Drive By
Durian rolled down the window of the old Honda, "Kirin, get your ass over here!"
While they're parents were away in Seattle, Durian had been left in charge of his little sister, but only because he could drive and had a car, a fact she was merciless in reminding him. The wolf, 19, had just finished his first year at Rice, and had shaggy, grey fur, with long head-fur which had gotten dyed blue. He was unusually tall, about 6'6", and thin, but not overly muscular. He didn't like sports; he was more of a music kind of guy. He played guitar, cello, upright bass and bass guitar, piano, and saxophone he was also learning to play the trumpet, because he had heard Louis Armstrong on the radio, and had fallen in love with the sound. His sister, on the other hand, looked like she wasn't even related to him. She was 16, and had her license, but lacked a mode of transportation. She looked like she would break in half if she lost any more weight. Oh, she wasn't anorexic or anything like that. Far from it, she would eat more than her brother; she just wouldn't gain anything, except a stern glance from her father when she asked for fourths. She had short black fur and glasses, which added to her smart-looking appearance. Unlike her brother, though, she was the active one. So far she was head of the soccer team, basketball team, and the track team. She ran over, and, belying her active schedule, tripped over the curb, running smack into the car door. The male wolf leaned back, sighing. His sister opened the door and threw all her books on him in response. He shoved them into the back seat and didn't wait until Kirin had buckled, peeling out into the parking lot and onto the road, "Shit, Dare! What's wrong with you, anyway?"
Her brother laughed in response, "You were taking too long, so I sped things up."
Kirin looked into the back seat, where her books and papers lay strewn about the whole car.
"Damn it!" She said, smacking Durian on the back of the head. He laughed again, and the rest of the way home was rather uneventful. When they got there, Kirin spent half an hour cleaning up the back seat of her school stuff, and Durian went inside to order a bunch of pizzas, leaving the keys in the car. Some friends were coming over for a party, so he had asked Kirin to run get some supplies. She made her way to the store, and bought a load of chips, salsa, and more than a couple of six-packs. Her boyfriend, Darren, who had actually told her he loved just last month, worked at the register, and didn't ask her for an I.D., in exchange for a kiss on a break he had been saving. He led her to the back of the store, and opened the "Employees Only" door that went outside. The two teenagers ducked behind the brick wall that separated the Employee parking lot from the regular one. Darren turned, and was immediately assaulted by his lover's tongue. Kirin pressed herself against his warm body, forcing him against the wall. Her hands ran down his torso, rubbing his chest and well-defined abs. Darren played sports too; he was second in the track team. He responded by wrapping his arms around her shoulders, massaging her back and deepening the kiss, entwining his tongue with hers. He worked his way down her back to her tail, playfully tugging on it, "Oh God, Tails." He moaned. Tails was Darren's pet name for Kirin, associating to her long, bushy tail. He squeezed her ass, massaging it. Kirin moaned into their kiss, sending her hands down lower, gripping his semi-firm cock. Now it was Darren's turn to moan. Kirin unbuckled his belt, and then slid her fingers into his boxers, feeling his now hardened dick, and pushed his pants down to his ankles. She looked up, and found her boyfriend's cock right in front of her face. She looked up at him with a sly grin, and licked the tip of his cock, eliciting a moan from her lover. She took the pillar of flesh into her mouth, and started to bob her head on it. Darren placed a hand on her head, ruffling her ears and massaging her neck. She released his throbbing member and licked it one last time, before standing up to kiss him once more, continuing her hand job. Darren humped forward into her hand, sliding his hands to her shirt, removing it from her, almost ripping it in his frenzy. He cupped her breasts in his hands, feeling her hardened nipples beneath her bra. He moaned as Kirin continuing to work his cock, gently sliding her hand back and forth over it. He reached back and unclipped her bra, letting it fall to the ground. He then undid her pants, letting them drop as well. He turned them around, so that Kirin was against the wall. Finally, they broke the kiss, and Kirin glanced down, pressing herself against him.
"Do you..." Darren began, but Kirin hushed him with a finger over his muzzle.
"Let's make this special." She said, licking his cheek. Muscles standing out through his fur, Darren lifted her up onto an unused cart, spreading her legs. He stepped in close to her and kissed her again, running his hands down her front, stopping to tease her nipples. She moaned into his mouth, shuddering as he ran his claws up the inside of her thighs. He reached around and massaged her ass again, stepping closer still. The tip of his wolfhood touched her slit, making her gasp and break the kiss.
