Collars?

I laid on the couch for about an hour before Nikki actually showed up. I was just about to fall asleep when the doorbell rang. Figures. But I just stretched and yawned and got to my feet, walking over to the door slowly. I opened it, shivering in the cold air that rushed into the living room as soon as I did, and smiled down at Nikki. She was standing out on the front porch bundled up in... a coat? God, I didn't know they made coats that ridiculously big. In fact, the only way I could identify the giant brown lump as a person was the face slightly concealed by a much too large hood. My little sweetie.

"Heya, Runt," I said with a grin. From the way the figure shook and the face under the hood made a grimace, I was sure it was Nikki. She hated it when I called her that, but she never stopped me. "Whatcha got there?"

Nikki looked down at the black plastic bag in her hand, before looking out from under the hood and smiling up at me. "You'll see." She said simply. "Now can I come in? I'm freezing my ass off out here."

I laughed, before moving so she could come in. It took a minute for her to squeeze through the door in that enormous jacket, but once she was through, I quickly shut the door. I moved back over to the couch, flopping back onto it and watched as Nikki took the jacket off, revealing her rather uninteresting outfit. A long sleeve shirt and a pair of blue jeans that looked about two sizes too big. I smirked. They were mine. I stood up a minute later, walking over to her and picking her up in my arms, kissing her deeply. She slipped her tongue into my mouth for about a minute before we ended the kiss and I set her back down and sat down on the couch. She joined me and leaned her head against my shoulder.

Nikki shook her head after looking me over. "What are you wearing?" She said with a short laugh. "Those shorts look a little too small."

I didn't answer, merely grinning back at her. She laughed again, before picking up the bag. "So, Jen... wanna see what I got you?" She asked, pulling out a large, giftwrapped box. I sat up, leaning forward a little as she set it on the little coffee table in front of the couch and sat down next to me.

"What is it?" I asked, reaching forward to grab the box. She didn't answer, smiling up at me oddly. I raised an eyebrow, but shook it off and ripped the paper off the box. Once I had gotten the top of the box off, I looked into it to see a pair of collars.

"Uh... collars?" I looked back at Nikki. She grinned, but said nothing for a moment. Finally, she opened her mouth to speak, with a grin I'd swear belonged more on that cat from Alice and Wonderland than my girlfriend.

"Oh yes. Collars."
