My Pack chapter three
#3 of My pack
Alright, here is the third chapter. No yiff, sorry guys this is all character work. Hope you enjoy it though.
I shot up, panting heavily. Sweat matting down my fur. It was pitch black in the room. I looked around slowly. My heart beating heavily while I tried to relax. It was no use, I just had to ride this out. I wiped my forehead with my hand. Slowly laying back down on the sweat drenched sheets under me. Staring up at the ceiling. "Just get out of my head," I whispered.
Every night used to be like this, for the longest time. The nightmares stopped though, but it came back. I growled softly, "Why did it come back?" I felt the mattress shift and Eric sat up. "Kimber? What's wrong sweetie?" I wrapped my arms around him and held him as tightly as I could. He sighed and held me against him. "Nightmares again," he said rather than asked. "I was doing so good too, life was normal again. Why does this keep happening Eric?"
"You cant run from it, just relax and let it pass by. Nothing else we can do really." I nuzzled his cheek and released my grip on him. "Want to talk about it?" I shook my head, "Would you if you were in my shoes?" Eric took my hand in his, giving it a firm squeeze. "In the morning, once Torban is out of the house we can talk more. Don't want to wake him, and he always gets mad about this. Then we can talk about it."
Eric laid back down in bed and I snuggled up into him. Slipping an arm across him and Torban. "Eric, can I have the middle tonight?" I whispered to him. He sat up and I moved my arm. I slid to the edge so he could make room between him and Torban. I carefully slipped between them and snuggled into our big kitty while Eric pressed against my back. Wrapping an arm across me protectively. "Better?" he whispered into my ear. I gave a slow nod, "Thank you."
I closed my eyes, relaxing into my mates while I let sleep take it's hold over me. When morning came I was forced back into consciousness by the alarm clock on the nightstand. Eric reached over and turned it off. Making no attempt to wake me. I felt Torban stretching, letting out a long drawn out yawn. He looked at us, "Puppy is in the middle?" Eric leaned over to kiss him. "I don't spend all my time between you two."
"I know, not the first time he has slept between us. Just been a while since he has is all. Something wrong?" I looked up and saw the concern on his face. "Nightmare," I told him not wanting to lie. I watched Torban's ears lower and he expression got serious in the drop of a hat. "It's okay big kitty, probably just brought on by all the thinking I have been doing lately. About the past that is. With Aiden moving in I was reflecting on how far we have come. Plus I told Victor about how we got together."
I pressed my body firmly against Torban's. "Don't worry, I'm not freaking out on you again. Those instincts are long gone." He wrapped an arm around me and looked at Eric. "Should we be concerned?" Eric shook his head, "Doubt it. He has improved a lot since then. Mental health may not be my area of expertise but I'm pretty sure he is a fully functional young male of his species."
I smiled at Eric, "Sure am. Would have the proof poking from my sheath if I wasn't so exhausted." Torban nuzzled my cheek, "Not in the mood to sex you up. I'm going to jump in the shower." Torban slid from the bed and snagged a pair of boxers from the floor. "I'll join you," I said to him jumping out of bed to fetch the boxers I only wore between the bedroom and the bathroom.
"Must be fixed, back then he couldn't even be near me." Torban said to no one in particular. "I'm better, not fixed. I have the balls to prove it. Now let's go get wet." Eric chuckled and watched us leave the room. I followed Torban into the bathroom, pulling the door closed behind me. "You sure you're alright puppy?"
"Yeah, I'm fine sexy. I will go to school. No need for me to miss anything. Just a one time deal is all." Torban looked back at me while starting the shower and getting the water to a suitable temperature. "Alright Kimber, now kick off those shorts and come join your man." I smiled at him, not needing another invitation. I stripped out of my boxers and moved over to him. "Don't worry, I'm not afraid of my muscle god anymore. I can prove it too."
I reached for his sheath but he blocked me with his hand. "No, let's just be lovey for a while." He wrapped his strong arms around me. "I'm a little tired, but capable of sucking cock." I slipped my arms around him. Feeling him rest his head against mine. "I know babe, but I want to give you some time to recover before I horn dog you up." I chuckled and nuzzled his broad chest. Getting his scent into my cheek fur.
