Walking along black sandy shores. I look out it sea searching for something anything to help fill these holes in my heart. Just then as I look out it see a wooden crate wash up on to the beach. Wondering I walked up it. I heard yelps and yeps coming for it. I looking thru an air hole and saw a big black nose sniffing the air. Whatever's in this box it's needs help I thought finding a large log. Then poking it thru an air hole. i heard then animal started whimpering. don't worry buddy I'll got you out there with that I pushed down on the log, cracking the lid of the crate open and out leaped a fox. That right a fox he looked right me. And started talking to me. Hi there, thanks for the help. It was getting cramped in there. My jaw hung open for a bit tile I finally stammered animals don't talk. he answered back actually we do you just don't listen. uh? well, ok, why were you in that crate anyway? You ok? Where did come from? The fox answered oh I'm fine. Better then you by the look of things. I snap Hey what do mean by tha. He cut me off. Clam down I just saw your feet. They look awful. I sighed yeah, looking at my feet. They did hurt. my sandals had busted a few days ago. so I was bare foot. pulse my feet had small cuts on them and they stung from walking in the surf. but I ignored it. I'm fine i said. the fox nodded ok. Then I ask again so why were you in that crate someone's idea of a cruel joke? I said shrugging my shoulders. oh no nothing like that. More like a boat he laughed. More or like the only way to get the all the way over here he laughed I live far off from here there the shores look as if made of snow. And its water's are clear the sand is soft and warm nothing like this that answer your question? He caught me lost in thought uh hello you in there? uh, what? Oh yeah well it's getting late. if you need to talk I'll be staying over there. I looked over to where he's paw was pointing it was a cliff side nothing but a solid wall of rock . I looked back at the fox i don't see anythi just then a cave formed inside the cliff side I stared at it. How did? Who are you? the fox started to walk to the newly formed cave then I look back at me. Now that is a good question isn't it? he smiled warmly and headed into the cave. after a while I headed home so well. the next day was a Monday a school day, oh joy. After getting a sneakers and my backpack I headed out my school wasn't far but walking along the shoreline was a great shortcut using it I got there in half the time unless I sleep in too late. life at my school. oh boy, don't get me started. I barely passed me half classes and my Junior
year in college wasn't looking too good either it was just the same old drama. Bullies left and right so I did what I always did. started put up walls to block out everyone around me out. the day turned into weeks I'd see the fox along a shore every morning one such I watched him fish he just catch a huge fish. and set at my feet I was hungry I had to miss breakfast and had over slept. good catch I said thanks. it's for you, take it. No it's yours I can't, Take it terry a blessing from me to you. uh, ok thanks. I took the fish and ate it raw. as I walked to class a wondered. Wait how did the fox my name. that day in p.e we were running basketball drills. after awhile the some assholes started playing keeping away with me. teasing, pushing me around. Finally i grabbed him with my thumb thru a hole in his shirt he was going nowhere with my left balled up, I was ready to teach this asshole a lesson. not to I miss with me. but as I pull my arm back ready to take the punch that would cut him down like he had done to me all year. I start moving my arm forward, when I saw the fox holding my hand back with him paw. And speaking stop don't it's not worth it. I unballed my fist and put the jerk in close. and said you're not worth it. I said him LEAVE ME ALONE! and walk off. just then the bell rang. So I grabbed my things and ran off home but i stop at the shore I called for the fox HEY YOU! i yelled HEY FOX WHERE ARE YOU!! He walked out of his cave. you yelled? YEAH why? tell me why did you stop me and don't play dumb i saw you! why!? I had him right there damn it! I had him! AND WHAT WOULD IT PROVE!! uh! that you can act just as dumb as he can? I don't know, I said claiming down. I sighed, I just don't know. The fox started talking again. you woke me up by the way, oh sorry. It's ok your just venting. I'm a fox I listen well for my ears are big and long come find when your walls turn to glass I tell me what you see then, wall? what walls he spoke relaxed your afraid if getting hurt so you put up i cut him off walls! i sniped what makes you think you know me, screw you! with that I storm off and head home. weeks past I didn't take the shortcut along the shore I didn't want to see the fox at all then one day these bullies push me until I can't take anymore one says something I don't recall I had surrounded myself with walls that just shattered into glass and all I saw myself and all those holes in my heart scared and in tears I ran out of class away for the school back to the shore and walked up to the fox's cave there. i stopped wait maybe he's mad at me i have been jerk to him so I just sat outside his cave sighing I spotted a weird stone my right looked like a tombstone tall and round but it had A craving of an eye on it I stared at it for a long while in wonder tile fox stood behind me and spoke the eye of truth pairs into heart into mind i started crying and without thinking I hug the fox he just murred I've been such a jerk I'm so sorry i cried he murred it alright forgive you now come it'll be raining soon. I crawl into the cave fallowing the fox. As he walks into the cave i laughed a little as i saw living room rug with a fire place. it was large enough so i could sit down legs crossed as the fox laid down he sat from me. nice place i smiled. thanks so tell me what did you see. I saw my shelf broken and alone. from there we just talk for hours about everything and anything after the storm ended we both headed out of the cave and stood outside I spoke to the fox there something you so familiar about you, what's name? he smiled But terry you know my name. what? i stood there. yes he said as i started piecing it together I know you're confused, scared just like your forefathers were. Forefathers? I asked. Yes my son. I spoke with Adam then Abram and appeared before Moses as the burning bush, I've walked beside the twelve. Peter, John, Paul. just to name a few. Terry you ok? i stood there shaking no way he laugh actually it's Yahweh, Yahweh as in the Jewish word meaning god! yes sir he wagged he tail. but why a fox? He laughed we both know there your favorite animal. What better way to talk with you. I...I got to go with that i rushed home not thinking. After eating dinner and getting ready for bed I started to pry wondering. Dear god what going on. I'm I seeing things or going just crazy. My eyes open to voice outside my window you're not crazy. I open the window to see the fox outside hey there stand back I'm coming in I stood clear of the window and he leaped into my bedroom so I'm not crazy? The fox said I'll prove it asking something only you would know. Ok I whispered to fox and his answered it really is you. Wow .he smiled come. I want to show you something. I headed out of my house and followed the fox to the shore when we got there it had all changed the sand now white as snow the water clear I took off my shoes it walk along the shore the sand felt so warm and soft between my toes then walked with then fox along the shore....
