My note: Hey, It's a little late but it got here in the end. Been rather hard to find a pc that I can use to post anything with (my pda wont set keywords so the moderators say no). Anyways, enjoy!
Dran and Mist - Chapter Six
Ren: This is my last chance...
Dran sighed, raising his scanner, surveying the radar-like screen for a few moments before snapping it shut and returning it to his pocket. The unceasing wind whirled about his body, each gust threatening to sweep him from his perch and into the oblivion below. Set against the purple sky, a few streaks of lightning breaking the horizon, the skyscraper was framed as a silloette, dark against the backdrop and dwarfing the nearby buildings. A few lights flickered on the floors below, the occupants of the complex unaware of the visitors on the rooftop, set only about whatever work they were engaged in. He span a one-eighty, staring out to the sea, its noise mingling with that of the breeze and the sleepless streets beneath him; over its surface he could see a ship nearing, its lights dimming as a light fog crept across the shoreline. Letting a second sigh escape him, he glanced down the ledge, the renamon staring up at him, nervously drawing the blade swinging at his hip, pulling the rapier type weapon from its binding and holding it like an alien object. "Why did you bring me here?"
The human had drawn his scanner once more, smiling as the green lighting began to focus, providing a ghostly effect as it shone onto his face. Three dots, each crimson, were moving down the screen, passing milimeter by milimeter to the small cross that marked their position, "Some sypher based abilities awaken naturally..." He dropped it back into the breast pocket of his tuxedo, adjusting the small flap, "Yet others require a latency to be broken - the presence of a pure sypher or bonding with Bio-Angel DNA for example." He smiled as the renamon shot him a confused glance, deepened by the information that he had just emparted. He flicked his head upwards, motioning a direction towards which they both now stared, "They come."
Three of them, falling from the sky as if they were some shreds of black torn from the night itself. Wings curled to their bodies, now spreading as they steadied their flight, weapons identical to those borne by the first group encountered by Dran clutched in their hands, the greatswords held parallel to the ground as they fanned out, maintaining a beeline course for the two. Haze took a step back, his resolve wavering for a few moments before he made a solid jump to the mans side, understanding the purpose of their forced predicament. *He wants me to fight using a high sypher... Joyeuse was its name? God - Here they come!* The renamon dove the opposite way from Dran, catching a brief glimpse of him engaging one of the Bio-Angels, some sort of flames tracing a delicate course about one of his arms yet failing to touch his body, wreathing him what was almost a gauntlet, before he was forced to deal with his own opponent. The slash was so sudden that it almost caught him offguard from the start, *Of course... These are at full power - Nothing like the dregs back at headquarters.* the blade whistling inches from his chest as the creature let loose its signature roar, the one flying overhead and the other mirroring it. He swang his own weapon downwards, almost clumsily striking the blade of the attacker; where they met there was a small flash, his enemy sliding backwards along the gravel as if he had struck with many times the force. Again those murmers invaded his mind, a fickle thrumming which seemed to come from the weapon itself, almost legible in parts, yet he ignored them, his confidence bolstered he flourished his weapon, driving as his enemy with a thrust, the attack breaking through the guard of the raised blade, cutting through the weapon itself and sliding into the B.A. The creature gave a grunt of surprise yet even this was cut short as its body seemed to tear itself apart from the point of the blades impact, showering Haze with blood as the next creature dove down low to make a pass, "Woah-" Yet Dran was already upon it, having dispatched his own opponent some moments ago, a small thrumming noise giving enough cause for the renamon to spare a glance for the sky as another portal opened, four winged shadows escaping before it closed. "Oh... Bugger."
Haze fell to a knee, completely exhausted as the last portal closed. Even Dran looked slightly worse for wear, breathing haggard as he mopped the sweat from his brow, catching the eye of the renamon, "God damn Dran... You could have just explained how to use Joyeuse rather than subjecting me to-" He grabbed the humans sleeve, looking at his watch for a moment to see it as two in the morning, "Four hours of fighting for my life!"
"There's nothing quite like hands on experience."