Darren stepped back, "Are you okay?"
"I'm...Fine." She replied, panting. She pulled him closer, retaining his head rubbing her virgin sex. Darren started to push his hips forward, slowly penetrating her sex. He stopped a couple inches in, "This is going to hurt." He said, looking up into her eyes.
"I want my first time to be with you, I'm giving it to you, take it." She said.
Her eyes radiated trust, and he thrust forward sharply, breaking through her wall and hilting inside her. Kirin gasped, closed her eyes, and tears started to flow down her cheeks. He held her close to him, letting her cry into his shoulder. Her body shook, but only for a while. She looked up at him, eyes betraying her deepest thoughts, laying her soul out like a map for Darren to read. He slowly started to pull his cock out of her. When he came near the tip, he pushed back in, ever so tenderly. He built up speed, pumping his hips in, then out, then back into his lover. He told her he loved her; that he would be with her forever. All the while he was picking up speed. He licked her neck, then her cheek. Her eyes were closed tight, and her mouth was slightly open. He hammered into her, banging the cart up against the wall. He felt his orgasm building up, a burning sensation spreading throughout his body, wave after wave of love for Kirin crashing through his mind. He looked up at Kirin, as if to ask her if this was what she really wanted.
"I love you, Darren..."
It hit. Darren slammed his hips into hers, tying her with his knot. She screamed softly as it entered her, spreading her wide. Wave after wave of his seed shot deep inside her. Kirin's orgasm hit her soon after. With a cry, she collapsed onto her mate. Darren gently lifted her off the cart, and they stood, still tied. He lifted her muzzle up with a finger. She looked into his eyes, nothing but trust and love could be seen. They met in a passionate kiss, melting into each other. They kissed for what seemed like eternity, not caring as the minutes passed away. When they finally did break, they redressed, and Kirin gave her lover a quick lick and departed.

"You're late, where the hell were you?" Durian asked, exasperated. She had left an hour and a half ago.
"At the store, just like I was supposed to!" His sister retorted.
Durian looked away, continuing to flip through channels on the TV. They're friends would be over in an hour, and the pizzas would arrive an hour after that. Kirin flopped down beside him, letting out a sigh. Durian promptly pushed her over the side of the couch. She threw a pillow at him, and soon they were wrestling on the floor. She grabbed some of his blue head-fur and pulled, hard. Durian yelled, and pushed her away. They fell about laughing, and the doorbell rang.
"Shit, they're here early!" Durian said, smiling.
He threw open the doors, only to have a keg almost hit him in the face.
"Gimme a hand with this, will you?" The fox behind the drum said.
"Hey James, give it here."
Durian grabbed the keg, and set it down in the kitchen. He then started the tedious process of tapping it, carefully knocking a spigot into the bung. During the whole process, James brought in three more kegs.
"How the fuck did you get here with all this?" Durian asked.
James laughed, "There were five of us, and the others are out there enjoying the fifth keg. Durian and Kirin followed him out and helped their friends finish off the beer. After it was done, Durian ran back inside and cranked up the stereo, popping in a Green Day CD.
The pizzas arrived at about the same time as everyone else, and everyone had a slice and a beer in each hand, talking or grooving intermittently. Durian thought everyone was having a great time, and they ended up throwing more than a few people into the pool out back, while the ever-growing crowd kept yelling for more. When they were done, they abandoned their captives, cranked up the stereo even more and mingled. Durian spotted Kirin sitting with some guy, Darren, he thought his name was. Then he saw his girlfriend, a beautiful wolf standing with some other people he had no idea who were, or if he did, he was too drunk to remember. He headed over in her direction.
"Hey, Kristin!" He said, giving her a quick kiss on her cheek.
"Nice party, lots of food, beer, good music!" She replied yelled back. She pressed close to him, and he kissed her again. They talked for a while, did some stuff, partied. Around 10, Durian got everyone outside, and hit the play button on the projector screen. One cool thing about his house was that there was one side that was bare, except for windows, which could be covered up. Everyone settled down for the movie, choosing spots on the lawn or on hoods of cars. Durian grabbed some lawn chairs from the garage, and he sat, Kristin in his lap, enjoying the scene. Kristin turned around and kissed him again, letting her tongue slide along the roof of his mouth.
"Let's go." She whispered.