He gently lifted me from the floor and carried me into the shower. "Come on babe, Eric will have breakfast ready soon and we shouldn't keep our special man waiting." I smiled up at Torban, "Such a loving kitty I am mated to." He gave my ass a gentle pat as he stepped under the shower head. Water running down our furry bodies. "You know it lover." I grabbed the bottle of fur shampoo, squirting some into my palm before rubbing it into his wet chest fur.
"An outsider may think you just collect bitches to take care of you." Torban raised a brow at my comment. "Let them think what they want. As long as you and Eric know I love you more than anything, that's all that matters to me. Not what some prudish S.O.B thinks. Or the jocks for that matter. Those guys are always chasing tail. I'm happy with what I have."
"Remember when I was new to all of this? My cheeks were always pink. I blushed a lot, now I'm relaxed and used to things." I washed Torbans chest and belly before doing his arm pits. "It was kind of cute, Eric topped more. He likes things better now, he is more a sub in the bedroom. While you're better as a switch than the bitch." I chuckled, getting his sheath and balls nice and soapy. He moaned softly, starting to harden from my attention.
"You sure you don't want a quick BJ before class?" I asked. Torban shook his head, "No I will be fine. Just ignore my naughty bits." I raised a brow and started to wash his thighs. Working my way down his legs. When I stood back up he started to wash me. His strong hands sliding across my body slowly. Getting my chest and back nice and soapy before moving down my belly and back. I moaned softly, his hands massaging my muscles.
"Gods, you weren't kidding when you said you wanted to be affectionate this morning." He smiled at me, kneading my lower back firmly. "Got your soccer practice today." I pulled my ears back, having totally forgotten about today being the start of soccer. "Not second string either this year, Eric says you moved up to first." I nodded slowly, "Yeah. Kind of nervous about it. Not as much as I was last year when I tried out for the team. Third string sucked, at least second string got me some field time."
"Well Eric has been playing since middle school. You're doing good for only having been at it for a year." He had a point, Eric was amazing on the field. As a striker it was his job to move the ball and score goals. A position that he took seriously. I was a winger, which meant my tail was always in motion. Zipping across the field to support the strikers in scoring goals and moving the ball.
"Just try not to get hurt too bad puppy. Eric has limped off the field more than his share of times. Don't want some brute to bruise you up." I nuzzled my mate. "I will be fine big kitty. I'm fast, which is why I made first string this year. The other guys will have a hard time keeping up with me. Plus I have Eric on the field too." He purred and returned my nuzzle. "Maybe you should try wrestling." I raised a brow, "Yeah or I could just stick to soccer. Less physical contact that way. Plus I've seen my share of wrestlers. No way I would survive a match even at my weight class."
Torban chuckled, "Just takes practice is all. Just like soccer does, and I survived last year watching you evade your share of blocks and trips. Though you did go down hard more than once." I growled playfully, "Hey now. Eric ate dirt too and you don't hassle him this much about it." My lion kissed my forehead softly. "I know, but I do worry about him when he goes down too hard. Maybe you guys should play football instead. Those guys wear pads."
"They also hit each other harder and have macho attitudes. Too many steroids, tiny penises. Soccer is a real man's sport. Plus, it is called football everywhere else. Our version is just rugby with pads. Cant tell me that is a real man's sport when rugby players do the same thing with only a cup as protection." Torban sighed and lowered his ears. "Yes I know, I get enough of this from your boyfriend. The one who has turned you into this hateful little soccer hooligan."
I chuckled, "I'm not hateful. Besides you don't even like football so what does it matter?" He shrugged, "It doesn't matter. I just like to hassle you two." We finished our shower quickly. Wanting to try and save hot water for the other three guys in the house. Torban handed me a towel before starting to dry himself. "Big kitty, I love you." He stopped drying his mane to look at me, "I love you too babe." Once I was satisfied I was dried to the best of the towel's ability I hung it up on the rack and slipped my boxers back on.
Waiting for Torban to finish drying so we could go to the kitchen together. Eric made a simple eggs and hash browns breakfast for us. Breakfast is one of my favorite meals. Always has been, so I grabbed myself a plate and dished out some food. Torban followed suit right behind me. Aiden was already sitting at the table eating in silence like he usually did. I sat next to Eric and poured some Tabasco onto my eggs and hash browns. Starting to eat my meal.
