Familiar Part 2 - The Black Minos
With a yawn young Jake sat up from his slumber. The sweet sound of a thrush echoed through the creaking boards of the barn. Raising his hands, he pulled the bits straw from his hair. A soft snort came next to him. Looking over he could see his beastly new friend next to him. "Morning..." Jake smiled at him. He was attempting to get off on a better foot than last night. Andreas remained silent staring at the floor before his grumbling stomach broke the silence. "Hungry?" He laughed softly. Andreas huffed in embarrassment and Jake stood. Stretching his arms up Andreas could not stop his eyes. He gazed along the boys figure before staring back at his hooves.
With a bit of relief Jake exited the barn. The thick smell of grass and pollen filled his nose. The fresh country air was nice compared to that of the city. "Let's see, there must be some sort of town nearby, I can steal us some bread," He looked back at him. Jake was quite used to stealing a little food to get by. "Steal? Perfect from king to thief," Andreas growled.
"Well I'm sorry but it doesn't look like you have any pockets on ya," Jake scoffed. "Why don't you just ask and I can get you some food," Andreas scoffed back. "Fine get me some food," Jake smirked. Andreas turned and wisped away as smoke into the trees. He was trying his hardest to be nice but with Andreas, it was difficult. These two were used to being alone. They had been set in their life styles. However, now they had to adjust to each other.
From the woods, he heard a slight sound. Andreas reappeared in the shadows his scythe in his right hand. A deer's hind leg in his right hand as he drug the animal behind him. "Um...thanks," Jake gulped as Andreas stepped from the woods holding up the headless animal. "This enough?" Andreas looked down at the boy who nodded. Jake looked away as the bull did the dirty work of field dressing it. Drawing in the dirt he could hear him gnaw on a few of the bones, he was removing.
"Shall I cook it as well?" Andreas smirked a red bone hanging from his teeth. Jake sighed and his own stomach growled. A short while later the deer was cooked and Jake dug in. Enjoying the taste of real food, he savored it. He looked at Andreas as he ate next to him. Each time he opened his maw he bit into a bit of meat his fangs extended. The sight of them sinking into flesh made him gulp. Amongst the entire Familiar, he had seen Andreas was by far the most terrifying. Familiar weren't uncommon around the royal city. Only in the outskirts of the country were they rare. With the meal finished and fire extinguished, they started across the field. Jake lead the way down a path, which lead into the forest. The duo wasn't sure where they headed. Andrea's large hooves clopped loudly behind him. The sound was actually assuring knowing he was nearby. It gave an aura of safety to Jakes situation.
"So why were you being chased?" Andreas asked finally breaking the silence. Jake didn't respond immediately. However he knew he should explain somewhat. He let out a sigh and looked back. He began telling that he had been caught stealing from the royal storehouse. Of course, the king of this land was far from honorable. He was tyrannical by overtaxing his people to the point of exhaustion. In recent years, no one had ever seen the king other than his trusted Advisors. The general who had chased him was one of those advisors. "That's strange," Andreas narrowed his eyes. "What?" Jake looked back at him.
"Why would someone as high up as a general chase someone as pathetic as you?" Andreas asked. Jake turned and yelled at him about the pathetic comment. Flailing his arms, Jake tried to argue; Andreas held him back at arms length until he cooled down. "I meant simply breaking into a storehouse, is that a crime worthy of being chased and condemned to death," Andreas corrected himself. "Well...I don't know," Jake turned and continued to walk ahead of him.
"Was their anything odd about this storehouse?" Andreas asked. "Well...not really...now that you mention it, it was the royal food storage, there's only one storehouse that holds the kings food, but that storehouse was full of meat, no vegetables or sacks of flour, just meat," Jake answered his question. Through the trees, a small town came into view. A few small stone building tucked between two small hills. After a long day of walking the idea of being able to sit down in a nice thought.
Exiting the forest, they crossed the planes of flowing golden wheat. The town was very quiet compared to the city. People waved at them from the fields a few Familiar helping with the large heavy farm tools. Stepped closer to the city Jake stopped suddenly. In the path before them, a young boy stood with a very large Familiar. The boy was slender with pale red hair and thin-rimmed glasses. His cloths much nicer than the farmers. His Familiar was a much bigger. A massive brown boar with thick arms and a huge belly that over hung his kilt. His two short tusks stuck up from under his lower lip. His short tail swaying lightly.
