This is a story I made rather quickly. I did not edit it nor did I revise it. I did my spelling on the go. Please tell me if there are any errors. I will try to edit it later on.

Edit: I have edited the story and I changed it a little so that it makes sense later on... What will come up next? The world may [almost] never guess...

Author: From time to time I am known to write things within Braces [] Brackets {} and Parenthesis (). If it is within Parenthesis and a character is talking then it is either a thought or something the character said to himself in a very low voice. If it is within Braces then it means that it is something implied (not necessarily something that one whould pick up quickly or a thought direction mechanism) or that the Author (moi) or other character is saying something that does not necessarily have anything to do with the story. If it is within Brackets then it is something presenting a different picture within the big picture (the big picture being the story). Also, the quoting system is as follows:

" <-- The character is talking (whenever I use them).

'' <-- The character is thinking (whenever I use them).

I sometimes use hyphens (-) (used as taught in good ol' English class).

This story might contain scenes that are not suitable for ages under 13. In the case that it is within the 18+ range it will be classified as with Adult content (not so with this story). One way or another please refrain from reading things you shouldn't be reading if you shouldn't be reading them. Thank you. Enjoy.

And so, there I was... pinned against a wall with death coming through my door. What else could I do? It was either do or die, I'd rather do. In this world only the strongest ones survive. Survival of the fittest they say; but the question is: what is it that one needs to be strong about and why is it that some of the strong succumb to the weak? I am a human male, nothing out of the ordinary. No fur, no tail, no strength. I'll actually admit to being a nerd (but not a geek)! I live with my parents and I work as a computer technician after school, I read stories when I'm free, followed by the ussual TV show Darwin's Theory. I can see my life going before my eyes because I am about to die, but I will not bore you, one person dying is enough, thank you very much!

The real question is: why is a lioness pinning me against a wall? That I know of I haven't done anything to her. I don't even know her! Shoot! I don't wanna die!

What do I do? *Smooch* I kiss her...

I read a paper by Dr. Murphy about how things that can go wrong have more chances of going right the closer you are to danger...

[Author: Yeah right... Murphy's law: "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong." But what The Nerd is saying actually makes sense if you come to think of it.]

So, what more dangerous than giving a kiss to a lioness (or to any great cat as a matter of fact)?

Lioness: Why do you kiss me? Can't you see I want to...

I grab her close and embrace her, grabbing her head closer to my mouth and plant another one on her. This is not one of those cheek kisses you give your like-like friends, no... I was giving her an all-out passion-filled pheromone-stimulating comma-state-inducing whalloping whoppa'! You know what the worst part was? The most embarrassing a-a-and worst thing ever was? I was starting to like it. I bet she was also because she started to swirl her tongue and wrap it around mine. I also noticed her hands completely embracing me and sqeezing my every bone. I didn't care that it hurt, I just know that I liked it.

I was feeling hot and shakey all over. I had never even gotten to kiss anyone to this magnitude... You know us nerds: we always get to kiss a girl once or twice in our early years, but it is sort-of like a pity kiss. Some of my friends actually got a girlfriend that liked them but in most of my other friend's cases (as was mine) we only had love-relationships based on pity. Note to self: If I survive this situation I definitely need to get a girl that kisses like this one.

I separate myself from her, though wanting more. I figured that if I wanted to make a run for it I would need to do so now while she is still vulnerable. But... a part of me... doesn't want to let go... a part of me... wants to stay... even if I get devoured. What should I do? Should I follow my heart or should I follow my head? So far I have survived by following my head, but... I can't really move... I just can't let her go... I want to stay and get devoured by her; not in the way she wants to devour me... a... different kind of... devouring... *plop* Disconnected. Just like a person is disconnected from a machine keeping him/her alive... I die back into reality. Wait a minute... She can outrun me anytime (the reason why I am pinned to a wall). If I try to run she'll just catch up. If I use my cunning I might live to see another day. Besides... I think I have developed feelings for her... She OHKO'd me [Author: One-Hit KO (KO means Knock-Out)]. I fell in love the first time I saw her. Well actually, I fell in love with her the first time I kissed her...? Back to more pressing matters... Oh! Speaking of pressing...