I was going to talk to Eric during our breaks. The house would be empty then since the other three all had classes at ten. Just the way our schedules worked out this term. Last year none of us shared a break. My classes were all back to back and Eric and Torban missed each other by an hour. Victor walked into the kitchen, rubbing sleep out of his eyes. Mumbling to himself quietly, having totally forgotten to put on underwear.
I chuckled and Eric just shook his head not saying a word. Torban on the other hand couldn't resist himself. "Looking good Vic, that all natural look really suits you." Aiden blushed and his ears laid back. Never looking up from his breakfast while Victor poured himself a cup of coffee. "Uuuhh...no talk...co..ff..ffee." he half muttered, half said.
"And to think, you guys said I wasn't a morning person. Tisk, tisk lovers. Tisk, tisk indeed." I looked at Torban, "Not that you're not capable of movement and thought. You just dislike waking up in the morning hours." Eric nodded in agreement, still watching Victor as he sipped on his coffee. "Quit staring at him lover. You get enough nude male action from us." I said to Eric.
He looked at me, "Sorry just amazing how he is oblivious to his surroundings in the morning." I looked over at Victor. "Here we see the doberman youth in his natural state. Having just come out of his nightly slumber. The dobius nudious tends to be a cautious creature, but in this state of limited consciousness his instincts have yet to kick in. Observe now as the dobius partakes in his morning ritual. Consuming a caffeinated beverage, unaware of our presence."
Torban and Eric chuckled at his expense. While my brother just kept watching his empty plate like it would jump up and bite him if he broke eye contact. Victor groaned, fondled his heavy balls and walked out of the kitchen without saying a single coherent word to us. "Thus concludes this episode of Wild Kingdom, join us tomorrow as we go into the mating behaviors of barely feral felines." Aiden stood up and walked out of the room. Grabbing his backpack before leaving the house.
"Well, that was exciting." Eric said leaning back in his chair. Torban shook his head, "Funny though laughing at the expense of our friend is wrong on some level. I have yet to find that level, but I'm sure it is wrong." I just shrugged and finished my breakfast. Victor came back downstairs a few minutes later, fully dressed this time. "Good morning gents," he said while helping himself to the pan of hash browns.
"Good morning dobius, I see you are fully dressed this time." Torban said. Victor turned and looked at him. "Dobius? What the 'ell are yeh talking about?" Eric sighed and headed us off at the pass. "You came down in the buff to get coffee and these two turned that into a nature documentary." I laughed, giving a nod to confirm what Eric just said. "Yeah, it was pretty funny. We didn't mind it, but Aiden got all embarrassed about it. Doubt he will be able to look at you ever again after that one." I said.
Victor rubbed the back of his neck. "Sorry guys, I didn't know. It was hot last night and I kicked off my briefs." I went to make a comment but Eric cut me off. "It's alright Victor. Just try to remember to put something on before coming out of your room. We do have a straight guy living with us." Eric walked into this one, "Yeah just cover up with a sock. We enjoyed looking at your furry rump."
"Kimber, down boy. Down," Eric said. "Don't make me get the spray bottle." I raised a brow at him. "It's just a bit of fun, geez." Torban stretched and stood up. "I'm going to be out with Mark and Rem after class. No drinking, just going to hang out for a bit." Eric nodded his approval and I lowered my ears. "Sorry you cant drink big kitty." He smiled and kissed me on the cheek, "Don't worry about it puppy. I know it bothers you, and I don't need to drink to have a good time."
Didn't stop me from feeling bad. "I'nt Mark the one from that party? Where I met yeh?" Victor asked. I looked back at Victor, having forgotten about him. "Yeah, that's the guy. Almost as big of a closet case as this guy was." Torban said pointing at Eric. I lowered my ears, "Not true. You meant me. If anyone was a closet case back then, it was me." Eric placed his hand on mine. "Hey now, no one knew about us either."
"You guys didn't broadcast it either. I only figured it out because you had each others scent on you." Torban shrugged, "Does it matter? The past is behind us puppy. We talked about that before, right after all that happened." Eric scooted his chair closer to mine, "What's bothering you?" I looked into his eyes. "Just saying, I was deeply closeted out of fear."
