Chapter One.
"Welcome, Visitor!" She hated that sound, but it was the closest thing ever she'd heard to something... Human. Its monotone high pitched shrill touched the dark clouds around through the ruins of this city. Crumbled underneath was the sight of its dust, filling around much like fog or sand in a desert's storm. Sarin was her name, a hybrid from wolf and coyote heritage. She'd never liked it but when times got desperate, this was what her ancestors were forced to comply with, especially in the time of great fires. Sarin was always peculiar, different than her pack. She loved the sight of the human remnants that the forests took back and that the land leveled off. Here a monitor glowed with a dim fluorescent light, showing pictures of the cities great sights and countryside. Her paws felt around in the earth, clawing with a light touch only to feel the solid rock underneath the dirt below her. Out of it all, Sarin could never learn what it was, but it was perfect in size and width and they spanned across the city. On and under whatever bridges still stood, between the tall metal frames of standing towers and apartments. Like pathways through the forests her pack lived in, the mountainside. Yet out of the paradise they had, none like the dead lands beyond their home; there was a single problem. 'I hate that pack!' She thought festered, the idea as Sarin tackled at the floating monitor screen, only to get the same noting sound that always came along. "Please civilian watch your step, I will gladly stand aside for you." Whatever a civilian was it sounded much more appreciative then runt or Colf; whatever in the hell that meant. A patter of steps came from behind her and she snapped back only to meet with a dark-blue furred figure. "Fuck you!" Kiro jumped to that, although he was the size of any alpha's son, his eyes were a bright blue. Clearly a sign he wasn't all wolf. He was quick to stand down and avoided fights, yet he protected Sarin and the pack like they were his own. "I- I'm sorry Sarin, I didn't mean to scare you." She sighed shortly after passing a growl. His paw was up to her, almost meeting on her forehead. For whatever reason Sarin knew she couldn't stay mad at him. Sighing she said "No. I'm sorry I'm just -" Cutting off her eyes led her to her paws, which fumbled against each other nervously. "I know" Kiro replied. "The pack here is large Sarin and -" "And filled with nothing more than pureblood pricks!" She barked out again, and his paw went back to her forehead. It oddly calmed her down. Maybe it's the thought that I'm actually being feared? She knew that thought was foolish. "Sarin. It's time now, you know what they do if you can't find a mate by the end of today."
"I'm not even old enough for one!" She felt childish saying that; of course she was old enough to choose one. "That excuse won't work now." Kiro stated to her. "You're a year older, why don't you have one?" He almost looked pissed from her saying that. Sarin stood down quickly, she'd never actually pissed him off before, and when he got mad all hell breaks loose. "Because I failed" He growled out and Sarin whimpered in return. "I can do nothing more than protect this pack. Yet you will be thrown out of it, that's what they do to females." Lying down, he backed off, letting Sarin stand up once more. "I don't have anyone to choose, and nobody wants to choose me. I've already tried everyone I thought who would." Kiro mumbled something and looked around briefly for a moment. A shrill of a sound came through the skies. His ears perked towards it. "What is it Kiro?" Sarin felt her heart race. It was paradise, almost. With the human's odd living machines; some snapped and started killing everything in sight. They fly around every now and then terrorizing whatever is left. "It sounds like one of those things." Kiro whispered. "It's coming this way." The sound; shrill with a light patter of wind, they had no wings, no legs, or arms. They'd just hover like a hummingbird and spit fire when they started to cry out. Nothing like any animal in the forest, it would just kill anything and everything. No need for food or water, and no matter how quiet are they can find anything. Soon it came into view, a little black dot with static calling out. Faint sounds from the odd figure came to ear. Sarin listened closely, from hiding at first before getting closer towards it. Barking came from behind her "Sarin!" Kiro called out "Get back here!" Shortly pressing on, the device snapped to her and she froze in place. "Stories, news, maps, and tour guides." It spoke with any machines voice. "Aha!" She stopped again, looking at the odd little box that hovered around her. "A visitor has come to listen, and what stories shall I tell you child?" The voice changed, it sounded real and Sarin's tail wagged in excitement. With Kiro popping up to her, she whispered in her ear.
