Fyren stared at the wolf's eyes as they sat together on his couch, Chase leaned in slowly for another kiss, suddenly the doorbell rang. Quickly Chase pulled away from the husky and hurried off to answer the door leaving Fyren disappointed on the couch. My ears perked up as I picked up my wolf's voice from the front door, "Fie a person named Jinn is here to pick you up". I gave a sigh as I stood up and walked to the front door, spotting Jinn at the entrance, I shot him a glare, which confused him. "Err did I do something sir?"
I stopped next to the wolf and gave another sigh, "It's nothing Jinn, let's go." As I walked out the doorway I turned back towards the wolf, "Good night Chase", before the wolf could react I leaned in and gave him a peck on the cheek. Jinn seems to be at a loss of words as he saw me kiss the wolf on the cheek, the look on Jinn's face made the wolf look away in embarrassment, "Good night Fie...". I walked towards Jinn's car as the door closed behind me. Jinn seem to snap back into focus as he followed behind me.
In the car, the silence was heavy in the air. Jinn occasionally looked at me while he is driving as if he wanted to say something. When it seems like he isn't going to start a conversation, I started it for him. "So were you surprised?"
"Yeah... What was that about? Another one of your snacks?"
"Yes... and no"
Jinn looked over to me, missing a red light as he looked over. I sighed as I heard the sound of a police car signaling us to pull over. "Fuck" Jinn sighed as he pulled over to the side of the road. The cop came out of his car and walked over to Jinn's window which had to be rolled down. "Sir, do you know what you did to get pulled over?"
"I ran a red light..." Grumbled Jinn, the tiger looked over at me, with eyes begging for help.
I chuckled and leaned over towards the driver's seat, "Hello, excuse me. Can you look right here for a second?"
As the cop looked toward me I activated my Mesmer, locking my eyes with his I asked nicely, my voice sounding like an echo to the mesmerized. "Can you please let us go this time?" The cop seems to fall in a daze, as a light blue glow seems to surround his iris. The cop nodded his head, "Sure... Just... don't do it again..." The cop then walked away and got back into his car.
Jinn took this moment to quickly drive away. "Thank you sir"
The car pulled on the driveway; Jinn got off and opened the door for Fyren. The husky got out and opened the door letting them both in. "I could have opened the door for you sir...' said the tiger as he walked in to the door after the husky, then closing the door behind him. "I am not crippled Jinn, I can open my own doors"
With the house still dark, Fyren landed on the couch with a muffled thud as Jinn slowly came and sat next to the husky. Giving two quick and loud claps the lights turned on, flashing a bright light into the husky's eyes. "Urg... I didn't know this house can do that". With an amused grin the tiger looked over at the blinded husky, "I had it installed this morning sir, thought you might like it". Rubbing the slight pain in his eyes away, Fyren glared at the tiger "I love it just don't attack me with it". Jinn got up and gave a slight bow, "Understood sir". As the tiger started towards the kitchen to make some food Fyren stopped him suddenly with a sentence, "What do you think about relationships?"
Jinn paused, his mind trying to wrap around the question. "What do you mean sir?"
"I meant like... have you ever fallen in love with someone?"
The tiger's fur seems to stand up as the words hit him hard, "Sir, you do know that I am just a lowly servant? I am not worthy for your feelings of lov-". Before the tiger could ramble any further the husky laughed making Jinn stop mid-sentence.
"Ha I didn't mean it that way Jinn, I meant what you think about them in general"
The tiger paused and gave it a little thought for a second before answering, "I personally do not need love from someone when I have you sir"
"You make me sound oppressing..."
"Ah I don't mean it to sound like that... but I do imagine that falling for someone feels like a wonderful thing". The tiger looked at the husky from the corner of his eye, "And mind I ask, why you ask sir?"
"Some guy confessed his love to me" The husky said casually as if it's nothing big.
"What!?" The tiger shouted, making the husky's ear twitch.
"I said so-"
"I understand that sir, but what did you do?"
"I accepted the proposal"
"You have to be joking..."
"Why would I? If someone is willing to confess to me in my face, I don't see why not giving it a try"
"But sir you never really formed that kind of relationship with someone!"
"Best time is the present"
The two stood there in silence, watching one another. Jinn cleared his throat, "Well I don't really mind if it makes you happy sir, but I will see for myself whether he is worthy or not". Fyren felt a little grin tug at the edge of his mouth, "Well I think that will be amusing..."
With a flick of his tail the tiger turned towards one of the doors which contain the briefing room. "It is the wolf I saw when I picked you up isn't it?"
Fyren grinned wide as he watches the tiger "Mhm".
"I am on it then..." Walking into the room filled with computer screens, and various other technologies the tiger started to get to work. Fyren felt his tail wag behind him as he watched the tiger go, "This can be interesting".
As he walked into his room Fyren frowned as he saw his old Guild badge on top of the table next to the bed. Walking over he gently picks the glossy rectangular badge off the table, with a word the badge slowly melted in his paw, as if turned into water. "I will have to take care of the guild soon..."