Alan (The Nerd): Ouch (you are squeezing me harder than before)! Why are you trying to kill me (quite literally)?

Nahanahir (The Lioness): I don't care! I want you all dead!

Alan: But hey, hey! What is going on with you? Why do you want to... who do you want to kill?

Nahanahir: All humans must die! You burned the reserve and now I have no home. You killed my grandparents!

Alan: *urk* That's sad, but didn't you know that if you just go on a killing streak you'd be doing the same thing as your enemy? Violence begets violence, you won't solve anything by killing anyone.

Nahanahir: You just want to save yourself.

Alan: I don't care if I die. I have lived my life to the fullest. I want you to enjoy what little life you have left. You kill me and you'll have many of the humans against you and... although I barely know you... I don't want you to die.

When I saw the sadness that was in her eyes it was almost as though I could see right through to her soul. She was in pain and she was in it bad! I don't know what had happened, but I do know that it was enough to destroy her composure and enough to taint every fiber in her being. It was almost as if I could feel her pain and react to it... She let go of me and turned her face from me.

Alan: Hey, I know you are hurt and I now understand the fact that everything you had... everything that you really cared for... that which you called reality... is now no more, but please listen: you are still alive. You are the hope of that which you once had. I don't know why I am saying this, but I know that if you... Look! I don't know how to say this: us humans are a stubborn race, we do stupid things. It is our fault things are the way they are, but it is also our fault why things are the way they are... For the good things we are forgotten, but for the bad things we are either revered or remembered. Nobody remembers us for anything good. One way or another we screwed up, OK! (I don't know what I'm getting myself into, nor what I'm talking about.) So... I'm sorry.

Nahanahir: *sob*... *sob* Sorry for what? You have done nothing to me... Your race has done many things to my people, but not you. Why then are you sorry? Have you partaken of the vile things your race has done to mine?

Alan: No. In fact I don't know what I am talking about. I just want to make you feel like you have someone who is willing to help you. I see that you are alone and I... I sorta felt how bad you felt. I just wanna say that I want to help you, that's all...

Silence grew throughout the room... I really don't know if I touched something but it felt like if it suddenly grew cold. But then, I felt a smooth breeze come through the hole where a window once was (we were in an abandoned building on the third floor... while she was chasing me I was stupid enough to go up an abandoned building thinking there would be an exit; I was wrong).

Nahanahir: You know what? I think you are not as bad as the rest of your race. I know because, now that I think of it, you kissed me good, though I was trying to kill you. You are also very dumb for trying to kiss me. Do you know I could have killed you?

Alan: I know. But I kinda felt like kissing you, I don't know why...

Complete bull... I read that Dr. Murphy thing.

Nahanahir: What be your name?

Alan: My name is Alan. Alan Turing.

[Author: For the scientific comunity out there, please forgive me for using one of my heroe's names as one of my characters. For the rest of you out there search for Alan Turing. He is (was, he is dead) the person responsible for you to be able to read this right now. There would be no re-programmable computer without him and various of the computer components would not have been invented without his computer model. By the way, the character portrayed in this story is a fictional character not related to the real Alan Turing in any way (other than the name).]

Nahanahir: I am Nahanahir, the huntress and former keeper of the Katalah pride. Although I was the former keeper of the pride I was not married to Angongo its chieftain.

Alan: Wow, you sound like you are important.

Nahanahir: I was important. I was the one in charge of hunting for Agongo himself, a great honor which was bestowed upon me when I was but a mere cub. All the other lionesses envied my physical attributes. I was superior to all of them. None of that matters now, for they are all dead! I was the only one who escaped. All the others were killed by the fire and smoke... You know what? I am thirsty.

I took Nahanahir to a cafe. Many people saw the chase earlier but concluded it was friendly, since we were together enjoying a glass of lemonade; shaken, not stirred, on the rocks (poured over the ice), with a piece of lemon and with those tiny umbrellas (wasteful, but elegant nonetheless). I actually ate my piece of lemon, I like the bitter taste, like I am used to everything going bitter; I usually make lemonade out of my bitter occasions.

