THE DOUBLE LIFE OF TAILS PROWER

~~~Chapter One: Innocence lost twice~~~

During the final weeks of the Freedom Fighters campaign against Robotnik and his metallic empire: The struggle for survival was dire for those who weren't in Knothole. Robotnik had sent armies of SWAT bots to burn every discovered refugee camp to the ground. Colonies of the Freedom Fighters were thinning out as one by one they were wiped out completely.

Running through the forest was Tails Prower. He had gone through hell and back in his search for his beloved twin sister: Sarah. Finding her is the sole thing on his mind. How ever in the back of his mind after his trip back through time, he discovered he isn't so unique any more as now two of him exist in the same place from two different time lines.

Although Tails wanted nothing more to do with the altering of time itself, he'll soon have to face the consequences to his actions. All this was done to be with the one who he loved. It will be his curse. It will be his blessing. But one thing's for sure: He'll find Sarah no matter what.

As Tails was lost in his train of thought, an explosion just barely missed him and he was flipped a few times into the air. As he spun his tails to stabilize himself, he frowned as he searched for the caused of the explosion. A stray SWAT bot.

"What on Mobius is this robot doing in the middle of no where?!" Tails grumbled to himself.

Tails darted through the air towards the standard SWAT bot. An expected response from the robot was it to raise its arm and fire a laser beam at the intruder. While flying in mid-air, Tails simply kicked the laser arm upward to cause the red beam to be flung into the air. Then straight after, he did a spin kick to the back of the robot's head to force it face first into the ground.

The SWAT bot was easily disabled. He had deposed of better quality machines than this. One specific one he would never want to mention again as the emotional pain was too great to relive. It had changed Tails. It had made him a little more ruthless than before. It was a complete contrast to his former, cheery self.

Sure enough, the SWAT bot was not alone. Although Tails' presence was detected, the rest of the swat bots were too busy attacking a village. Chaos was every where as people fled from the compassionless machines that assaulted their huts. Fire raged from inside one hut while a family tried to escape. Flames flickered an intense, red glow. It all made Tails see red. It angered him.

Bolting forward by the force of his spinning tails, Tails went to go help keep the robots at bay while many of the villagers made their escape. Kicking one SWAT bot in the face before spinning off to tail whack the next. The metallic menaces soon drew their attention to their two-tailed attacker.

Although Tails knew Sonic had the speed advantage all these years against these robots, he had mastered taking them out another way: using their predictability against them. Jumping between two SWAT bots, he gave a smirk as they both raised their arms to fire. Then flipping up into the air just as they fired at each other. Shaking his head after landing, Tails commented, "I bet even I could build smarter ones."

Looking around for the next SWAT bot he could trash, it seemed all Tails could see and hear were the flames licking away at most of the village. It was kind of odd for them just to give up so easily. Some thing was up and he kept well on alert. Soon enough he heard a sound that chilled him to the bone: the sound of hover tanks. "You've got to be kidding me." He couldn't believe the trouble Robotnik was going to wipe out a single village.

Tails did not hesitate to leave the burning camp behind. Fleeing into the forest where the rest of the villagers escaped to. He heard the opening salvo of laser fire that levelled what was left of the village behind him. He just hoped every one got out alive before it was too late.

Back at Knothole village. Tails of the past and gang were just proceeding with their evening rituals before bed. Nothing really out of the ordinary. Sonic would prepare to leave in the middle of the night to ambush another one of Robotnik's plans while Sally was to meet with the head of freedom fighter town near by. It was as if life continued on with out the influences of the pseudo future.

Tails finished brushing his teeth as he was about to hop into bed. After drawing back the covers, Sally Acorn walked in to check to see if he was being a good fox and going to sleep as he was suppose to. With his facial features brightening up as she walked in, he exclaimed, "Aunt Sally!" Before jumping over to hug her, "Good night Aunt Sally."

Tails had grown quite close to Sally - closer than to Sonic even - and his affection towards her showed that. She had been the closest thing to family to him even though she was not. As Tails withdrew from the hug and went over to his bed to be tucked in, Sally soon replied, "Good night Tails." Tucking him in and softly kissing him on the forehead, "Sweet dreams and I'll see you in the morning."

With that, Sally dulled the lighting and slipped outside. Sonic

zipped through the village and stopped on a dime right behind her,

"Tails asleep, Sal?"