The room was small, cramped; a true far cry from the luxury of the japanese hotel that had endured their previous beating (It truly was dificult for Dran to explain the bullet holes, bloody carpet and cracks to a manager convinced that some shady drug deal was going down). Following the flights, this bed and breakfast had proved the only place available on the waterfront with vacancies, then again, it would only be for a night, the ship due to leave the next day. Mist fell back against the sofa, the brown two seater sagging under her weight. She blew some air between her teeth, trying to angle the flow upwards as her face felt strangely hot. Of course, her tamer had already introduced her to the joys of a beer, however the mixtures of juices and spirits that the gatomon was insisting that she try were somewhat different. She grinned dopilly, "I wonder what everyone else is doing...?"
Trine chuckled, finding some amusement in the renamons state after only a few cocktails *Then again, she's never drank before... Hey what if I...* An idea was beginning to form, "Xak's still gone. So much for an errand, I guarantee that he's in a bar with a row of shots lined up infront of him... Haze and your 'tamer'-" She used the word almost as a sexual pun, "shouldn't be back for several hours yet, maybe even all night, especially if they're doing what I think they are... Which just leaves us two." Mist nodded along to each statement, oddly attentive to the details considering the circumstances. Trine just smiled: Working out the kinks in her train of thought.
It had been perhaps a few hours, the subject constantly wavering in a sense that had become almost typical for drunkern banter, eventually settling on that which suited the cat, "Ah, come on. What's so special about Dran anyway? Just compare him to all of the renamon over the past and..." She glanced across, reading something from her almost vacant stare, "Oh my god, there havn't been any others have there?" Mist just shook her head, now robbed of the majority of her usual state of composure she simply blushed, "It's strange for a digimon to be so attatched to their mate - especially for a renamon - guess that explains a little though... Anyway, answer the question, what's so good?"
She lowered her head into her hands, hiding her face and speaking in a mumble that bordered on the inaudiable, staring at some forlorn stain on the old mouve carpet, "I like it when he's forceful with me... Makes me his... What's so funny?"
Trine's laughter ceased, the gatomon catching and holding the gaze of the larger digimon, "You're so *innocent* that its almost painful..." she grinned inwardly, sensing an opportunity while her target was off balance, "You ever thought about other girls in that way before?" She received a more pensive look and a deeper blush in return, clearly having inspired some thought. Finding a moment, she took an initiative; having slowly worked her way closer across the couch during the course of the night, she simply flicked her leg over the renamons knees, sitting on her lap facing her as she pulled at the neck, guiding Mist into a kiss. Her probing tongue finally drew forth a reaction, almost instinctively the notion was returned, hands tracing a light caress about the front of her body drawing a small gasp, the cat claws still cold from the chilled glass.
They broke apart for a moment, "Wow..." Mist slid down into the soft cushions below her, feeling the tension leave her body as those light touches drove the last few fleeting thoughts of doubt from her mind. The gatomon had fallen back with her, drawing her into yet another kiss as her hands roamed her body, the touches light and inquisitive, completely different to the heavier treatment that she inspired in her mate; this new sensation was more sensual, heightening some odd anticipation that left her yearning for more. "Ah!" Trine had fished an ice cube from one of the nearby glasses, allowing some of the liquid to add to the stains on the carpet before placing it upon the renamons stomach, letting it slide along the sliky smooth fur, drifting downwards for a single tantalising moment before returning to its upwards course. Broken from their kiss, Mist inhaled sharply, the frozen block brushing against her left breast, the cat brushing the fur aside before placing it about the nipple, leaving it for a few seconds before replacing it with her mouth, the contrast of hot and cold in more sensitive areas making the renamon quiver, legs squeezing about the gatomon as she attempted to find a rhythem against her thigh that would allow a quick orgasm.