"Are you mad!?Those things kill us!" Sarin giggled "Not all machines are evil Kiro." He glared at her. "You should be back home, to the forest." "Well I figured since I'm old enough to choose a mate, I am also old enough to make my own choices." "Aha!" Kiro jumped and growled at the small box that came to him. "You must be this little one's father! I do apologize for not finding you sooner." Kiro looked at Sarin, and then to the machine with a tilted head. "Are you sure this thing is safe Sarin?" Sarin laughed a little more. "The machines went a little funny after the humans left." "I know that part!" The little box flew around them, speaking and chattering like a morning-bird. "These things usually attack us!" "Well these things Kiro are fun to listen to." Kiro looked back at the flying box. "Just bark at it, they usually respond differently each time." Kiro looked uneasy although Sarin only looked at him with a small smirk. What a big puppy! She thought to herself, won't even bark at a machine. Shortly she positioned herself behind him and barked out at the box. It made Kiro jump and she almost fell back laughing.
"I am sorry." The machine started. "Did you say radio or news?" With a vivid curiosity Sarin walked up to it again sniffing the box a little this time. "Radio start!" it said out in a robotic tone. "96.2 Frequency Modifier, war channel of the United Nations and other news." Suddenly Sarin heard a female voice from the black box. "With the downfall of the German and French fronts, the United Nations Service and Out Region have hit a sudden roadblock in their chances of winning the last few battles. With the American and Canadian governments speaking out; Russia still stays on standby holding off any form of nuclear attacks on the out region threat. The military is requesting all people in the non-threat zone to please keep an eye out for any out-regionals and to stay indoors on curfew. Any civilians left alive in the threat zone are said to gather at the military occupied shelter, local militia is encouraged and any help will be asked from anyone. The dangerous threat zones have stayed at, Germany, France, Korea, Selective parts of China, Fractions of Africa and Japan. This news broadcast will repeat as per scheduled. Original broadcast date, April Seventh, Twenty-Forty-Two." From there the box began to play music; a simple tune that kept in step and beat. "Come on Sarin." Kiro tugged at her tail and she froze on spot, her fur darted up suddenly. Kiro stopped to look at her. "Sarin?" With a few moments Sarin turned with murder boiling in her eyes before tackling him down. "DON'T YOU EVER TOUCH MY TAIL!" With her paws on his chest holding him down and her face already heated up from rage; Kiro began to laugh. 'What the hell?' It came to Sarin's thoughts. "Well I must say one thing to someone who believes they aren't old enough for a mate." "Yeah? What's that?" "You sure as hell act like you are, every female I know hate's having their tails touched." Sarin froze again. "What are you talking about?" She always knew that the female wolves here generally love it. Sarin never got a chance to be in their conversations, but she did hear a lot about them. "Well at least to wolves they find a little different from the rest." "Are you saying that I'm sexually attracted to you!?" Kiro laughed like hell from there. "It would answer the question why you haven't gotten off me yet and why you stopped pinning me down." It took Sarin a second to realize that he was right; she only tackled him and pinned him down. Yet her tail wagged briskly and she didn't want to move shortly after; her paws weren't forceful but gently kneading him. She blushed hard enough that probably he saw it through her fur before she got off of him. Passing a small chuckle she caught herself nervously playing with her paws again_. Stop that!_ She thought to herself. You haven't done that since you were a cub!
