What I can teach you

part 1: The beginning of the high road

The sun was rising, and a young adult cougar, began to rise from his bed. The day was like any other day, though peaceful as it was, to him it was nothing new. Since he had moved the days all seemed too similar, the feline was begging for change in this dreary place. He was young, tall, toned, and had wavy dark hair. His appearance was dreamy, and his eyes brilliant. He moved himself from his bed and walked into the bathroom, his body unclothed, and barbed cock sticking from his sheath, but slowly as his body awoken the penis began to sink back into his sheath.

He walked into the bathroom, trudging, rubbing his eyes and then looked into the mirror. The feline gave him the same look he gave to it. His hair was a mess, and he could smell his own morning breath. He took a chance and looked back through the open door, to see the clock blinking as if it were one o' clock.

"That's new" he spoke in a still only half awake voice.

It was soft and sweet yet strong in delivery. He thought it was simply a power outage, though to the honest truth it was not, or at least not a natural one. That night a group of cubs had come to the apartment complex and snipped at some wires on the wall. This caused a short and maintenance did not fix the problem until an hour prior to the feline's awakening. He turned and stepped towards the shower, his body feeling a little weak. The night prior he had tutored three college students in psychological disorders for their exam, and none of them seemed to understand half the things he was trying to teach them, almost as if they hadn't paid attention to their classes at all.

Mr. Y as he went by was a tutor for a college called FU, which stood for Furries University. It's blatantly simple name is actually symbolic of a grand achievement, Furries University was literally the first Omni-species College ever made, and since the 1200's it has been growing. The money that goes into it is publicly funded by the principles and donations. The campus had just recently built on a Human studies building though the classes were not yet to be taught, people could still find the interest and study. Anthropology had grown in interest over the last few years, and Mr. Y was considering learning it to tutor some more students. Many popular furs over the ages graduated from the college, and he was happy to tutor for them.

The paycheck was descent, and every now and then he got Private commissions out of the school, and that gave his income a boost. He didn't do it for the money, He'd have become a full time professor if he wanted money, would've done more. He was a great teacher, always finding a way to help the boy or girl adapts and teach the subject, paws on mostly, if possible.

He never gave out his real name, and he honestly felt that no one cared to know it, he barely was asked for the name he gave them. He waved it off, the ages were changing, and people don't have time for others like he did. The water began to spray over his well built body and steam rose. The shower was hot, and he took the soap in paw, and began to lather it around his body, the soap was made to give his fur a beautiful shine. He began to lather it over his chest, and smiled as he felt himself awakening. He then worked his way down, rubbing across his abdomen softly, and using his other paw, to get at his neck.

Looks were important to him; he had a bunny coming by this morning to be taught. He loved to make a good impression on new students, and this boy was had just started, and wanted to get a boost in help on his Mathematical studies. Nothing complicated just basic math, but Y looked over the Records of the Bunny, and found his math was never the most intriguing, other classes English especially were profound and high marks. Y found his paw rubbing across his sheath, trying to summon his prick to wash it as well, it had no trouble sliding itself from the sheath, and it began to harden, and extend as its barbs began to protrude, his paw lathering the soap across it's length, and purring as he did so.

To his bodies dismay a knock came at the door, and his ears gave a twitch. He washed off the soap quickly, turned off the shower, and wrapped a towel around his waist. He felt so foolish; he had forgotten that the boy was coming at ten.

"Why didn't my alarm go off!?" he frantically looked around for some pants and to his annoyance none found there way onto his floor, and at this moment he cursed his cleaning habits. He walked to the door and opened it to a crack. Outside was a male Rabbit, his hair long and dirty blonde reaching to his hips, and tied into a long pony tail, his eyes crystal blue, and his paws gripped close as he shivered. The Bunny's fur was a bleach white, and he was shorter than most.

"Hello?" Y answered simply out of habit.

"H-h-h-hi, I-I'm J-Jessie, I-I...are y-you Th-the tutor?" The child was shivering and his teeth were chattering.

"Yes, please come in, I need to get myself ready, but you can help yourself to anything" Y opened the door as he said this, rubbing the back of his head and then quickly moving his paw back down to catch his towel, which was giving a slight tent. The Bunny watched after the feline who quickly walked back into the bathroom closing the door shut and putting his back to it.

