Your Mine!
#1 of Your mine!
Just another world rattling around in my head, first ever story, unpolished, no names for the characters yet(they haven't introduced themselves yet) will it continue? I will try.
The journey:
Darkness, rocking, the smell of food? Where am I? *Thud* OK..there is a roof to this...BOX OF FOOD?!? Why in the nine hells am I in a box of food? Oh crap, we stopped...The lid opens and I see a muzzle? pop into view and feel the cold, DAMN ITS COLD!! A soft puff of warmth and a bit of dust gets into my eyes and nose. Then darkness claims me as I fall asleep again.
A dark furred wolf stands back up after quickly closing the lid, tucking a small tube back into its pouch. "He will sleep for awhile longer now" he rumbled to the others. A white and black wolf recovered the supply box with the blankets and started off again, his large pawed feet sinking very little in the semi packed snow covered ice. "We need to hurry, he can't take this weather as it is and a storm is coming! The hot springs are still nearly a day's journey ahead of us" he growled. A brown wolf grabbed one of the ropes and pulled with him muttering "And he isn't staying under as long with the sleep powder either, this will not be good if we don't hurry!"
They started moving across the frozen lake again at a faster pace, the mountain ahead slowly getting closer as the five wolves hurried on. Meanwhile a human in a dreamless slumber rocks with the box of supplies. They finally make it to the cave opening as two others grab the other end of the box and the black furred Alpha leads the way further in. A fire is started from the pile of wood by the opening and they begin to set up camp near the back of the main cavern. Furs and bedrolls are laid out as the Alpha opens the box and collects a bit of food and water for their meal, leaving the human sleeping.
As the others sit around the fire, the human wakes, realizes he is still in this box of food..."Shit, I'm in with the food?!? time to get gone!!" he springs up, rolls over the side of the box and falls to the stone floor, his legs would not work and his arms did not fare any better. Turning over on his back, he sees a huge black wall of fur standing over him. "Good, you are awake! Time for some food!" replied the wolf. Darkness claimed him again as he passed out.
He woke again to darkness, this time he was warm, his head was wet and his clothes was gone. "Why am I wet?" Then he realized he was in hot water, almost too hot cause his skin was stinging a little. He could smell food cooking and he started to panic. "I was in a box of food and now I am in the pot?!? aaahhhhh!!!!! let me out!!" he screamed as furred hands held him in the water.
"What the fuzz is wrong with him?" growled the black wolf as he held on to the struggling human. The white and black one replied "We had him dusted too long?" as he moved to help hold him, the warm water meant to relax them but yet the human continued to fight. A lit torch was brought in and the human could see all five wolves, four in the water and one at the edge holding the torch. "Please let me go!" the human whimpered, and all of a sudden he was free! He struggled to the side and out of the water, then realized it was really cold and jumped back into the water as far away from them as possible.
"STOP!" commanded the black alpha, Both the wolves and the human froze, looking at him. "Thankfully you ALL remember who is the Alpha. Now relax and think... what do you remember?" as he looked at the human. The rest of the wolves settled back in the water as the brown wolf set the torch on an outcrop of rock near the pool then returned to the fire in the other cavern. The human's heart had slowed for a few while the question bounced around his mind. "What...where......who am I? Why can't I remember?" The Alpha slowly approached watching his speed to try not to scare him further. "Please, please, don't eat me!" as he started to back up to the edge. "First, it is too cold for you to leave the pool till your clothes are dry. Second, if I was going to eat you...never mind, just relax, you are safe little one. Just give yourself some time, the sleep dust has that effect after so much time." The Black called the other from the fire to bring some food and drink for them. "Come over here and sit, there is a ledge you can eat from and still stay in the water."
The human slowly moved over and found the food was calling him, he started gulping the food till they stopped him." Not too fast!" "You haven't eaten much the last 4 days!" "He will get sick!" as all of them rushed to stop him. He nearly jumped then his stomach started turning. As he felt a paw rub his back the others returned to their own meals, the black and white wolf opened another pouch and dropped a pinch of powder into the bowl of cool water and gave it to the human." This will help settle your stomach, then take your time furless one, the storm will keep us here for awhile" He then got out of the pool and shook himself then headed to the fire.
The black alpha was behind a wrapped his arms around him, and tucked his nose into his neck sniffing. The human was startled at first but all of a sudden burst into giggles as the whiskers tickled his neck and ear! "OK! OK! I give! STOP! PLEASE!" the human begged, as the wolf paused he whispered in his ear "you must remember you are mine..." A single thought in the back of his mind rose up like a bubble in water and he remembered pain.
The Chase:
Pain...his lungs burned as his feet pounded the dirt, he ran, the sting of branches slapping his face and body, ducking thru brush and dodging trees and clearing roots. He could smell the water ahead, the stream would cover his tracks and he may even be able to hide and rest for a minute...A howl behind him drove him on. "He must have caught my scent again!" He cursed as he broke thru the woods into a clearing, now with nothing in the way he could see the water's edge! With every last bit he ran, his feet slapping on rocks as he neared the bank. Then on top of a big boulder he turned and saw him. He was a bipedal wolf that trotted up to a stop a few feet away. Black as night with amber eyes, it was noticeably male due to a sheath and balls was clearly visible, the only clothing was the beads and feathers that was braded in its fur and the band around his bicep. Turning to dive in the water he was hit from behind and they landed further out into the water. As they surfaced, two powerful arms wrapped around him from behind and he hear a triumphant growl in his ear..."MINE"
A door opens:
The smell fear started to dissipate from the human as a new smell became stronger, salt...the wolf turned the human to face him to see tears running down his face. "I am sorry my Alpha!" he mumbled as he buried his face in the black wolf's neck hugging him tightly. The black wolf growled happily "Your ok, most loved, I am glad you remember me." The brown and the two grey wolves closed in and nosed him and licked him, happy that he was feeling better. The now dry white and black wolf returned to the edge of the pool with a blanket and collected the human who had since fell back asleep. "How much longer is he gonna sleep? " asked the alpha " he has slept most of the 5 days!" as he climbed up and shook himself out. "I told you the dust was too much for a human, he should be fine after this nap, now that he has his memory back he should recover" said the black and white, "but we didn't have any other choice with this cold, we had to keep him in the supply box" The twins (gray) "At least he kept the meat from being a frozen brick!" said one."And we had water without needing a fire too!" The brown joined in as he finished drying off. "He didn't add more weight than we can handle but this storm isn't going to help" The alpha moved to the sleeping human curling up around him protectively to keep him warm. "We should be fine, we can stay here for a week with the food we have, but we are not going anywhere in this storm, get some rest, the rough part is over."
