Alone in a Harsh World-Chapter 2
So the details about what happened that lead up to this point starts being revealed beginning with a happy evening at the reception where a mysterious hidden figure begins making evil plans.
CHAPTER 2
Although Tirol felt his body began to heal inside itself to the proper state for him to run in and relax at the same time, he continued to toss and turn with the events of what had happened over the months that had caused him several restless and sleepless nights. Finally he found himself lying awake after a while coming to be in tears and anger was racing throughout his body as he wanted so much to murder the person that took everything away from him.
"Why!? I didn't do anything wrong?!" he asked himself feeling more alone than ever. The door popped open allowing Daphne to step inside carrying a tray loaded with food remembering that he ate a lot when he got there. "Oh, I hope we didn't wake you."
"No...you didn't." he answered shaking his head. "Couldn't really sleep actually."
"I thought you might want something to eat as you missed lunch." She said placing the tray down in his lap in front of him.
"Thank you, Daphne...you didn't need to." He said letting out a sad sigh however offering a smile in appreciation for what she did.
"Hey look...I wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about the baby." She said placing a kind hand on his shoulder. Tirol stopped in mid bite as the agonizing howl and scream from his past ripped throughout his mind causing him to break down into tears causing Daphne to hug him. "What happened?"
"Miri had a miscarriage...someone tried to rape her...I just got there to scare the person away." He sobbed.
"And the doctors couldn't save the baby?" she asked which he could only nod sadly. "How far was she along?"
"About a month...I think. I didn't think or know she was pregnant until the doctor sent me the message." He said.
"I'm so sorry to hear that, Tirol." She said barely hearing the front door open indicating Alva was home from running errands. "Where is Miri now?"
"She's at the packs medical center in recovery after the shock of the rape. I was in the packs jail for being accused of attempted murder and rape of her sister when I heard the howl of despair." He answered the event still playing in his head.
"Rape and attempted murder? What have you been doing for a year?" she asked.
"Let's wait until Alva can join us and I will tell you two the entire story." He said as his ears seem to follow the approaching footsteps just as the door opened revealing Alva standing there as he had predicted.
"Okay, how did you know-"
"That Alva was home and walking around the house? It comes with the advanced senses."
"What?"
"He claims that he is a werewolf." Alva said closing the door behind him. "He told me that he wanted to rest before he could change for us."
"If you want proof, I can change now...just telling you right now that when I am done, don't fear as it is still me." Tirol said getting out of bed turning his back to them before removing his clothing. "Don't want to ruin my clothes."
Before either could ask anymore question, Tirol's form began to shift before their eyes, growing larger and thicker with new muscles and fur sprouting out across his body. The two looked on in shock beginning to flinch at each snap and pop of the bones in his body began to reform making them realize that it may have been more painful than thought. However Tirol didn't even flinch or scream as his form continued to change.
Within minutes, a large wolf sat there on his haunches looking at them with a tongue hanging off to the side of his muzzle as a sort of wolf smile. "Okay, now I am convinced." Alva said taking a second before stepping forward to examine the wolf who stayed completely still as the human approached him. "So you are really in there?"
Tirol just nodded his head as an indication that he could still understand human speech however they shouldn't expect him to respond other than a nod or shake of his head. "Was it painful at all?" Daphne asked throwing in her own question. Again, the wolf shook his head. "No pain at all?" a shake of the head answered the question.
"And you are fully in control of your body?" Alva asked to which Tirol nodded. "You can transform and change back whenever you want?"
Tirol didn't answer it other than to switch forms again to human form again staying crotched on all fours until he slipped his pants back on before standing up on two legs again. "Yes, I can but it takes a lot of energy to do it so that's why I needed to rest before changing again so soon or I may have collapsed from exhaustion." He said taking a drink of the juice that Daphne brought in. "It's not really as painful as you may think, now that I have had some practice at shifting into that form."
"So is this why you didn't tell us what your job detailed?" Alva asked sitting down at one of the chairs.
"Pretty much, also for the safety of the pack that took me in...plus if you knew about werewolves in general you two would need to go before the council to see what would need to be done." He answered.
"But now?" Daphne asked.
"Wouldn't matter...I was exiled from the pack until I can capture or kill my target...the person that raped my mate, murdered both my child and attempted to murder then blame it on me, my sister in law." He growled low in his throat feeling the anger begin to boil inside of him. "However I need your help, Alva, in doing this job."
"Why me? Isn't being a werewolf giving you several advantages for the job?" he asked a bit surprise and confused by the request.
"I can't do it alone this time, man. Not in a situation like this. I am guessing that you two went through my bag while I was out?" he asked although he already knew the answer so he continued. "The targets name is Jason, he is the one that committed the acts...he is the one that I am hunting."
"And he is supposed to be hiding at one of these locations? If you were expelled how did you find out about this guys' location?"
