Story by Jake The Stallion on SoFurry

This story is unfinished, I've been having massive writers block lately and major changes have developed. Anyone that could possibly help or give any sort of advice please email me (JakeTheStallion at gmail dot com) or post something in the comments. ANY type or comment would be appreciated, even if it's "This story is one of the worst I've ever read".

What a beautiful day, Jake thought. The sun was just rising, the birds were singing, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. The magnificent stallion got out of bed and stretched his legs, he was almost 7 feet tall when standing fully erect, he weighed an average 330 pounds; rather on the light side he thought, all in all you could say Jake was just another average stallion in the world. Well, thought Jake, might as well get ready to go through the daily day grind of work.

It took Jake only 20 minutes to get to work today; the construction site was pretty close to his house this time. Jake worked as a construction foreman for commercial buildings, it was good and he liked it, so he stuck with it. This time they were building some sort of tele-communications offices. He didn't really know for sure, nor did he really care, what he did know was that if he could get it finished within five months, a big, fat, bonus would be coming toward him and his men. From the way things looked now though, that seemed unlikely, they were already two months behind schedule. Some dumb ass had ordered the wrong parts, and because of that he now had to wait for the new parts to get in stock and shipped-out. Bah, he said out loud, it had been his fault in the first place; he had co-signed the order without even double-checking it. Fuck it, he thought, it was almost time for lunch, just another hour before break. Lucky for him the hour went by pretty quickly, and without any eventful happenings. The only real thing that did happen was that one of his workman got hit in the head with a nail fired from a nail gun that some rookie was playing around with, luckily he wasn't hurt seriously, it barely penetrated his helmet. 10 minutes left till lunch; what else could possibly go wrong. 5 minutes left; so close to lunch. At 12 o'clock on the dot he was out of there like a bat outta' hell.

Jake's favorite diner was only a short walk from the worksite. He entered the diner and sat down at a booth back in the corner. It was very crowded today, he thought to himself.

"Excuse me? he heard a female voice say. Are you ready to order?" asked the same voice again.

"OH, uh..." Jake trailed off as he looked up at the most stunningly beautiful vixen he had ever seen. She was roughly 5'10" with golden red and white fur, with two sharp red stripes trailing down each side. This was some of the most beautiful fur he had ever seen, and he had seen some lookers in his time. "Yeah...uh...what are your...uh...your specials today?" Jake stuttered to the sexy vixen.

"We have got soup and salad, Caesar or ranch dressing, we also have..." her voice trailed off into nothing-ness, he had been admiring her luscious body in that tight outfit, god she looked like an angel, he though, she was perfect...period. And we've got smoked salmon. "Is there anything there that tickles your pallet?" The vixen asked with a sort of coy laugh.

"Yeah I'll just have the soup and Caesar salad," the stallion mumbled in reply.

"Great, it'll be along in about 10 minutes," she said in a chipper voice.

As she walked away her tail swished from side to side from the hole in her outfit. He didn't even notice the waitress come back with his food; he was still daydreaming about her. He had to ask her name. Jake decided to wait for her to come back with the check before he launched his big question.

He finished his meal which actually wasn't that bad. The soup was a nice smooth clam chowder and the salad had some of the best lettuce he had ever tasted. He had just taken the last bite of the salad when she returned to get his dishes.

"Would you like anything else, dessert, or coffee perhaps?" asked the vixen in a happy sort of voice.

"No thanks, just the check please, and if it isn't too much to ask your name and number." God, Jake thought, he'd just used the lamest pickup line ever. He must have sounded like a complete idiot.

Alex was amazed at what she just heard the stallion say. He just tried to use a pick up line on her that she hadn't heard in years; not even since high school, yet a full-grown stallion was using it. Alex thought to herself for a second, he is pretty cute, and I haven't had a lover in forever. Well I guess it couldn't hurt to try him out and see what he's like.

"My name is Alex and my number is 804-3278," replied the vixen after only a little bit of deliberation. Jake couldn't believe his ears, the vixen had given him her name and number; Jake couldn't believe his lame pickup line worked! He just had his first date in years; he couldn't believe it. This just turned into the best day of his life.

"Uh, ok, I'll give you a call later tonight so we can set up a time to go out."

"Great, replied Alex. I look forward to seeing you again." And with that Alex picked up the check and her tip and glided away from the table as if she were floating on a cushion of air. Wow, she really is an angel swooned Jake.

Alex just smiled, took the check and cash, and walked away, swishing her shimmering golden-white tail, at the stallion behind her. Jake decided to wait until around six o'clock to call Alex, but until that time came, Jake had something to do. This is going to be one hell of a night, Jake said to himself as he walked into the bathroom slowly shedding his clothes.

Jake emerged from the bathroom a satisfied stallion; having taken a shower, among other things. He got dressed and walked back to his bedroom to give Alex a call. She picked up on the third ring and sounded overjoyed to hear his voice again.

"So, would you like to go out to dinner tonight, at around eight o'clock?" Jake asked nervously.

"I'd love to," the vixen replied happily. I'll meet you at the front of my apartment at eight.

"Great, replied Jake excitedly. He heard Alex laugh softly as he finished with his reply, What, Jake interjected, what's so funny?"

"You don't even know where I live," Alex said jokingly.

"OH! That's right, I didn't even think about that," he said with a nervous sort of laugh. "That's ok, Alex replied in a soft tone. I live at 238 Meadow Grove Ave." "Great, beamed Jake, I'll be there by eight." Jake hung up the phone and just sat in disbelief, he had a date for the first time in three years. And not only was she a very beautiful vixen, she seemed rather intelligent and cultured to boot. He hoped to god he didn't screw this up like he had his last relationship.

Alex answered the door and there stood Jake in a pair of khaki's and a nice polo shirt tucked neatly into his pants. He stood perfectly straight with a beaming smile on his face, and a bunch of flowers in his hand. They were a mix of tulips, daisy's, and roses, and they were the most beautiful flowers he could find on such short notice.

Alex took the flowers and invite Jake inside to sit down while she went to put them in water. Not only is he cute; he's polite, maybe she finally picked a winner she thought to herself as she took a vase out of the kitchen cabinet, filled it with water, and put it on the table.

Jake walked in and sat down on the nearest sofa, it was comfortable and fit reasonably with the décor of the house. Looking around he noticed many different paintings in many different styles. All had one unifying feature though; they were all marked with the initials A.A.A. in a little triangle in the lower right of the art. Knowing her first name but not her middle or last Jake assumed this must be her own art. Not only did it look beautiful and have the feel of something that much time and effort went into, they also had the look of someone that truly loved their art. They too fit very nicely with the rest of the décor of the house, matching the color scheme very well. Jake finally pulled his attention away from the art and perused the books that lay on the coffee table. Not only was her art beautifully cultured, so were her books; philosophy, poetry, and the like.

Again, I am still trying to work on it but I wanted to get it up just to see what other furs thought of the writing so far.
