#2 of Age of the Raptors
I woke up sometime the later that day, and for the first time in a long time, I felt safe. After a good stretch, I got up and took in my surroundings. I got up off the floor and started to get in the bed to go to back asleep when I heard the door behind me unlock and open. I quickly turned around to see who it was, but no one was at the doorway. I heard a good number of Raptors yelling downstairs, which made me wonder what was going on. Zue looked out the door and started to walk out. When she got on the other side she looked back at me and tapped her leg again.

"That's insane; I've never seen one of those up close before... How the hell did you pay for it?" One of the raptors exclaimed.
"Yeah, how? You fucked the Creditor again?" another chimed in.
"Nope. Zren bought it with some funds his organization gave him. Something to do with his experiments and stuff..." Zue said as she walked over to the couch and plopped down. I was a little apprehensive to join the group, so I didn't say anything and stood where I was, until one of them had an idea.
"Hey can it do any tricks? No wait! Let's see if it can get drunk!" One of the males called out, and all the others yelled that I should do it.
I did not understand what "drunk" meant at the time. Though I was smart for my race, there were many things that I did not know. One of the Raptors got up and walked to the open kitchen that was at the end of the living room. He brought back several bottles and set them about 2 feet away. Twisting off a cap on one of the bottles, he started to drink.
I saw how he opened the bottle, so I picked up one and did the same thing. When I opened it cheers and laughing came from the group as they watched me do it. I did not see what the big deal was, but apparently them seeing a human open a drink was a sight to see. I started to drink the liquid, but promptly spat it back out. "What they don't know won't hurt them." another raptor responded. Zue just grinned and continued to watch.
With the threat of a few Raptors, I continued to drink the bottles that were at my side, retching the entire way, but it was not long till I started to feel light-headed. It became a little difficult to stand straight up, and I fell over once; the Raptors thought that it was funny as hell.
"Ok guys enough. I'm going to get him cleaned up before Zren get back," Zue announced.
