The Life and Adventures of Gunther Ward *Preview*
A small preview of what is going to be my third story series. This one is going to be very different from my other two. The flow of this preview is inspired by movie trailers so if it seems a bit odd that is why.
A bright light shines down upon the group causing their wounds to healing, their energy returning. They all breath a collective sigh of relief and get ready to continue onwards after their long hard battle and well earned victory.

I gasp in horror as I watch the bloodstained and battered wolf shakily get back to his feet before letting out one last mighty howl as he charges the horde of the undead with his eyes poised on the old badger necromancer laughing maniacally at their center.

She breaths out slowly calming herself in preparation for her oncoming assault. She raises her hand and a small chill seems to pass over the field before she finally yells out, "Glacial Storm!". The feral beasts continue their charge before they are suddenly stopped dead in their tracks by a large chunk of ice falling out of the sky. We can hear yelps of pain as more and larger chunks of ice suddenly start raining down upon the wild beasts. In mere moments the entire pack is no longer as she turns to us with a cheerful smile and says, "Well, that was easier than expected."

When we arrive at the clearing we embrace passionately. We stand there in the moonlight just hugging each other for what feels like an eternity. When I start to pull back he tightens his grip so hard that it almost knocks the wind out of me. I get more concerned as I feel him shaking and hear him start to sob. I rubbed his back comfortingly and that got him to loosen his grip. Then I said in the most soothing voice I could muster, "Shhhshhhshh. I'm here Aiden. What's wrong sweetie?" He continues to sob as he says, "I-I-I'm just s-so happy. I missed *sob* having you by my side so much these last few years. I-I've dreamed that this day would come and it has finally arrived. I'm so ha-happy-y." I continued to stroke his back as I shushed him and said, "It's alright Aiden. I missed you too. There's no need to cry. I'm here now." He slowly pulls his face off my shoulder and I see the tear streaks matting down his cheek fur. As I use my thumb to wipe away the streaks he says, "I-I'm sorry. I've just been so worried that all the time and distance would drive a wedge between us and I would lose you." As I wipe the last remnants of his tears away I smile and say, "It's okay Aiden. That didn't happen. And it won't. Nothing as silly as a little time away from you would ever stop me from loving you. You should know that." He sniffles as he says, "I do know that. I don't know why I had those feelings and I tried to push them away, but having you here just brought them flooding back." I hug him gently as I say, "Well, you don't need to feel that way anymore because I'm here now and I'm not going anywhere. And there is nothing that can change that." After a moment of calm, comforting silence between us I pull back again and look deeply into his still moist eyes. I see myself reflected in his gaze before I close my eyes and we lock our muzzles together in a long, powerful kiss.

He slowly and quietly makes his way past the guards. Using his power to bend shadows he knew that there was no possible way for them to detect him. He is invisible to the naked eye and despite his large size he walks with the silent confidence of a skilled rouge. As he slips into the fortress he makes quick note of all the guards on patrol and all the doors and passageways, knowing from experience that this knowledge would prove critical should something go awry and he is in need of a quick escape. He breaths silently as he makes his way to the lord's chamber.

I let out a loud gasp as I stand there in awe of the scene before me. Never before in my short time of being alive would I have thought that I would be witness to such sights. Not too long ago I was just an ordinary weapons and armor shopkeeper with a background in white magic. How far I had come and the things I had seen since then I would never have imagined being a part of. It appears the fates had very much in store for me. And it looks like they were only getting started.

A small peek at a new story I have in the works. Decided to make a preview because I have a lot of ideas floating around and not much written down. The first 4 chapters will be nothing but character and world building. It may take some time, but I do plan on this being a long, and hopefully entertaining, journey so I hope this preview helps in getting you all pumped for some good old fantasy style adventuring.