"Sarin, you're a wonderful girl let alone a strong female. I know we've been friends for a very, very long time but I am not allowed to be with you. I know how you've been trying for the past few months. I can't, no matter how flattered I am." "Why not?" Sarin didn't mean to say that, she could hardly think at that moment. "Because it is against our pack to-" "Fuck the pack! We aren't accepted there anyways." This is going to backfire. She thought, yet for that one second she only wanted to think of him getting on top of her. "I can't." Kiro replied. "Come on, you expect me to believe that you are honestly going through with that." She stole a lick underneath his chin, and he snapped back with a deep red blush. "You and I both know that we'd be great together." "We'd be killed!" Sarin stopped dead cold. "They would kill us, like they killed anyone else who defied them." "W- What?" "They kill wolves Sarin, and they pick out the strongest and purest blood for them." "That's stupid Kiro! Do you honestly expect me to believe that my family, my pack would kill me for mating with you?" "Kiro!" A rough tone made Sarin jump and hit the ground. Turning she went wide eyed at the sight of the huge wolf that stood above her, Her tail end almost touching at his sheath. "Sorry inbred... I mean half-bred. I really don't care." He had to look straight down to see Sarin who stared back up to him. "I didn't see you runt." Looking down at the soil, Sarin stared towards Kiro before lying down. "What do you need Sonika?" "I need to know why you are here alone with this profanity using thing." "Sarin, Sonika. Her name is Sarin." Sarin never saw Kiro look at another wolf the way he did. "My, my you seem defensive." "I was just bringing her home, she's caused enough problems." Sonika sharply looked down at Sarin, who still was stuck lying underneath him. His seemed violent enough and all she could do in response was whimper. "And what are you doing out here? This is your last day of the mating season; you are supposed to be pairing off with someone by tonight!" Sarin whimpered more, lying down in a submissive state to him. "Well speak!" "I-" Sarin choked up. "I can't find anyone." "Well that's because nobody is out here." He played on the words, still growling a little at her. Sarin could feel tears in her eyes; she felt herself shaking and could barely speak with him there. "I- I spent all morning Sonika." She tried not to sob it out. "Never! Say my name again! It's filthy coming from your muzzle." "I'm sorry." "You should be spending all day!" "B- But nobody wanted me." "Oh." Sonika lowered himself to Sarin's small perked ears. She could feel his sheath brush up against her tail end, his breath down her neck. It made Sarin feel sick. "Maybe that's because your mother was too busy fucking some worthless coyote to care for you." Sarin wanted to maul at his throat, but she was too scared to even move. A second later Sonika was off of her. "That's enough Sonika!" Kiro barked viciously, baring his fangs out to the wolf. "If I recall correctly, you yourself haven't stayed faithful to your mate! All because Sarin hasn't chosen one doesn't mean you can harass her about it!" "And if I remember you never chose one Kiro! Back down you worthless dog!" Kiro matched up to Sonika in size and strength, yet one thing Kiro had was experience; Sarin knew Kiro could easily kill Sonika. "You should watch your tongue; just remember I am the first person your father talks to about protecting this pack. There is a reason Sonika. Now go home! I'll speak with your father later." Growling at him, Sonika turned to walk away only to show a dirty look at Sarin. She couldn't make much of it, other than it looked perverted. "I will. I'll be seeing you Sarin. Remember; find a mate by the end of the day." He left, bolting off to the trees that strayed far off. Kiro stared at Sarin who stood with dropped ears. Did I do something wrong? It came to mind as she quietly followed Kiro home. Kiro was always nice and calm; quiet most of the time. This was the first time she had seen an actual conflict between two wolves, it scared her to death. Once Sarin was home, she couldn't eat and spent most of her time walking around the forest. Sunset had come and even then she still couldn't find a single wolf that was alone, or interested in her. Sarin simply gave up, her legs felt weak and she put her chin in a small passing stream