Several people throughout the room carry on conversations until the lights dim. The room is now dark and nearly quiet as a couple continues to talk. Two canines, a man and a woman sit next to each other. His arm slides off the arm rest installed between the two of them. His hand now lies on her thigh, gently rubbing. The man gets up and is as courteous as possible to the other movie viewers. He stays low and hunkered down as he makes his way out of the theater, missing the remainder of the criminal preview. By the time he returns with a soda and small popcorn there appears to be a romantic chick flick on, one that his girl seems too pissed to care to enjoy. As he sits back down he sighs and looks at her. He sees that he has really made her mad doing something she was not into. So to give her space, but show he was caring he takes her slightly resistant hand and brings it to his lips. He plants a kiss on it, and then rubs it with his thumb. It was something he had picked up from many years of being forced to watch romantic films. He lets it go, and lets her stew in what little anger she still has. As the chick flick ended the man spilled a little popcorn, even seemed to fuss with it a little.
The girl was not as angry by the time the thriller preview came on, one starring an often famous bald headed man of action. No longer pent up she looks at the man next to her and leans over to give him a similar peck on the check. She smiles to his and takes a handful of the offered popcorn resting in his lap. A few handfuls later she finds something obscure in the bag of popcorn. It is slick and soft but firm and as far as she can tell through exploration runs to the bottom of the bag. From the first touch of this weird object the man gave soft sighs. She may have been a blonde haired canine, but she was only part blonde from being so dirty.. It didn't take long for her to figure out what it was and she knew if she had taken any longer the man next to her would give her a lot of shit later that evening.
