#5 of Winter's Worth

Oddly this is good timing since I finished part III 100 days ago.

As always, Fave, Vote, or comment if you want!

In a mostly quiet room, a young man was sleeping with the early morning rays of sunlight peeking through the blinds. Covers were still folded underneath for the most part as his head rested on a large grey furred like pillow rising and falling with a breath of its own. The "pillow" was in fact the side of his partner, or mate depending on how you look at it. His mate, Silvia, was in fact a giant wolf that loved Johann, and after a little intervention of fate came to live with him inside his home. It was a comforting scene seeing man and wolf together so peacefully. Outside was cold and wintry in appearance, typical for the region. It was the last day of January, almost a month since their little trip up the mountain. Winter had started winding down a little bit in intensity to where you could actually see the grass occasionally in Johann's yard. His mother called more frequently to check up on him and Silvia, claiming that there would be consequences if the wolf ever became too hungry. He would respond by putting Silvia on the phone to talk back as a joke.

But for the moment he was fast asleep, even though his partner had already woken up. Johann stirred as a familiar sensation struck him. His mind felt foggy and dulled whatever the feeling was to an extent, but it only grew as the seconds ticked by. Johann concentrated on hearing a slick wet noise that could barely be heard. Furrowing his brow, the left side of his face felt much warmer than the right. Whatever that good feeling was, it definitely wasn't going away as his heartbeat started picking up speed. He groaned trying to move, only to find part of himself unable to do so. Hearing the noise continue, he opened an eye only to find Silvia's muzzle assaulting him between the legs. He rubbed both eyes open catching her attention. The wolf paused before turning to him, leaving her handiwork bobbing in the open air. She leaned over to lick his cheek and eye receiving a confused sleepy groan from her partner. Ever since the she wolf had found mating to be a source of pleasure and bonding, without an annoying itchy need, she frequently satisfied the new desire with Johann.

He didn't mind her openness and strongly preferred it over the previous shyness that was encountered during the start of her heat.

"What are you up to Silvia," he yawned scratching her chin resulting in a happy throaty rumble being given.

"I'm only helping you wake up to start the day," she replied innocently enough, her odd eyes of grey and icy blue twinkling with cuteness. Seeing her beautiful eyes brought a smile to his face, temporarily distracting him. Silvia liked to wake him up this way and quickly returned to the lonely throbbing spire. Johann grabbed a handful of thick fur feeling the shorter fur of her muzzle caress him. He tried avoiding her playful touch at first, but she always kept him persuaded to stay facing her. Silvia continued to tease him this way until her taste buds desired something more. The wolf soon engulfed him entirely doing her best to lap along his sensitive underside. Johann strained to freeze his hips as he was trapped inside her hot jowls. He felt one of her teeth harmlessly graze over his tip before a more supple lip flicked it. Silvia had told him a few times before that there wouldn't be any danger if he did move, but Johann still wasn't going to risk it even though he trusted her completely. One little accidental nip was all that was needed to cause a whole slew of problems.

After all witnessing her eat an entire deer showed how efficient her teeth could be when put to the test. But he always found just a bit of wiggle room that he couldn't resist using. Another moaned ensued as the wolf worked him up with ease. She gently lapped the underside of his sensitive pole, letting it bob inside her parted jaws causing Johann to fidget in place. Feeling teeth bump and touch one side or the other helped him keep still for her, which she liked anyway. He groaned, her tongue felt like warm silk caressing him.

"Silvia... Your tongue," he moaned out feeling a climax approaching. The wolf only giggled continuing her pace, enjoying the pleasure she was giving him. He ran his hands through her fur before grabbing two fistfuls to hold on. Johann buried his face in her grey fur as a long muffled moan ensued. Silvia's muzzle kept a tight seal while her tongue sent him over the edge. He erupted inside her mouth hearing her slurp to catch it all. She drained him expertly getting a good amount from him. Johann have a happy sigh as a glowing warmth shrouded him making him a little lightheaded. Silvia had a large paw kneading over his thigh while she licked his softening tool. The human had to admit, for a giant wild wolf, Silvia was a gentle and caring lover that he was happy to have been found by from chance. His head finally stopped buzzing from the intense feeling. "I think I should stop sleeping naked with you," he said turning onto his back after Silvia stopped licking him clean.

"Then you would probably overheat hon," she replied craning her muzzle to rub it lovingly over his face. He smiled weakly and pet her while rubbing back. Silvia made a low throaty rumble until she backed off to rest her head on his stomach.

"I'm too lucky to have someone as beautiful and sweet as you with me everyday," Johann said scratching her chin.

"Did you think I would fall in love with someone else? Like that snowman you built a week ago outside," she made a wolffish chuckle nuzzling his midsection.

"No, like another wolf," he stated ruffling her soft grey fur.

"None would be my size then I think." She then yawned interrupting herself. "Besides I prefer your size, cute and small." He gave a chuckle continuing to pet his mate, losing sight in her heterochromatic eyes. Silvia stared back at him grinning with an equally happy smile while he busily scratched her cheek and ear. The wolf leaned into his touch occasionally as he hit a sweet spot she liked. He continued the affectionate caresses until he heard a loud growling gurgle.

"Hungry?" he asked as she lifted her head for a quick stretch.

"Well I guess I'll head out to hunt something," Silvia said starting to rise. Johann's head slipped off her onto the bed able to see a large belly of grey above. "Unless you're the one whose hungry," she said wagging her tail.

"No thanks, I can make my own after a shower," he said sitting up as she stretched.

"But you can't make it like me," she replied hopping off the bed. "If I come back early you won't be making breakfast alone," Silvia said heading out the door while wagging her tail. A couple of seconds later a door was heard being opened, and then shut signaling her departure. Johann stretched and took his time rising out of the bed, shivering once, immediately missing the heat her fur provided. A morning shower was quickly done before drying off and picking out a quick change of clothes. Pretty soon he found himself in the kitchen hungry for something to eat. He looked through the fridge noticing the lack of milk. Silvia had made a good point on being able to provide it, and she certainly saved him some cash when going out to town for groceries. Johann wasn't in a picky mood and decided on having toast and an egg. He was a little impatient watching the egg slowly fry. Silvia was actually very strict on her word. If he wasn't eating something by the time she came home, then Johann would find himself being dragged to another room or even the floor to feed from her.

It's not that he didn't like it, but many tastes and textures versus one tended to win out for his tongue. Besides, her milk almost always made him sleepy and it was tough to drink only a little in one sitting. Especially since the creamy meal tasted so good. Another flip and the egg was cooked to his liking. Two buttered slices of toast later, he had a decent breakfast ready and was eating before Silvia came back. Johann went to the sink after he finished, and looked at the calendar on the wall. It was the last day of January which meant the snow would start to melt and stay melted. So hopefully a clearer time would come quickly to travel to the shack in the woods. He turned hearing a door open seeing her trot in before closing it as a few snowflakes drifted inside. She hurried over to him panting only to stop a little disappointed seeing him clean a plate in the sink.