They snuck off inside, and found his bedroom. He locked the door, and she pressed herself against him again, rubbing her hands down his body, entwining his tongue with hers. He pulled her shirt up, breaking their kiss, and ran his hands over her breasts, rubbing them. She moaned and kissed him again. Durian pushed her onto his bed, shoving off the lyrics and sheet music to make room.
"I love you, Kristin..." He said, tentatively looking in her eyes.
"Show me..." She said, unzipping his pants. They worked frantically, trying to get the other's clothes off first. Durian lost patience and extended his claws, ripping through her pants and underwear. He kissed her again, and plunged his rock-hard cock deep inside her, breaking through and filling her to the brink. She screamed into his mouth, and he sat up, stroking her cheeks and telling her it was going to be okay. She calmed, and he forced a bit more of his wolfhood into her. He started to hump in and out of her, picking up speed until he was slamming his hips into hers. The bed smacked against the wall, the sound falling upon the deaf ears of the two lovers. Kristin reached down and grabbed Durian's ass, forcing him to hump into her harder. The room was filled with their moans and gasps, culminating in twin howls as their orgasms hit, and Durian buried his knot inside Kristin. The two kissed a final time, looking long into each others eyes, and fell asleep.

Durian awoke to his lover moving beneath him. He quickly got up, and realized he was still inside Kristin, and still quite hard.
"Wanna really wake up?" She asked, pushing on the top of the bed and forcing herself down onto his cock again. He smiled, and quickly obliged.
When they had finished, they got up and dressed. Durian lent Kristin some of his clothes, and promised to buy her some new ones. She scoffed at the idea.
"College kids don't have money!"
"Then we're in the same boat." Durian laughed.
They made their way downstairs, in time to see the last people out. James was still sleeping on the couch. Durian threw a pillow at him.
"Stoppit, Ohhhh, I've got a killer hangover, w'the fuck you doin'?"
"Getting you out of my house." Durian replied, dragging the intoxicated fox outside onto the porch.
"Unless you want to help clean up, you can leave now." Durian said.
"N'way, man, I'm outta here." James replied. He made it down the steps, but collapsed in the front yard.
"You better get him inside, this guy was drinking four times as much as anyone."
He turned and looked at his sister. She, along with everyone else, including him, looked wasted. They had all done their fair share on the beer.
"Everyone else drive home?"
"Yea, they all seemed fine. Nothing wrong." She said, picking up some of the leftover party materials. Durian helped her clean up, and then took a cold shower. When he was finished, he got dressed again and headed outside into the yard.
Kristin walked over to him and kissed him, long, hard, and deep.
"Bye, love." She said, rubbing her rear against his hips one last time, before heading out to her car.
Durian called to Kirin.
"Hey, we're out of food, you wanna go get something?"
"FOOD!" She yelled back, rushing to his car. He laughed and grabbed up his keys, checking his wallet for any stolen cash. Luckily, everything was still there.

"Watch out for that truck!" Kirin screamed.
Durian jerked the steering wheel away from the oncoming black vehicle, slamming on the gas pedal. The truck careered away from them, running off the road. It didn't stop, though; it kept going, right into the high school parking lot. The driver only slammed the brakes then, just in time to smash into a car that was backing out from its space.
"Oh my God," Kirin's eyes were wide. She looked more closely at the heinous wreck. She recognized the license plate...

"DARREN!"
That was the last thing he remembered hearing. The next thing he knew was a white ceiling, tiled, with little designs of...something...he couldn't see straight. He tried to sit up, but couldn't move. Suddenly, a white-masked otter stood over him.
"Can you see me, Darren?"
What a dumb question, he thought; of course he could see him. His eyes were open, weren't they? He tried to answer, but couldn't seem to get his tongue to move right, and he couldn't open his mouth. He glanced over to his right, seeing a big machine with a monitor. The monitor was like the ones on those hospital shows on TV, with the line that went up and down, making a beeping noise. There were a lot of tubes coming out of it, but he couldn't move his neck to see where they were going. He couldn't feel them, either, because he had a pretty good idea where they ended from all those late-night ER shows. The otter moved again into his line of sight. He sighed as he looked at the youth,
"Darren, let me explain to you what's going on. You were backing up in you car, out of your parking space at school. A drunk driver went over the ditch, into the lot, and hit your side of the car at about 90 M.P.H. That's really fast, Darren. The impact completely crushed your car, with you in it. It shattered your rib cage, legs, and your left arm. But, most importantly, it broke your neck. You're one of the lucky ones, you're alive and you can see. But, you can't move anything else. We called your parents, and we're waiting for them now. Before you see the driver that hit you, we want to talk to your parents. Also, it seems that there's a rather hysterical black wolf girl outside your room, crying her eyes out. Blink twice if you know her."