"Damn it all, why today of all days, I'm still soaking" The cougar gave a low growl and looked around noticing he didn't bring a new set of clothes to wear. He opened the door to a crack; the bunny was somewhere in the living room because he couldn't see the lapin, considering it was a small apartment. He quickly moved out and almost dove for his chest of drawers pulling out some underwear, and sliding into them quickly, tripping and falling his head hitting the bed and him falling to the ground.

"Ouch" he said in a whisper and quickly got up sliding some jeans on, and a White T-shirt. The day was cold but his apartment was hot and he hoped the bunny didn't want to go back out into that freezing air willingly. The feline took in a deep breathe and then exhaled finally walking into the Living room, there he had set up a white board, and he had a projector if need be but in this case he was quite fine with just a marker.

"Alright, so, Jessie Usagi? I assume your ancestry is from the east?" The cougar was a little nervous and the bunny stared at him with his crystal blue eyes.

"W-well what's your name?" The bunny seemed nervous too, he kept his paws in his lap and never looked the feline square in the eyes. His hair was quite long, it was hanging over the chair, down to the Bunny's waist, and it was well kempt.

"Y-yes, well you can call me Mr.Y, I'll be your Tutor for the next few weeks, and hopefully your friend" the cougar smiled to the bunny as the young man also sat down at a chair just across from his student "So, basic math, I want to know a little more about you before I try and teach you, just my policy. So tell me a little about yourself, what you enjoy?"

"I-I...I like to draw" The rabbit bit his lower lip looking down at the desk, the cougar seemed to find himself smiling without realizing it "I like to shop..."

"What kind of music do you like?"

"I Like classical and anything soft honestly, J-pop, J-Rock, anything from Japan sounds very nice to me" The bunny was looking down into the desk attached to his chair.

"So, why are you taking this? Free time, or because you have to?" The feline laughed always expecting it to be one of the two.

"No...I had to tell me friends I didn't have time to go out for a few weeks, and I don't need to, but I'm worried about failing this class, and I really just would like to work on it some more, the teacher doesn't seem to realize I'm struggling so I wanted to do it myself" The bunny kept looking down at the desk, his hair covering his eyes from sight.

"Well, at least you care enough" the cougar said giving a yawn and flipping a book open he had on his desk.

"Would you like to start the lesson or would you care for something to eat so early in the day?" Mr.Y asked.

"Umm, I couldn't ask you for anything sir"

"Alright your choice" the cougar stood up and picked up a marker "We'll start with a history lesson about Pythagoras".

***

The time fluttered by in quick moments for Mr.Y the bunny seemed to pay attention to his every word, every now and then the lapin would sneak his pencil onto blank paper and start to draw something, but when asked what was just said he could repeat it missing only slight unimportant points.

The sun was setting and the bunny stood up and took the books Mr. Y Gave him to study and the cougar held the door open as the student left. A few moments passed afterwards and Mr. Y sat in an arm chair near the door.

"Hmmm, he'll be alright, he just needs a way to pay attention, I think I can ponder up something by tonight" he spoke to himself and looked at the clock which ticked just that moment to six' o' clock. Mr. Y went back into the study room and picked up the papers the rabbit had left. Looking over one of the pages his eyebrow rose, and he looked over the paper. It was a drawing of the cougar's face, not the most amazing drawing, but it wasn't bad. He kept looking over it, and was very astounded to see this, the rabbit was very sweet, possibly one of his first clients in a long time that actually kept pestering him for his name.

It made the feline happy that the rabbit cared enough to ask that.

***

After eating dinner that night, the feline found himself falling to sleep perfectly fine, wrapped into his covers, unclothed, and wet from his shower. The night was chilly but the heat of the home kept him quite warm, and the blankets and sheets even warmer still.

He found himself in a deep alabaster fog, outside the gates of an azure castle, skies filled with depressing sable clouds. He was clothed in royal garbs, with armor plates over his chest, paws, and around his neck, a sword sheathed in a silver case, and handle of gold. He looked around to his left and right, hearing the breathing of many. He turned behind him to see an army of soldiers armored and wielding weapons as if ready to siege the castle. They all had pride in their eyes, and his own heart beat furiously within his chest. He clasped the sword in his sheath and drew it out. It shined brilliantly as it was drawn the sound of metals rubbing together, it sent a ring across the see of soldiers.

The Gate began to rise, and behind it stood soldiers in red armor, and skull helmets ready to fight to the death against the young prince and his army. His heart began to skip beats as he feared the sight of the enemy. The soldiers behind he began to swarm forward covering him and raising shields.