"Catch anything appetizing?" Johann asked smiling as she shook the melting flakes from her fur.

"Couldn't catch a thing!" She huffed nosing along his side before sticking her head under his arm. He put her in a headlock only to kiss the bridge of her muzzle.

"Just think of it as a warm up. You did skip it for a week after all," he stated letting her back out of his grip. Johann did make an appetizing steak a few days ago, and since Silvia didn't need to eat something but so often, she ate the cooked meal instead of going out to catch one. She licked her chops as he reminded her of the divine taste that simply spooking meat could create, and that didn't even compare to when he added flavors or spices to it.

"Maybe I could get a little more practice hunting you," she chuckled before a grin grew along her lips at the thought. Johann gave a nervous laugh seeing her grin grow as a more than appealing idea formed in her fuzzy skull. "Wait, that's not a bad idea," she said swaying towards him.

"I don't see how hunting someone who is far slower than you will make any difference," he said petting her.

"I'll give you a head start so I can work on my tracking," she reasoned brushing against Johann as if the wolf were instead a cat. It was a harmless gesture, but the wolf saw it as a more persuasive means. "If you agree to be my prey and make it back home without being caught, I won't bother you about feeding again or be so forceful about it. However, if I catch you first, your first meal will only come from me," she gave him her offer.

"If I do lose, how long would that last?"

"Two weeks sounds fair to me," she concluded. Johann furrowed his brow thinking the little game over. The consequences, if they could be called that, weren't grave at all.

"Give me a minute to think," he said watching her become impatient.

"Well you will sleep better through the whole night and it feels wonderful for both of us," Silvia said circling him, hoping to persuade him in accepting the challenge. "Besides you have never complained about the taste," she added brushing her head along the top of his back causing him to take a step forward.

"Alright, alright. I will help you practice hunting," he said ruffling the fur on her sides.

"Can we start now?" she asked smiling from the light scratches he was giving her.

"Well... I don't see why not." Johann patted her back seeing the wolf's tail wagging excitedly before he went to retrieve his outdoor gear. He soon came back with a pair of boots in hand, setting them down near a chair. "How will I win if you can't catch me?" he asked lacing up the first one.

"If you make it back inside without being caught." She said waiting by the door. Johann have a final stretch, ready to go. "I'll give you a twenty minute head start," Silvia stated opening the door for him. Johann nodded and stepped outside into the cooler air. He shut the door before hearing a quick good luck from her. Trotting down the steps, his twenty minute head start began as he jogged down the yard to the woods. There were just a few patches of snow in his yard, and the forest only had an inch or two more. He carefully avoided them to not leave an easy trail to follow. Johann then made his way into the woods and walked a good ways through to a trail he remembered that Silvia had shown him. Luckily the dirt path was partially bare of snow as well, giving him a slight edge of remaining hidden physically. At least the forest setting gave a scenic view for him. The only evidence he had of spring's arrival coming soon was the lower quantity of snow than usual covering the entire ground. The trail winded down before skirting the creek and jutting out further into the woods.

It was a very scenic walk, but Johann's eyes were peeled searching for a good hiding spot along the way. So if Silvia did find out which trail he chose, she would not be able to find him on it per se. Then he would wait for her to depart giving him the perfect escape opening. He halted hearing a howl back from his house that signaled Silvia's departure to find him. It all oddly reminded him of when she originally chased him back near the creek towards the end of fall. Although he didn't know back then what was chasing him with a full moon in view. Johann felt a cool sweat forming on his brow as the minutes now crawled by. It was supposed to be a fun game, but then Silvia wanted to make it a betting game and wouldn't let him say no. He paused listening to silence. It didn't seem so unnerving when Silvia talked about it, but being hunted by a giant wolf no matter how friendly could do that to someone. Continuing down the trail, he could make out a large tree off a few feet to the side. It was a subtle sign that the trail would loop up towards the mountains in another minute or so.

He didn't want to head that far without deviating from the path, and leaned against the tree to think. His planning was cut short when a snap of a stick caught his attention. Hearing something crunching through the snow and leaves not too far away, he quickly clamored up the side of the tree. Johann stood on a low limb about ten feet from the ground, holding onto the trunk as he hid behind it. Along the edge of the bend he could see the she wolf trotting with ease. Her grey form was easily distinguished from the white background of snow as she came down the trail. It was a little scary as he watched her below on the ground tracking with her nose. He held his breath as she paused smelling the air facing away from him. 'Please don't look up,' he silently prayed as she stepped away slowly. Thankfully there wasn't a single gust of wind to carry his scent down to her. With her canine ears perked up, she hurried down the trail leaving Johann alone in his tree. He waited a few seconds to make sure she didn't come back.

Climbing down, he scanned the area double checking if she was anywhere to be seen. Even a forest would have a tough time hiding such a large predator. Feeling safe with nothing but silent naked trees, he hurried back along the trail returning to home. Keeping up a strong paced run while checking over his shoulder every now and then, his backyard was in sight with no wolf to be seen. With confident strides, Johann climbed up the lower steep end of the hill dodging spots of snow along the way. 'Guess her hunting is a little off,' he thought circumnavigating a small spot of snow. He then heard a crunching behind him in the shallow spot of snow that he just avoided.

"I have you now Johann," Silvia said bumping into his back causing him to fall over to the ground. He quickly rolled onto his back only for her to sit on his legs as a damp black nose poked around the human's face. Two large paws planted by his head were a strong indicator that this mock hunt was over. A large tongue began cleaning over his face as he tried pushing her head away with no luck. Silvia was only amused at how he resisted her momentarily. After half a minute Johann stopped trying to worm away from the impossibly strong grip and simply let her lick over his entire face. The warm tongue was more welcome now since the air cooled his skin down even faster. "Now if only you were this still whenever I tried to tease you," Silvia said nibbling his chin.

"Alright, I lost this bet. Let's not make another so quickly," Johann said tugging at a foreleg. She giggled licking the exposed front of his neck causing him to shiver. "Stop it Silvia it's really cold out here," he said wiping his face thinly coated in saliva.

"You're right! I can warm you up inside much easier," she said removing herself from his legs. Johann barely made it to a sitting position before he felt teeth gently gripping around his neck securely. Silvia carried him easily with her jaws towards the back door. Johann went limp as his knees almost grazed the ground. Silvia proceeded to carry him across the yard and carefully up the back porch steps to the door. Using precision, the wolf with her mouthful of precious cargo opened the handle easily and went inside. Silvia gently set him down and shook off any lingering snow on her fur. Johann peeled off his thick coat and insulated overall snow pants before taking them to the laundry room to dry. A cold nose pressed against his neck causing him to tense up.

