So here is a cleaner version of chapter 7. Sorry for the messy errors in the first upload. I should know better than to edit at 2 in the morning! Please comment and critique to your heart's content! I hope you all enjoy!
Klaus checked the door behind him to reassure himself that he had, in fact, locked it. The winter break had gone by quickly and spring semester was beginning today. Of course, Miles once again had classes much earlier than he yet this time was his own doing. He did not have quite the course load this semester and would finish before Miles every day even with starting two hours later than the wolf. He smiled and fingered the small locket hanging from his neck, making sure that it was nestled safely between his shirt and fur as he made his way to Raine's car. Miles had gone through so much trouble to find the locket. The bunny was already to the point where he almost felt naked without it on his neck. Placing it on in the morning was as natural as putting the rings in his ear.
Raine smiled as he approached, reaching over and pushing his door open for him. "Well long time no see Klaus! How was your holiday? Your puppy get you something good for Christmas?" The tigress had her usual playful grin spread across her muzzle. Her hair had been trimmed to a pixie cut and she seemed to be even more jovial than usual.
"My, someone is certainly in a grand mood! You must have had a wonderful break yourself!"
"Well let's just say the ski resort I visited with the family was more than good to me. I happened to meet a lovely white wolf who seemed more than happy to keep me company." She winked as her grin was one of girlish delight. "Quite the change from that ass I was seeing I must admit!"
Klaus smiled at the comment. Raine had been livid when Klaus told her of what happened between them. He had actually been worried that she had become depressed until she came in one day grinning like a cat who had taken a bit too much nip. When he inquired as to why her demeanor had changed so rapidly she responded by informing him that Chance would be fucking about as quickly as he would be eating solid food again. Klaus did not have to press to find out more. It seemed that while Miles had fractured the stallion's jaw, Raine had just damaged something much more important to the equine. Needless to say Klaus's mood had elevated exponentially at the thought.
The two furs pulled up to the school and hurried to class in hopes of getting a more desirable seat, Klaus near the front where he could minimize distractions and Raine in the back where she could be a distraction. Klaus was just labelling his notebook when he noticed someone sit in the seat next to him. He would not have bothered looking up usually, yet something told him that this particular individual was staring intently at him. He glanced up and saw that he was in fact being stared at. The young beaver that had taken the seat beside him was watching him with an unwavering gaze. Klaus felt a peculiar itch behind his ear as he greeted the newcomer. "Umm... Hi there! Is something wrong? This wasn't your seat was it?"
The beaver jumped as if the question startled him. He fidgeted a bit as he turned to face the front of the room. His reply was soft-spoken and shy. "Oh! Uh no... I mean that wasn't my seat. I was just... Klaus right?"
Klaus nodded and smiled, reaching out his paw to shake that of the nervous castor. "You seem a bit nervous. Are you new here?"
The beaver shook his head slowly, breathing deeply as if to calm his nerves. "N-No... I usually get stuck in the back. I have taken classes with you since freshman year."
Klaus did seem to recall seeing him before. "Ah so you're just the strong, silent type? That is a bit odd coming from someone on the football team." This seemed to make him hold his breath for a moment.
"What?! How did you know I am on the team?"
Klaus pointed down at the beaver's backpack with a soft giggle. "Your practice jersey is sticking out of your bag. Which I find interesting since they usually do not allow players to take those home am I right?"
"Actually now they make us wash our own. Says it saves money in the long run and that it also teaches us responsibility, though I am not too sure about that last one... Oh and the name is Tony by the way..."
Klaus chuckled and nodded, "Yeah they are not usually too interested in instilling those types of values in their players... No offense. I think it is a good change!" Klaus smiled and it seemed that his new acquaintance was beginning to calm down around him. They exchanged small talk until class began and parted ways with a friendly pawshake initiated this time by Tony. Klaus was happy to have someone to talk to. The few he spoke to in the class usually stuck to the back so they could browse social media as the professor raves on about whatever topic they were supposed to be covering that particular session. It was good to have someone to waste the initial time before class with.
After the lecture had ended Klaus and Raine walked to their usual spot to sit down and have lunch. Raine resumed her usual habit of picking on random strangers when Klaus noticed someone looking their way. Chance was grinning in his direction, if you could call it a grin. His jaw was clenched and he held it as though it still pained him at times. The horse was accompanied by two large Rottweilers Klaus recognized as the Berg twins, Gerard and Gerhard. They were thick of both body and wit which made them perfect for the Southpaw U football team. The three furs noticed the bunny looking their way and turned to walk off, all laughing at some unheard joke. Klaus looked down thoughtfully and shook his head as he heard his name being spoken.