"We will protect you, our prince" Spoke all the soldiers as they raised shields and readied spears. The commanding shield general turned and looked the prince in the eyes and spoke.

"We can get you into the castle and from their it will just be you and your unit, and you know what you must do" The behemoth of a man spoke and turned, as the shield men began to charge forward knocking feeble soldiers out of the way, as a line behind them rushed in using the hole to set up for attack. The young cougar followed behind the lines, readying for any sort of attack upon him. Bodies of enemy and ally alike fell to the ground around the Feline, as he feared but felt within him a deep resolve one that forced his feet to rush towards the castle doors which were opening the behemoth of a man waving him inside. The prince rushed in rain beginning to fall around his soldiers.

The doors closed behind him, no unit to follow him as the man had spoken. The prince found himself staring at the end of the blade of battle, two soldiers clad in red armor barring there canid teeth with eyes as red as demons. His heart beat like a war drum and he pulled his sword close, and then pointed it out forward readying for the attack of the men. One rushed forward with a cry of valor, and swung his broad sword downward. The cougar quickly reacted swinging his sword up to guard against the assault. The other one began to rush forward and the feline forced the heel of his metal boot into the thigh of the canine warrior, the red clad soldier falling over backwards as the other thrust his blade forward.

The cougar spun to the right, the blade just passing him by. He then took his blade and slammed the bottom hilt into the back of the soldiers head, forcing the man to fall to his paws, spitting out blood. The other soldier was beginning to stand as the prince pressed his blade to the soldier's neck, where no armor lay to guard his soul. He struggled no where in his spirit laid the ability to take a life before but; for his goal for which he had no recollection of its meaning; he could do it. The played slid in so softly, so soundly, so perfectly, the enemy giving a painful grunt as blood dripped from his neck where the blade now penetrated and then was pulled forth out of the esophagus.

The prince turned as the other man stood blade raised and eyes glinting with hatred. The cougar could do nothing but shake his head and try his hardest not to cry at his action. The soldier rushed with a warrior's vigor in his steps, shaking the feline's heart. The enemy clasped his blade and struck forward meeting the cougar's edge, the two locked. The soldier pushed forward knocking the prince to his back, his sword dropping beside him. He went to reach for it, but the cold steel pressed against his neck and he went silent staring up at the soldier, his body not shaking and his eyes filled with nothing but hope.

The soldier began to give a twitch a tear rolling from his red eye, and then he dropped his sword, falling to his knees, pulling off his helmet and holding paws up to his eyes, before staring at the corpse of his comrade lying upon the ground. Compassion had saved the Cougar's life which he felt nothing but grateful for as he picked up his blade and stood, looking over the soldier.

"I'm sorry" he said softly "But, thank you".

The man clad in red did not reply, instead he pulled the helmet from the dead warrior, whom had the same face he did, and clasped his body close shaking and crying. The prince looked upon the sight with sadness but pressed on, turning to move down the long empty corridor. It was dark, and only a few torches lit the way, the castle felt more like a dungeon than a place for royalty. He came to large double doors and began to push them open with heart. As they opened, he walked pressed forward, and awoke to the light of day, no longer clothed and covered by bed sheets. His heart thumped and his paws twitched slightly.

The dream so real, so vivid. Mr. Y looked around the room, the morning sky still shed its soft luminescence over the room, and only a single beam of the golden sunlight found its way through a window. He sat up and gave out a breath, looking around his room. He had been for a long while without dreams, and was unsure of what could have started them again. He stood from his bed and stretched and then looked around once more. There was nothing in the room, but he couldn't shake a strange feeling that something was missing from it.

He looked to the clock and found he had awoke an hour earlier than he planned, and yawned. He thought for a moment, his ear gave a twitch, and still thought a little longer. A ring came at his phone and he was shaken almost slipping off his bed before pouncing forward and pulling the receiver to his ear.

"Hello?" He said never expecting calls to come through the phone from real people.

"Hi" Jessie's voice came through the phone like a siren's song and Mr. Y could only blush.

"Oh well hello, Usagi, what can I help you with?"

"I was wondering, do you have any plans for lunch?"

"Do you want to get a jump start?" the cougar was confused the lapin seemed quite unrushed to learn mathematics.