"Silvia your nose is freezing!" He turned around smoothing the momentary goosebumps that had formed.

"I'm just going to carry you," she pouted.

"Even though I can wa-" he paused as her jaws opened up and clamped around his neck. A different sort of chill went up his spine as he slowly went down to all fours before letting her drag him to their room. Johann watched the ceilings change with an ear in view as he was brought down the hallway to the bedroom. It was a little scary when she had to adjust her grip by quickly biting again before he fell, but he trusted her and remained calm when she did so. Trotting across the carpet, Silvia brought him to a side of the bed and gently set him down. "Thank you for not snapping my neck," he said adjusting himself a little more comfortably.

"I would never forgive myself if that happened," she hopped on the bed joining him. Laying parallel on top of him, she rocked over his body for a while to help warm her mate faster. The cold, if any, that Johann had felt was easily melted away with Silvia's efforts.

"Thanks Silvia, it's much warmer now," Johann said when she stopped rocking. She smiled and then nosed along his face only to blow a heated puff of air over him.

"You're face is still cold," she scolded him before washing over it with a broad smooth tongue. He felt his skin being tugged gently as her appendage was welcomed over the cooler skin. Johann would've objected in most other cases though if he wasn't cold. The process was repeated over the entirety of his face as she hummed out a happy tune making it seem like a daily chore. She occasionally switched to nibbling along his chin and neck whenever he went to scratch an itch. Oddly, her teeth on his throat didn't bother him that much and mimicked that of a pointy masseuse at work. Eventually the loving canine tongue retreated back into her maw, and her teeth remained behind her lips. Instead Silvia laid her head and neck down over his face, giving Johann a wonderful view of mixed grey and a unique method of drying his skin. The heat felt very comfortable and nice.

"How did you find me so easily?" he asked through a muffled voice as she snuggled completely on top of him.

"A wolf always knows what happens in her neck of the woods," she replied wittingly giving a happy purring growl from her throat. Johann couldn't help but grin feeling the motorboat vibrations coming from her. "But when a trail goes cold quickly, it's best to turn around wouldn't you agree?"

"I suppose you're right," he said as her neck and head rested over his face comfortably along with the rest of her warm body. A few quiet minutes passed until Silvia lifted her head in a yawn.

"A quick nap before you have lunch?" she asked breaking the soft silence to rest her cheek next to his.

"If that's fine with you," he replied wrapping an arm around her neck in a hug while petting her fuzzy head with another. He was already toasty warm by now and didn't want to move. Johann leaned against her, hearing the wolf give a content sigh as he closed his eyes.

The next morning came quickly for Johann, who nearly forgot about his little bet if it weren't for Silvia to remind him. But neither leaving bed nor taking a shower reminded him yet. Silvia patiently waited for the forgetful human as he dressed.

"Aren't you going to hunt today?" he asked searching down a long sleeve shirt for himself.

"Hmm, maybe during noon," she said as he put on a blue shirt. He shrugged and went into the kitchen followed closely by the earnest wolf. Placing a hand on the fridge door, he was suddenly reminded with a huff from behind. "Hmm, smells good in there, but only if you have enough room after breakfast," she said nudging him away towards the living room.

'Never going to live this one down if my dad hears about it,' he thought as she paused by the extended couch.

"Which method do you prefer?" she asked wagging her tail side to side.

"Does it really matter?" he said running a hand through his hair.

"Hey, I'm just giving you the option unless you want me to decide for you," she rubbed her cheek against his shoulder. He watched her tail wag excitedly as he shrugged, letting her decide for him. "I'll lay down then," she said with anticipation. The wolf hopped up on the extended couch and laid down on her side, even going so far as to curling her legs out of the way. "Come here my pup," she teased as Johann laid down with her. Silvia raised a leg for him before resting it overtop his shins as he made himself comfortable. She protruded her belly forward eager for him to start. Johann rubbed over a section of fur before feeling a distinct bump. Parting the dark grey, he was soon able to see the large inviting pink nipple waiting for him.

"Your milk will make me sleepy," he said rubbing over the large teat with a thumb.

"I won't let you fall off the couch Johann, I promise," she said eagerly waiting. Moving forward his lips wrapped around it before dutifully beginning to feed. Her teats were no longer signified with large breast like mounds that stored extra nutritious milk. They had never changed in size themselves, but each seemed larger on a comparably flatter surface. The rubbery skin-like spouts soon leaked out the desired liquid as Johann provided enough suction. Silvia gave a happy sigh feeling him suckle and closed her eyes as he took mouthful after mouthful. He knew that she enjoyed it more than most other things and gratefully pet her side appreciating it, even though it was the result of a bet. Johann slowly became full of the nutritious milk, finding it hard to just stop halfway like it always was with the addicting liquid. Reaching his limit, he unlatched with a silent pop. He rocked back a little before leaning forward again on his side rubbing the now satisfied stomach. His face was firmly planted on her belly again, but this time as a pillow. He sleepily clung to her feeling a few teeth poking against the back of his neck. Silvia carefully hoisted him up to where he was just below her head.

Johann felt a foreleg securely hold him as a tongue washed over his mouth to collect any remaining droplets. Silvia smiled tasting the substance left behind, proud that it was useful for Johann.

"Why do I get so sleepy," he mumbled feeling her finish cleaning his lips.

"I don't mind, so wait a while to shake it off," she said resting her head next to his. Johann waded through the tired phase snuggling close to her protective form, the slow steady canine heartbeat that could be felt comforting him. It did feel like taking a nap even though he remained conscious the whole time, however much had passed. Movement, however, from around stirred him from the pseudo sleep as he noticed Silvia wasn't laying next to him anymore. Cracking open his eyes, he felt a fuzzy pair of lips and a damp nose trailing over his chest. Occasionally her pink tongue would flick out to caress his skin and tease him.

"Being seductive even though you're not in heat?" Johann asked as she slowly licked lower along his stomach.

"That doesn't mean I'll enjoy it any less, and besides, you know how I get when you feed from me," she replied unsure of how to rid his pants without ripping them. Johann feeling particularly relaxed from his meal, decided to help her by unbuttoning the pants and sliding them past his hips. Silvia took over from there pulling them and his underwear off, tossing the garments to the floor. His hands though intervened before she could do anything with her tongue. Johann pulled Silvia's head up and drew her in for a kiss. Silvia happily reciprocated and gently kissed his lips with her fuzzier ones. The wolf liked the basic lips only motion that he used this time. She gave him one good smooch before pulling back trailing a large paw down his shirt covered front to below his belly button. Silvia backed off and gave him a seductive toothy grin before aiming her muzzle at his open groin. Hot anticipating breath cascaded and bombarded his privates, only giving them the slightest reason to stir. He wasn't given much time to wonder what she would do next as a muscular tongue drew a delightful wave of heat over him.