when she lied down. Ahead of her came the patter of footsteps, two pups came out of the bushes. Both male and young, she couldn't recognize the two of them their fur was much different than any wolf she'd ever seen. "Does your mother know you're both out this far?" Sarin found herself up to them they stared with wide eyes, both probably a year and a half, just nearing or at their stages of mate-ship. "Well no, in fact we thought our pack was the only one on this side of the mountain." They both replied, staring at her in a peculiar way. "What are you doing out here?" He took a sniff at her, the other one was out of her view. "Let's say I'm going through some problems." The wolf she spoke to was exactly her size, if not a little bigger. Sarin turned to look for his brother but couldn't see him at all. "Problems huh?" He sniffed at her again and Sarin gave a small laugh. "What are you doing?" She asked. "You smell a little funny. How old are you?" He replied "About almost two years." He gave another odd look to her. "Really?" In that instant something cold touched Sarin's backside, she jumped back to notice the wolf's brother who was busy sniffing at her rear. "What in the world was he doing!?" Sarin looked to her tail, only to feel it wag. Traitor. She thought. "Sorry, that's my pack brother. He's a lot more dog than the rest of my pack." He responded. "You're right Hoeru. She does smell funny." Hoeru's brother walked back up to him, sat down and stared at Sarin. "You're with that pack near the city ruins aren't you?" Sarin stared at him. "Uhh yes." "We get a lot of your wolves dispersing to us, and at a young age too." Sarin stared dumbfounded, watching the two of them bicker between one another for a while. These wolves aren't like the ones in my pack. Sarin thought quickly wondering if they were a threat or not... "It's odd really." Hoeru passed a thoughtful look. "I'd never expect for so many." Howls came from far behind the two "its mother Hoeru." The younger one stared off to the horizon. Let's go, Bye." The two ran off leaving Sarin to sit in wonder.
Shit sunset!? It felt as if eyes were watching her, she heard the drum of a drone overhead. Those things come out during sunset. Sarin bolted through the trees the hum was evidently louder now, yet different from ever before. This one casted out lights from afar illuminating the trees all around. The shrill hum came closer and closer. Hardly a few yards away when a shadow pulled her down, fur stuffed her muzzle forcing silence. A small hush came from him. Sonika? No Kiro crushed her under his weight, his scent stuffed her nose. A crush against some sticks nearby them caused her ears to flatten. What is it? The sound was distorted, a booming shrill that changed pitch towards another. Kiro was silent, his head low to Sarin's "Don't move, I've never seen things like this before." He whispered softly "What do they look like?" Kiro hushed her staring towards the lights. Growls and sounds savagely echoed through the trees; whatever it was, the thing was sniffing the air. Sarin forced herself to look past the roots of the tree and it was that last second she stared in horror. It looked like a dog, yet it stood on two legs. Much like a bear when it sniffed around yet it declined to a deformed, ape like shape when it walked... "This one's useless." A- A human voice?_Sarin knew it was the pitch and tone. She stared towards a barren, black wall of glass for its visor. The armor seemed thick and padded a canister was hooked on to all their backs. Suddenly the deformed dog stared towards their hiding spot, growls speared out "Stay here." Kiro spoke softly, darting to the left. The shadowing men pulled up their arms. _Guns, those are energy weapons. I remember some machines talking about them "Kiro! You can't!" Sarin bolted out; the humans pointed towards her "Hold your fire!" This one was different, he wasn't holding anything but what appeared to be a small Geiger counter. "That one" He pointed a gloved hand out within his glass eye-spots was Sarin's reflection "Are you sure?" The man flicked a switch on his gun "Her neuron activity is spiking abnormally, not to mention her amplitude response is going off charts. Get them both now!" The next spree of shots were different from before, one hit was numbing and knocked Sarin unconscious, she heard Kiro him yelling and charging towards her, from there she simply went out cold.
