Kiff was still mortified. He stared at the boilers as a strange black liquid like substance entered it. It appeared to be Reemon. Kiff pointed up his knife and gun together. This substance that was Reemon said, "This is a reunion if I've ever saw one."

Kiff said, "This is impossible you're just a dead shell."

Reemon said, "Relax, I'm on your side. I mean I'm upset that you killed my daughter."

Kiff yelled, "That isn't you daughter. That's Veemon's daughter."

Reemon said, "Me and him are practically one in the same. Of course you and I have had our moments together too."

Kiff said, "No you and him are two different creatures..."

Reemon said, "Well I suppose I'm free of being a look a like. Though I kind of miss sharing his thoughts, but you and I can have that connection again. You need a strong willed creature like me. I mean how else are you ever going to get over what you did."

Kiff yelled, "I don't need you anywhere near here you fake."

Reemon said, "If I'm fake then how can I do this."

He touched the baby and Kiff pointed up the gun and saw nothing there. Kiff took several deep breathes.

Veemon led Angel back to the cell block with the others. They all got ready as they heard them coming. As Veemon came in he said, "Were not infected."

Gatomon asked, "What is she doing here? And where is Patamon."

Veemon said, "She is with us now. Patamon left with some woman who was here. That means he chose to leave us. We can't worry about him anymore. He's on his own. Our task is to secure the rest of the prison."

Gatomon said, "You can't just leave him out there..."

Veemon said, "If you want to go out a fetch him then go alone and take the risk. I won't bother to stop you. But if either of you come back I will most likely have to kill you."

Gatomon asked, "Are you serious?"

Veemon informed the whole group, "If that is what it takes to survive, than yeah, I'm dead serious; to me Patamon is already considered dead. We lost too many to risk going out now without firmly securing the whole prison. This is our place now we split the blood and we took it. But our job isn't done yet. There is a lot more we need to do."

Gatomon asked, "What about Kiff and Yill they never came back."

Veemon said, "They are on their own. If they come back bit in a non curable way or are already turned than we kill them it's that simple now."

Gatomon asked, "Can I speak to you outside...and alone."

Gatomon went out to the court where Veemon followed her and then she turned and asked, "What has gotten into you."

Veemon said, "Dorumon was right about me. I wasn't ready for this world but now I am."

Gatomon said, "So you won't even cling on to our friendship anymore."

Veemon looked down, "What we had died years ago. There was never any repairing what Reemon did...what I did. I moved on and so did you. Patamon is helping an enemy as far as I'm concerned."

Gatomon asked, "This is about Angel isn't it?"

Veemon said, "She's a lot like you. And yet I find myself trusting her and you believe that is wrong. Because I chose her over you twice was surely wrong. You have Patamon so there is no need for me to even bother saying were friends. In this world were just two survivors."

Kiff finally came out as the others joined to get Veemon and Gatomon back in. Kiff came out as they all looked at him alone. Kiff carried the baby over. Veemon was suddenly brought to a since a realism and everything hit him at once. He fell to his knees and muttered, "I'm sorry. I was so wrong. Where is Yill...?"

Kiff just looked down and Veemon fell all the way down crying and screaming hysterically. There was a short brief pause of no emotion then he just rose up and grabbed an axe. He charged back into the corridors fixated on spilling more blood and vengeance.

It was only that time when Dracmon decided to awake after a much longer rest. He was still rock hard and he had a very grinning look to his look.
