7 Months Of Rain Ch 9

I deeply apologize for the delay in this chapter. In the past few months I have been trying to deal with a lot of issues. Granted, I still am dealing with those issues. Depression, the past and worry of the future. They are all hard to overcome. I decided to try writing to relieve my senses. It was hard getting back into the swing of things but I am currently working on Chapter 10 which will be the main chapter I've been looking forward to. Hope you all enjoy this chapter. Thank you for watching and supporting me. I love writing about Austin and Jake as I'm sure you are of knowing about them in this story.

Chapter 9

          Ouch!

That was the message that Jake's fingers told him as he tried to hold down the strings on his guitar to form a chord.

His left hand did nothing but cringe at the pain. The blood in his hand started to seep through his bandages the harder he tried to play.

D Minor Chord, painful.

A Chord, even more painful.

G Chord, Bloody hell.

C Chord, Ok that's enough, blood is starting to drip onto the fretboard and onto the bed.

Jake laid his head upon his pillow and stared at the ceiling. With his hand bleeding he couldn't play his guitar, making him depressed. Playing the guitar was one of the few things that kept him out of depression. He had been alone for so long, he was no longer familiar with the feel of embrace; the feel of someone being there to tell you sweet things.

In every relationship he has had, he was always the one to say the sweet things and do the sweet favors and gifts. No matter how hard he tried, he never got that equal treatment, all he got was proposition to sex and a couple of "awes". They all presumed that was what he wanted, it was not.

Everyone seems to think that gay love was all about sex just because men tend to be more hormonal, especially in homosexual relationships; therefore people think that there is no such thing as real love between two men or two women.

That is not true, nor has it been or ever will be, Jake always thought this to himself, however the thought made him frown, knowing that he could never prove that when he was alone. He just hoped that when, if ever he was no longer alone that he could prove that gay love can be real. He just hoped that the one who would take him into his life will change and make his love life the dream he always craved.

Before he could sink in lonely thoughts, Jake's phone rang and displayed a text from Disarm Studios.

From: Disarm Studios

Hey Jake, heard about the incident, will you be ok for Friday's sessions?

-Robert

Jake didn't like the thought of disappointing Robert, but he saw he was in no shape to play his guitar.

To: Disarm Studios

Hi Robert, I believe I'll be able to show up but I don't believe I'll be able to  play the guitar L My hand got injured and I can't pull down any chords.

From: Disarm Studios

That's a shame, can you play anything else?

-Robert

Jake looked around his room and realized he had an old keyboard in his closet, he hadn't played it in a while but he did remember it as his first instrument.

He fished the instrument out and plugged it into the wall. It still worked but it was dusty.

He played a few octave chords and immediately caught himself into a melody, realizing the keys were easy on his hands.

To: Disarm Studios

I can play the piano for you if that's fine.

From: Disarm Studios

Sounds wonderful see you then.

-Robert

It was a long week at school for everyone. This week was the national school spirit week, the celebration that most boys dreaded and despised. Jake just sulked with his friends and turned on his headphones so he wouldn't have to hear the preppy cheerleaders go on about the Dimetown Wolves being better than the other school's team; the Eagles.

Austin had a horrible time during the celebration. There would be those cheerleaders that would try to hit on him and give him their phone numbers. Before he could even decline, Jade comes in and pushes the girls away. If they don't go quietly, she tells them some embarrassing thing about Austin that leaves them disgusted.

"Hey Jake, guess who I saw last weekend?" Danielle said, pulling out one of Jake's headphones.

"Who?" He murmured.

"Austin." She said with a smile.

Jake's head rose from his folded arms in an instant, his eyes wide open.

"Ha, I knew it!" Danielle shouted, "You have a crush on him!"

"Shush!" Jake yelled covering his friend's mouth with his hands.

"Hi Jake." said a distant voice.

Jake turned his head and saw the football player holding a tray of food with a concerned look on his face.

"I heard what happened over the weekend after I saw you, is everything alright?"

His voice is so gentle and sweet. Jake thought.

He shook his head at Austin "Yeah, I'm fine now, hurt pretty bad though. I won't be able to play guitar for a while I can tell you that."

Austin snickered "I wouldn't recommend trying it, chords hurt so much."

Jake giggled and nodded in agreement "Looks like I'll be playing piano tonight."

"Well I hope you'll feel better soon Jake." Austin said before leaving "Rock on."

"Hehe, did someone go spying on a certain hunk?" Danielle said, pointing his finger at Jake's nose.

Jake was turning red and tried biting at his friend's finger to defy her assumption.

"So what if I am? He's probably as straight as a flag pole."

His friend did nothing but giggle more. "Or maybe he is as straight as the Leaning Tower of Pisa. He asked quite a bit about you."

"Really?" Jake asked "Why?"

"Beats me, he just wanted to know more about you, like what kind of person you are."

Jake raised his eyebrows, he never thought Austin would be even remotely interested in someone like him; a high school loser. On the other hand, Jake didn't even know Austin's orientation so he didn't want to jump to any conclusions.

"You should look into this Jake, plus if you don't snatch him up, I will."

His friend said with a devious smile as she went to throw away her lunch.

-------------------------------------

It was 4 in the afternoon and Jake was casting up his hands one more time before deciding to go out for his musical session. He had written some new lyrics and prepared for some cover songs.

To Live & Lose

Once a fallen star,

In winter's warmth,

Pieces of what used to be,

Starlight, upon a grave,

Now fades to darkness,

A True Nightmare

I roam this world alone,

Leading to nowhere,

Are you feeling alright?

Don't ask me the same way,

Jake couldn't help but sigh at the fact that he could never write happy lyrics. He never had inspiration. He only knew the recent feelings of emptiness and sorrow. Still, he hopes to relieve those feelings and let a new one inside his heart

Austin was in his home picking out what to wear for when he went to Jake's music session; undetected of course.

When he stumbled into his closet, he found a black denim jacket and a dark purple t-shirt. He pulled them out and tried them out in the mirror. The black was slimming but the size of the jacket and the tininess of the purple shirt highlighted and made his muscles bulge.

His abs showed so easily and his pecs were easy to see past his black jacket. The jock smiled at himself and put on some black dyed jeans to match his sexy dark appearance.

After shaving and slipping into some leather boots, Austin leaves with a smile on his face, hoping to listen to some nice music and look at some eye candy.