Victor started walking towards the doorway to leave the kitchen. "You can stay Victor, I told you all about that part yesterday." Victor stopped and looked at me. "That's not what's bothering me. It's everything that happened after. I feel like if I don't get it all out right now I wont have any peace." Eric pulled me into his lap. "We can talk about that during our break."
"I know, but right now I want to finish the story I started yesterday." Victor sat at the table, and Torban sat back down. "We're going to miss class if we do this," Torban told me. I gave a slow nod, "I know. But English is easy for me to make up and you have me so we are covered." I took a deep breath and got ready to tell my tale.
After the incident at school Eric and Torban stayed with me. My dad got off work first, not long after we got home he showed up. Walking in the door with his work gear. He was still a lineman for the power company. Setting poles and running wire from substations to houses. Most days he was beat when we got home, too tired to do much other than relax.
My dad looked at us, "Hi guys." We had moved across the couch when we heard the door open. Last thing I wanted was for my parents to find out, right after the whole school had. "Hi dad, these are my friends. This is Torban Jang, and Eric Johnson." Eric and Torban stood up to shake my dad's hand. "Hey guys, nice to meet you. Your brother home?" I shook my head, "Haven't seen him all day."
"Knowing him he snuck in the back when he saw there was company over and is hiding up in his room." I nodded in agreement. He is pretty shy, no one can argue with that. My dad walked upstairs to shower. Leaving us alone once again. We talked about our families mostly. How Eric was the only child of two lawyers. While Torban's parents worked out at the Hanford site.
My mom came home an hour later. Dad was in the kitchen grabbing a beer before moving into the living room to watch the news. "Oh, hi guys. What are you up to?" my mom asked. "Talking, while dad gets ready to bore us with current events." My mom shook her head and went to change out of her business attire into something more comfortable.
"Let's go to my room," I said in a moment of bravery. Standing up, Eric and Torban followed suit. I led the way upstairs to my bedroom. Closing the door behind us. "Your parents seem nice," Eric said. I sat down on my bed, "Yeah they are. Just not sure how they will take all of this." Torban sat next to me and wrapped his arm around my waist. "Not like you're coming out in the dark ages," he said. Eric sat down on the other side of me. "They shouldn't flip out too bad. But it is hard to know for sure how they will react. They do love you though, and will come to terms with you being gay."
"It's not just the gay thing, it's me being gay and maybe having two boyfriends." Eric snuggled into my side. "Canines have a harder time with that one. It is pretty unheard of amongst wolves." Eric's words didn't make me feel any better. "Thanks Eric, that makes me feel better. Chances of them coming to terms with it is slim." I said annoyed. He pulled his ears back and Torban growled softly, "Puppy you will behave."
"Sorry Eric, just this isn't easy for me." Eric kissed me on the cheek, "It's alright and I shouldn't have said that." Torban nuzzled my cheek, "Much better you two. Things seem rough now, but they will get better." I pulled them both against me, and they hugged me tightly. I murred softly, enjoying their strong scents. It made everything seem a little bit better. Like I could get through anything as long as they were with me.
They left just before dinner so I had to face my family alone. My mom noticed the bruise on my cheek. "What happened?" she asked. I just shrugged, "Some guy in the locker room started a fight and I ended up catching a punch on my way by. You should see what he did to the other guy, this is nothing." She looked concerned but let it go. My dad probably chocked it up to being a teenage boy. Fights do happen with young males.
I finished my dinner and went back up to my room. Falling back on my bed. I pulled my phone from my pocket, looking at the two new contacts I added. I could still smell them, their scent was all over my bed. All over my shirt too. I shot up, "Oh fuck, fuck, fuck." No way my parents missed that. They didn't say anything, could pass it off as being friendly. Or wrestling maybe, teenage boys wrestle. At least I think they do.
I laid back down on the bed, nothing I could do about it now anyway so may as well go with it. I sent Eric a text, "Hey my shirt smells like you two." Not having to wait long for a response. "That bad? Though u liked us."
"I do like you guys, just think my parents may catch on if I constantly smell like lion and tiger and my two best friends just happen to be a lion and a tiger."
"Chill, and y r u texting like that?"
"Like what?"
"Full sentences, proper grammar and the like."
"I happen to like the English langauge and refuse to butcher it. Even in text message form."
"And Torban thinks im uptight."