The wolf slowly lapped his now growing length. Johann adjusted his seat and relaxed further as her tongue began to have an affect, quickly bringing him to full hardness. Silvia gave him a good lathering then backed away only to tug at his arm to get up, growling playfully.

"Give me a second," He sat up a little slower than what he wanted to because of his full belly. Silvia turned around and took a step forward as he stood up getting rid of his shirt. Her tail flagged to the right as he placed his hands on both sides of her hips. She lowered her hind legs slightly to give him a better angle as his tip first kissed her heated folds. Her entrance was hot like that of any canine and sent a shiver through him as he rubbed his tip along her. With an impatient whine from above, he proceeded and pushed forward to part her folds entering her already wet tunnel. She gave a lusty growl and pushed back hilting him completely as he was surrounded by her silken covered walls. Johann groaned at the lovely sensation before slowly starting to pump in and out of her. Her furry rear proved to be a great cushion as he started finding a good paced motion that made her tongue loll out. At first Silvia panted quietly, gently rocking into his motions, but steadily built up meeting him hit for hit as she rocked back.

A lewd noisy rhythm was created as they met each others motion back and forth. Silvia pushed a little too hard back once and Johann fell sitting onto the couch, slipping out of her slick love tunnel despite how hard she tugged back.

"Careful, I'm kind of full," he said starting to get up until Silvia scooted back to him. His tool was standing alone and glistening in natural lubricant, something she couldn't let continue.

"Then you can stay right there," she gave a lustful growl lowering her rear being penetrated again. Johann groaned as she descended taking him to the hilt again. He sighed able to feel himself deeply rooted within her and placed his hands on her hips rubbing them gratefully while she was still. With his organ snugly rooted inside as she sat on his lap, the she wolf started rocking her hips and gyrating them slowly. Her insides tugged and massaged him as he leaned forward on her comfortable back for support. Johann reached both arms forward to her belly, weaving through the fine fluffy fur until he hit two familiar bumps. Clearing the fluff away, he began manipulating the bumps of sensitive flesh. The two he had turned diamond hard quickly as the wolf began to register the pleasurable sensation. He gingerly rubbed and squeezed them for her delight as she yipped happily grinding into his lap. Silvia wasn't used to it, but shuddered enjoying it nonetheless. His fingers switched to stroking and gently tugging at her hardened nipples as her heated walls did the same to him.

Johann didn't even miss a beat as his hips were practically on autopilot continually working over her silken walls. Silvia gave a low moaning howl as she felt the warm erotic sensation along her front. The action was different compared to what her sex was feeling at the moment, but the same erotic thrill was created. She rocked on his lap as he bucked up inside her sending waves of pleasure between the two.

"Don't stop... Just d-don't stop!" she said between pants. Johann had no idea why she thought he would, but he continued without saying anything feeling her close to reaching a climax. Their paced motions soon turned more lustful and erratic as he plunged passionately in and out of her, the sweet friction so wonderfully inviting. Silvia's breathing reminded him of a train riding at full steam only to be interrupted by whistling whines. Suddenly she yipped before howling out a her body was sent over the edge. Johann held on and could feel her walls quivering as the began to ripple in orgasmic euphoria. Her walls clenched tightly sending him over the edge as well. With a final buck, they collided resting on the couch as she milked his erupting member of its seed. The love howl seemed to echo in his head as he took a deep breath loosening his muscles. Johann slumped over completely relying on her back as his arms hung to the ground. Both panted for breath as Silvia wagged her tail happily beside him. "That was like wolf style sitting down," she commented feeling him soften inside her, wiggling her rump on his lap.

"Do I have to do this every morning after I eat?" He asked starting to sit up with Silvia still firmly planted in his lap. "I might actually need to go outside to cool off." Silvia shook her head.

"No, just to catch up since we haven't played around in a couple of days." She then stood up as Johann clearly saw a little bit of seed ooze out of her as she walked with an offbeat stride to the door. "I think I'll hunt something now," she said in a happy voice before opening the door. Johann laid back into the couch smelling the aroused air, he definitely needed to shower again.

A laundry basket was casually brought back into the bathroom before Johann returned to the bedroom to tidy up a little bit. He smoothed out the covers over the bed to keep a neatness look. After adjusting the pillows, he bent down to pick up the red blanket that had fallen from the night before. It was a constant reminder that they still needed to go to the shack in the woods. Johann went to the window and looked outside seeing fairer weather than the past few weeks. The tougher winter was the only reason Silvia wouldn't take him and now there might be a nice break in the frigid conditions. Picking up the phone, he decided to call his dad. No matter how tricky his dad could be, any answers or info on the shack would be very helpful. He waited hearing the phone ring until it was picked up.

"Hello?" A voice at the other end asked.

"Hey dad it's Johann," Johann introduced himself recognizing his dad's voice.

"Never heard of him," he replied.

"Whatever dad," Johann rolled his eyes hearing Ulrich laugh on the other end.

"You never answered the last two times I called. How lazy can you be to not answer a phone?" he jeered at his son playfully.

"Believe it or not I'm not always cooped up inside, and I've been busy anyway."

"Busy? Maybe if you and Silvia stopped going at it like a pair of wolves in bed you would answer."

"What the!-you are making this pretty awkward dad," Johann couldn't help but look over to the couch seeing Silvia half asleep.

"So I take it that you and Silvia doing fine?" Ulrich returned his son's attention back to the conversation.

"Yes, but I called to talk about something else." He paused hearing his dad cough for a moment. "Me and Silvia plan on going soon to the shack your friend built to find out a little more about her past if possible. Can you tell me anything you know about it?" His dad coughed again.

"Screw hay fever," he muttered clearing his throat before giving a real answer. "His little hunting shack has to be abandoned by now. It's been a good ten or fifteen years since I last heard of him," his dad replied. "Why are you asking? Do you plan on looking around there for junk?"

"Not really. I want to help Silvia find out if there's any clues to help recharge her memory, and find out what happened to her parents."

"I'm sure she can guide you over the mountain. It's right in the middle of the valley behind it." It really sounded straight forward to Johann. "And while you're down there, can you look to see what became of the place and find out anything on his whereabouts? Heck he's probably dead somewhere but I'd like to know as a friend."

"Alright I can do that," Johann said before thinking about his mom. "How has mom been doing? Is she still upset that I'm with a wolf?"

"She's doing a little better, step by step and all, but I'll give you a call if she decides to come over and shoot you for marrying outside of your species. That is if you're not 'busy' with Silvia." The heartwarming grin his dad was probably wearing could practically be felt through the phone cords. No matter how silly and immature for someone his age.