"Klaus? Are you even listening? Geez it's like talking to a brick wall sometimes... You would think that you would actually be interested in this... "
"I'm sorry... I just got distracted. What were you saying?"
"I was saying that I saw a certain bull this morning being drug around like he was on a leash by some little tart. A tart of the feline persuasion to be more accurate. It was quite funny to see such a big guy being scolded like a child."
"Brent?!" Klaus was on the very verge of laughter as he shifted forward brimming with curiosity. "Who was it? Did you know her? She must have been one scary cat if she could scold Brent without him blowing up at her... I bet it was a lion right? One of the foreign exchange students perhaps?"
Raine shook her head, the look of amusement increasing as her muzzle crinkled with her overzealous smile. "Actually it was a calico. Pretty cute one too. I got snippets of what she said and it was about him picking on some new kid on the football team. Not sure what I find more hilarious; the fact that she was chastising him or that he genuinely looked sorry for what he had done. It was quite the rare sight."
Klaus chuckled maddeningly as he pictured the bovine being reprimanded by a feline less than half his size. It was music to his ears that someone was finally putting Brent in his place. His tail twitched happily as he imagined the scene as Raine tried to give him all the details she could remember. The bunny could not help but giggle at every little thing, until he noticed a shadow block the sun from behind him.
His first thoughts were of Brent, yet as his gaze lingered on the shadow he noticed it was much too small to be the bull. His eyes focused on the tigress whose was staring curiously at the figure behind him. Incidentally, it was the tigress that spoke first. "Well look who we have here! I would say 'speak of the devil', but I really am tired of hearing that saying. What brings the great tamer of beasts to our humble little area of seclusion?"
Klaus turned to see a cute young calico cat smiling at the two of them. Her shoulder length sandy blonde hair framed a petite, almost perpetually curious face. She was definitely beautiful, if a little lacking in taste for men. Klaus smiled and stood to greet the newcomer, yet the feline spoke up first. "So... You must be Klaus. I must say you are quite the cutie! I just wanted to come over and say that Brent will no longer be any trouble for you. He was a bit upset about your boyfriend quitting the team and costing them the season, but I am sure your mate had good reasons. I told him that I did not want him holding that against you. I don't know who this mate of yours is but he has good tastes! I have to get going but I just thought I would let you know not to worry about Brent anymore! Bye you two!" With that she sauntered off, pulling out a bright red cloak and donning it as she padded away. Klaus could not help but envy the garment, it was quite a lovely shade of red.
Raine elbowed him laughing loudly. "Holy shit! What the hell was that?! I mean damn I had no idea she had him on such a short leash. I am surprised she didn't march him here to apologize in person."
Klaus giggled with delight as she went on and on about what she expected Brent to be like if that relationship continued. He had an image in his head of the bull bowing and scraping as the feline directed him around campus. "I would have been unable to contain myself if he had come in person! Oh wait until I tell Miles!"
"Yeah I'm sure puppy will love to hear this little tidbit of information! I would love to his face when he finds this out."
"Well then you and I have will both have to tell him! We can break the news over dinner tonight. Sound good?"
"You sir, have yourself a date! Hell maybe Miles will get lucky and have both of us." She winked as Klaus scowled playfully.
"Watch it. You know good and well that I don't share."
"I know, I know. You know I'm joking with you! Besides I doubt Miles would be interested anyway. Having a cutie like you on a nightly basis has to have spoiled him." She chuckled at the red showing through the fur of the bunny's cheek. "I suppose we need to move on or Dr. Sanders will have our asses."
"Oh... I forgot we had him next... Way to kill the mood Raine." The two furs walked to their next class in an uninterested hurry.
Miles shivered as he stepped through the doorway of his home. He heard laughter from the common room and was surprised when he heard Raine's mocking tone saying something he was relatively sure was a shot at him. He grinned as he stepped into the room and saw the tigress feigning innocence while Klaus giggled behind a forepaw. "Well now this is an unexpected surprise. To what do I owe the pleasure of your company Raine? I suppose you followed my mate home again?"
"Actually your mate invited me for dinner! So I guess you will just have to deal with me won't you puppy?"
Miles chuckled and mussed Klaus's hair lovingly, "Babe you know once we feed her she will never go away right?" The wolf gave Raine a toothy grin as he nestled in beside his mate.
Raine glared and stuck her tongue out before falling into another fit of playful laughter. "You win this round puppy. You seem to be on the ball today! Klaus has obviously kept you in good spirits!"
