The Adventures of Stevo-Chapter 3-Africa,1965,Part 1
Suddenly Stevo heard a growl. He gulped and looked up. In front of him, was a panther. He was in trouble.
"Uh... nice kitty." he said worriedly. The panther roared at him, which made him run like heck with his luggage.
He ran for about half a mile until he saw some tree branches in the dirt. He had an idea, so he grabbed a big branch, hid his luggage behind the tree, and climbed on top of it. When the panther was trying to find him, he was about to jump out. And when he did, the panther looked up. And then... BAM! He hit the panther hard enough that the branch broke in half and knocked it out. And when he saw the panther laying unconscious, he got his luggage and took off.
As he was running, he wandered about the journey he was in now. "So this must be what the figure was talking about: 1965. But what do I remember that happened that year?" And as he was thinking, he tripped over a branch and fell into the water, which knocked him out. He and his luggage went up the Nile River for a while, that is, when someone, or sometwo, found him.
When Bucky and Dodie (both deer, male and female) were eating, they saw something on the bank of the river. (They were taught to speak English)
"Hmm... I wonder what that is. Bucky, go see what it is." When Bucky quietly walked over to Stevo, he ran back scared when she looked at his face.
"Oh my! Dodie, it's a human! We gotta tell Kimba about this!" So they left to find him.
Meanwhile, Dan'l (the baboon), Pauley Cracker (the parrot), and Kimba (the White Lion) were getting some things for the eatery (if you've watched the show, you know what I'm talking about) when they came running towards them with a scared look on their faces and Bucky accidentally bumped into Pauley. "Kimba, Kimba!"
"Hey what's the big idea? You could've killed me!"
"Oh sorry, Pauley."
"Dodie, Bucky, what's the matter? You look like you two have seen a ghost."
"Kimba, we found a human washed up on the bank. We need you to look at it." So Kimba, Pauley and Dan'l followed them.
There, Kimba was surprised to see what he was seeing. "A human being mysteriously washed upon the river bank? Hmm..." Kimba looked at Dodie for a moment.
"Dodie, how did you find him?"
"Well, we found him when we were eating grass."
"Interesting." When he got a closer look, Stevo was still breathing, yet spewing water from the river. He was stunned. "He's still alive! Quick, let's take him and his suitcase back to the eatery!" So everyone pitched in and help lifted Stevo back there.
When they got there, they put him on a empty table. Dan'l did CPR a few times, and Stevo woke up spitting more water out. "Look, he's waking up!" Pauley yelled.
"Huh, what happened? How long was I out?"
"We found you in the banks of the river." said Dan'l.
"WAH! A talking baboon?! AGH!" Stevo backed off.
"What are you talking about?" said Bucky, looking curious.
"A talking deer, too?! WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?!" Then Kimba smacked Stevo.
"Calm down. We aren't gonna hurt you. We just saved you from drowning."
"Oh. Then how can all of you speak English so well?" he was puzzled.
"By Kimba, of course." Dodie said. He looked at Kimba. "So that's who I'm meeting." he thought. Then he had flashbacks of himself watching the show back when he was in preschool.
"So, what's your name?" he looked back.
"Oh, I'm Stevo."
"Well Stevo, I'm Kimba." Kimba then points out to the others. "And these are Bucky, Pauley, Dan'l, and Dodie."
"Well nice to meet you al- wait... where's my suitcase?"
"It's fine, except we left your clothes out to dry since found them wet."
"Oh. Well okay then, that won't be a problem. Kimba, do you have something to eat?
"Oh, we got some edible leaves, burnt bugs, rice, pretty much."
"Rice? I'll take that."
After he was done eating at one of the wooden tables, he was stuffed.
"Ah, I haven't ate rice this good since they served it in the mess tent in Korea." he said to himself. Kimba walked up.
"Are you done, Stevo?" Kimba asked.
"Yes, I think I've had enough to eat for today." Then he looked outside, seeing that the sky was starting to go dark.
"Oh no, I've got nowhere to sleep!"
"That's okay, Stevo, you can sleep in my hut."
"Oh, um... thank you." So Stevo got his things and followed Kimba to his hut.
When they got there, he started to put his sleeping bag up and got his clothes for the next day. As he was about to lay, he looked at a white rug with a lion's head beside Kimba.
"Kimba, who is that beside you?"
"Oh, that's my father. Sorry if he bothers you a little."
"That's alright. Night, Kimba."
"Night, Stevo."
When he was asleep, the figure appeared and waked him up.
"Stevo, it's me again. I just want you to know that sometime tomorrow, you'll have to wear the ring. Understood?"
"Yes, sir. And could you keep it down, there's a lion sleeping in here."
"Oh sorry." Then the figure simply faded away.
The next morning, he got up and did some stretches outside. Then Kimba woke up next and walked out to see him.
"Oh, good morning, Kimba."
"Good morning."
"Kimba, can you show me the way around here?"
"Oh sure yeah. Mind for some breakfast first?"
"No thanks." So, for the rest of the day, they went walking around the forest, with Kimba showing Stevo the other animals and places. But while that was happening, hidden in the trees, someone wasn't happy to see them, mainly Stevo.
"What is a human doing here? He shouldn't be here, not at all. But no worries, once he and Kimba fall into my trap, I'll have that human for lunch. *snickers*."
When they were walking through the forest that leads to the hunter's territory, Stevo and Kimba were having a conversation.
"Kimba, I'm starving. Do you have anymore rice?"
"Why sure, we have plentYYYYYY!" Then a dark lion popped out from the trees.
"Claw! Not you again!" Kimba yelled.
"Yes, it is I, now hand over the human!" Claw yelled.
"If you want him, you gotta go through me first! Run, Stevo, run!" Kimba yelled again. Then Stevo did as he told him to while Kimba and Claw were fighting.
As Stevo ran, he hid behind a tree. "I wish I would go back there and help, but if I do, I'd be ripped to shreds!" Then an idea popped. "Hey, maybe it's time I should put the ring on." He grabbed the ring in his pocket and put it on. But it was a mistake.
"Aah, what's happening to me?!" Then, his body began to change. His skin turned furry, his legs turned into hindpaws, everything was changing to him. When he looked after it stopped, he couldn't believe what he was now.
"What the? Oh sweet, I'm an anthro now!" Without him noticing, Kimba found him. He was shocked.
"Stevo, what happened to you?!" Stevo's eyes widened as he heard Kimba yelling. He turned around, seeing Kimba with a frightened look on his face.