"Thanks dad I'll keep that one in mind, and I'll be sure to answer next time," he replied barely holding in a laugh himself.

"You two have fun! Bye." A click was heard as Ulrich hung up before Johann. It was probably one of the most serious phone conversations he had ever had with his dad despite the random things he said. As for his mother she would accept his decision, but it would definitely take plenty of time for that. He looked outside the window again to see his yard mostly clear of snow. They had waited to go over the mountain and into the valley to visit the shack for quite some time. Silvia only agreed to take him if the snow wasn't bad, and finally it looked good enough to travel through. "Silvia it looks good enough to finally go over the mountain," Johann said sitting on the edge of the couch next to her. She didn't respond at first and was a bit hesitant. But having a chance to remember anything about her past and parents was too good to pass up.

"Alright we can go tomorrow morning if you want," she replied neutrally resting her head on the couch arm.

"Then we should take it easy today, and not try to build a giant wolf out of snow," he chuckled sitting beside her.

"We almost had it! But that stupid gust of wind knocked it over," she grumbled folding her ears back. He smiled hugging her. There was probably another month or two before the snow cleared for good, so plenty of snow wolves could be made in that time after their little trip tomorrow.

The two left just after dawn the next day. Silvia allowed him to eat something of his choice that wouldn't make drowsiness an issue, but gladly reminded him that he still had four mornings left with her to eat breakfast. Dressed in something warm and maneuverable, Johann was led up a different trail towards the side of the bigger mountain. A few flurries accompanied them as they trekked up the smoother mountainside.

"What has you so stirred about this shack? You must've seen it plenty of times before finding me lost in the woods," Johan said ducking under a low hanging branch.

"I don't remember exactly why since that branch fell on my head a long time ago, but I always stay away from it because the building scares me," she said proceeding to lead him through the relatively unused trail. Living with a piece of amnesia didn't sound very appealing to Johann.

"So then what do you remember about your parents?" he asked crunching through the snow beside her. "Well, my father was pure white except for the tips of his ears and paws and my mother's fur was black as night," she recalled barely able to remember what they looked like. "He was brave and gentle. My mom was very caring, but both loved me completely." She paused going around a tree. "That's about all I can remember... no specific memories or anything," Silvia finished.

"Well, we will be looking out for them and my dad's friend. So I'm positive that something is going to be turned up." It sounded logical to Silvia as she led him towards the quickest and easiest way to cross the increasing incline. They soon crossed over the mountain after a surprisingly quick twenty minutes. It wasn't the same spot where they watched the sunrise, and in fact it was much lower in height to help save time, but it was definitely a spot Johann wanted to remember for later. The snow was much deeper coming down into the valley as they crunched quietly through. The few inches on the other side of the mountain didn't compare to nearly one to three feet of white powder. Nonetheless they marched on entering the valley as the ground started leveling to a more suitable flatness. Silvia couldn't place the dreadful feeling that ensnared her. She never went near the place as far as she could remember and feared it. Her eyes kept a steady lookout across the area for every trail she knew nearby to use as an escape route. Doing that helped alleviate some, but not all of the tension that she contained. Johann didn't show any discomfort and was in fact a little curious as to what the place contained.

The trees thinned out as they entered a snow covered field revealing a small building ahead. Making their way closer, it was a small house-like structure that looked very out of place in the untouched valley.

"Do we have to go inside? It's scaring me already," Silvia spoke up as they made their way to the shack. "You make it sound like we're breaking into a prison. It's an abandoned house Silvia, no one else will be there," Johann said doing his best to clear up her mystic fears. She whined but continued towards the shack's door anyway. "Besides, with us as a team, we should be fine," he tried encouraging her as they were within a couple of steps from the door. It did remind from a scene out of a scary movie, but Johann was able to shrug it off. One small window, surprisingly intact, rested above where a nonexistent porch should have been. The rest of the structure looked like a ghost trapped in a winter paradise, remaining an eyesore to the nature around. Much to Silvia's displeasure, they were soon standing in front of a damaged wooden door that had multiple scratch marks over it. "Let's go in shall we?" he said taking the first step forward. Twisting the rusty knob, Johann pushed the door in hearing it scrape along the wooden floorboards. Silvia shivered despite wearing the warmest fur coat she would have the whole year.

"Everything just feels bad," Silvia said taking a step closer to Johann before they walked in. The space was dark and carried a very stale feeling about it. With a click, Johann pulled a flashlight out of his pocket. Shining the bright beam around, the place resembled the aftermath of a tornado. One end of the larger opened area was a modest kitchen with most of the cabinet doors torn off and broken. The other half didn't fair much better as a living room. A small table was broken in several places along with a matching wooden chair. The large wooden chunks were scattered along near a narrow stairway that wrapped with the wall to a time upstairs level. There was a nasty gash in the wall that made Johann lose his breath for a second. Unless the house was made poorly, it would take a good amount of force to punch a hole of that size without breaking a bone. Continuing to look, a glowing pair of eyes were found staring back at him near a darker spot of the area in front of them.

Johann jumped back spooking Silvia only to reveal it was a stuffed coyote by the entrance to a hallway. "Stop it Johann! I'm already nervous," she trembled beside him. "You're the wolf, you should be giving me confidence Silvia," he said taking a deep breath reorganizing himself.

"I'm afraid," she said shaking at the dark hallway as Johann brought a comforting arm around her side.

"Ok, you can take the attic Silvia where it's not as dark. I'll go through that hall and see what I find," he said patting her side reassuringly. 'This place can't be too big.'

"Whatever gets us out of here sooner," she replied heading to the narrow stairs. The old stairs creaked and groaned only to help unsettle her. After reaching the top and taking two more steps, she was standing directly in front of a half closed door. She looked at the barrier with a frown. The door was halfway off its top hinges and harbored a few nasty cuts on the top half frame. Silvia pushed the door open as it scraped against the wooden floorboards creating a nasty scratching noise. She quickly stepped in hoping to hurry up and see if anything could be found. Her new surroundings were at least not as dark as downstairs. A few beams of light trickled through small holes in the roof giving the space an eerie glow of warmth despite how cold it was. The attic itself was dusty containing a desk and chair along with a small bookshelf only containing three books. She padded in sneezing once looking around for clues she didn't really want to bother with. A good amount of papers were scattered everywhere giving her the impression someone was in a rush to leave.

'Why does this place look so familiar,' she thought approaching a dirty window while avoiding a broken candle on the floor. The thought of it all being so reminiscent almost made the wolf nauseous. Looking outside, the window gave a dirty appearance towards the north where a forest of pine trees were. She couldn't tear her gaze away from the view. There was a trail that led through the forest she could now remember. It was so subtle that no one else could have seen it but her and her family. It led back to her first den where she grew up.

