#3 of Tera does weird things to Jason.

Another gift for Teradyne. I had an idea of a story where shi met Blizzi and Abroms and figured out just who they were. At least before they came to the hideaway.

While this is in the folder "Tera does weird things to Jason", Jason does not appear, is only implied at.

For the record, Blizzi and Abroms are genderless - they speak human languages, but they don't want to say where they learned them. Most would assume that Blizzi was abused by humans in some way, and that was how Abroms came about - resenting their irrational fears of humans, as well as the fact that Abroms only likes plants and some people. (Lenne and Tera can control Abroms. :P Normally Abroms will see someone and try to turn them into a plant.)

The prism dragon got closer and closer to the thick evergreen forest. Allegedly, people had gone missing in this forest. A few people had entered the forest and claimed they saw some kind of a demonic Pokémon before they escaped. Not one to skip out on investigating with the possibility of meeting another Pokémon, Tera decided to explore anyways. That and there was apparently somebody else who had gone missing recently, they went into the forest and didn't return.

Thankfully for hir it wasn't going to be very cold. Relatively speaking, that was. There wasn't a blizzard going on at all, or a pesky hailstorm. If that were the case, shi would have turned hirself into an ice type or a plushie that would not be affected by the cold.

It actually seemed to get darker and darker, yet Tera checked hir phone. It was still eleven in the morning, yet it looked almost like the sun was setting. Shi looked up at the trees surrounding her. This was one of the thickest forests that shi had ever seen, and also one of the quietest. Suddenly, hir thoughts went to something else that existed in another world somewhere.

Hir mind went to something shi had seen before, the Aokigahara forest. It was one of the most morbid things that one could ever imagine - a forest with eerie silence, and where one might come across a dead body. A shiver traveled up the prism dragon's spine, a smaller one all the way down hir tail.

Slowly hir eyes rolled over to one of the small beams of light that had penetrated the thick canopy. There was a lump of snow on the ground. Tera slowly walked towards the lump of snow on the ground and reached out to brush it off. With that forest on the mind, shi was afraid of what was underneath.

Thankfully for hir, it wasn't a human skull - or the corpse of someone else. It was a root that had protruded from the ground. Relieved, shi continued on further into the forest. Shi was much relieved that it wasn't too dark that shi didn't need a flashlight.

The further Tera got into the forest, the more encouraged shi felt to look over some of the trees. They all looked to be some kind of a pine or a spruce. (Shi wasn't entirely one to identify these kinds of trees - shi made a mental note to ask somebody else how to identify evergreen trees.) All of them were quite huge. Tera thought a few things were a little odd - the smallest tree shi saw was only a little taller than shi was, and the trunks were always about as wide as the average human. Some of the trunks shi noticed had some odd deformities on them, at least, the ones shi could see.

"...That's odd." Tera said out loud as shi looked over one tree. "It looks like there's a small nose on this. I saw something like this earlier."

Of course, it just looked to be a wedge-shaped anomaly in the bark. But rather odd that shi would find several deformities like this. Tera continued to walk further into the forest. Finally, shi spotted something bright. It looked to be a clearing. Shi walked into the clearing and looked around. Interesting, why would there be some kind of a clearing within the forest?

Shi nearly jumped when there was a small noise nearby. Tera looked towards the noise... and right there shi saw some movement. It looked to be a small Snover. It immediately ducked behind a tree trunk as soon as it noticed Tera. That was odd, normally Snover were quite curious about humans. Maybe it was just afraid because Tera wasn't entirely human.

Tera walked close to the tree where the Snover was hiding and held hir hand out.

"I'm not gonna hurt you." Shi said. "You can come on out."

Tera noticed the Snover peeking out from behind the tree. It stared at hir hand for a few moments before finally starting to move towards hir hand. Its root-feet crinkled under the snow as it moved. Eventually, the meter-tall Snover made it over to Tera's hand and looked over it, then at hir.

"I won't do anything to you." Shi said.

"Y-What are you?"

The Snover actually spoke! Tera wasn't too surprised. Maybe it was a rogue morph. Snover morphs weren't that different than the actual mon itself, but they weren't normally that small.