"What do you want here kid?" The boy pushed his glasses up. With a short gulp, Jake stepped back into Andreas. "What does it matter, the roads are still free, step aside," Andreas stood up his tail rattling. The boar yawned and looked at his young master. The red haired boy narrowed his eyes and tapped a spot on his glasses. "Get them Terra" The boy ordered his Familiar.
The boar sighed and stepped forward the ground shuttering at his step. Lifting his hoof a massive stone lifted from the ground in front of the boar. With a swift punch, the rock soared forward at the two. Andreas growled and with one swift motion pulled Jake behind him. The boulder slammed into Andreas' palm making a loud cracking sound. Andreas hissed slightly and the boulder fell to the ground. This left Andreas unmoved in his spot with little damage done to himself.
"What?" Terra looked surprised. "How did he stop that? No one can stop one of Terra's attacks, this kid must be an imperial solider to have such a strong familiar," The boy thought to himself. The boar growled and slammed his hoof down again. A pole rose from the earth and Terra gripped it tightly. Ripping it upward forced a great hammer tore up through the ground. "We don't take kindly to soldiers around here," The boy yelled. Terra stepped forward the ground cracking beneath the weight of his body and his hammer.
"Andreas you can't fight that monster," Jake gripped Andreas' arm. "Do you have no faith in me boy," Andreas smirked. Terra slammed his hammer down hard onto the ground. The earth rumbled and a massive row of spikes erupted towards the bovine. With a casual move to the left, the spike erupted up next to him. "Seems that belly of yours is slowing you down," Andreas mocked across the field. Terra laughed to himself and patted his gut. "Well I wouldn't say that," He leaned back. "What are you doing, don't talk to him," The boy behind him yelled. "Calm down Ishi, this guys got something about him I don't think he's a soldier," The boar rested his hammer across his shoulder.
"I didn't ask your opinion! Attack!" Ishi ordered. Terra let out a sigh and slammed the spiked with his hammer. The shockwave shattered the spikes sending a wave of sharp stones at the two. Andreas twisted his arm and spun his scythe. The massive blade clanged and pinged and the shards bounced off it. Jake stood amazed behind the larger beast. Terra let lose with a flurry of attacks swinging his hammer sending boulder after boulder at them. Andreas barely moved to avoid them. Andreas knew how to dodge. His movements were precise and without fault. Jake had never seen a familiar do more than run and attack another.
Terra grumbled a little frustrated and made his move. Rushing forward he raised his hammer up and Andreas smiled widely. "You shouldn't open your stance," he lowered himself. As Terra brought down his hammer, Andreas caught the massive head with his palm and shifted its weight away. The momentum of the heavy head tossed Terra off balance. His leg twisted away and Andreas slide his hands onto his massive gut. Using his tail as a counter he easily lifted up Terra over his head. "Easy big boy," He smiled and Terra shook.
Terra was nervous and terrified now. His power was gone since he had his connection with his element broken. No longer connected to the earth he could no longer command it. "What...what are you?" Ishi gasped seeing his unbeatable beast now helpless. "Put him down Andreas," Jake ordered. "Are you sure," Andreas glared at him. "Yes, you've proven you can beat him, now put him down," Jake gulped seeing Andrea's strength for the first time. "As you command," Andreas tossed Terra back down the path. Rolling along his big belly Ishi gasped and turned to run. However, he wasn't fast enough to prevent being bowled over by Terra. Andreas snickered as the two crashed into a wall. "That wasn't what I meant!" Jake sighed. Sensing the disappointment the ring clicked. Turning into smoke Andreas was sealed back inside his small Ebony prison.
Jake looked at the ring as it sealed. "Get off me! Fat ass!" Ishi yelled pinned under his Familiar. Jake stepped up to them and Ishi glared up at him. "You don't look like a soldier," Ishi growled unable to get out from under him. "Of course I'm not, why did you attack us?" Jake asked. Once Ishi managed to get out form under Terra, he explained. Soldiers had been coming to the town more and more often. They were collecting taxes sometimes only waiting a few days in between. The town was slowly losing everything and couldn't keep up with the demand.