Darren blinked once, twice, it seemed to take a lot out of him.
"Would you like to see her?"
He blinked twice again.
The doctor stood up, and Darren followed him with his eyes to the door on the left side of the room. Almost right as he turned the knob, Kirin exploded into the room. He had known Kirin since 5th grade, and they had been dating since freshman year. He had only confessed his love for her a few months ago, and had found the feeling to be mutual. He now watched, helpless to do anything, as she looked at him from across the room. She had this blank stare, it scared him. She walked over to him, almost as if she wasn't controlling herself. She gripped his hand, he couldn't feel it, and broke down again, tears streaming down her cheeks. He remembered another time, when they had bonded, both physically and spiritually.
"Darren...Darren...Darren..." She just kept repeating his name. Over her shoulder, he could see her brother, Durian, he thought, leaning up against the door and staring after his sister, the same blank look in his eyes. The brown wolf looked back to his love. But the doctor was already ushering her out of the room. He tried to say something, anything, but remembered he was paralyzed. A great sadness for himself welled up inside his chest, but the tears wouldn't come.
Then, his parents rushed in. His father stopped dead, right next to Durian, but his mother rushed to his side, and started asking him questions. The tears started then, coursing down the sides of his head, soaking into the pillow. His mother stopped. The otter stepped in, and explained Darren's predicament to the two hysterical wolves. His mother's mouth dropped more and more as she heard what had happened. When the doctor got to the part that his neck was broken, she too broke down into tears.
The doctor tried to sound as optimistic as possible, but it didn't do much to stem the tears.
Then, as if God himself had stepped down into the body of the doctor, he said, "However, it's very risky, but there might be a slim chance we can restore control to his body."
His mother stopped crying and stared at the otter, Darren's own eyes went wide, but his father was the only one who asked, "How?"
"Several stages of surgery would be required, as well as months, maybe years, of physical therapy. It would all be very expensive."
"How much?" Darren's mother asked.
"It would total to about $60,000."
His parents gasped, and his mother started crying again. Darren closed his eyes tight, tears welling up in his eyes again. $60,000, no one he knew had that kind of money, and the insurance company would never pay that much. They might be able to put in $10,000, maybe, but not anything significant enough to matter.
Durian looked down at the floor. That was a lot of money, all for one kid who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He thought back to the crash. The truck careering towards his car, the back, he could've done something, slowed down. No, Kirin might have gotten hurt. He wiped at his eyes where the moisture was starting to develop. He ducked outside, dialing his parents' number.
"Hey, mom? No, I'm okay. Well, I don't know about Kirin. No, we're not fine. Something bad has happened. Someone is seriously hurt. You know Kirin's boyfriend? The guy who told you he loved her? Yea, he broke his neck in a car accident. No it wasn't his fault, some drunk hit him at 90. Yea, I know, it's horrible, and Kirin's breaking down."
He looked at her. She had stopped crying, she was just sitting there, staring at nothing. He felt another pang in his chest and wiped at his eyes again.
"The doctor said that he can be saved. But it's really expensive. No, mom, listen!"
His voice grew angry, "MOM!" He yelled. Kirin didn't even respond.
He spoke angrily now, "I don't know what Kirin's gonna do if we can't help Darren."
Finally, Kirin looked up. She looked at him with an odd expression on her face. It scared Durian. He remembered that face from one of his friends. It was the face he had given them at their last get-together. Everyone had thought he was fine. That night, he shot himself in the head. He walked over to her and draped his arm over her.
"I'll work this summer, and the next, until I can pay it off. No, I doubt she really feels like talking."
Kirin was staring at him. He found an empty room and shut the door. Inside, Kirin couldn't hear him explode at their parents.
He put the phone back in his pocket and opened the door; he sat down on the bench again. Kirin was still staring at him. She moved closer; curled up in his lap, head against his chest.
"Durian, I-"
He nuzzled her, "Kirin, I never want you to be unhappy. Don't do what you're thinking about, I love you. Darren loves you. No one wants you to go away." He hugged her, and they both started to cry. Kirin tightened her grip fiercely, afraid of letting go.
"Thank you..."