"I'm a Prism Dragon. My name is Tera." Shi said. "What is your name?"

"We are named Blizzi." The Snover said. "Wh...what are you doing in the forest?"

"I came to investigate this forest. I hear that people have gone missing here."

Blizzi backed up a little.

"Uh... We know what happened. They must have run into... Abroms."

"Abroms? Who're they?"

"They are... They don't like humans. They only like trees."

"Oh, well, you don't need to be afraid."

"Really?" The snover asked.

"Of course. I would never hurt a Pokémon."

"G-Good." The Blizzi walked over to Tera, "We're a little afraid of humans... and you might be different."

"Really? Were you..."

"We don't like to speak about it." Blizzi said.

"Alright. So, tell me about yourself."

The Snover nodded a little and walked into the clearing. Tera watched over the Snover as it stood in the centre of the clearing, and seemed to stand in place. Its feet immediately extended, piercing the cover of snow and nearing the grown. Blizzi let out a little sigh as they let nutrients from the soil flow into its body, enjoying the sunshine.

Tera walked over to Blizzi and sat down in front of them. Blizzi looked up at Tera, still a bit confused. But at least Tera could tell one thing - they weren't afraid. Tera smiled to show how shi wasn't there to hurt them at all. Shi even held hir hand out once more.

"So, Blizzi. Who exactly are you?"

"We're Blizzi." The Snover responded, placing its branchy hand in Tera's own. "We simply live in the forest."

"Have you seen any others in here?" Tera asked. "Or are they just Abroms?"

Blizzi actually shivered - unusual for an ice type.

"Uh... Abroms... doesn't like humans and... Abroms made the forest big. So we can be safe from them."

"Really?" Tera asked. "Abroms sounds powerful. I'd like to meet him sometime - or her. Or hir."

"What's 'him'?" Blizzi asked.

"Him? Uh... what do you mean?"

"What do those words mean? Him, her."

"Well," Tera explained, "'Her' is used to refer to females. And him is used to refer to males."

"Females? Males? What are those?"

"Your gender. Sometimes you can be a herm, like myself." Shi said, gesturing to her own body.

"What's a 'gender'?"

"Are you genderless?" Tera asked.

"We think so. Abroms tells me that humans are weird because they have these... never mind. Do you have those? No."

"Oh, it's a little hard to explain." Tera said, sweatdropping. The sweatdrop immediately froze and fell to the ground with a small noise.

"We've never really the forest in awhile... ever since we met Abroms the first time. You're actually the first person we've spoken to who wasn't a plant."

"Really? I can actually take you to where there are a lot more plants. More than just these." Tera gestured to the trees.

"There are more? More than the icy plants and trees?"

"Oh yes." Tera nodded. "And I know you won't need to worry about melting." Shi patted him. Blizzi actually leaned into the patting.

"G-good... We still like the silence though."

"Oh, trust me." Tera said.

Before Blizzi could respond, its eyes suddenly widened. Tera looked down at the Snover's root-feet as they pulled out of the ground.

"T-Tera! Run! I absorbed too much!"

There was a small rustling noise coming from Blizzi. Tera stood back up, spotting the Snover suddenly start to swell a little. The rustling eventually turned into a creaking sound, like wood bending.

"What's happening?" Tera asked.

"Run!" Blizzi said, "Abroms is coming!"

Tera was too intrigued to run. The Snover started to grow, as if inflated with something. Its "trunk" seemed to vanish as it was covered by white. Its root-feet turned green, its wooden tail taking a similar hue. It grew to over double its original size, over two meters tall. Tera immediately identified the face and the tassles.... Blizzi just evolved into an Abomasnow.

"Oh wow." Tera said, looking up at the creature.

Suddenly a grin spread across the tree-creature's face. Before Tera could react, its large limbs darted out and grabbed the prism dragon, folding hir wings right against hir body. Shi was lifted right off her feet and placed against the Abomasnow's cold body.

"GAGH! Bl-Blizzi? What are you doing?"

