Coffee and love ch1
Luke was a nut for coffee. Anything containing the lushious, brown substance, you could hand-on-heart gaurantee that he'd heard of and already tried it by now. So naturally, whenever he needed to submit an essay for his college chemical geology course, he'd venture to his nearest cafe, a small place with modern furnishings, laptop in paw. Little did he know, today's ordinary trip would be much more eventful than his usual trips. Upon entering the store, the familiar, bitter cent assaulted his sensative nostrils. Exhaling with an audible sigh, he cocked his head to the side slightly with enthusiasm (sorta more like a swish than a... Er... Tilt, let's go with that) and strode towards the counter, almost being able to taste his vanilla latté, the mere thought of which nearly made him drop spit onto the floor. Realising there was no queue and the person on the counter unfruitfully attemting to grab his attention, he shook his head slightly, blinked a couple of times and blushed slightly due to his vacant stare. Assuming his place at the counter, he asks "one vanilla latté with an extra pump of vanilla please" whilst simultaneously reaching into his pocket to bring out the £2.75 that he instinctively knew it costed. He was a grey wolf, who ironically was a mute tone of white with piercing blue eyes. He had a regular build but was above average as far as height was converned. (Anyway, getting back on topic) Coffee in hand, Luke headed towards his favourite spot in the small building, near a large, panoramic window with a clear view of everyone walking past. He loved this spot because he could play a game that he assumed everyone played in the absence of company, a game that he called "people watching" whereby he'd pick a person at random and imagine their life (talk about standing in someone else's shoes xD). He was fairly amused by his passtime, right up until a certain kitsune cought his eye. She was relatively tall, he guessed about 5.11" She had deep blue eyes, similar to his own and beatiful golden fur that seemed to glisten in the sun. He was so entranced by her that he didn't even realise her enter the store. She gracefully floated over to the counter in a series of fluid movements that deepened the kitsune's hypnotic controll over his mind. Upon hearing the girl's silky voice he fealt a tension rising in his throat and a tightness in his chest. "Shoot" he thought as he now knew that, with her in the building, he wouldn't be able to concentrate on his paper, heck she even managed to distract him from his coffee! Which is a difficult task to say the least. While lost in his thoughts, he cought her eye, and Peaked her interest. Grasping her mocha firmly in both paws, she ventured over to Luke. When the love struck wolf finally noticed she had managed to float over to him, she opened her small, delacate lips to speak. "Is this seat taken?" Her voice was soft and gentle. Rather than embarass himself in a futile attempt to speak, Luke just
shook his head, assuming there weren't enough seats at the table she'd selected. To his bewilderment, however, the kitsune took the chair and seated herself upon it. With a smile, she opened her mouth once again "so, what you writing?" All Luke could do was look up, open his mouth and try his absolute hardest not to say somethibg too moronic...