"Of course!" The wolf placed an arm around the bunny, kissing his cheek softly. Klaus blushed as he smiled up at the canine. Miles' heart beat wildly at the sight of that smile. "How could I not be happy when I get to come home to this every day?"
"Ok. Too mushy boys. I think we should move on to talk about dinner. I'm starving so I think we should decide what we are going to do about this situation."
Klaus spoke up eagerly, "I actually have that taken care of! Though my wonderful lover will have to do a bit of cooking..."
Miles smiled and nodded in assent. "I guess burgers it is then! I'll get on that now babe."
"How did he know? Were you two already planning on cooking tonight?" Raine asked with slight astonishment. "I thought you two did not have anything planned."
"Oh we didn't! I just mixed everything up while you were talking to your dad on the phone. Miles happens to have a fantastic sense of smell." Klaus smiled as the wolf disappeared into the kitchen. He turned to Raine and the two spoke fervently on a particularly interesting lecture they had received on the internal struggles of the modern serial killer. A gruesome topic to begin a class with, yet it definitely gave them high hopes that the rest of the course would be just as interesting.
Sometime later Miles stepped out of the kitchen with a flourish. "Dinner is served." He held the door as Klaus and Raine joined him. They sat down and Raine wasted no time in regaling Miles with her story about Brent and his new flame. Miles was dumbstruck at what he heard. "Seriously? Wow this chick must be something else... You said she was a feline? Never really saw Brent as someone to be dominated by anyone, much less a cat."
"Yeah she is something else, that's for sure. I mean she even told bunny that Brent would not bother him again."
Miles chuckled and smiled at the bun beside him. "Well I will have to thank her for that one. "
Klaus nodded, "Yeah she was really nice! A bit headstrong, but she seemed to have good intentions. She also had this beautiful red cloak that she wore, I must admit I think I could pull it off!"
Raine sighed, rolling her eyes playfully, "Everything looks good on you bunny. Don't even pretend that it doesn't."
Klaus blushed and the two went back and forth as Miles sat silently, no longer hearing the two. Red cloak...feline...It couldn't be... Flashes from the encounter at the old badger's shop danced across his vision. He shook the thoughts out of his head before the other two even noticed his mental absence. He joined in the conversation and the three continued on into the late hours of the evening.
When Klaus and Miles finally retired to their bed the wolf returned to his silent ponderings. Klaus had his arms wrapped around his mate and was breathing the peaceful rhythm of sleep. Miles stroked a forepaw up and down his lover's back as he stared thoughtfully at nothing in particular. Thoughts of Allahna and their meeting in the small oddities shop still played inside his head. The fur that Raine had described was most certainly his old friend, yet he could not understand why she hadn't mentioned that she had transferred here. He knew her mother was sick, yet she had told him she was just here to be with her. Is it that serious? Why didn't she say something...? Allahna obviously still had not forgiven him.
He sighed and looked down at the bunny cuddled up next to him. The wolf knew he had no reason to worry about this. Klaus was his future, and he would never change anything he had done as it had led him to the bunny he loved so dearly. The fact that Klaus was here beside him, his arms wrapped tightly around the wolf's waist, was enough to help Miles push away the thoughts of Allahna. He kissed the top of his mate's head, pausing to breath in the bun's scent. The fragrance filled his muzzle and brought on a sense of peace that only Klaus could bring. Miles nodded off with his nose buried within the bunny's silky hair.
Weeks passed by and the chill of winter slowly gave way to the warm presence of spring. Klaus had not seen the interesting feline that held Brent's leash since that day, though he always seemed to be looking for her, even if for no other reason than to see her with the bull. He was positive that interacting with them together would be quite the experience. His classes had proved themselves none too worrisome as of yet and Tony had begun to open up. It turns out the beaver was quite the talker. He had joined the football team because of his father who had made that the one stipulation for paying his tuition. Tony was not too friendly with the others on the team and even avoided them when not forced to interact during practices or workouts.
The two had been put together in a group project with Raine and an aloof ferret named Melvin who always seemed to be fidgeting with his phone. Incidentally this meant that they all ended up exchanging cell numbers in order to keep up with one another's progress. Klaus, Tony, and Raine decided to take the bulk of the grunt work while Melvin would present to their peers. The ferret was surprisingly well spoken when he was forced to be which meant speaking would be ideal for his contribution to the project. Melvin opted out of the meetings so it was up to the other three to work on the meat of their presentation.
