Vals Story chapter 1
#1 of Vals story
This is my first installment of Val's story
Val never thought Uchitel, his teacher, the only person he had, would do this to him. Why? Well somebody "slipped" that he was gay, and thats never tolerated in combat school. But, he thought to himself, I will deal with that later. Now I have things to do and places to go. Who needs an old man like Uchitel anyway? Well, now it's just me and the open road. Whatever happens, happens.
As he walked the busy, clustered streets he thought of what he should do. He had no place to go except his little apartment; he had no job, and barely enough money for food. He accepted the fact of tolerating it all. But now, he thought, is not the time to feel bad for myself. Now is the time to make a living. The blazing sun scorched Vals back as he slowly walked down the cities welcoming streets. Different markets and traders lined the side tryign to sell goods to any person who even glanced at them from a mile away.
Right when the sign came into view, Val knew that's what he was going to do. The sign read "Street fighters needed." Now was his chance to finally prove to himself, his father, and everyone else, that he was the best. He speed walked into the club. During the day Daniel, the bartender, was putting down the chairs and getting ready for the night. Daniel was a 5'7 brown Rabbit with no muscles whatsoever. He was the least healthy fur that Val knew. The only reason he still worked there was because he was good at his job. He wore a tabby blue waistcoat and stripped pants.
"What brings you here Val?" Daniel inquired without looking up. Val had a distinct heavy footed walk to him.
"I'm looking for the fighter job," he answered back.
"What about Uchitel. Didn't he tell you to stay away from here?"
Val swiftly walked up to the bartender grabbed his neck and whispered in his ear, "Things are different now Daniel. I'm on my own. So you either give me the job or I rip out your throat." Daniel shuddered. He had no doubt that Val could rip his throat out with his bare hands. After all who wants to mess with a tiger? Especially one trained by Uchitel himself.
Daniel handed over a piece of paper that required a simple signature. Val snatched the pen from Daniels front shirt pocket and scribbled a messy signature onto the paper. The scratch of the pen on paper and the nervous breathes of Daniel were all that was heard. After what seemed like an eternity, the rabbit took back his pen and stuffed the paper deep inside his waistcoat. Val shifted his double Raptor daggers. Both were strapped across his chest and rested on his upper ribs.
"Well it's settled then," he stammered, "You're in" Val smiled and walked out of the club as if he owned it.
"I'll come tomorrow to fight, correct?" Val said as he opened the door.
"Yes Val, there's a fight tomorrow with you're name on it"
"Good" he strutted out of the building, sweating heavily. He walked down the street realizing that he was being followed. Ready for action he smiled and went down an alleyway, stopping in the middle. Turning around he said, "What do you want? I know you're following me." Heavy sighs were heard as two men stepped from the shadows. These men were Vals fellow students a Uchitel's school. The first, a 6'0 German Shepard known as Sobaka, spoke.
"Uchitel had sent us to kill you Val," he had a sad look on his face, " ive always liked you though. This is a shame." The second, an otter known as Vydra, put on a mean face and spoke next.
"Im sorry Val. i didnt want to do this but we were ordered to do it." These students were the best in the class of Uchitel's. Besides Val. He put on a brave grin and spoke.
"Uchitel has deceived you. You know that you cant defeat me. But i will give you a chance for old times sake." With that, Vydra and Sobaka pulled out daggers and circled Val. He effortlessly slid both his daggers from his straps and waited for one of his old colleagues to attack. Sobaka was the first to dive forward. Val smoothly dodged him and sliced a line down his back, kicking him to the side. Sobaka got up, anger in the pit of his eye. His enemies circled him once again waiting for the perfect moment.
They found it when Val, intentionally, switched his attention skyward. Vydra tried to plunge into Val's stomach, but Val was prepared and caught his wrist, flinging it into Sobaka who was advancing at Val's back. Sobaka tumbled to the ground, blood pooring from his wound. He yelled in pain and grabbed the wound with his hands. Sobaka looked at Vydra one last tiem and died. Vydra watched, horrified that he killed his own comrade. With a quick flick of a wrist Val stabbed Vydra in the chest and dropped him to the ground. Val cleaned off his knifes on Vydra's clothes and replaced them in their homes. Nonchalantly, Val walked out into the blazing sun and into the busy streets once more.
"Blast this sun," he needed to get somewhere cool, and he knew just the place. Val crossed the city on the bus and got off at the beach. The city was way to crowded for your own car. Beautiful day for flirting. He always had a weakness for the beach. Even though he hated water and the sun which are the two main parts of the beach. But he always found some tolerance, only for the furs.
Val padded into the locker room to find a couple guys making out in the back. He found himself jealous of them and proceeded to undress. He pulled off his soaked black tank top, along with his combat boots and his Spetsnaz issue camouflage pants. He put his things away and stood for a second in his dark red trunks, thinking of who the lucky fur will be this time. As he turned around and saw instead the two guys were staring at him. He casually smiled and smoothed out his white fur.
Val walked by the mirror he and he couldn't help but look at his reflection. His bright green eyes stared back at him. A 6''11, Siberian Tiger is more then to be afraid of. He slowly scaled his body and observed his many scars. Maybe getting away from Uchitel was the best decision.
Casually walking onto the crowded beach he put on his aviator glasses and greeted Volk, his close wolf friend. He was about 6'1, dark brown fur, uncommon blue eyes, and had a natural strut to his walk.
"VAL!!! Good to see you bro. Heard you got sacked with Uchitel huh? Sucks man. probably for the best though."
Val smiled as he approached Volk and his usual crowd of 4-5 male furs all standing around drinking and talking. "WOW news travels fast huh? Yes it's for the best, Volk" he said, "Any new comers?" Volk always had guys coming in and going out of his little group, which he ironically called "The Beach Boys".
"Yup just one in today. Thought maybe you could break him in," he winked, "HEY LEO come over here i want you to meet someone" A snow leapord with very few black spots came running toward Volk and Val. The 5'8, ice blue eyed, white leopord polished off a last shot of vodka as he ran. He was slim and healthy, but his muscles werent as toned as Vals. He wore a baby blue speedo that made him look even sexier in Val's eyes.
"Hi," he said reaching out his hand to Val, "I'm Leo"
Val realized he was staring and took Leo's hand, "Val," was all he could process to say.
Volk silently walked away. "Ill let you two get to know each other."
Leo invited Val over to the bar and they got to know each other very well. The conversation lead on to other things that eventually ended them up a Val's apartment. Leo was fast asleep over Val's soft chest at the end of the night. Val thought about a relationship. He slowly drifted off to sleep, smiling, thinking of Leo......