I chuckled and relaxed into the bed. "Going to try and get some sleep, night night kitty." I sent Torban a good night text too, getting back "Night puppy." As well as a "Gnight." I yawned and stripped out of my clothes before switching off the light. Climbing under the covers, slowly closing my eyes. I was excited for morning to come for a change. I smiled at that thought, trusting Eric and Torban. Everything was going to be fine.
The next morning played out the same as the one before. With me getting dressed, grabbing my backpack and heading to school via my feet. Up until the point where I stepped outside my house anyway. Torban's sedan was parked right out front. I walked over to the car, Eric sat in the passenger's seat with the window down. Both of them watching me walk up. "Good morning?" I asked.
Eric pushed the door open and slid closer to Torban. "Get in, you can toss your bag in the back with ours." I raised a brow, "Okay." I pulled open the backdoor and set my backpack on the backseat. Closing the door before climbing in front. Once the door was closed Torban put the car in drive and pulled out. I buckled my seat belt. "You didn't have to pick me up. I can walk, like I normally do."
"What kind of guy would I be if I made you walk to school alone? Besides, you're on the way so it works out." Eric pulled me closer to him and I quit protesting. "Thanks," I said blushing lightly. Next he would be giving me his jacket on a cold night, or some other cliché like that. Torban pulled into the Senior parking lot and into the nearest empty space he could find.
"We're here gang, everyone out." Torban said swinging his door open. I pushed the door open and opened the backdoor to retrieve my backpack. Handing Eric his bag before closing the door. "Thanks sweetie," Eric said before closing the passenger's door behind him. There were a few jocks hanging out in the parking lot. They were looking over at us and I almost lost my nerve. Eric hooked his arm around my waist.
"Let's get a move on, that crazy bat likes to start class early." Torban said as he wrapped his arm around me. We walked around the school to the nearest door to our classroom before walking inside. So far everything seemed fine and I relaxed a little. Some people did stare, and a few talked amongst themselves about us. Mostly in shock about which team Eric and Torban were playing for.
We entered the classroom and sat in the same seats we were in yesterday. Miss Phelps walked into the room, looking around the room. Using a seating chart to take roll just like she always did. "Hey faggot," a wolverine next to us whispered. I ignored him, but he kept at it. "Faggot, hey look at me bitch. Faggot!" Miss Phelps looked up and right at him. "Mister Thompson, office, now! I will not tolerate such behavior in this room."
"But he is, we all know he is." he said protesting. She glared at him, "I don't care if he is the Queen of England. You will not spread hate in this classroom. Now go, you are to leave Mister Keller alone." He growled and slowly walked out of the room. I sat back in my seat feeling better. "See, everything is fine." Eric said.
"Yeah, I guess you're right about that one." Class went on as normal, and Torban started to work on his essay for the week. With some help from Eric and I. It was just another day in class until Susan Mortin walked over to us. "So? Is it true? What they're all saying about you?" I looked up at her, not sure how to answer. "Yes it's true, he is my boyfriend and if anyone messing with him I will beat them beyond bloody." Torban said to her.
She just shrugged, "Figures all the good ones are gay. Not sure what you see in him though. He is pretty thin and has no social status." I glared at her, she was being mean now. "Well princess, he is sweet and caring. Unlike you, so kindly fuck off and find some other boy to toy with and leave my man alone." Eric cleared his throat, "Our man. You cant claim him all to yourself."
Susan took a step back, "Ew." Then she walked away without another word. "Bitch," Eric muttered under his breath. "No kidding, we don't walk around saying how gross straight people are." Torban said. The bell rang shortly after that and we gathered up our stuff. "Want us to walk you to your next class?" Torban asked. I shook my head, "No, I should be fine out there. It's my next class I'm worried about though."
Eric and Torban gave me a hug and we parted ways. My next class was math, with a teacher that didn't get along with me at all. I ignored everyone in the halls, making my way to my next classroom. Taking my seat and pulling out my math book. I settled in for just another class period, trying to push everything else to the side.
"Word on the street is you're a tail raiser," the raccoon who sat next to me said. I rolled my eyes and looked at him. "So what? You believe everything you hear." He glared at me, "I don't want to sit next to a queer. So you better check that fairy shit at the door." I returned my attention to my book, wanting out of that conversation.