A dark place secluded and quiet; stars gleamed from out a large black span. There was nothing but the night sky. Sarin put a paw on the ground and after a second she screamed in terror. Her paw was in front of her, it wasn't natural. She watched herself stretch out the fingertips and from the crack in a door she saw a red blinking light. A thick scent finally came to her nose. Blood. It was everywhere "Where am I?" She stood on two legs, they were shaking and she almost fell. Slowly creeping to the door, a sound much of a growl came to her. She was outside looking at her reflection in the window. God. She thought letting a hand feel up her bare stomach and breasts. This is all real. The sound came from behind her a footstep that darted her tail up. She turned to it, a demonic dog whose muzzle was splattered with blood. She backed up only to hit the wall as the creature stepped forward "No." She pleaded watching the large deformed creature walk closer the red light glimmered behind it. Emergency: Breach. Slowly she fell back, curling up in fear. "Stop it." She saw its foot, the claws were deviously sharp. Slowly the creature bent over her. Sarin closed her eyes whimpering. "I don't want to die. I don't even know where I am." Without warning she felt its hot breath on her neck. "Please." She spoke again "Don't hurt me." She paused for a second to a warm, wet thing. It- It's licking me? It took Sarin a moment, and the sight of its exposed tip for her to realize "No... No." She tried to stand up but it pinned her against the wall, licking her cheek softly. She tried to growl but was shunned down by a vicious snarl. Its teeth were large, larger than any other fangs she'd seen before. What'll I do? I can't just let this thing... Mate me. Apparently there wasn't much she could do.
Sarin felt its paws breach past her tightly closed arms, the creature knew what her breasts were and rubbed her nipples perversely. Squeezing and fingering at them. "S - Stop it, it's too sensitive." The male forced one of Sarin's arms against the window holding it firmly by the wrist. Their tongue was wide and hot, Sarin felt the blood rushing to her head. She looked down as the digitigrade dog sucked on her tits, then digging its muzzle in the gap between her breasts. She felt a paw rubbing against her side and slowly make its way further down. The creature was turning Sarin on. This is wrong! She cried feebly against herself. It didn't work shortly she found herself whimpering though it wasn't in fear; she felt the large paw rubbing against her slit. Already wet, almost dripping and fringing to the touch she felt the muzzle stop and lower itself. Sarin didn't move only watched with her face clearly red as the tongue breached within her. The creatures paw lifted up one of her legs. "Ooh." Sarin moaned out, feeling her sex twitch with their tongue "God, it's so good!" She softly panted out, being closer know Sarin knew what the animal was about to do. The dominant male stood, picking her up and putting her against the thick window. It was cold, but that wasn't why her tits were hard. The animal slid its dick in and Sarin happily invited it. It's so big! Hot too that Sarin knew was true. Being rammed hard She dug her claws into the males back and wrapped her legs around his waist. "Yes!" She begged out. "Fill me in!" Sarin felt something hot leak into her, she knew he was close. The base of his knot was huge Sarin was unsure if she could fit all him in, but after a few hard thrusts she heard it pop in her. Her walls clamped down against his dick, her fluids leaked down his legs. What? What's this? Something was digging into her from the inside and it was coming from the dog. "S -Stop! It hurts!" Sarin screamed in pain, whatever it was, it was trying to claw and burrow its way inside her.
"Hey!" That caught Sarin's attention; that and the splatter of blood that suddenly sprayed against her face and window. Two figures pulled the dead creature off of her. Forcing it's dick out of her "Y- you're like me?" One of them was holding a white odd-looking handgun, almost up to her face "Are you fucking crazy?" The fox had long ears and a small, slender muzzle. "You let that thing implant its parasite in you, your fucking become one of them!" The other two figures a thin rabbit with only one and-a-half ears and a scarred brown-furred dingo walked up to the fox. "She seems to be one of the earlier test subjects." "What?" "Yes, it shows in her file." The rabbit held a small thin silver laptop that glowed in his face dimly. The fox smirked for a second before taking off his really long lab-like coat. He threw it to her "Let me say it's best not to walk around naked, that's one of the only ways, they... Decide to infect a female." Sarin put on the coat. She followed them out once the urged her to follow "I don't understand." "Right now you are on an abandoned research ship of the U.N.S.O.R." The fox spoke, sending off a signal to his partners. They went further ahead, using flashlights and assault-rifles pointed down the halls. "That thing that attacked you was an Out-Regional, a common species the humans were fighting." "Humans are dead." "Not