As Monday began the school quickly filled with students, Chase walked to school with eyes carefully scanning the area in front of him, checking behind him occasionally. Ever since this morning when he woke up, he felt someone stare at him, as a matter of fact, a few weird things happened around him too. This nagging feeling as if he is followed and watched, but whenever he check there is no one there, it's as if he been haunted by a ghost. "Heck, if cum sucking vampires exist, then why not ghosts?". The wolf's ears immediately perked as he notices the small fluff of fur near the front door of the school. Running towards the husky, he almost patted him on the back, before pulling his paw back, remembering the last time he sneaked up on the husky. With some distance between the two the wolf gave a shout to the husky, "Hey! Wait up!".
Fyren turned to the voice that was calling him, he immediately smiled at the wolf, and quickly gave a laugh after that when he noticed the shadow of a cat near a tree watching the wolf intently. "Hehe, hey Chase". With a confused look he checked around himself before asking, "What's so funny?".
"Oh nothing just thinking you might meet Jinn a lot more sooner than I thought."
"Huh why you say that?"
"Oh nothing"
The two walked around the school as there is still thirty minutes before class, Chase started to speak first as they stopped and sat under a tree in the court yard. "What do you think of ghosts?"
With an ear perked the husky looked up at the wolf sitting next to him. "They are harmless, why?"
"Well ever since this morning I feel like I been watched..." , Fyren grinned, 'so that's where Jinn was... no wonder I didn't see him at the house'
With an inward chuckle the husky quickly regained his composer before the wolf could notice. "Ah, well that's strange..."
"Isn't it? And while I was showering in my bathroom I swore someone been in my room while I was in the bathroom! I mean I swore I placed my school ID on my table, next to the bed, but when I got out of the shower it was on the ground!"
"Well that's strange..."
"Isn't it and-" before the wolf can finish the bell rang signaling the start of class, "Ah well I guess I will see you later"
The husky chuckled as he looked around to check if anyone is near before giving the wolf a lick on the nose, "Haha don't let the ghost bother you too much"
"Well thanks, I will see you later I guess"
"Later!" As the wolf finally walked away, the husky busted out laughing, drawing the attention of a few eyes. "Good old Jinn..."
Walking into first period math, Fyren sat back at the seat he sat yesterday, one next to the tiger. "Hey" Fyren said with a smile.
The tiger looked at the husky for a second and greeted the husky with a "hi". With nothing else to say both the husky and the tiger just worked silently as the teacher lectured the class. 'He was so talkative last time... wondered what happened'. Mr. Kindles class wasn't boring, and it wasn't fun either, but since Fyren likes the teacher somewhat he pretended to be really into the lesson. Having already learned these things before everything was just busy work to him. Fyren sighs as his pencil starts to move across the worksheet in front of him.
Lunch came quickly as the hours flew by the husky. Once again the husky walked out of the line with a tray of food in his paws. The smell wasn't as pleasant as the dishes Jinn makes but its food nonetheless. Scanning across the cafeteria for a place to sit he spotted Chase sitting at the table with a bunch of rather neat kids. Chase noticing Fyren, waved. Fyren gave a little smile and waved back, seeing that the table is full he gave up on the idea of sitting with his new secret boyfriend. 'It would be weird too if a stranger just sat in a table for people who know each other...'
With that in mind Fyren moved along down the rows of tables all filled with people. Finally giving up after finding himself facing the wall of the other side of the cafeteria, he just sat in an empty table in the corner. Lunch passed quickly as Fyren finished his lunch, as the ear shattering bell rang Fyren walked off to throw his food away. As he walked to his next class he spotted Chase standing in front of some lockers talking with that perky vixen from the party. Immediately the husky felt a pang of jealousy, as he start to walk pass the two pretending not to notice them Chase grabbed at the husky's shoulder. "Hey Fie, hows it going?"
Fyren blushed lightly as he turned to face the wolf, "I'm fine...". The vixen, Sid, just raised an eyebrow, turning back to the wolf Sid smiled in her usual perky manner "Well I see you later Chase, late for geometry". Chase smiled and waved after her "Later".
Fyren wagged his tail now that the vixen left. "I don't think she likes me that much"
"Oh I'm sure she is just shy around strangers"
"Doubt it, I think she might have interest in you"
Chase chuckled and gave the husky's side a light poke "Everyone has interest in the one and only"
Fyren chuckles and quickly turned towards his destination, brushing his wrist against the wolf's groin discreetly, "Oh I'm sure everyone does..."
Chase lets out a slight murr as the he felt something brush against his crotch, he wagged his tail as he watched the husky walk to class. During this whole time a shadow of a feline has been watching closely from a nearby janitor's closet. Fyren chuckled softly to himself as he noticed Jinn in the closet a while ago. "Good luck Chase... Dealing with Jinn and all...".
