Chapter 1: Newlywed's

Long after the time of humans, there were two species of life forms. Each life form had its own planet that orbited around each other, held together by each others gravity.

On one planet called Cyrax lived a group of dragons that were mechanical in nature, but mixed with organic tissue. On this planet all was in order, the king and queen ruling the planet with a steel fist, literally. The civilization was very advanced, but still young as they still wanted to claim the stars for themselves, a fatal flaw that all species must overcome at some point. The king of the planet had his mind set on taking over the planet orbiting theirs, known as Cryoteen, home to the Yarotans.

This species was bluish creatures with differences between gender other than the obvious lack of certain items. The males didn't evolve as much as the females, in fact they were only a step up from total animals, but just nearly. The females ruled the planet, using the males just to mate and for protection. The males were darker than the females were and the darker they were the more desirable they were by their female counterparts. The planet was ruled by a queen who had a mate, but since females ruled it was just for reproduction and protection. She knew the other planets race, the Gargains, wanted her planet and would surely take it if she didn't want to give it over willingly, so she hatched a plan.

She met with the king and queen of Cyrax and proposed a deal of sorts. Their son and her daughter would marry so that the species wouldn't fight, be free to roam the others planet, and they would get to stay the rulers of their respective planets. The Gargains accepted this bond and made the preparations that the Gargain ritual entailed, which was we know as face painting pretty much, as the yarotans didn't have a marriage ritual. Their son would marry the princess as his parents wanted, but as he never heard anything but mockery from the species his attitude towards her wasn't exactly friendly.

The kings son, Dredge, was what every female desired of his species. He was always shiny from all the baths he took, regardless if he needed them or not, his teeth were always razor sharp, and on top of all that he was wealthy. His father, Quasar, was the king of the planet, which was good considering how old he was. Being around since the young days of the planet, he was the last elder in all the land. His beautiful mate, Drenique, was the essence of his life. Being young enough to not be considered an elder, but just nearly, she helped him rule with her sense of judgement.

The yarotans princess despised being used as a treaty, but she understood her mothers choices weren't exactly always the best for her. Her name was Hashii and was renowned in her land for her immense courage, beauty, and heart. During a famine, she sacrificed eating for herself and on numerous occasions was seen feeding the townspeople of the capital city. Her mother, Yugimora, was a fair queen, taxes were acceptable and she never was angry at anyone really. Her mate, Atreyu, was ferocious to a fault. He was always kept on a leash as any male that entered the castle was always almost mauled to death if he wasn't. He had fought at least a dozen Gargains and won, but against an entire army he'd be slaughtered. He was always next to the queen for her protection and comfort.

Finally the wedding day came and as the black hole paint hit their cheeks they were wed. When the recession was over, the Gargains took the princess to their castle and left the two newlyweds alone to do whatever they wanted, making sure they would have privacy by emptying the castle of guards, well except for the ones in the secret barracks as a undefended royal family would've been suicide.