Ishi and Terra weren't as bad as they seemed. Ishi was actually very intelligent for a boy his age. Ishi took Jake to his home and gave him a little food and drink. Its odd how fast people can come to know one another after a fight. A hiss rumbled from his ring and Jake sighed. "You should let him out, it's a punishment to lock them up," Ishi smirked.
"Really?" Jake rubbed the ring. "Yep, he's strong I'm surprised he doesn't break out of it himself," Ishi sat across from him. Running his finger across the ring, it clicked open again and Andreas appeared behind him. He growled and hissed in frustration. Jake smiled back at him making the hissing stop suddenly. Andreas turned away with slightly flushed cheeks. His tail rattled gently as Jake continued to talk. Terra smirked at him from across the room and the two familiar stepped away.
Terra and Andreas sat in the next room looking out at the sunset. "So you're an old one, care to tell me why your still around?" Terra asked sipping some homemade moonshine. Andreas looked at the boar and leaned back against a wall. "My former master never released me, so I'm bound to kid," Andreas' tail rattled gently. "I heard tell of an old black bull whose power couldn't be matched, Served a man named Argoth, they called him the Black Minos," Terra sipped.
"Never heard of him," Andreas narrowed his eyes. "He was ordered to hunt his own kind, he single handedly killed every Familiar in the old kingdom, he was the reason for the end of the last age," Terra glances up at him. Andreas remained quiet and stared at the boards of the floor. "Of course its none of my business," Terra smirked.
Andreas looked at him and Terra felt a shutter run down his spine. Terra wasn't afraid to die especially at the hands of a familiar who beat him. Andreas looked back at the boy sitting in the other room. He was laughing and enjoying his time with Ishi. His mind wandered once again staring at him. Never had a kid let alone a young boy proven to be such a worthy master. His eyes traced along his figure and found themselves resting at his hips again. Oh how he wanted those hips. To feel, to taste, to indulge in the very sanctity of his warmth.
To hold his small master close and run his fangs along his tender skin. The softness of his voice moaning and gasping at his touch. The feel of his warm wet tightness around him. What he would give for just a single moment to claim him. To know the feeling of the young boy grabbing his shoulders. His small body rocking back and forth upon his manhood. His young body pressed up against the warmth of his lover's fur. Unbeknownst to him Jake felt somewhat the same. This big burly beast had become more of a guardian than a weapon. He finally had a friend that would follow him without question.
The moment Jake laid eyes on those glorious orbs hanging below the bovine's legs. His heart skipped a beat. The firm plump thickness of his sheath stretched over his hidden member. The outline ever so faint of the large head beneath his kilt. So many things about this bovine made him shiver. The powerfully intense musk could overpower any scent. All made his very soul rage with desire. Then to watch as this goliath defeat an opponent was overwhelming. To feel his pulse rocking him as they zipped across the sky. To know his presence was there as he slept. There was nothing more he could ask for than to be loved by his Familiar.
Andrea's tail stiffened and Terra snorted sensing the growing pheromones coming from him. "Got a thing for the kid?" Terra smirked. "What's it to you," He snapped. Terra leaned back looked at Ishi doing the same as Andreas. "Funny, when we don't have someone worthy all we can do is wonder what it's like to be rid of them, but when we have someone worth protecting all we can do is ponder on how we can have more of them," Andreas mumbled under his breath. Terra laughed and held up a cup of the moonshine, which Andreas quickly downed. The two Familiar stared out as the sun vanished below the horizon.
Jake felt safe with his friends and Andreas. Something about the steer made him feel so small. "I guess you can sleep here, the roads aren't safe at night," Ishi pulled some covers from a blanket. Setting them down Andreas looked out at the fields. His heart was uneasy with a sense of someone's gazing eyes. Closing the door gently a few dark figures stood against the forest edge. Amongst them two black wolves with one having a red gash along his right arm. With a loud howl the moon rose over the hills casting a light of blue over the area.