Sally smirked as she turned around to face him, "Yes Sonic. Are we

ready to get going?"

"You know me Sal. I'm always ready."

"Good, we better get going and make the most from the cover of night.

Robotnik seems to be very active lately for some reason. Some thing's

up."

"Well I agree. But we're not going to make any sense of things by

standing around here. I'll drop you off at the village before heading

over to Robotropolis to see how 'iron lips' is doing." Sonic picked

Sally off her feet and into his arms, "Let's juice and jam!" He added

before before taking off into the distance.

The moon was half out this night. It was really a full moon but the hazy smoke from the smouldering village in the distance partially blocked out the moonlight. Tails of the future sat on a log in front of a gentle creek to catch his breath from running away so fast. Apart from the odd faint explosion from the village, all he could hear were the crickets and the trickling of the creek.

Tails stared down at the creek as if in deep thought. All he could really see was the rippled moon's reflection off the creek. Glancing at the torn poncho wrapped around his shoulder, his thoughts would soon turn into about Sarah. What would he do when he find her? What if his past self ran into him again? How to prevent the future from happening all over again? He had stopped Evil Tails right from the start in this time line, but was that enough? All these questions dwelled inside his head as his two tails flicked calmly behind him as he sighed and stared.

Parts of the demolished village started bobbing up and down in the creek as they drifted pass. One of the shattered pieces of wood washed up upon the bank near Tails. Getting up slowly and walking over to the debris to pick it up out of curiosity, Tails soon flipped it around to see what it was. It was a broken sign that must have been blown into the water by the explosions. Tails began to softly read the sign aloud to himself, "Azure Fish Market."

He sighed as he tossed the engraved plank away as he soon lost interest with it, commenting as he sat back down, "Guess they're no longer going to need the sign since the place is non-existent."

Tails suddenly came to realisation to what he must do a few moments later. "The only way I can avoid my past conflicting with my future... Is to not exist at all." Pausing as he looked at his paw before continuing on explaining to himself aloud, "I must become some one else."

Jumping up from the log, Tails knew what he had to do. His motivation to find Sarah was at an all time high as he dashed into the forest to once again continue his search for her.

Back at Knothole. Tails was sleeping soundly in his hut along with the others; each in their own huts. It was some time after Sonic and Sally left. The door to Tails' hut creaked as a shadowy figure entered through the darkness. Cautiously that figure made its way over to his bed where he was watched for a few moments. Lighting up a candle so dim, the light was barely enough to reveal brown furred face that belonged to Sally.

Slowly, Sally went head first under the covers of Tails' bed at the opposite end. Her shape making an extra lump under the covers as she settled beneath them. She guides her fingers along the fur of his legs gently before resting them on his inner thighs. Using her hands to part his legs, she reached down with her head to lick upon his sheath.

Tails subtly squirmed while asleep as Sally coaxed his member from his sheath. Licking from the base up as his shaft erected in his sleep. Once she was satisfied with its length, she immediately sunk her lips over it. This caused him to groan in his sleepy state as she began to bob her head up and down his length beneath the sheets. Tails soon began to slowly awake. He would moan half asleep as his paws would reach down towards his groin from the activity. She continued to bob up and down his entire length until he began to squirm noticeably more. He was about to blow his load and she knew it.

As Sally was about to pull away, she was suddenly forced back down all the way on Tails' shaft. She made a surprised yet muffled 'mmmph' sound as she was pinned in between his legs with the throbbing fox meat in her throat. Tails began to squirm and jerk even more so as seed came rushing up his length towards Sally's orifice. He released forcefully into her throat as he held her there beneath the sheets. Having no other choice, she would shut her eyes and swallow the rich, fox cum as it pumped load after load into her maw.

Once Tails finished releasing into Sally's mouth, his grip on the back of her head loosened and he left her impaled on his length. Tails was now in conscious state as he peered through the dim light to see who had just made him feel like that. He blinked a few times before he exclaimed, "Aunt Sal-!"

She had covered his mouth before placing an index finger against her lips as a gesture to be silent. She released her hand from his mouth before reaching over to whisper in his ear, "Your turn."

Pulling back, she turned herself around on the bed while on all fours and exposed her behind to him. Looking back at him with a seductive smile as her wet slit awaiting his touch.