Trine brushed her aside, ignoring the pleading look in her eyes as she continiued to work, "Anticipation..." Her teeth brushed against the skin before the ice was once again replaced, this time on the other breast, "Is half the pleasure." Slowly she allowed herself to drift down the body, trailing the spent cube as it dwindled into nothing, only the light dampness of the white fur of Mist's chest marking its course and fate. She paused when her head passed her lower abdomen, kneeling on the other end of the couch to allow herself the best access; drawing aside the fur, matted with need, she slowly slid her tongue over the edge of the slit, the reaction almost electric as she bucked instinctively. The cat just grinned, tracing a claw in a circular motion about her target as small gasps of impatience escaped the other. Finally, taking pity, she licked a finger, making a short show of it before delving within, twisting her wrist as she began a slow motion, working against Mist's bucking action as she attempted to prolong the 'torture' for as long as possible. The noise was beginning to increase in frequency, a soft squeezing action signalling the coming of an orgasm that Trine denied, sliding the claw out, allowing her a few moments of displeasure before returning with her tongue, instead edging a now well lubed claw into her tail hole. The renamons body stiffened for a moment, resisting the probing claw before finally seeming to simply give up and accept it, the very idea of such a thing now crossing over from the unheard of to the erotic.
"Tha-That's new-!" Her own exclaimation was cut short as fangs slid across her clit, failing to bite down but coupled with the abrasive action of the tongue, she couldn't help herself, allowing orgasm to wash over her as she collapsed into a spent quivering lump. Trine was just smiling, lapping up all that she could, the rough action drawing a second smaller climax only a few moments later. She crawled up the larger body, grabbing a paw and guiding it to the center of her own need; one of the thick fingers beginning a motion instantly, leaving her to rock against it, surprised by her own lusts. The renamon seemed determined to return the favour, a cold nose pressing against her as she seemed to recover from her own release, the tongue brushing its own delicate motion yet forceful and awkward enough to betray her first time with another female. This suited her fine though, the less than constant and fluctuating motion was having more than the desired effect, gasps becoming moans as she neared the climax that she desired, finally reaching and riding it as Mist cleaned her crotch, muzzle fur teasing against the short cat hairs, a new contrast for her. Finally guided down, she nuzzled the renamons chest, curling up. Only a few minutes later they were asleep, lying in a position that left very little to the imagination.
The door slowly edged open, Dran and Haze allowing their conversation to fall into silence as they noted the sleeping pair; the male renamon turning away for a moment to place Joyeuse beside one of the few beds crammed at the side of the room. The human however looked more pensive, taking a long deep breath as if sensing something on the air itself, "Hey, you don't think...?"
Haze fell back onto the linin, sighing as he could finally rest after the more than intense training session, "Doubtful." At least he lied well. Dran simply grabbed one of the spirit bottles lying nearby, reading about the label of the whiskey before raising it and downing the remainder.

Xak rose a finger, bringing it down to tap the bars surface before cupping his hand, his next drink sliding across the polished oak surface and into his grasp. He sighed, some dejected tone stereotypical of the man who drinks alone, now bringing the glass to his lips and tipping back the firey substance, staring upwards into the racks of glasses overhead. Surrounded by the usual hubub of a pub he felt back at home, having missed such qualities during his last stint in the digital world it had been almost refreshing to return to two or so months of blasting around with the company again, next to a steady source of booze of course. He handed over his company card, *I seriously doubt that these were intended for the use I put them through... I probably test the infinate credit margin in booze alone.* An arm nudged against his, grey sleeve visable, the stool beside him filled, yet he failed to turn and look; knocked out of what was rapidly degenerating into a stupor by an all too familiar voice, "Now there's a sight for sore eyes. I knew I'd find you here."
Xak glanced to his side, rapidly giving the man a once over. Clad in the company jumpsuit, he was met by the same almost overenthousiastic smile of an old friend, sweeping a blond locke out of his hair while seeming to look beyond him to a table crouded by a hen night. "Lance..." He fell forwards onto the bar, kneading his forehead with his palms.