"We're Abroms now." The Abomasnow said, carrying Tera to the edge of the clearing. Its voice was much much deeper than Blizzi's was. Tera knew not to struggle a little bit.

"Blizz-I mean, Abroms, what exactly are you doing?"

The Abomasnow didn't answer her. It simply placed hir down on her feet, but didn't let hir escape its embrace. Suddenly, Tera felt something odd at her back, where Abroms's 'fingers' touched. It felt like the fingers somehow poked into her skin... yet it didn't hurt.

"Are those haustoria?" Tera asked.

Abroms didn't respond. Tera wondered if shi was going to wind up fused to Abroms or absorbed into him. That could have explained what happened to the people in here! Tera tried to kick the creature right in the crotch - even if it likely didn't have any sensitive bits.

Yet hir feet didn't move. Tera tried harder and harder, yet her feet remained stuck to the ground. Suddenly hir toe muscles seemed to cramp. They folded against hir body a little bit, before finally they extended fully, pressing against the ground. Then they seemed to press into the ground.

Once again, Tera tried to pull hir feet out of the ground, only they were once again stuck. Hir eyes widened all of a sudden, as her ankles and knees started to feel stiff. That's what happened! They were turning hir into a tree!

Tera quickly prepared hir own mana to try and alter the arborification. Shi wanted to be able to go home after this, and it was very hard to do so if you were a tree! Hir legs started to thicken immensely, more "toes" forming from the back of her "feet" as they hardened into stumps. Hir knees locked into place, but thanks to Tera's counterspell, they wouldn't stay that way for long.

Finally, the haustoria were pulled out of Tera's back, as shi was turned into wood from the waist down. Abroms stepped back and watched over her, rough ridges of bark forming across the outer layers of Tera's new skin. Hir tail had by this point dug into the ground at the tip, sending nutrients flowing through hir body.

While shi still had hands, shi reached behind to where shi felt the penetrative roots enter hir body. Strangely enough, shi did not feel any wounds; only rough patches of bark and wood. Hir wings folded against hir as the wood coated them up, nice hard wood forming around hir body. Shi managed to pull her arms out of the wings, as the arborification continued. As soon as it reached hir chest, hir heart stopped beating, and her lungs stopped. The only thing keeping hir alive right now had to have been Abroms's own mana, as well as hir own.

Then, with an uncontrollable motion, Tera's arms snapped up into a "y" formation. Her hands practically splayed out straight, going stiff with wood. Tera glanced over at hir fingers as green needles erupted from them. Twigs, of course, evergreen.

For a brief moment, time slowed down as her neck locked in place with wood. Tera looked over at the other trees in the forest, then at Abroms. Abroms continued to watch her with a wide grin on their face - a grin of anticipation. They wanted to see Tera turned into a plant. This process fascinated them. This must have been what Blizzi meant by Abroms 'creating' the forest... those trees were people. People who had been turned into trees so long, there would have been no way to turn them back.

Tera had a plan assembled quick - shi wouldn't lose consciousness like some of those humans-turned-plants probably did. Shi wouldn't even lose movement. Thankfully for hir sho had been able to counter Abroms's magic enough to keep hir from becoming just like the rest. The wood seemed to cover hir head like a cast, completely closing hir mouth. Until that was, a small seam opened up, allowing hir to speak magically.

Tera felt hir ear fins vanishing from a thick membrane to two twigs, covered in needles. Hir own horns likewise erupted in these needles, as some more emerged from hir head. Shi felt hir tough eyelids moving again - good, it succeeded. Shi could still speak, see, and in general, remain animate. But first, shi wanted to see what Abroms would do.

"You are our most unique tree." Shi heard the abomasnow say. "We shall keep you in the clearing. Where you can grow big and tall."

Suddenly, Tera felt its body against hir own. Its arms were brought around hir trunky back, hugging it. Thankfully, shi didn't feel its haustoria penetrating hir back. Tera was just as stiff as a board as the creature continued to caress hir.

"They all enjoy it... they all love it. Plants are so much better!" Abroms said to Tera.

Its cold body moved away from hir... as Tera started to feel something around hir crotch. This alerted hir, as Shi opened up hir eyelids.