_ "Cynthia I do not want out daughter living so close to a hunter! Do you have any idea how dangerous this is?!" The white wolf nearly barked at his mate. _

_ "Calm down Julian! If it appeared over fall then it certainly can disappear by springtime," the she wolf said. The pair continued to bicker until a more average sized wolf yawned walking to them._

_ "Why are you two yelling," a younger wolf asked._

_ "Go back to sleep Silvia, we're just talking loudly," the white one said calmly to her._

_ "Come on, you heard your father," the jet black she wolf agreed giving a lick between the smaller one's ears._

Johann could hear Silvia walking up the stairs with the old wooden groaning noises the house made. Johann then stepped into the hallway, carefully lighting the area as he went. There was half a carpet on the floor that he nearly tripped on, but other than that there wasn't anything out of touch for an abandoned home. The hall itself was very short and had a dead end with two openings on his left and right. The one on the right had a door half open, and that peaked his curiosity enough to check there first. The wooden door groaned as it slowly swayed on the hinges. Johann took a step in and coughed from the accumulated dust that clung in the air. The space was dimly lit from a covered window. Looking around, he found himself in a small bedroom. The bedroom though, was a complete mess. Sheets were mostly pooled on either side of the bed, shredded as if they had been thrown inside a blender. The floorboards looked as if seine had tried to pry them up with their bare hands, leaving numerous scratch marks.

The other half of the hallway rug was crumpled in a corner. But there was still no reason as to why everything was a mess. A tiny dresser was laying on its side with the drawers halfway hung out caught his eye. Johann walked to it, the top smaller drawer was shut with a key inside the lock. Setting it back right side up, he turned the lock and carefully pulled the drawer open. Inside contained a broken pocket knife, a good amount of string, and a bunch of small photos. Johann picked up the squarish photographs and flipped through them. The pictures were old and faded, most of them simply being images of grey landscapes and forests. A few others were of dead animals that were hunted, presumably shot, with a certain man crouching beside each, a rifle in hand.

'This must be the guy dad was talking about,' he thought flipping through the rest until coming upon the final photo that made Johann raise an eyebrow. It contained the same grey coloring except it was a photo of three individuals all smiling. 'Dad?' Johann looked at the figure on the right bearing a ton of resemblance, albeit much younger. 'I always thought he was joking when he talked about hunting.' The man on the left was unidentifiable due to a tough blur on the edge of the picture. But the center figure was the same man in the previous ones, this time bearing a trimmed beard. A small scar over his right cheek indicated a rough individual who was definitely an outdoors person. Johann set the photos back down to look over the rest of the bedroom. Other than bits of furniture and a few torn fragments of sheets, nothing else was seen as a clue for what happened to Silvia's parents. 'At least I know who owned this place,' Johann thought seeing a small broken mirror. But the young detective had another question in his mind.

Who ransacked the place and why? Only a few people probably even knew the makeshift lodge existed in the middle of isolated nowhere. The only thing not disturbed was a stuffed odd colored fox above the head of the bed on a shelf. It's golden eyes stared back at him boldly sending a chill up Johann's spine. He turned back out into the hallway shining the light forward to not trip on anything. Two more steps and he now found himself in a pitch black room that was twice the size of the bedroom. The lack of windows probably attributed to the thick darkness. Johann slowly approached scanning his surroundings with the flashlight. It looked unscathed compared to the other two rooms he had looked at. He took a sigh and relaxed somewhat seeing that the room was a trophy collection of stuffed wild animals. Johann furrowed his brow while looking around. Just about any creature that existed in the area was mounted or neatly placed on the floor. It was like his dad's friend was given a hunting pass on Noah's Ark.

Everything was in the exact opposite condition of the other rooms, pristinely saved. Even the dust was in less quantity. Giving a quick check along the walls, he still had no answers for anyone. Silvia's memory was still clouded; the whereabouts to his dad's friend were still unknown; and the house was trashed for equally unknown reasons. 'Guess I'll see if Silvia found anything,' he thought turning back to the hall. His light touched a fairly large animal by the entranceway. Curiosity getting the better of him, he shined the flashlight at the tall creature's head that was level with his own. Inches away from his face, a large silent snarling face full of teeth greeted him. He screamed stumbling backwards dropping the flashlight. Johann scrambled backwards on the hard dusty floor until he bumped into something else. Grabbing the flashlight, he shined it on the creature only to gasp in shock. He was staring back at a giant wolf that was Silvia's size except with white fur and black paws. The shot of fear quickly dispersed as a moment of realization snatched him.

Standing up he moved the light to what he had bumped into revealing a similar wolf that was covered with pitch black fur. He failed to see them from the entrance because they were hidden by the walls that they guarded in mock fashion. "Her parents," he whispered to himself. Silvia had clearly heard the scream and immediately ran out of the top room hurrying to where Johann was. He heard the scrambling and didn't know what to do as he remained frozen darting his gaze between each parent wolf. Silvia's figure quickly ran into the small room stopping short of bumping into him.

"Johann are you alright?" she panted looking him over. He shook his head and shined the flashlight over to her father's figure. Silvia froze at first unsure of what she was looking at until an epiphany struck. Her mouth went agape staring at the forever still figures of her parents. They looked just like they used to so long ago, as of they had never passed away. She approached one before the other only to shake her head whining and growling. Everything came back in a wave. The hunter, her parents, why the house was in ruin, everything. The amnesiac tree limb no longer kept Silvia in the dark. "No! This-" She barked before bolting out of the room continuing to yell out something. Johann quickly refocused and trailed behind her. Carefully running out of the building that he was hoping to leave it behind for good, he found her laying low in the snow a few feet out making an array of distraught sounds that resembled crying.

"Silvia what happened back there?" he gently put a gloved hand on her back feeling her sob heavily.

"I killed him Johann! I killed him!" she sobbed out in a canine wail. "That hunter killed my father then my mother, and weeks later I was so furious that I went into his home at night and destroyed everything I could touch," she paused taking a quick breather. "When I found him in bed, I dragged him outside and ripped him apart... And when I came back inside, I found my parents like they are now... hollow."

"Sh, I'm here for you. It's ok," he held the shell shocked wolf as she continued to shake in place. The human wasn't sure how to exactly comfort the wolf, but he held her close for a good amount of time before her sobs started to subside. "Let's go home, I think we've found what we needed to know," Johann said helping her up. She nodded in agreement wearily standing on her paws following beside him back home. Johann checked on her every once in a while to see her trudging lowly through the snow. Each step looked painfully heavy for the wolf as she walked through the snow beside him. But the journey back home was made nonetheless with quite the opposite feeling it once had when they left in the morning. The somber had wolf kept her distance from him the entire way back much to Johann's dislike. She even waited a moment to walk inside behind him when they made it back home. Both carried out the remainder of the daylight without saying or doing much, which in itself was very strange for the couple. Johann wanted to give Silvia as much space as she needed, although she could've just gone outside for that. On the other hand he didn't want her to feel detached and lonely.