"Hey, show some love." He placed an arm about him, giving a quick squeeze, "Damn, I've not seen you since your wedding last year, how's married life treating you?" He received a groan in reply, yet little could break his stream of reminiscence, "That good huh? Ah well, I just got transferred back home to America, heck we just need Alder and we have the old team back together-" He broke off for a moment to shout after a passing female, "-Yeah, that's it baby, work those hips!-" Her returning slap wheeling him back around to face him, "Anyway is Ren here with y-"
Xak finally interjected, "Are you going to continiue rambling or tell me why you're here?"
"Business as usual I see..." He reached to his side, withdrawing a folder from a small briefcase and placing it upon the surface. Fortunately there were few patrons up at the bar tonight and viewing was easy, "They finally finished compiling the data from SkyLab, may have taken nearly two years but still, at least they did it in the end. I'm to give you this and accompany your team on your voyage over the atlantic."
Xak stared at the document for a few moments before placing it back down and returning to his drink, "I'll look at it later." His mind stirred, images fresh and crisp springing forth as his thoughts were cast back into the day of the assault.
"Are you feeling allright Jason? You were never usually this quiet..."
He sighed, already lost in the memory, "I'll live." He made sure that the rest of his statement was inaudiable, "For her."

Jason times his dive perfectly, the hold of the aircraft opening before him, the sheets of black metal suspended on scarilly thin hinges allowing passage from the stealth jet. Through the opening, his dark hang glider overheard, pulled into a spiral as he shifted his weight to gain as much downwards speed as possible. The sky above was some shade of navy, the vehicle vanishing into it as more winged shadows fell, spreading out about him, the man taking point just to his left. The clouds masked the land below, giving way as freezing precipitation as what was beneath was revealed. A dense jungle, almost distant given their altitude, narrow rivers gorging their channels through this patch of the digital world giving the area the look of almost a patchwork quilt, each section unique in its own right. He looked up, tearing his eyes from the moonlit scene downwards and instead staring at his target. It hovered just below the cloudline, a great monilith framed against the horizon, the arial base dark and silent. He tapped his fingers across the steering bar nervously, the Bio-Angel infected one still sore after the operation, *I've seen the surveillance footage but this thing is huge!* It bore a strange warped shape, almost like a group of buildings melded together and somehow given the ability to float in the heavens. No lights shone from the structure, no sound either, it seemed a dead thing, a floating isle grim and lifeless yet bearing the sinister mark of Cross at the highest building. Turrets jutted from it, cannons facing outwards, some sparce armour becoming more prominent as the group neared it, a series of pipes opening besides a small ledge their destination.
He unclipped his glider, now using the buckle to attatch it to a ring anchored near a vent, his transport blowing erilly besides another one, his team having already touched down. Lance however, simply dropped from his own, letting it continiue to drift onwards as he landed besides them. Then again, given his own objective, he wouldn't be needing this transport out. Each of the three pulled up their hoods, the two males and one female silently masking themselves, bodies now completely clad in black, this nightfight varient of the LastBreath jumpsuit finding some use. Without a word, the grille was removed, tossed aside into space, falling with a faint whistling noise as each of them dissapeared into the darkness beyond, Jason taking point with Lance behind him, the female, some transfer from the police force, Alder was her name, *at least we shared some banter on the way here...* taking the end of the sequence. Light was visable ahead, shining up through yet another Grille before which he now paused, looking downwards to confirm that there was nobody below. Moments later, they had all dropped into the room staring around at the bars of cages, the majority of their occupants unconscious, some dead, yet a few were looking towards them with fear, even hope.
Lance took charge, withdrawing a small ring from the pouch about his waist, placing it on the ground as he traced his fingers about the runes, "Stay very quiet, we're here to get you out... All of you that are able, try and help the others."