"Not really, I just wanted to get to know you better, and I have no plans and was wondering if perhaps you would-"

"You realize, I can't give you extra credit just because you're being nice"

"No no no!" The bunny seemed frantic to wave the comment off "I just want to have lunch with you"

"Hmmm, o-okay" The cougar was again surprised by the interest "where?"

"I was going to ask you, what you liked to eat".

"Oh...I'm fine with anything really"

"Do you like Chinese?" The bunny asked the question with a sort of glee.

"I do" He replied not noticing the blush on his cheeks.

"There is a place down the street from where you live; can you meet me there at twelve?" The bunny asked.

The cougar nodded, and then realized he was on the phone and said "Of course".

"Oh, why thank you!" the bunny seemed to remove the receiver hoping to muffle a squeal, for what reason the cougar did not know, but he had found Mr. Usagi to be quite energetic.

"No no, thank you" Mr. Y said.

"Anyways I have to go get dressed I'll meet you there, please don't be fashionably late" The bunny asked.

"No, I'll be there a minute till" the cougar smiled.

"Alright, good bye"

"Goodbye"

He placed the phone down and took in a deep breathe and after it was released he wished he could somehow do a back flip. He scampered across the floor frantically and honestly with no real reason to be so rushed, with four hours, he stopped at the edge of his room jumped into the air and spun, landing on his paws again, he felt himself so excited.

"A date!" He was so happy "No one has ever asked me on a date!"

***

He came from the shower dripping wet, and had cleaned himself twice, groomed himself and tidied his hair. During the shower he had heard a siren ringing nearby, and it had confused him why it had been so loud. He was having trouble deciding an outfit, and cursed himself for never asking the lapin lilac what its favorite color was, and simply decided to choose neutral tones just incase he had a preference to cooler or summery tones, but then decided neutral would make him seem boring, and the colors can be oppressive. He fell onto his bed naked and sighed, placing a paw over his heart.

"Calm yourself" he said in an excited tone "upon reflection...he didn't even say date..."

Outside the day was quite beautiful, blue jays and red robins flew through the air, as the soft temperate breeze moved around, and the glass buildings in the city shined. The city was known for its shimmering buildings of sky blue glass, when needed a type of solid curtain could close in any one of the glass panes and work as a wall, but the natural light was actually good for work ethic and most if not all were quite productive. Only the businesses were like this but there were plenty around, the college kept an old kind of feeling, its form was quite modern but the inside stayed unchanged. Out to the eastern side of the city was the rural part, the country side had many farms and small residential zones scattered. Birds chirped away and the entire day was as amazing as could be.

Mr. Y was still happy for this day, and then he shook his head convincing himself to seek romantics with a student was entirely wrong. He shivered and looked out the window, watching a couple holding paws walking down the sidewalk. The woman tripped and fell onto her paws, and the man offering her his paw, pulled her up into a loving embrace. The cougar watched with an attentive eye, his entire life he begged for such love to fall upon him. The cougar was standing up and decided to get a start perhaps even buy a gift, if he had enough time.

He went for the door handle and a rough rap came upon his door. He was startled by this and opened the door very slowly. Behind it was what would have to be the most towering, Robust, and Ironbound furs ever to walk upon the planet. He looked down through the doorway at Mr.Y with a face that would make demons cry out in fear, and angels forget all man deserves love. He was a gorilla, and a very powerful, frightening gorilla at that. He wore a long leather coat and had on a fedora it was. He opened his mouth and the cougar expected the ground of his flat to begin shaking and this is what he heard as the large man pulled forth a badge showing it to Mr. Y.

"I am Detective Lemar, I have to ask you a few questions pertaining to a murder which happened in the apartment next to yours, I hope that you will help in our investigation" The gorilla spoke as if expecting to have to use his gargantuan fists upon the small feline just for the sake of being able to use them over the gun; the cougar noticed; holstered on his left side. The cougar looked at the clock and gave a sigh, reading eleven on the dot and nodded.

"I would be more than happy to answer your questions" the cougar said rubbing a paw over the side of his face and stepping back inviting the detective in.

The large man had to lean down whilst in the apartment and looked around suspiciously over the apartment innards. There was nothing he could possibly find in this very clean place, which seemed to frustrate the gorilla that still seemed like he wanted to use his mammoth fists.

The cougar had understood quickly what this man needed and held a paw near his couch.

"Would you like to sit?" The cougar insisted looking at this man's struggle to not rise in altitude and smash his head through the ceiling.