Left in conflict, Johann wasn't even in the mood to call his dad to relay what he had found. The clock could even be heard ticking in a distant room which was almost impossible when both of them were inside. After taking care of flossing his teeth for the night, Johann decided to join Silvia on the couch for the night to keep her company. The couch wasn't going to be as comfortable as the bed, but he didn't want her to be alone for the night. Johann laid down next to Silvia and held her close. Ruffling the fur on her side, he whispered a goodnight to her only to hear silence in return. Sleep couldn't have come sooner for the troubled pair.

The morning proved to be no better for either of them. Silvia even woke up late before taking a ton of time to actually rise. Johann checked on her frequently, but felt useless otherwise as he quickly found himself sitting alone at the kitchen table.

"I'm going outside," she said in a monotone voice heading to the door. Her claws clacked on the floor as the only reminder she was walking away before a door could be heard opening and closing. Johann went to the door and watched as she plodded out into the snow covered yard only to stop and sit under the lonely tree. Her head was low facing the ground as if the giant canine were about to topple over. He could only watch sadly as she remained motionless for the most part out in the cold. Eventually she did saunter off into the woods with no clear ambition of hunting from Johann's point of view. He turned around facing the living room. The gravity of the somber mood was crushing him. Johann didn't like seeing his mate stare off into space wasting away. Pacing around the area, he came up with a nice idea to at least try and pamper the she wolf. It was something she enjoyed a lot once before.

When she came back inside, Johann was ready with a towel to help dry off the wet snow sticking to her fur. She idly stood by as he dried her fur and paws off from snow, only to pad away silently after he finished. 'There has got to be something else I can do,' he thought tossing the towel into the laundry room after watching her hop back onto the couch. She laid back down on the couch in the same position aimlessly staring somewhere between the fireplace and far side of the wall. Scanning around the house, he remembered about the brush that was being kept in the bathroom. Returning to the living room with the brush in hand, Johann thought grooming her would help out in some way. Silvia after all loved it when he first did it. Sitting down next to her, he started brushing the ruffled unorganized grey around her shoulders. The muscles underneath seemed to stiffly resist him this time, but the fur flowed smoothly as always. The various grey colors were melded into a shinier appearance that was usually kept.

Johann nudged her side hoping she would turn over. After another few bumps and nudges, the she wolf conceded and sat up like a sphinx with her head resting on the couch's arm. Making use of his time he quickly went over brushing the other side, only disheartened from the quietness that ensued from her. Moving to her front, he carefully groomed her neck and cheeks. It took him a good amount of time, but her coat was smoothed looking silky soft compared to earlier. "Your coat looks much better now," he said with a grin smoothing over her lifeless tail. "And your facial fur is prettier." Silvia remained silent and rolled back onto her original side. It was an action that easily erased his fragile smile for the remainder of the day.

Another day passed without much that changed. Worry and anxiety continue to grow on Johann as Silvia made the couch her usual spot for a majority of the day and night. He wanted to try and snap her out of it, but that would not have any positive effects by using force. Johann spied around the kitchen corner seeing a paw hanging over the arm of the couch. It was one of the few physical signs of life that she gave. He walked up to her noticing the untouched plate he had given her.

"Come on Silvia, you have barely eaten or even bothered to go hunting for a whole day," Johann said removing a now half eaten cold plate of meat that had been setting in front of her. He then sat beside her on the couch and held a large paw in hand. The fur was a regular light grey compared to the mix that encompassed her face, back, and sides. He rolled his thumb over a pad or two still not receiving any reaction. The semi rough skin contrasted every other sensation that the rest of the wolf's body possessed. The silence ticking by soon became too much for the human as be glanced over to her somber face. Johann would've given anything in the world just to know what was on her mind. "You can't just sit here and mope Silvia, I'm worried about you," he bent down and gave a kiss on the side of her muzzle. She gave a quiet growl telling him to back off and he did so without a complaint. Upsetting her would be a terrible mistake during this emotional time. Mainly because of the fact that she could physically overpower him in a second. He stood up and took his time walking to the hallway hoping that she would say something. "I'll be in our bedroom if you need me," he said quietly cutting out the light before returning to the lonely room.

He left the door open just in case Silvia did want to come in. His eyes trailed over the neatly made covers that were rarely pulled back since the she wolf had started sleeping with him back in the fall. 'I'm worried sick about her,' he thought sitting at the edge of his bed. It must've been a lot for her mind to carry remembering everything. But only time could heal a wound like that if she continued to distance herself. With a weary heart and mind, Johann made himself as comfortable as possible in a bed that might as well have been empty. For the first time since late fall the human relied on covers to stay warm as sleep slowly came to him.

"Perfect summer day," Johann commented looking out the bedroom window seeing palm trees. Beautiful blue sky without a cloud in sight, and no visible wind to ruin the perfect stillness.

"Johann," a voice rang out that he barely heard. It made him think of a mermaid until he remembered Silvia wasn't with him.

"I can't have her missing out on this amazing weather!" He proclaimed leaving his room to walk down the hall. The looked more wavy and crooked than he remembered, but brushed the feeling aside. Instead, Johann was more fascinated with the assorted portraits, pictures, and photos that covered most of the wall space. Pictures and images that he had never seen before decorated everything as he closely inspected each.

"Johann. Oh Johann!" The mysterious watery voice echoed out again, this time a little louder.

"Hold on... These pictures," he muttered confused looking over a particular one. It was a small square photo with a wolf snarling a mouth full of teeth at someone who took the shot. 'They look so familiar,' he thought unable to place the strange feeling. Johann pondered a while until he remembered how nice it was outside. "Come on Silvia we don't want to miss out on all the sunshine!" he said passing by the strange new paintings at the end of his hallway.

"Johann," the voice sounded again much quieter as he entered the living room. He saw the wolf sitting in the living room facing away from him, her attention directed to the empty fireplace. Her body was smaller than he remembered, resembling more of an average big dog than a giant wolf.

"Hey Silvia don't just stand there, it's a beautiful day outside!" Johann said excited wanting to enjoy it all with her. She didn't budge. Not even her ears turned acknowledging that she had heard him talk. Johann approached her not sure what had her attention. "Come on, I promise it won't be too hot," He shook her smaller body only for it to stiffly tilt and wobble like an unsteady table. A worried feeling shot through him as he moved around to look at her from the front. The wolf's eyes looked as of the were made from glass instead of their separate natural blue and grey. The fake eyes didn't even blink as he felt her muzzle, only to notice it was rock hard underneath. Suddenly the fireplace roared to life as the bright sunshine from outside turned pitch black as he looked around for help.