Meanwhile back in the forest, the other Tails darted through the trees using his tails to propel him forwards. He managed to spot villagers still running from the pursuing SWAT bots. Some had already been captured and sent to Robotropolis for processing. How ever there was a small group that caught Tails' eye. At that instant, he had a little flash back to the first day he met Sarah as he recognised one of the refugees from that day. Only trouble was he could not locate Sarah.

Tails wasted no time in confronting the determined robots as he used his feet to bounce off a tree and spin-balled into all three of the SWAT bots that were after the refugees. Landing on his feet, he took a moment to recover as the robots he had assaulted toppled over from the attack. It was then he heard a familiar cry for help. Instantly he turned his head to the direction the plea was coming from and leapt into the sky to take flight.

From the sky Tails spotted another SWAT bot in the direction of the cry. It seemed to be firing its weapon at a hallowed tree. Swooping down, he thought it wouldn't take much for him to knock off another one of Robotnik's tin goons. Boy was he wrong. The robot swung its arm into the air and immediately fired towards him. Quickly he dodged the laser beam and the next. Using the trees as cover as he descended. Once on the ground he hid behind a tree to catch his breath and peered around to see where the robot was. It was gone.

Tails didn't like the feeling of not knowing where his enemy was. He peered around the tree a couple more times before he crept out into the open towards the hollowed tree. It was like the SWAT bot disappeared all together. Cautiously Tails made his way to the hollow tree's opening to see if any one was inside. More importantly, to see if Sarah was inside. Coming out of the hollowed tree was a girl. Tails' heart sank as the girl was not Sarah, but a feline refugee.

Just as Tails was about to greet the girl, another refugee behind her came out from the hollow tree and lit up Tails' facial features with a joyful smile. He ran over while calling out, "Sarah!"

She looked the same as he saw her the first day they met. Even in the moonlight he could describe her form. Her fur was amber in colour as well as it looked soft and smooth to the touch. Her facial features consisted of sympathetic, azure eyes with an innocent smile. A traditional reddish-brown poncho covered her upper body with a matching cloth belt for the lower end. As soon as he got close to her, he would wrap his arms around her and stroke the back of her head, "Sarah. I'm glad I found you."

Sarah was in a mix of feelings at this moment. She had just be traumatized by the destruction of her village. She was being hunted down along with the rest of the refugees. Now some stranger she did not know came to her rescue and began hugging her. She didn't know what to think. Although she found it comforting to be in the arms of another of her species. "I don't mean to be mean or ungrateful. But who are you?"

She received no answer as Tails threw them both to the ground as an explosion shattered a near by tree into splinters. Lifting his head up to see the feline refugee scared out of her mind, not knowing where to go. Tails turned to Sarah as he yelled in a panic, "What's her name?"

Sarah quickly responded, "Halley."

Tails shouted her name out, "Halle-!" But he was cut off when another fiery blast impacted next to her.

Tails cringed as he couldn't save her while Sarah became more emotional as she saw her friend disappear into flames, "Halley no!" She screamed.

"Come on." Yelled Tails as he picked Sarah up with him. She looked like she was about to burst into a teary fit, but they had no time for that. They weren't safe being so exposed in the open, they needed to find a safer place to hide and quick. "The swat bot must of called for reinforcements. We have to get out of here."

Three SWAT bots and a hover tank navigated slowly through the trees. Through the dim moonlight, they relied on their motion sensors and night vision to track their targets. An earth-shattering noise erupted from the cannon of the hover tank as it fired again. Their programmed response wanted this threat eliminated as soon as possible after the loss of multiple units in a short succession of time. The unfeeling machines swiftly opened fire with all they had.

Red lasers streaked by as Sarah and Tails ran for their very lives. He felt she was lagging behind and couldn't keep up. When the tell tale signs of incoming fire was imminent, he grabbed her around the waist before leaping into the air. Just as he took flight, the ground below turned into a hellish red before they were both engulfed in black, choking smoke. They might of survived the initial explosion, but the smoke took its toll as it blinded and suffocated them.

Tails tried his hardest to keep them both in the air. How ever, his gasping lungs struggled with a lack of breathable air. They soon cleared the toxic cloud. Tails maintained a stable flight for a few moments before he started losing altitude. Just as they were about to hit the ground, he blacked out and lost consciousness. Both of them coming in on a hard landing and tumbled about a couple of times.

By the time Tails regained consciousness, he could not see a thing nor could he move. He felt his back pinned against some thing solid and metal how ever. He squirmed a couple of times to make out what was holding him down as it felt soft. It wasn't long until he called out, "What's happening? Where am I?"

