Solrain yawned and stretched, sitting up and rubbing his eyes with a paw. He nudged Morvina, swishing his tail through the sand as he waited for her to wake. The black dragoness was a light sleeper, and that one little nudge was all it took to stir her from her slumber. She lifted her head off of the ground and looked around the cave, smiling when she saw the bigger drake. "What time is it?" she asked. For her, it was hard to tell. Since his cave was beneath a river, there was hardly any natural light. The pool of water in the center emitted a faint glow during the daytime hours, but that wasn't much to go by. She couldn't tell whether it was morning or afternoon.

"It's still quite early..." Solrain replied. The drake had an excellent sense of time. He walked over to the pool, took a drink, and then lay flat on his back in the sand.

Morvina raised an eyeridge. "Oh, is that so?" she asked. The dragoness rose to her feet, feeling her joints pop as she stretched. She then trotted over to the pool and slid into the water, gazing up at the male as he rested. "In that case, I suggest we make the most of the day." Solrain chuckled as he sat up. The call of Morvina's stomach did not go unnoticed. "Well then, let's get some breakfast." he said. With that, he dove into the water and exited the cave. The drake smiled again in response, rumbling happily as he licked her on the cheek. "You're very welcome." he said. With that, he extended a foreclaw and began stroking her flank.

The dragoness murred as she felt his paw touching her smooth scales. Solrain was a wonderful dragon. She had stayed in his home for three days so far - which was a long time for her. Morvina didn't usually like to stay in one spot for very long. However, she wasn't sure if she ever wanted to leave this male. He treated her with more kindness than any other dragon she had ever met.

Her stomach gurgled once again, reminding her yet again of how hungry she was. The female then turned her attention to the river and immediately began scanning the surface for fish.