quite. You see these creatures are parasitic; they control a host through means of a specific pathway of DNA which helps incorporate things like the immune system and the central nervous system. It virtually blinds over a human being, almost instantly. We are from humans, called H.I.A, or Human Intergraded Animal. That's what we called ourselves. We are more immune to the Protist that this class of parasite belongs to; it places itself from one host to another and slowly becomes larger." Sarin stopped, clutching her stomach the fox didn't quite turn around. "Soon after they find a mate once a suitable host is chosen, such as you... Witnessed." The fox turned, his grin faded quickly. He lifted his gun. "You were impregnated after all." Sarin felt it squirming inside her, she felt ill. "Just throw up okay, you may be lucky enough to get rid of it." Sarin didn't need to be asked twice, she keeled over and in a daze she saw the small squirming thing "Oh god." A reign of shots rang out, and it stopped thrashing about "All right, you're okay." The fox put a paw on her shoulder. "Let's go." She felt him hold onto her hand, Sarin couldn't hide it well and that was the small blush that came to her face "Sir!" Growls, more and more of them came from around the halls "Shit. Fall back here." He called out, pulling out a second gun. He gave it to Sarin who started out with a blank face. "You should've been augmented like the rest of us; the chip they implant into you tells you what kind of solider you are. By being an older test, you probably have more empty space between each piece of training you've received." The rabbit sprung up "Training?" The gun was solid black; it looked much like an H & K Model she had seen in a city before "Yes, now help us out here!" Sarin held it in her paws, fumbling. The safety was still on. The fox had pulled out a thick black-like block, it was an attachment to the handgun he had. He put it on the front and it looked much like and MP7A1, she remembered seeing them in those talking boxes back home. Those things came around the corner, most were dogs. Snarls rang through the darkness Sarin shook softly holding the handgun in her paws "Hold!" The fox was crouched, the new-made rifle snugged up to his shoulder. His other two sat down near Sarin, who was still standing unsure of what to do. Sarin's finger flicked at the safety latch, she breathed out and aimed down to the first one. Seconds passed before the darkness was lit up with the bursts of gunfire.
"Shit!" All of them were running down a corridor, spent rounds had littered the floor and steam had spewed from the walls around them "Watch it! You could decompress the whole chamber." Sarin was still to really let out a shot, she was shaking. Sarin couldn't run any further; she froze in confusion and fear "Damn it! Don't stop!" The fox yelled back to her but it was no use. Sarin watched them surround her, she couldn't move. A set of paws had reached for her from behind, she suddenly ducked and turned. Unloading two shots from the gun, one was probably sufficient enough. What really spooked her, the fact that she was on the ground now - these near rabid looking creatures on top of her or the very fact that she just killed something ... No Someone? A tight grip took her back; the dingo had jumped in to pull Sarin out.
"Private!" He had to throw Sarin out of the group, he had surrounded himself; it was what she saw in those split seconds that really horrified her. The long slimy-like thing she saw before retched sliced from one of their faces and struck down onto the dingo's shoulder. Blood flung everywhere Sarin had hit the floor and clasped her ears shut. In a manner of seconds all the gunfire ceased "I'm okay Sargent! That wanker couldn't get through the body armor." Sarin looked over to the pile of bodies, the stench made her stomach churn. The gun clamored to the ground and she was whimpering, almost gasping in breathes when the fox took her by the throat and slammed her against the wall. Her lab-coat had flung against the wall too, leaving her front exposed to him "You almost got one of my men killed you stupid cunt!" The dingo had gently patted the fox's shoulder "I'm fine Sargent, anyways we haven't even ran a diagnostics on her, for all we know she may just be an engineer rather than a solider." The dingo suddenly gave a perverse look through her ample breasts and tight-little curves. "With any luck she may be a medic..." He gave a thinking look. "I'd love to get a little treatment from her." Sarin couldn't seem to hide her blush, letting it grow red across her face "I..." The dingo softly chuckled "Ah." The bunny perked. "She must've just woken up from Berovo-Stasis, that's the only thing to explain why her hormone levels are through the roof." Sarin took a look at his small laptop-like thing. It showed a diagram of her perfectly... everything in perfect detail "Y - you can just see me naked with that!?" The bunny looked up, adjusted his round glasses, and chuckled "Don't need it... close up the coat." Sarin looked down and got enough of the picture to flip it around her "H- How?" "Simple, I shot you with a Devera-scanner. It