"Why yes" The gorilla seemed happy for a change at the offer and sat, his head now just inches from the ceiling as he pulled a pad and pen from his jacket pocket and looked towards the cougar once more with a serious gaze.

The cougar sat in a chair parallel which was normally for his students.

"Mrs. Kara Widger, your next door neighbor was found this morning with bruises covering her body, and a knife in her back" The gorilla stated so matter of factly it almost chilled the cougars veins "Do you have any knowledge of this?"

The cougar was caught of guard to hear that. Kara was quite nice whenever he met her but was very antisocial and stayed to herself save for a white male cat she allowed in every night, around the time the cougar would come back from grocery shopping. His face was one of surprise and unexpectedness that could not be faked by practice or simple denial.

"I did not" The cougar said sitting up in the chair. The gorilla seemed to not just note his words but his reactions; this was obviously no normal detective.

"How well did you know the victim?"

"Not very well" Mr. Y placed a paw upon his cheek thinking of anything he could tell the detective "She was a well enough girl, she never was loud, she kept to herself a lot, she only seemed to leave her apartment to get her mail, and she had groceries delivered and left at her doorstep, where she picked them up".

"Did she ever talk to you about anything?"

"No" The cougar shook his head "we said hellos every now and then if I passed by while she was getting groceries".

"Had she ever let you in her apartment?"

"No, she was very Mesophobic, when I offered to help her with groceries she would pull away and shake her head saying "no thanks" The cougar thought for a moment. The gorilla took this information in as if it had some ground breaking turn in information and looked at the cougar with the most piercing gaze ever did anyone see, even the darkest of knights would feel his body give a twitch away from such a peer.

"Did you kill Mrs. Kara Widger?"

"No" The cougar said.

"And what were you doing between the hours of 10 and 11:15"

"I was taking a shower, and planning an outfit for a date" The cougar said.

"Did you hear or see anything out of the ordinary?"

The cougar thought and shook his head then his ears perked and he gave a nod.

"Yes, actually..." He said pausing for just a moment "A white cat had knocked on her door early this morning while I was on the phone, this cat normally came around 7pm on Thursdays, but he came today too".

"A white cat you say?" the gorilla nodded "Is that all?"

"No" The cougar said and looked at the clock, reading 11:15 now "I have a date, I wouldn't figure I could be on my way?"

"I've asked all my questions"

"Great!" The cougar said beginning to walk for the door before the large hand of the gorilla stopped him by pressing against his chest and almost making the cougar stumble.

"No" the gorilla shook his head "There is a team coming to search each apartment, and the residents who are here now, are to stay around until all of the rooms have been searched"

"What?" The cougar was beginning to get aggravated.

"I'm sorry but this is a very large ordeal"

"I don't see why"

"Mrs. Kara Widger, is the presidents daughter, her real name is Kimberly Witacker" The gorilla looked around once more and stood stopping himself just before bumping his head on the ceiling "She was in the witness protection program because she received letters about assassinations to be attempted on her".

The name that came from the man's mouth was not unknown to the people Kimberly was the one who was making a lot of speeches about equal rights to all furs. She spoke on a lot of things including equal job opportunities for males and females, and the rights of homosexual lovers and marriages.

"Can I at least make a call?"

"I'm afraid not" the prime ape shook his head "it will be over within an hour".

"I don't have an hour" The cougar insisted.

***

The time was 11:55, and the investigation was over, and the cougar's house was trashed. He was annoyed but had no time, as the officers began to leave the apartment, and the feline began walking around the street corner, and then began to break out into a run, his heart thumping. The sun was high in the sky and floods of people seemed to be on the streets, had the cougar paid better attention he would know at this very moment, a parade was coming down the very street he needed to pass or be extremely late. The large floats seemed to be moving around and people dancing around in there sequined outfits, and others dressed in odd middle eastern outfits, twirling fire torches and throwing them about.

Tyler continued to run, bumping into people and knocking them down as he pressed through, his heart was steeled and he'd have fought that gorilla if it meant he wouldn't be late; though the obvious idea that he would no doubt be defeated had he, did not stop the idea from being a possibility.

"I'm sorry" he shouted out to all the people he knocked down, and then found the parade float between him and the alley way, the float had no intention of moving, so the cougar with the most whimsy he had ever found within himself, climbed atop the float, two large lions went to grab for him and he ducked running across t he lengthy floor, and jumped into the alleyway, his entire body feeling invincible at the time, as he rushed down with the speed of his most ancient feral ancestors.