"Leave him alone David, he hasn't done anything to you" a girl behind us said. He growled and turned to face her. "Shut your face, you're not the one with a butt pirate sitting next to you. You're a girl, safe from this ass fucker." The bell rang and Mister Fassler walked into the room from his attached office. David turned to face the front of the class, still seething with scorn. "What's this about a queer?" Fassler asked.
David wasted no time in singling me out. "He is one, everyone knows it. He was caught staring at a guy in the locker room. Watching them shower or some shit like that." Leave it to the rumor mill, soon it will be said that I was caught beating off while the jocks were showering after class. "I was just looking at my boyfriend you tool. Not like I was watching you, or anyone else in this Gods forsaken place!" I was angry now, no one was going to bend the truth in any manner.
Fassler slammed his hand down on his desk. "Enough! I wont tolerate sinful behavior in my classroom. Go sit in the back corner, where no one has to be subjected to your shameless lust." His eyes bore into me, but my glare matched his in intensity. I just grabbed my bag and started to move to the vacant corner. "Wait, you can sit next to me." I turned to look at who said that.
My eyes finding a black furred wolf. He smiled at me and scooted his chair to the side. Making room at his desk for me. "Mister Smith, you will refrain from sheltering this heathen." He just shook his head, "If no one else will stand up for him then I will. Though I have a feeling most of the girls in this class are on my side. Maybe a few of the guys as well. I'm not going to roll over and let you do something morally wrong. Your religious views aside, it is wrong."
I just stood there not knowing what to do. Fassler growled, his classroom on the verge of turning into a battlefield. I looked from the wolf to the otter. Both of them visibly angry and neither one wanting to stand down. "He has my support," the girl from earlier said standing up. The rabbit seemed small compared to the two angry males locked in a fight for dominance over the room. Her friend, a gazelle stood next to her.
The lines were being drawn and my confidence started to grow. In a matter of seconds all the girls in the class, with the exception of two were standing by their desks. As well as half a dozen of the guys. The wolf slowly got to his feet and shrugged. "It's a losing battle by the looks of it." he said to me. He was right, with little more than half the class standing to support me there was little Fassler could do.
"Sit down, all of you. Keller, back in your seat. I've had enough of this shameful display of hedonism. God will sort things out on his own terms. I will just have to tolerate the intolerable." I returned to my seat next to David. Once again placing my book on the desk. I looked back at the wolf and he winked at me. Class went on as it normally did after that. With Fassler explaining various algebra problems to us and using the same basic equations to solve them.
After class as I was putting my things into my backpack I felt a hand on my shoulder. It was the girl who sat behind me. "Don't let them get to you. What they said was wrong, and change is coming in a big way." I thanked her and she turned to walk out the door. David took the long way around, not wanting to walk passed me. The wolf walked up to me on my way out the door.
"Care for some company on the way to our next class?" he asked me. My ears perked, "Our next class?" He followed me out into the hallway. "Yeah, we both have History together. I'm James, James Smith. And you're Kimber Keller, the quiet guy who sits two rows down from me." I looked at him, "You're one of those people who knows everyone in our grade level aren't you?"
"Not really, not everyone anyway. I know the players, the real ones not the fake ass ones who are rulers of this land but will end up with low paying jobs in the real world." I chuckled, "I see. So you're a realist who sees beyond these brick walls. Tell me fortune teller, where do you see me in the future?" He shrugged, "I would have to say either a Lawyer. Junior partner at a small but respectable firm, before you move on to bigger and better things. Or the owner of a strip club."
I laughed and shook my head, "The first one is closer. I have always liked Law. My grandfather wanted to get into it, never managed to do so though." He pulled open the door to our next class, holding it open for me. "Well my new friend, here is where we part ways but only temporarily." I smiled and walked to my desk. Things were beginning to pick up, just like Eric said they would.
At lunch I texted Eric to find out where he was. "Car," was his response. So I started heading that way. "Hey, wait up!" James said moving to catch up with me. "Lunch plans?" I asked him. He pulled his backpack across him to his chest and patted it gently. "I bring lunch with me." He slung his bag back across his shoulder. "What about you?" he asked me. "I don't usually eat at school. Breakfast ties me over until I get home and snack on something."