tells me everything physical about you, inside and out. Like this ass's remark, he'd rather have a low-grade female medic, then a highly advanced field surgeon." "C- Can't you scan the chip with it then?" The rabbit chuckled again "If it has a proper I.D card number yes, but you don't even seem to have one..." The fox suddenly cut in "The fuck do you mean by that?" "We need to go back to the room we found her, her Berovo-Stasis chamber will tell us how long she's been in suspended animation for." "How long have you known this for mate?" The dingo asked, flipping the safety off his firearm "About thirty seconds, I just finished scanning through her." "W- Wait we can't be considering this..." Sarin looked to a snarl "Stop acting like a whiny bitch. Hello princess! This is a fucking war!" The fox was back in her face she was quick to cower down (Not like she was opposing much in the first place.) An arm suddenly wrapped around Sarin "Don't worry Love, just stick with ol' Mick and you'll be fine." The dingo spoke with a bit of an accent. Sarin was starting to blush all over when the dingo began tugging her along. "You dropped this." Mick handed Sarin back the handgun she let go of before "Do I really need it?" Sarin almost whined in fear "I'd suggest it these old ships can be very... rickety let's say. Things fall all over. Stick closest and keep hold of that handgun." And that's what she did, freezing and holding her breath when sounds came from some of the narrow corridors. "It's just steam and compression." "CONTACT!" The fox barked out, holding his rifle steady to a moving shadow "A... Child?" Sarin took a heavy look at the young cat. His mangy coat, gnarled whiskers and bloodshot eyes told her he was infected "This is the second child H.I.A we've seen. Chase, what can you tell me?" The bunny chuckled again. "Not much but I'd assume after H.I.A's have been around for over five hundred years." Five hundred years!? Sarin almost cried to herself. The machines back home never spoke about them at all!"That's its clearly natural for two to mate and produce offspring Sargent." "This one's infected?" "Clearly..."
A single shot cracked out, it got Sarin in complete surprise and fear. She shook all over, the young body simply crumpled to the floor, no cry or sound "Move out." The Sargent simply overlooked the body hardly flinched at it. The rest of the walk turned into an awkward silence every now and then the fox turned and looked at Sarin. She would freeze in fear. "Haven't fallen behind?" She would shake no nervously and stay silent. "Good." Twenty minutes passed, the original route forward had indeed collapsed and they were forced to cut through the mess hall a floor below. It was clear and quiet the whole way through. Suddenly the rabbit ran off "Stay alert Chase!" The rabbit gave thumbs up and put a scarf over his face, and pulled out a devious-looking bone-saw. Soon after entering the chamber Sarin came from, he came out entirely pale "Chase?" The fox snugged his gun to his shoulder "Get her on a table now!" Chase ordered "What?" Mick said "FUCKING DO IT NOW!" Mick grabbed Sarin and bolted into the mess hall "What's going on!?" She feebly cried as she was put onto a clean lunch-table, she was blushing when Mick was over-top her "I don't know..." Shortly after Chase walked in with a syringe and demanded that her coat is removed. Hesitantly Mick removed it from her and lied her down on the table "Your official suspended animation time has been four-hundred and fifty-seven years... I should've fucking checked the chamber in the beginning." Chase went to jab the needle into her "Wait... Wait!" Sarin pleaded. "Stop please!" She thrashed around but the Sargent pinned her "That is an emergency Nerfile syringe. In the event that a suspended H.I.A has been removed improperly from animation over the time of two hundred years it is quite possible for said subject to... well die quickly and painfully from a massive adrenaline surge from the vicious treatment of the chamber. In short your heart can explode in odd ways and at any given moment "You'll be okay." Chase reassured her and tenderly rubbed a lotion onto her neck. Softly he pushed the needle into her neck and injected all the fluid in "Why - What if your wrong!?" Sarin just thought of it "The anti-drug is removed from your body naturally without harm." The Sargent responded. "I should know." "Alright. Now I need to inject one more thing." Inside his small bag was a silver briefcase that Chase removed and opened. In his paw was a handful extremely small spider-like robots. "These act like... little construction workers and will fix any organ damage from the prolonged treatment of the chamber. The Berovo-Stasis is only designed for one-hundred and fifty years. These will be removed usually by the time you urinate next." Sounds came from a few doors behind them; Mike registered his firearm "We got company boys!" He called back, watching the snarling creatures bang against the locked door "Chase, double-time this!" The fox ordered "I need you to stay calm; this may burn and hurt a lot." Chase let them on her face; they lightly crawled their way to her eyes...
