This is my first story on this site, or any site like this, all constructive criticism welcome.

Don't you worry, never fear, for the yiff will soon be here. (from a bugs bunny cartoon with a slight change)

It is highly suggested that if you aren't 18 (or whatever the age is for your part of the world) you should find something better to do on the internet (like this is going to stop you).

Moonlight Feels Right

Chapter 1

It was a wonderful March day in the forest for camping, and that was exactly what a human family of four was doing at that moment. It was currently March break in central Ontario, and this family was fully enjoying the peace and tranquility of simply watching the sunset across a lake. This family was made up of a mother and father; both were in their early 30's at the time, and their son and daughter; twins and 12, all were lying on a hill, and despite the hour, they had all just woken up.

I suppose I should tell you why such was true, the mother and father; Janet and James respectively, were professional ninjas, and only worked at night, their children, called Leu and Sue but actually named Lucifer and Succubus (yes, James and Janet were very odd), just naturally adapted to the same sleep routine because they enjoyed having "breakfast" with their parents, even though it was normally 9:30 at night. They still went to school at the same time as any "normal" child; they just worked on the different sleep schedule.

Back in the woods, the sun had just disappeared over the horizon, and Leu sighed and said, "This really was a good idea, thanks for bringing us along."

"Same here." Sue added, James chuckled lightly and replied

"We had a felling the two of you would like this." It was the night after the full moon, March 15, 2013 to be specific (and my birthday incidentally), and they all wanted to see the nearly full moon as clearly as possible, but they couldn't see it another two or so hours.

Now, you might be thinking 'but wasn't the world supposed to end in late 2012', and you would be half right, turned out only how we all live in the world really changed that day, but a portal (or gateway if you prefer) opened to the world, and extending universe, I now live in. Yes, I used to be a human, but now I'm a half-dragon and love it, name's Raith by the way, but enough about me for now, I'm still telling a story.

Needing to do something, Janet suggested: "Anyone else feel like going for a swim?" the rest of the family felt it was a good idea, so they all discarded their clothing and ran for the water, jumping into the barely above freezing water, without a care in the world.

I'm not the best at describing other people, but I'll do the best I can; James and Janet didn't have much fat on them, just enough to keep them from being pure muscle, not that they wanted to look like body builders anyway, now that I think about it, they looked more like twins than their children, dark green eyes, jet black hair that they both kept down to about their mid backs, and the only way I can describe their faces is "simply perfect". Now, like I stated just now, Leu and Sue didn't look all that much like twins, Leu had dark, near-black hair, where Sue had dark, blood-red hair, but they did keep their hair the same proportional length as their parents, and they did have the same body type as their parents, but even odder, Leu had blood red eyes and Sue had lightly dulled silver eyes, no one could figure out why, but they didn't care, and their physical build was the same as their parents.

They weren't worried about seeing each other naked, or anyone seeing them naked, mostly because of how Canada decided to do away with laws, the way being: each citizen chose how they would follow laws, and it turned out that people with actual morals stuck to such, and the ones without actual morals were monitored very closely, most of Canada kept to morals and barely any were watched, this family did, and still does, have morals that they did follow, but I'll need to tell you about that later.

The cold water did help them to wake up all the more, the reason they had all gone in the lake was to get to a nearby peninsula a short swim away, but had they known what was lurking on the other shore, they would have stayed were they were, but then I wouldn't have a story to tell. Sometime after getting to the other shore, they chose a good spot to dry off on. After a short rest, Leu asked his sister: "hey sis? Do you think there are any blueberries close by?"

"I wouldn't mind going to look, you?"

"Why do you think I asked? But we'd best to tell mom and dad." But they didn't even need to ask

"You can go off and look if you like, just keep each other safe." Janet had overheard her children talking

"You know we will." They responded in unison while getting up to explore the area.

A short distance away in the direction the twins were heading, a werewolf had just woken up for his nightly scrounging up of food, normally a werewolf wouldn't be something to worry about, if they were known to exist at that time, but this one was an unfortunate soul that had turned feral when he first changed, and had never turned back, and as such was very dangerous, and he was also very hungry. At this moment, he heard sounds of potential food, the twins were talking to each other, "I know our night-vision is better than average, but I haven't seen any berries bro."