He was promptly silenced briefly as he received a reply in the form of a whisper, "Shh. Not so loud. They might hear us."

"Sarah?" He quietly inquired.

"Now you've got to tell me how you know my name. I've never met you before."

Tails fell silent before he asked again, "Where are we?"

"I'll answer your question as soon as you answer mine." She paused as if waiting for a response from him but never received one, "Firstly, who are you? What's your name?"

"I... I'm..." Tails didn't know what to say at first. He had a dilemma on his hands. Would he tell her who he really was at the risk repeating the mistakes of his past. Or lie to the one he truly loved. "My name is-"

"Just tell me already."

"Azure." Was the first word that came to his mind, "Prower." Cringing as he said his last name as it wasn't intentional. What was certain was that he had chosen the path he would take and have himself known as 'Azure' to cover up his past.

"Azure Prower? You're..?"

"Yeah. I'm a... distant relative of yours. I was told a while ago about you."

"Oh wow. I didn't know I had any." There was a moment of silence before she asked another question, "So how come you were searching for me? I never saw you in the village I fled from."

"I came to protect you. It seems I came just in time."

Sarah was stunned at his response. Although he did just that, she didn't expect that to be the sole purpose he came for her. Her only friend lost in front of her very eyes. She was in a vulnerable position. She had her doubts, but felt comfort by his words.

Before Sarah was able to get another word in, Azure - as he was now known as - asked one more time, "Can you tell me where we are now?"

"After we fell. I tried to wake you. Not able to do that I quickly dragged you into the empty space of one of these robots. It was missing it's head for some reason, so it made it easier for us hide inside it. Although we just barely were able to fit inside this thing."

A spark from one of the disconnected wires lit up the small compartment before it flickered back in to darkness just as quickly. In that split second Azure saw a mess of wires, broken circuits and Sarah lying face down on top of him. Sounds of Robotnik's hover tanks passing by in the distance had the two foxes on edge as they kept quiet inside the shell of a SWAT bot.

After the terrifying sounds silenced, the two settled down once again. Azure untangled his arms from the wires and placed them around Sarah. He didn't intend to be with her like this, but at least being with her once again was good enough for him. Sarah felt awkward when he first hugged her before. How ever she was finding it to be more comforting as she felt that little bit safer.

Finally one of them spoke after the long silence, "You okay there?" Asked Sarah.

"I think. Though my back is killing me against this hard surface." Replied Azure a moment later.

"I'm sorry about that. I didn't have much time and had to put you inside first." An idea came to her a moment later, "Here." She said as she took off her clothing and managed to slip it around his back in an awkward way giving their mobility was limited by the tight spaces, "I hope that helps."

"Thanks. Feels much better." By now they were holding each other naked. Sarah didn't think any thing of it at first. That was until Azure asked her, "Have you ever thought of being with another fox?"

"Me?" She blushed in the darkness before she shyly stumbled on, "I. Well. There is no other foxes in my village."

"What about me?"

"You? I only just met you."

"I know."

She smiled and gave him a peck on the cheek, "But you do look kinda cute from what I can tell."

Slowly Azure went to kiss her upon the lips and all questions ceased from then on. Sarah didn't care as the feeling of love overwhelmed her. Both giving in to their desire.

Azure placed his paws on either side of Sarah's face gently. Tilting his head to the side as he kissed her slowly in a loving way. Sliding his paws back around her back. It wasn't long before his member came out of his sheath and prodded against her as an erection formed.

Sarah was a little surprised when she felt some thing poking her but was too busy being swept up in the passionate kiss. She held her paws at his shoulder and rubbed the back of his head as she embraced him. Their bodies warming up together in the cool air quiet nicely.

Ploughing through some bushes before being confronted with the burning remains of a village, Sally Acorn stood there with a wide-eyed shock. Sonic walking up next to her a moment later and gazed at the flickering flames unimpressed. Sally in disbelief as she spoke, "Oh my gosh."

"They wouldn't of stood a chance." Added Sonic as he kicked a near by rock, "Come on Sal. We better check out what's going on at Robotropolis. We'll get to the bottom of this!"

Sally shook her head in response as she replied, "No. We better get back to Knothole. I have a feeling it is only going to get worse."