"Fuck!" Mike's yell over-took the sudden yelps of pain Sarin let out. An infected grappled him from the broken door. "Get this bloke off me!" The fox didn't need a second warning he switched the end of his gun to a thicker piece. After locking it he reached into his pocket and pulled out a shotgun slug all this while running forward. Sarin was taken aback by the fluidity of his body. The pained dulled down, just in time for her heart to race at the sight of the fox shoving a shotgun barrel down an infected muzzle. A huge crack rang out, Sarin closed her eyes shut and covered her ears "You are one weird solider. Your chamber didn't even have an I.D number, let alone that one Berovo-Statis housing was like none I'd ever seen." Sarin gave him a look "This was all for nothing!?" "Taking precautions is always the most important step. I wonder if you're even a combatant unit at all, you don't even really have a data chip." "What?" "Well... you do... sort of. But it seems to be a basic civilian model; with some modifications of course but still." "Chase!" The fox yelled "Alright." He put his scarf over his face and pulled out his bone-saw. "I'll show you what a combat surgeon can do." He gave a twisted smile and walked forward. "Well open the door." The door burst open, the first one flailed to him but the bone-saw and his arm were way faster. Sarin saw the slash, aimed with a surgeon's precision to the neck, and to the next minute she shut her eyes and ears right out. She didn't want to open them, even after Mike said it was fine. Sarin was scared of what she'd see but when she opened; all she saw was his face "God you pretty much blacked out." He.... He's carrying me!!! Sarin almost thrashed and Mike almost dropped her. "You're alright." The fox was almost snarling at her again "Can't believe you were that fucking scared. That was nothing." Sarin looked at Chase for a second. The blood... before she looked away almost gagging. I- It's all over... "Now I'm not that twisted, but I do suck with a gun. The data chip does limit things so I do with what I can." That's not the point Chase... Sarin looked at a sleek black, wing curved- like ship. It made her think of a crow or a bat of some sort "Jesus Christ Chase! Again? Really!? You wanna know how friggin long it takes to clean this ship from the stench of blood!?" It was an old gray cat who tended towards his trucker-like cap; he didn't look much like a pilot... "That's why we love you... You tend to put up with us." "Yeah... I can't believe they pull my ass outta retirement for shit like this..." The cat looked to Sarin "She injured?" "To some degree" Mike covered for her; she heard the Sargent slowly begin to growl "Alright well let's lay her down on the cot inside and get off this damned ship. Did you catch onto any other live readings?" "No, the rest were ejected long ago." Mike responded "Off we go then." Everyone seemingly piled on in, Mike actually brought Sarin into the medical cot "Your different, I guarantee that." you don't even really have a data chip. Chase's voice rang through and through. She suddenly wanted to tell Mike but only flustered and blushed red hot when he tucked her in. "It'll be comfier here believe me." He turned to leave. Yet Sarin's eyes caught onto something "You're bleeding!" Any louder the entire landing-craft would have heard "Oh?" Mike put a paw onto his side only to draw back his own blood. It was a small, but deep cut that bled him. "I'll be quite alright. I've had worst." "Someone needs to tend to that though." "Well that's why we have Chase, one of the best!" Mike's voice was powerfully assuring. Mike left shortly after. Well... alright then. It didn't take long for Sarin to suddenly fall asleep.