Alder and Jason had split, each taking one side of the room, tapping a code into each keypad that they passed, bars sliding aside as an assortment of digimon staggered forth, dragging the unconscious, leaving the dead, moving with an efficiency beyond humans in such a state of danger, *What am I thinking? They are not human. Just some animals.* The tool that Lance was focused on had grown larger, the hoop expanding slowly to a size of an average basketball hoop, now quivering for a few moments before opening in a single forced movement to a diameter large enough to be comfortably walked through, only black light flickering beyond. They gazed at it fearfully, its markings shining gold against obsidian, sweat beading on the forehead of the one who was keeping it open, "Come on! Go through!" an agumon had approached it raising a claw to touch the surface before Jason simply shoved him through, the black light swallowing him. Each passed in turn, Alder counting under her breath, now continiuing along the bodies before returning to them, the hoop having begun to decrease in size.
"We're missing one."
"What?"
"A renamon. Female. Must be in the lab." Alder sighed, "You've done your job, get back through the portal before it closes as you were supposed to. We will have to leave it behind."
Lance nodded, perhaps some brief moment of empathy for the fate of what he was leaving behind crossing his eyes before he dissapeared into the rift, the ring fading with him. Jason turned, "I'm going to get the last digimon."
Alder stared at him for a few moments, "I thought you hated them?"
"I do." His voice dripped with venom.
"Then-"
"If I were captured and being experimented on then I'd want someone to do it for me."
She shook her head, grabbing one of the ropes with which they had descended from the vent with and hoisting herself up, "You outrank me so its your call. But you've only got -" She glanced at her wrist, "Seven minutes before the Valient blows this place to hell... Try not to die, I don't like paperwork."
"We've finally done it... Blackside... Such regeneration... Virtual rebirth... Cross... Arc... Perfect!" two men, their labcoats billowing behind them passed over the pathway, the floor lighting illuminating the chamber. The central platform was suspended in the air, supported by a single pathway, below a sheer drop into the places power source, dark walls sealing it as a solid sphere. Jason swung up from below the pathway as they exited the laboratory, having been beneath them, still and silent as he edged towards his target. Now simply walking, he removed his hood, three capsules before him, the interiors bathed in blue light, two of them empty, yet within the other something stirred. A renamon, as expected. Slightly shorter than himself, bearing the features the same as the rest of its race, black gauntlets covering her arms, their differing colour the only unique feature as it stood in the capsule, seeming to be only asleep. He sighed, fumbling with the smooth side of the container for a few moments, "I must be insane, risking my ass for some damn digital fox..." He took a step back, rolling his shoulder a few times before slamming his elbow into the glass, "God - fucking - damn - it" he drove his arm into it with each word, cracks spreading along its surface, some water beginning to trickle through, "Come on!" He shoulder barged it, the glass shattering, the liquid drenching him as the creature fell forwards, pinning him.
"Oh, this is just what I need..." He rose his fist, opening it to reveal a black digivice and resisting the urge to throw it and her over the edge. Slowly he got to his feet, shifting the deadweight over his shoulder. And moving towards the doors, staggering to the side as an explosion shook the complex. His seven minutes were up.
He dropped low, demonstrating strength that he didn't know he had, throwing himself into the mouth of an air duct and taking her with him as one of the walls collapsed under the constant bombardment. Beyond the smoke and flames of the gap he could see it, swinging against the side of the building, his course having brought him so tantalisingly close, his glider blowing in the wind. Blowing away. Its bond to the wall broken, the piece of vent dragging it downwards. "Ok. Now I'm fucking fucked..."
"Huh...? Ah!" His hand had brushed against the still body, infected finger touching fur, some reaction coursing through his body, the Bio-Angel aspect of himself burning with energy through this contact alone. There was another explosion, the ground giving way; he grabbed the renamon instinctively, squeezing as pain wracked his body. He saw only fragments after that. A huge flying carrier, guns blazing, 'Valiant' scrawled across its side. A seven winged shadow framed by the rising sun. The ground coming closer as pieces of the SkyLab overtook him, the great symbol for Cross already visable, broken on the ground below. Perhaps it was just a dream, yet he felt like he was flying, Wings spread at his back. Black. The wings of a Bio-Angel.

I couldnt quite help another flashback to the beginning... Maybe I should have done an extra series on it afterall. Already started work on the next section, if I'm lucky (Which I definatly am not) then it wont be long. Please rate and review!