"Maybe it would be easier if I start from the beginning after Miri and mine's wedding." Tirol said. "You see right after the wedding and reception party...
1 year ago-Pack Grounds
The laughter and cheerful chatting ringing throughout the night as children ran through the standing adults that were dancing, eating or chatting with each other. A lively brand that was brought in from the outside played a lovely melody to allow for anyone that wanted the chance to dance. Tirol and Miri took that exact opportunity to dance enjoying the sweet flavor of the night life without a care in the world.
And it was truly without any kind troubles at all with the wedding well-guarded with roving guards in the forest well hidden away from the sight so not to disturb the peace. Tirol's nieces found the grounds that the wedding was held around a great place to play hide and seek with the pack children. Thankfully enough the children's mothers informed that they needed to be careful as they were human and not werewolves, which the children agreed to be extremely careful not to harm or bite them. As soon as the services were done, the children were off like a shot heading off to play leaving the adults care free of course they would be back for cake and food when needed.
Sitting down at the tables that had been set up in an adjacent clearing nearby, a great assortment of foods ranging in meat, vegetables, pastries, etc. were laid out on a long stretch of table readied to be plated up. A small but good size dance floor was set up in the middle of the clearing surrounded by dining tables with a much larger table set up forward of the other tables. Here the Alpha and his mate along with the newlyweds sat with the bridesmaids and best men on either side of them, Tirol's sister and two spaces saved for their daughters whenever they decided to come and eat. Seated next to Sarah was a surprise guest that wasn't revealed until after the ceremony when everyone came forward to congratulate the couple.
Dressed in a finely made tuxedo like what Tirol was wearing, stood the Governor and his family with the children standing there wanting to know where the dog was wanting to play once more with him if given the chance. That caused several people to chuckle many already knowing that it wasn't possible as Tirol was needed elsewhere but Miri promised that maybe another time.
In the meantime, the governor went about offering congrads to the lovely couple before presenting them with a gift of fine china that was hand made for this occasion. Shocked and surprised by receiving such a fine gift, the governor went about telling them that it was also a thank you gift for Tirol risking his life to save his daughter and her friends.
Taking the item with great care the newlywed couple thanked the family for the amazing gift and to enjoy the reception that was taking part right now. Sarah quickly took possession of the gift shuttling it away to what the couple actually thought was back at the mansion however Turek and Sarah had yet to reveal their own special gift that had just been finished that day but kept hidden until the perfect time.
Turek stood up clinking his glass getting everyone's attention that were already seated and those that were dancing to look his way wanting to make a toast. "If I can get everyone's attention, please." He called as the laughter and chatter quieted down allowing him to talk. "I want to thank everyone for coming to this glamourize occasion. You know when I first was told that my little girl had met someone that came on a rare occasion when we had gotten threats of kidnapping I had my concerns of course. However when she brought the person that she had met to meet the family, I had even more doubts to the point that I wasn't sure about him until I got to know him. At that time I have found and come to understand why my daughter has come to love him, and every time I believe that this wasn't the man for her, I was proven wrong.
"The final goal in which both he and my daughter got captured did I learn of his commitment to make sure that she was safe or anyone that may come in contact with will be safe before worrying about himself. Everyone evens our esteemed guests," Turek said indicating the governor and his family sitting beside him "are here to see the commitment and joining of Miri and Tirol as each has been touched by both. I would ask each of you to raise your glasses to wish both good health and happy marriage until the end of their days."
"Here, here!" everyone called giving a round of applause as Turek sat down at that moment Tirol stood once more picking up his own glass.
"I want to thank each of you for coming out here on such a special occasion it means a lot to both me and Miri. You know when after my parents had died and a lot of my other family had either moved away or I didn't have much contact with, I felt alone like half of my heart was left empty causing me to look all over the place to find someone to fill the hole. After what seemed like years of searching, in the amazing way I came upon Miri and she appeared to me like an angel a sign from god that I shouldn't give up no matter what.
"Again the mysterious woman was a mystery to me until in time, she opened my eyes to the truth that our meeting wasn't an accident just a signal that my path intertwined with another and the path that I needed to take wasn't the normal one I went about every day. No it was time to change and change for the better; I want to thank Miri and her wonderful family for welcoming me with open arms into their family as now I feel more whole than ever."
With that the applause happened one final time allowing the evening to quiet down enough that the chatter and laughter began with earnest once more. Everything seemed like it wouldn't be out of place, however from the shadows a figure watched shadows keeping his or her features from being seen even if someone was looking that way.
An evil glare shown in his or her eyes as they watched the toasts being said and the happy evening being said a deep seeded hatred already filling the person's heart with greed and desire to ruin the happy marriage. A plan had already begun to form itself in the person's head with each plan going down one step at a time and how it would all plan out with no one in the pack being the wiser until it was too late to really stop the events from happening. "Yes...they shall never know the truth until it is too late."