"Same here sis, there must not be any 'round here."

"Yeah, let's head ba-aaahhhh!" she was cut off by the werewolf jumping at her from the side.

"Sis!" Leu yelled, dashing back to where she was, she was trying to get what they both thought was an average wolf off of herself. Despite her best efforts, it had just bitten her on her upper-left arm, but fortunately it was a shallow bite, so it had to let go of her to get a better bite, this is when Leu managed to punch the werewolf in the side of its face. "Get off my sister!" he demanded, but it recovered quickly from his hit and swiped at him, making contact giving him three long claw marks across his chest, and slamming into a tree, he tried to get back up, but he was in too much pain to do anything. The werewolf turned his attention back to Sue, but before he could bite her again, James ran towards it and hit it very hard in the head, he had only meant to knock it out, but had hit it in the temple killing it near instantly. James then rushed to his daughter,

"Are you oaky Sue?"

"I'm oaky, just bruises and the bite marks, they aren't too deep, but Leu got hit into a tree." She pointed to where he was, he was still in pain, but had managed to stand up

"I'll need a good long rest, but I should be okay." He said somewhat weakly. Sue decided to help him walk back to the clearing, because he winced in pain on his first step, he thanked her for it.

Upon reaching the clearing, they were greeted by Janet "Are you both okay? No major injuries? No blood loss?" she said this while quickly looking them over, Leu tried to answer his worried mother

"we're fine mom, nothing serious, but I will need to rest for awhile, and I don't think we lost any blood at all."

"Oaky, but why do you need to rest?" she asked, lightly worried still

"got hit into a tree, it still hurts a touch." She decided to trust his self judgement

"okay than. Well, if you can stand for about ten more minutes, the moon will get out from behind that cloud." Pointing in the direction of a particular cloud

"I can last that that long." He responded with a slight grin. About five minutes later, the moon did emerge from behind the cloud. For a moment, Sue and Leu marvelled at the sight, and then they felt slightly sick, and noticed they had fur growing on their hands and arms. This fact was noticed by their father, and he realized it had been a werewolf that had attacked them, and knew it would be a better idea to restrain them just in case they turned out like the one that had been back there.

"Quick, hold on to one of them, just in case." Normally, trying to restrain a werewolf with your bare arms would be suicidal, but they had to try and keep themselves safe if needed, and they didn't have many options.

Leu and Sue were all but comatose during most of the changes their bodies were going through; they felt their noses and mouths become elongated, their ears move up to the tops of their heads and become triangular, their legs become digitigrade, their tails grow, and all the fur grow. The change only took two minutes, but it took another five for the children to regain their bearings, Leu was the first to say anything "Dad? I think...I think I'm okay, I'm not feral." He finished his statement with a relieved sigh, as did his father; he was then put back on solid ground. Sue was slightly less fortunate, when she tried to say something after her change, but the only sounds she was able to make were more suited to that of a normal wolf, I'll be nice to you and provide the translations. The first thing she said was:

"I'm oka..., dam it, now I can't speak English." She ended her statement with a wolfen whine and lowering her head, and then Leu noted:

"but I can understand you."

"You know what I'm saying bro?"

"Yeah, must be because of the change."

"That's great! Please tell mom and dad I'm not feral."

"Of course. She asked me to tell you she's not feral either." Their parents being unable to know what she had said had to take his word for it.

Right after she was put back on the ground, she walked to her brother, (despite it was her first time walking as a digitigrade, she encountered no problems) hugged him quite tightly, and asked him: "You think we can live like this the rest of our lives?"

"I think we can, even if we only have each other to rely on." Then their parents joined the hug, and Janet spoke softly to her children

"and you two have us, no matter what you are, we're still your parents." Soon after the family stopped hugging, they all admired the moon for about thirty seconds, because that's how long the children were able to keep from howling at it.