He came around the corner and could see the shop, he had no idea in his head what the time would be and saw a rabbit in the crowd of people leaving the restaurant, he skid to stop as he saw the two floppy ears; and that's all he saw from the large crowd; moving away, and placed his head on the wall of the shop, and slammed his paw into the wall. He felt himself ready to cry and then felt a tap on his shoulder, his ears tweaked and with a bit of agitation not much caring for what anyone had to say, he turned and said.

"What do y-" he was stopped not by any force of the person except that the person was the beautiful white rabbit he had thought he saw leave, and his heart almost swelled. The long hair was hanging down to his lower back, and his big pink eyes stared at the cougar with such joy. He was wearing a white tank top, and very short denim shorts. The bunny was sweating but seemed very happy to be there.

"I thought you said a minute till" the lapin had such a sweet smile.

"I'm sorry it's just that-"

"You're two minutes early" the rabbit giggled and the cougar was taken by surprise and began to blush. The cougar played it all through his head and knew well that walking the same path without any congestion of furs took at least fifteen minutes, and rather than rethink it he smiled to the bunny.

"I like to be punctual" The cougar shrugged and the rabbit seemed to smile with the answer "Now how about we get a table, you must be tired after that walk".

"Oh, I'm fine" The rabbit blushed "I left early, but this darn parade almost made me late".

"Oh, I know I had forgotten all about it".

"Let's go in" the rabbit offered, allowing the feline to take the lead and Mr.Y gave a soft nod.

They found themselves in a seat after a few moments and there orders had already been placed, and it was being prepared as they sat parallel to each other.

"I had the strangest dream" the cougar said softly looking straight at the rabbit.

"Oh?" the lapin seemed curious.

"I dreamt, about a war, I would say it probably had to do with my ancestry" The cougar paused for a moment and looked at the rabbit.

"Ancestry?" The rabbit tilted its head and its floppy ears fell to one side as it did so.

"I am descendant to royalty, though not the normal royalty, this is far far back, back when Cleopatra and her three were in control of the realm as it was" Mr. Y paused then continued "My family had control over the western most area, which is today known as western Europe. When the battles between Larcia; my families territory; and Ixom; would be today known as Russia and a portion of china, came to an end, a few years after, my ancestor, decided he wished to give up the throne, and the people adopted a republic, this was two years after the death of Cleopatra"

"S-so you're royalty?" The bunny said with a bit of shock but no disbelief.

"Not quite" The cougar laughed "My ancestor gave up the throne because he could not share it with the one he loved?"

"Why?" The bunny asked curiously.

"He was a prince, and to become a king and continue the monarchy the person would had to have been a princess" Mr.Y noticed the bunny staring into his eyes "however it was a commoner, is what history states, though there are beliefs it was a fur from Ixom, and this irritated the high council".

"But he was a prince!" the bunny seemed a little shocked by the story "He should have had a choice of whoever he wanted to marry; it's not right at all".

"Oh calm down" the cougar gave a laugh "not everyone used reason back then, the monarchy in general wasn't reasonable, the original choice for the line was not because of intellect, but military prowess the other three had there fore Cleopatra gave them the land, it was mere coincidence that they became fair and just rulers, though still war like".

"Why were Ixom and Larcia at war?"

"Ixom's Czar, was not of the alliance formed by Cleopatra, and when ordered to give up supplies to aid a unit who had gotten caught in there tundra he gave a famous quote "you may ask, or even beg my men for aid, but you do not order those you do not control, my people are free and for whatever I can, I give them freedom of choice" Mr. Y paused and smiled "now come on, you are not interested in this history lesson are you?"

"It's part of your history" Jessica stated "and it's nice hearing you talk"

"Ah" The cougar blushed a little "what about you? Where does your family hail? Any amazing ancestry?"

"I'm not really even sure" He gave a smile "I know my mother's side is Native, as in the old tribal furs, and my Father's is European though we don't know where to draw it back to".

"Usagi is Japanese"

"I know, but that's not my real last name" The bunny blushed.

"Why would you adopt a last name?"

"Because I don't find the name "Hogan" fitting to well with the name Jessica, and I want to be a writer a name like Usagi, catches attention" The rabbit seemed so happy to explain it.