"Well with your little frame I would say you need to eat more. Working out wouldn't hurt you either. Get some meat on your bones. You're what? One ten soaking wet and fully clothed?" I flicked my ear and looked at him. "I'm one twenty-five actually, and I don't have to be a hulk." James grabbed my arm and felt it. "Dude, you're tiny. If one of those bigots attacks you, you wont have a chance." I lowered my ears and nodded in agreement.
"That happened yesterday actually. Torban had to come save me." He raised a brow, "Torban Jang? The wrestler? Kind of figured he was secretly gay. Would explain why he saved your ass." I looked at James, "Why would you think he was gay?" He chuckled and rubbed his chin, "Gaydar of course. Would have to be blind not to see he loves Eric Johnson. They do everything together, except date ladies. They don't date at all."
"I didn't start putting it together until yesterday. They each had the others scent on them. My gaydar must be broken." James shook his head, "You're just too withdrawn to notice you have gaydar is all. I picked you out the second I saw you." We walked into the parking lot and I spotted my guys standing next to the sedan. "I'm not your type?" I asked him.
"I have someone actually. Rem, the little fennec that people mistake for a girl." Eric pulled me into a hug. "You're dating Rem?" he asked James. He smiled and sat his bag on the ground to retrieve his lunch. "Yeah, a huge ping on the gaydar. Been dating since school started. Speaking of my boy, better find out where he is." He pulled his cell from his pocket with his right hand, holding a sandwich baggie in the other. Sending a text one handed, while using his teeth to pull open the zip lock bag to get to the sandwich.
"How has your day gone?" Eric asked me. I looked up at him, "Better than I thought it would actually." Torban moved from his conversation with a couple guys I saw him with yesterday to check on me. "No one hassling you?" I shook my head, "Everything is fine so far. Even made a new friend." I looked over at the guys with him. One of them was a snow leopard, he looked around nervously and took a breath trying to relax.
I recognized Brian, the kangaroo played basketball. The last guy in the group was a horse. He eyed me, and I laid my ears back. "Would you guys chill, no one is spying on us." Torban said. James looked up from his sandwich. "A gang of fags isn't that big of a deal. Unless you make it one." The horse snorted, "Would you please not be so loud." The snow leopard looked across campus nervously. James sighed and sat his sandwich on the hood of Torban's car. "Look, if they hassle you then you stare them down. If they hit you, you hit back harder and make damn sure they know you wont take that shit."
"So we're all gay?" I asked. The leopard's ears perked and the horse shot me a look. "Obvious isn't it? Safety in numbers, only reason these guys are out here with us. Otherwise they would be off living their lies." James said casually before returning to his sandwich. The leopard tensed hearing footsteps approaching. Rem ran up and hugged James while he was eating. "Who cares what they think? No sense in hiding any longer." Torban said plain and simple.
"Easy for you to say, you have the muscle. Basketball isn't exactly the kind of sport that builds strong arms." The leopard said. James sighed and quickly finished his sandwich. "You're no twig though. Kimber is, and you don't see him flipping out. The only thing he has is us. Just like Rem, before all he had was me to look out for him. Now we have a community, and believe it or not the support of more people over there than you think." He motioned back at the school.
"Quit being a bitch Mark and get over it. You're one of us, may as well live in the light instead of hiding in the dark." Rem snuggled into his boyfriend and smiled at him. "James has a point, and statistically we aren't the only fags here. If we build a support system we can all just live our lives and not worry about their BS." Eric said. Brian sighed, "Good point gang. Can we please just go somewhere and eat now?"
"And that's how we started a Gay Straight Alliance in our home town. Making some good friends, and influencing change for the better for years to come. All because Eric took initiative and organized us together." Eric smiled at me from across the table. Torban shrugged, "Would have been better if there was more sex involved. Your stories are always better with sex." I looked over at Victor, "There some more blanks are filled in. Despite the horn dog's desire for naughty sex scenes."
"Thanks for filling me in a bit more, but I really must be getting along. Running the risk of being late yeh know." He stood up and walked out of the room. "If you both hurry you can still make it to your next classes," Eric said. I looked at the time, we only had ten minutes to get on campus and into our classrooms. "Yeah, let's roll on guys," I said getting up to head to class. Eric followed suit, and for the first time in a while we all went to school together.