Tony and Klaus both worked long into the night in an attempt to increase their resource material to back up their information while Raine seemed determined to nod off at any given chance. Klaus quickly came to call Tony a friend and was happy that he had the beaver's mellow attitude to even out the intense energy of the tigress' own personality. Night after night they worked in order to complete the prescribed objectives. The end result being that the four furs received outstanding marks in all aspects. Even Melvin shocked everyone by giving an oration worthy of a Churchill speech. They left class that day with smiles that threatened to split their heads in two.
Miles had become increasingly happy to see his mate making friends so easily. The bunny had been through too much to not have others in his class that he could relate to. The wolf smiled as his mate went on about his new friends and their success at presenting their chosen topic. Klaus had almost talked himself to sleep that night, would have if not for the intervention of one loving mate. Miles had stared at those lips long enough. They had given so much attention to words that now it was his turn to be the object of their attention. He pressed his muzzle firmly onto his mate's. Klaus gave in immediately, the wolf's advances more than a welcome change.
The two lay in bed kissing and cuddling, their clothes seeming to fall off at the slightest tug. Klaus found his mate full and hard as he ran his paw over the thick shaft. His muzzle found the tip of the heated member and the bunny ran his tongue softly down to the base. He took his time, savoring every lick as the taste of pre filled his maw. He slid the canine cock into his open maw and pressed his lips firmly to the base. Miles pressed his hand lightly on the back of the bunny's head as he moaned loudly. Klaus held back a giggle and instead let out a low moan around the thick member. The vibrations caused Miles to thrust hard into the bun, pushing himself deeper into his mate's throat. Klaus pulled of as he gagged slightly at the force of the canine's thrust. His smile assured the wolf that he was okay.
Klaus climbed up and kissed Miles deeply, letting their tongues dance as their paws explored. Miles pushed his mate down and ran his tongue up the inside of the bunny's thigh. The wolf did not stop when he reached the soft, furry orbs and instead took them gently into his maw. He sucked softly as he listened to the moans of his mate. Klaus squirmed and felt his head spin as Miles took the bunny's cock into his maw. He moaned and thrust his hips into the wolf's warm muzzle. He thought he would surely cum when Miles released his member and took his wandering tongue elsewhere. The bun felt the warm, wet tongue begin to tease and poke at his tight hole. It was pure ecstasy as the canine's tongue pressed into him. Klaus tugged hard on his mate's ears, pulling him up as he gave the wolf a smile that cued what was to come next.
Miles smiled and kissed his mate, entering him without hesitation. Klaus moaned and whimpered as his hole was stretched around the thick cock. He squirmed and grasped the fur of the wolf's chest tightly as the shaft pressed further into him. Miles kept his pace slow and steady, unusual for one so instinctual yet Klaus loved every moment of it. The bunny moaned and panted as his lover continued to press in and out of him with a strong, steady pace. It was no surprise when Klaus felt the swelling knot begin to tug at his entrance as it slid in and out of him. Miles reached up and stroked the bunny's ears sending shudders of pleasure arcing through him. Klaus was blinded by pleasure as he felt himself explode, showering them with his seed. It was at this time that Miles buried his knot deep into his mate as he reached his own climax. Klaus lay breathless as Miles filled him eagerly. He pulled the wolf on top of him and shifted to force him to lay on his side. Here they held one another, tied as two lovers should be. They slept with only those thoughts that young furs in love should have, waking up grudgingly as the outside world called.
Klaus's head was in the clouds as he met Raine outside. The tigress poked fun about the smile the seemed glued to his face. He giggled and danced around the subject as best he could. In fact the entire day seemed brighter as his mind remained on the night before. He was shocked to look up from his blank notebook and see that lecture had ended. Tony had already left and Klaus felt a pang of regret as he knew he had unintentionally blown off any attempts at conversation on the part of the beaver. He noticed Tony's practice jersey lying on the floor and decided to make it up to him by taking it out to him. He sent a text to his friend and waited patiently for a response, one that came rather quickly.
Tony had rushed out in order to make it to a team meeting and asked if Klaus could bring the jersey to the old athletic building that the teams used for spring training; he would meet the bunny just outside. Klaus sighed and made the journey towards the building, which housed the team's locker room. It smelled of dirt and sweat, a scent which only smelled nice on his mate. He waited outside the entrance for an hour before he reached into his pocket and took out his phone. A text from Tony apologized for the wait and asked that Klaus leave the jersey on one of the benches inside the locker room, assuring him that no one would be there. Klaus hesitated. Go inside the locker room? Really Tony? The bunny knew how sketchy this request was, yet supposedly this locker room was used by more than one sports team for its closeness to the gym. Klaus looked once more at the message. Tony... You owe me... He walked in and started down the short hallway. No one was here, and he could trust Tony. They were friends, yet why the doubt?