"I see" Mr. Y nods softly, feeling the bunnies foot come near his and then draw back quickly and the lapin began to blush.

"So what is it you want to do after college?"

"I want to be a writer"

"What kind?"

"Fantasy" The Bunny giggled "I love knight in shining armor stories".

"Is that why my ancestry interested you?"

"It's always nice to be able to say I ate lunch with a prince" He giggled again and blushed once more.

"Oh? So you can say you dated a prince huh?" No sooner did the words fall forth from Tyler's mouth did he wish to take his paws capture the words in the air as sound and pull them away from Jessica's big floppy ears, and stuff them back in his mouth.

The bunny paused for a second and the white fur was soon flushing red.

"I would most definitely say that one" With the bunnies words gracing the felines ears it was as if all had been calmed and a storm vanished into thin air. There was a calm silence between them for just a moment, in which the cougar's heart was fluttering around, more than likely away from the swarm of butterflies which found themselves, as an armada trapped in the confines of his stomach.

Quite a few moments passed they had already finished the food they had ordered and were still chatting with one another as happy as can be, each refusing the others offer to leave. The sun was beginning to fall from the sky and that red mist which would hang in the sky would in their minds have to linger for them to have enough time.

The two were laughing with such joy in there hearts, and at one moment the cougar's face had found itself beat red, as the paw of the bunny landed atop of it and he stared into those little pink lapin eyes. They sat there and once more a silence came upon them, this one had no awkwardness or weight to it, but it was a moment for speaking without words, they stared into the brilliant pools of each others eyes, trapped in an infinitum. The vacuums of the other's mind constantly pulling at them, threatening there very independent existence. There hearts beat and fluttered and there minds could hear nothing but the sweet melody similar to an Allegro, such beauty was it, that they had found.

At this moment all fears were gone but one, the fear that soon they were to part, and this is what kept them silent, as one paw lay upon the other, and then a sigh came from the cougar, as he steeled his soul to ask a question, as if readying himself for the gallows.

"How would you like to come over to my place for a bit?" He asked as he knew it was perhaps too quick or soon to ask and found a way to quickly cover "and I can give you a ride home."

"That would be great" the bunny blushed and looked outside "I-I don't like walking around when the sun goes down".

"I very much understand" Mr.Y nodded "we can talk, have something to drink, and then I will take you home".

They soon left the small restaurant, and were walking down the street which was now littered despicably with garbage, and half eaten food items. The cougar had not noticed this, as every moment he was staring over the blonde haired beauty who gave his body chills. Without the Cougar's knowledge this little bunny had been sneaking looks at the feline as well. Had the Cougar been just slightly closer the quivering breathes of the Rabbit would be oh so very obvious to read.

"You said you want to be a writer?" The cougar managed to ask to break there silence and on the plus side, give him a sight of those big beautiful eyes.

"I do" the bunny said with a timid face.

"I want to as well" His teacher said "I am working on something actually".

"Oh?" The bunny asked "What?"

"I want to make a story about my ancestors" The cougar blushed "A fantasy, with magic, and romance".

"It sounds like a beautiful idea, which you have"

"You mean it? It's a dying Genre for literature".

"I mean it"

The city streets had grown dark as Mr.Y and Jessica were nearing his apartment. The city was admittedly beautiful at night, because of the solemn presence it held, few people lived around this area of the city that went out at night. They found there way into his apartment, and the cougar offered a chair to the bunny.

"Feels a bit different coming in here to learn about you and not math"

"Learn about me?"

"Mhmm, a-and to-"

The cougar paused to hear this and his mind began to wonder all about any possibility of the next word. All he seemed to expect was heart break. He sat down parallel to the creature and continued to look upon him.

"Well I wanted-"

"..." The cougar opened his maw to speak but found no words to send out.

"I wanted very much to-" now the cougar could notice the quivering breathes, and the bunny bit his lower lip softly "I would very much like...to go out with you again". The Feline was caught once again by surprise this day, and stared at the bunny with a gaze of questions and his mouth agape.

The word was so full of splendor for this feline, and he felt his life had never truly begun until those words were uttered. Many unspeakable things haunted his past, and many have come and gone speaking the same words, but inside his heart, this felt so very different, felt more meaningful. He was nervous, and scared, but most of all, he was euphoric. Never had such happiness graced his mind with its profound presence, and never had he thought such a sweet nymph could find its way into his heart.
