Ryan slowly opened his eyes. He felt numb and his vision was blurry. He heared something, but couldnt really realize it. Then he saw a shadow above him and after his vision cleared a little bit, he could see it was Cath.

„Ryan?! Are you alright?! Say something, please..."

„Ca...Cath, hey..."

A sigh of relief came out of her. She began to smile slightly. Then Ryan realized something, a warm, soft senstion on his hands... he lookes down and saw it was Caths hand. She blushed a little bit and took her hand away.

„Cath... i..."

„Why did you... he stabbed you..."

He looked at her and tried to sat up, but she didnt let him. She placed her hand on his chest and pushed him back on the matress.

"Why did you interfere... again?"

„I... i..." he tried to find the right way to tell her, it was hard..."i didn't want to... loose you..."

„You just... gave your life... to protect mine?" She pointed on his chest."No one, neither Human nor Digimon, could survive that!... You... I am the one to protect you, not the other way..."

She was sobbing. Ryan managed to sit up and looked at her.

"It was... my failure. You got hurt because of me... you nearly got... killed..."

Ryan looked at her, tears running down her cheeks.

"No, Cath... I wanted to..." he stopped, he didn't know what to say.

"I... I have to know, Ryan. It's the second time you threw yourself into danger, just to save me. Why... why are you doing this?"

Ryan sighed and looked away.

"Cath... you have to understand... I..."

"But I can't! I can't understand it until you told me why!"

He sighed again and faced her, looking into her bright and blue, but crying eyes.

"You know... to meet you was something... that changed my life. You're the... most important person to me. Cath... I wanted to tell you all the time... that I..." He looked at her for only a second, then he took all his courage, to finally tell her.

"Cath... I love you."

Cath stared at him in surprise and a little bit shocked, but at the same time... she felt happy.

"You... l-love me?" She began to shake slightly.

"Cath... I love you more than anything in this world. I would be glad to give my life for you... everytime I would have to. I love you, Cath, thats why I don't want to loose you."

She just sat there, staring at him for a moment. But then she broke the silence between them.

"Ryan..." she hugged him, closing her arms tightly around him. He looked at her, he was surprised by this reaction, honestly he didn't even know what to expect after all.

"C-cath?"

She lifted her head, so her mouth was now next to his ear.

"Ryan... I don't want to loose you either!" he heared her sobbing and crying, feeling her thightening her grip around him. "Youre the most kind person i've ever met. I want to be with you... Ryan... I... I love you, too!"

His heart began to beat faster and smiling he began to hug her back. He never was more happy in his entire life. Everything seemed peaceful, while he hugged her, as if she was the only thing that mattered now. They didnt know how long they were hugging each other, it seemed like an eternity. Then Cath pushed herself away a little bit.

„Ryan... you should rest now."

He looked at her. She seemed exhausted too.

„You look like you could use some sleep, too. Didn't you sleep?"

She shook her head.

„I wanted to wait until you wake up... Ryan... could i sleep with you, tonight?"

He nodded, „yeah... sure..."

She smiled and layed down right next to him. He put his sleeping bag around them both, and Cath snuggled up to him carefully. He placed his arm around her back and hold her tight.

„Good night Cath."

„Good night... my love."

...You failed!"

„I'm sorry, Master."

He was standing in front of her, a tall, pale skinned guy with long black hair and brown eyes.

„Youre sorry, huh? You lost against this stupid fool! You! Youre considered to be one of the most strong Rookies ever, but anyway you lost!" he shouted.

Cath winced, she was in pain. She had wounds all over her body and her fur was messed up with sweat and blood. But her Master didnt care.

„I'm sorry. I'll promise it will never happen again, Master."

He began to laugh, and stood in front of her.

„You dissapointed me! I'm sure you wont loose again,.. i'll make sure!"

Before she could react his fist launched forward, hitting her straight into the face. She fell to the ground and tried to get up again, only to get kick into her stomach. She screamed and coughed. Dribs of blood covering the ground.

„Weak Bitch! This was hardly anything... and you can't even stand now?"

He kicked her again. Cath groaned at the pain, but not able to defend herself, she felt... weak. Her limbs felt numb, she couldn't move. Her Master grabbed her by her neck, pulling her up.