Alan: May I ask, why were you chasing me and just me?

Nahanahir: I was in the city long before I started chasing you. I was reflecting upon what had happened in the reserve. When I could not take it any longer I threw myself to chase the first person I looked at. In this case it was you.

Alan: So you chased me because I was the first thing you happened to see, nice. What do you plan to do now?

Nahanahir: I am planning to seek the ones who destroyed the reserve. I wish to see if I can consumate my hatred upon them and take your advice and forgive them, but I need to know why they did what they did.

Alan: Well then, in that case: how about you and I team up. I can help you while I am not studying nor working. I am pretty good at searching for things in records and databases so I might actualy be of use to you.

Nahanahir: What is a... data base?

Alan [Computer crap ahead... skip if you wanna live]: A database is a form of information management system designed to maintain ease-of-use, acquisition and storage of data within a storage space. Sometimes the filesystem works as a form of database by forming indexes to the system files which the user can then make queries to and find files faster. But this is in certain filesys...

Nahanahir's Brain: *Buzz*

Nahanahir: Okay... stop! Can you please explain in a way that I can underastand?

Alan: ...Um... Erm... (*Thinking*) How about this: A database is a place in a computer where you can put stuff in and it organizes that stuff so that you can find it faster when you need it. Does that answer your question?

Nahanahir: Yes. Much better.

Alan: By the way, can I give you a nickname? A name shorter than the one you currently have?

Nahanahir: Why would you want to do so?

Alan: Well, think of it this way. If I have an emergency and I need to tell you something fast and I have to mention your whole name by the time I finish saying your name I might even forget what I was going to tell you.

Nahanahir: Well, it is not my problem that you humans have such short memories, but I will yield. I have no nickname though. You must create one for me.

Alan: I got the perfect one for you. How about lioney.

Nahanahir: You'll be taking the whole sense of identity out of my name, no.

Alan: How about fiery.

Nahanahir: As much as I like the intention, my family was killed by fire.

Alan: Oh! That's right. Sorry. (After much thought...) Well, I think I have the best one I can come up with. How about Nahi?

Nahanahir: Nahi means strong one. I like that one very much!

Alan: Nahi it is!

[Author's note: So to this story Nahanahir means Pertaining to the will of the strong one within us. It is a name meant for very few people and it is a name that is earned, not given. In prides names are earned after much effort and not given at birth. For those wondering Agongo means whimful walker while Agogo means whimful dancer/musician.]

Alan: Well Nahi, do you have a place to stay?

Nahi: No, but I am a quick thinker. If you think that I will be going to your house just so you can continue what you started earlier you are harshly mistaken.

Alan: ...What are you... Oh, THAT! Gotcha. Um, as much as I would love to continue what I started my parents are at the house. Even if I would want to they are most careful listeners. Some people go deaf when they get older, but my parents got much better hearing now than what they had ten years ago.

Nahi: Is that so?

Alan: Yup. Besides, not many humans actually "go out" with lions. In fact, not many humans go out with any other kind of Kheths. The only frequent Human-Kheth relations are with the simean races and, even so, they are quite rare.

[Author: Kheths are what we know as furries. Singular: Kheth, Plural: Khie/Kheths/Khethen]

Nahi: Well, one way or another I fear because you were quite passionate earlier on.

Alan: I know, I just wanted to get an opportunity to escape, but you kept squeezing me.

Nahi: Yeah right! Like it was MY fault. You started to hug me tighter as soon as I frenched you.

Alan: What is a french?

Nahi: ... ... ... You are hopeless

Alan: I am serious! What is a french?

Nahi: Look it up in a dictionary.

After we drank about three lemonades each (it was hot outside, she drank most of my third anyways) we journeyed home. We got there, I did about fifty stunts to hide her from my parents and kept her in my room throughout the night. What happened afterwards is a mystery (so to you anyways, because I'm not revealing anything). I would like to tell you the details, but I know I'd bore you to death. One way or another. Good night.