"Johann help me!" Silvia's voice shrieked causing him to panic.

"Silvia!" 'Oh God what can I do!' he desperately thought trying to stand up while holding onto her stiff body. The rug continued to tangle and slip around his feet causing him to balance on his knees. If he wasn't panicking by now then he was definitely having a heart attack. The floor suddenly gave way as he desperately tried holding on to Silvia. Johann screamed as he was swallowed by darkness. "Silvia!" Johann's eyes finally forced themselves open to reveal a very dark bedroom. The quietness seemed to hurt his ears as all the noise except for his heavy breathing disappeared. A hand on the carpeted ground told him he had fallen out of the bed. Heart racing accompanied with clammy skin, Johann figured he had just experienced a nightmare.

"Johann?" a very familiar voice rang out in front of him. He blinked his eyes a few times able to detect a faint outline in front of him. "I heard you scream my name, are you alright?" the sweet voice called out to him again quietly. Johann held out a hand making contact with a furry wall in front of him.

"You're alive! It wasn't real at all!" he happily cried out.

"Huh?" she managed to say before feeling him smother his face into her chest. Johann inhaled deeply. He could smell her scent that comforted him and he didn't want to let go of it for the world. Eventually Johann began to calm down enough where Silvia had some room to move to her liking. She shifted a little and sat down on her haunches feeling him cling on with a steely grip despite yawning out a sleepy protest. "I'm going to lay down now Johann," she said softly as he followed her to the ground. "Are you ok now Johann?" Silvia asked him again with a more calm voice. She received a nod that rubbed against her front. Silvia breathed a sigh of relief. The she wolf was still upset, but her motherly instinct kicked in when she heard that scream of his pierce her ears in the middle of the night. Silvia watched over him as he slowly went back to sleep, marked by his breathing returning to a slow deep pace. She didn't bother closing her eyes, and chose to instead watch over him until he woke up again.

He woke up again, much more soundly, late in the morning still loosely holding onto Silvia while she waited for him to get up.

"Morning," she greeted him a little awkwardly sitting up beside him.

"Good morning," he stretched before getting up off the floor. She made a long nervous gaze but broke it looking towards the spot where he shad slept half the night. Johann patted her shoulder before giving Silvia a quick kiss. She pinned her ears back swiping a tongue where his lips had touched as he went to take a shower. Johann took a cold shower to physically shake away the remnants of last nights nightmare. He ran a hand through his wet hair as water cascaded around him. It was best to forget about the dream that wasn't real, no matter how creepy it felt. If Silvia needed him, then he would be right there. Johann didn't want to force her into saying or discussing anything that upset her. Cutting the shower off, he grabbed a towel to dry with. He was surprised to see her waiting for him by the doorway and stood back putting a fresh shirt on. "You don't have to tell me anything until you're ready," he said before giving her a quick hug.

"I know," she said quietly following him to the kitchen where he grabbed a bite to eat. Hardly a word was spoken before he went to do a few typical chores. She followed him around with just a little bit of distance as he completed the chores around the house before taking a small break on the couch that she had occupied for days. Johann always gave her a hug or any other little show of affection when he finished a chore. Something that made her feel a little better each time he did so. A sense of guilt began to permeate around her for shutting him out. All he did was try to help. She sat down below him on the floor as an arm wrapped around her back. The she wolf grinned knowing that he hadn't given up on her when all he had to do was toss her out like an animal. Silvia felt very lucky indeed to be with the special human. Her special human. Silvia turned looking at him as he looked back. "I'm-I'm sorry for pushing you away Johann, you were only trying to help," she said starting to whine. Johann turned in his seat to hug her and rested his head over hers, giving her that physical barrier that she provided so many times for him. She whined and made huffing noises, the closest a canine could get to sobbing.

Johann held onto her and soothingly pet his distraught mate. Silvia decided to at least finish up what she had tried to say back in the valley. "After that day I couldn't eat, sleep or do anything! But walking down a pathway, a tree limb fell hitting my head so I forgot almost everything. Years went by and all I knew was my name and how alone I was. Then I found your back yard and house one day. You were laying in the grass looking up at the sky with a happy content face without a trouble in the world. I wanted more than anything in my lonely world to go and talk to you and have someone for a friend, but I was too afraid because you were a human...."

"And then I got lost in the woods the following night," he concluded for her.

"Yeah, and I haven't regretted it since," she brought her head up to his bumping him sweetly. A growl interrupted the close moment. "Can you please go and catch something to eat now so I don't have to watch you shrivel up," he said hugging her tightly before letting go.

"Only if you keep the bed warm for me," she replied with a smile before turning to the door.

"I'd be glad to," he watched as Silvia left the house bounding through the snow.

***

Johann was resting in bed as the sun finished setting when he heard the door open and close again. The familiar clacking of claws on the hardwood floor were heard until his door was pushed open.

"Did you catch something big to last a longer time?" Johann pat the edge of the bed.

"A nice deer," Silvia said licking her chops joining him. "It's good to know that you won't overheat," she said standing overtop of the naked human, looking him over.

"With you I should keep my sleeping clothes in the closet." Silvia only smiled laying on him in their usual sleeping position. "OOF! You're heavier than I remembered Silvia," Johann said scratching her cheeks.

"I'll take that as an 'I missed being with you very much Silvia,'" she said settling down on top of him. It was great having her overtop of him again. His arms wrapped around her in a big hug as leaned forward and kissed her. Silvia giggled and tilted her head parting her jaws to give him better access. Her canine teeth poked under his ears as she let him explore, but was surprised at how quickly he retreated out of her jowls. She backed off and gave him a questioning look.

"Can we snuggle together instead?" he said quietly brushing his cheek across her muzzle.

"I would like that very much," Silvia said rolling off him before reciprocating the affectionate muzzle brushes. Johann turned on his side facing her while continuing the loving gesture between Silvia. She giggled as they bumped noses and stopped to hook her forepaws around his shoulders, dragging him up against her. Warm fur made welcoming contact to his skin that was missed for the past days. He wrapped his arm around her lower neck again along with a leg over her side making himself comfortable as close as possible to her. Her head felt warm and reassuring as it nestled above his own creating a loving barrier. The loving couple gently caressed each other in their unique ways, keeping their cherished contact as close as possible.

"Want to try and make a giant snowman tomorrow?" he asked wiggling his nose as her whiskers poked it.

"Don't you mean a snow wolf?" she smiled lightly licking the edge of his ear before bringing her nose to the human one.

"Just like the living room is the loving room?"

"Exactly," Silvia said squeezing him for a moment in her canine hug.