"Excuse me?" Tera said, her own voice sounding somewhat hollow and echoey.

Abroms looked right back at hir, their 'hand' placed right at Tera's crotch. They pulled their hand away, blinking. They were confused. It must have been the first time that they have ever seen someone they turned into a plant looking back at them - and even speaking. They pulled their hand away, still surprised.

"I hope you weren't doing what I think you were." Tera said.

"N-No. We have noticed that most keep that area hidden - and humans react oddly when you rub over it. We thought humans enjoyed it if they still felt that when they were turned into trees."

"Well, allow me to explain... Trust me, I do have a lot of time to get to know both of you."

Abroms seemed to calm down a little as Tera spoke to them. Apparently Abroms only enjoyed the company of plants. Tera deduced a theory that maybe the Snover had developed an alternate personality as a result of something. (Shi didn't want to ask - even Abroms didn't mention why they liked to turn humans into trees. Shi assumed it might have been like the Skylander Tree Rex.) After a little while, Abroms seemed to blink and then start de-evolving back into a Snover. As soon as the Snover looked over Tera, Blizzi immediately apologized for having done that.

Of course shi reassured Blizzi that it wasn't a problem - shi kept Abroms from turning hir completely into a tree unable to even think. In fact, shi even sort of enjoyed that state. Shi had to remember to try and turn it into a card later on. Blizzi and Abroms seemed to enjoy Tera's company even more as shi stayed there.

Shi even figured out exactly what it was that was behind Blizzi's split personality - more or less, how they changed into Abroms. Whenever Blizzi stayed rooted for too long, they would evolve and become Abroms. Abroms mentioned that would oten happen if a human tried to harm them, or tried to hurt a tree. (In fact, Abroms even mentioned how a crew of lumberjacks came into the forest, and all of which became forest too. It certainly explained why there were some seemingly human features on the trees.

Tera could have slept for days if shi wanted to. It was almost eerily silent though - but shi would get used to it. Apparently, that was something else Blizzi liked to do, sort of sleep. Tera also tried to listen in to see if any of the trees were aware. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately for them, they had long gotten used to. Shi remembered one thing about arborification from one of her friends. Apparently if one was turned into a tree, and stayed that way for long, it'd become permanent. Shi even wondered what would happen if they met Abroms... then again Abroms mentioned about what they would do to some humans after they turned into trees to make them stay that way, so maybe he wouldn't.

Tera tried to keep track of time as hard as shi could. Hir phone battery died a little while ago, and shi couldn't tell. That, and shi couldn't exactly see it. Sooner or later, the time had to come to leave. But shi didn't want to just leave the strange plant Pokémon here by themselves .

"Say, I have a suggestion." Tera said to Blizzi one day.

"What is it?" The snover asked.

"I think I may have a nice home for you in the hideaway. You can see other kinds of plants - and I know Abroms likes them just as much."

"Really? You're inviting us to live there, after what Abroms did?"

"Of course." Tera said, "Just let me get ready."

Shi looked down at her feet, still rooted to the ground. Shi hadn't moved in what must have been weeks. (Tera made a note to instruct Blizzi and Abroms what periods of time such as a 'week', a 'month', and a 'year' were.) Tera tried to bend hir 'knee' to raise her trunklike feet out of the ground.

Thankfully, it moved, although shi felt her roots retracting just a little bit, sending a creaking noise throughout the clearing. Blizzi watched, intrigued, as Tera continued to move. Shi didn't even have muscles - if shi had been standing in place for weeks as an organic, shi'd be so sore right about now. Tera took a few experimental steps, even creaking her limb-like arms around.

"We're sorry that Abroms turned you into a tree."

"It's no problem." Tera said, "Just let me get ready so I can get back home into the greenhouse. I know you will love it there. In fact, I think you may have given me an idea for something."

"What is that?" Blizzi asked.

"I have a friend, I think he'll enjoy getting quite hands on with plants. Of course... first things first. I have to explain this whole evergreen thing to the others."

With that, Tera picked up her dead cell phone in a woody and needle-covered hand, then lead the Snover out of the forest, back to the hideaway.