„M-mas...ter... please..."

„Shut up!"

He throw her to the ground again.

„The punishment didn't even started yet!"

Ryan woke up to a sudden pain in his back. He opened his eyes only to see Cath. She was asleep but she was shaking violently and groaning something he couldn't understand. Then she clenched her arms around him and the pain grew again. Her claws sliced in his back as she clenched even more, shoving her claws in his back.

„Ah...Cath... wake up! Please, AH!"

Her eyes shot open, staring at him.

„R-ryan?" relieved she hugged him, but then she was startled by Ryans screams.

„Whats wrong." she asked worried.

„Ah... you're... clawing... my back, AH!"

Immediately she released him and took her hands to her.

„I'm sorry, Ryan! Did... i hurt you?"

He shook his head in relieve.

„Aaaaah...No, i'm alright."

She sighed, but then she recognized the blood on her claws.

„I... i did hurt you..."

„Cath, its..."

She looked at him in total shock, she couldn't believe that she just hurt him.

„Ryan, i'm sorry! I didn't want to hurt you! Don't be mad at me, i'm so sorry!"

„Cath, stop it!" She stopped and layed her head on his chest.

„...I'm so sorry... i hurt you..."

Ryan put his hand on the back of her head and stroked her slightly.

„It's okay, just some scratches."

„Your not mad at me?"

He shook his head, Cath slowly grabbed his hands and hold them tightly. Ryan tightened his grip around her and hugged her. After a while he heared some voices outside.

„If you don't mind, i would get out and wash the blood from my back."

„Sure... i'm sorry."

„It's allright. You can wait here if you want."

She nodded. Ryan got up and went out of the tent. His back was in pain, but he didnt want to worry her. Outside he was greeted by Ruki and Nick.

„Hey, you allright?"

„No... not really. Could you look at my back please, i have a little problem." He turned his back to him and lifted his shirt.

„What the....!!" Nick inspected scratches."Oh, you sure had fun together, huh?"

„Shut up!" He said annoyed, "She just had a nightmare and was clenching her claws into me. Now tell me, am i going to survive?"

He asked chuckling. Nick took another look on the wounds.

„They arent very deep. Mostly just scratches. Wait ill get the first-aid-kit."

He got the kit and began to clean the wounds.

„Good thing you got that stuff with you."

„After the incident with Meramon last week," Nick started to explain," i've expected some... more incidents and got the kit and even some stuff from my dad... he's a doc you know?.. but well, i didnt really expect stuff like fixing you up because Cath claws at you." He chuckled.

„She didn't want to! It was just a nightmare and... well..."

„Okay, give me a few minutes." Nick started to fix him up. After an while he was done. Ryan got up and stretched himself.

„Ryan?"

He turned around to face Cath. She just got out of the tent. He put on his shirt again and walked over to her.

„Hey, i thought you wanted to wait."

„I was worried." She looked into his eyes, „I didn't want to hurt you."

He layed his hand on her shoulder.

„Im alright. Nick fixed me up."

She nodded and grabbed his hand. She sighed and pulled herself nearer to him.

„Tough, i'm sorry. I... i love you."

He smiled and hugged her.

„I love you too, Cath."

suddenly he heared some whistling behind them, he looked around. Nick was laughing and whistled again. Ryan sighed and turned back to Cath, she began to smile and gave him a short kiss on his cheek. He got red and looked at her, a little bit surprised, but enjoying it.

„We found the subject, Sir."

A man wearing a black suit inspected the the big screen in front of him. It showed a map and a location was marked.

„The corrupted Digimon is back in this world." The scientist continued.

The other man sat down on a big armchair.

„How did we found it?" he asked in a demanding voice.

„It defeated an hostile ultralevel. Icedevimon, sir."

„An ultralevel? It's just a rookie!"

„It evolved to a... megalevel: Sinthoramon. It's possible that it has a new tamer, sir."

„A new one..."

He stood up and walked out of the room.

„Send a scout-team. I want to know who the new tamer is!"

Just then there was something more he had in mind.

„And load the data of this... Icedevimon."
