Disclaimer: I could put a disclaimer but I'm too lazy. Just let me know if yah do anything with this story.
Credit is given where credit is due. Thanks to a friend for thinkin' up the Lupe'Uin for me so I didn't have to.
This was originally going to be the first part of a five part series that I was going to write but I got 4 pages into the second part and got bored. Which is something happens a lot. If I had done the whole series the title would make sense but I figured I'd leave as is and just explain what was going to happen at the end of this. I didn't spend as much time as I normally do on a story, basically I didn't obsess over it and re-write it three times. Anyways, have fun.
Retaliation
Beginning
Unease.
"The single best word to describe the atmosphere of the room." Nerick thought to himself as he stood behind and to the right of his combat dressed lieutenant. He stood at ease in a large meeting room that was completely empty except for a small wooden table, two chairs and stone still people. One of the chairs he, his Lieutenant and another stood behind, weapons held flat across their chests.
Across from where he stood was a similarly dressed guard except for a portion of the face the black tinted visor didn't conceal. His eyes studied what stood eight feet across from him through his own black tinted visor. "Obsidian Knights . . . Humans." Nerick sneered, disgusted by the acknowledgment that they were even sentient but he expertly kept it from showing. He kept his face blank of emotion and stood as motionless as the Humans he stood across from. He didn't doubt the six of them were doing nothing but scan the three that weren't of their kind for any sign of movement or threat. Even his tail did not sway or twitch as he stared coldly.
The door behind the Humans opened slowly. Nerick's eyes snapped to the tall, thin human as he entered with a tripod and a camera in his grasp. The Human set it up in such a way that the image would glorify the representative of the Human's home world and the Obsidian Knights that would be standing close behind. Nerick knew that there had been arguments over which race would cover the signing of the treaty. It was surprising to Nerick that the decision had been made by a coin; Humans had seemed too dense to be able to allow such a thing.
Nerick heard a door behind him creak quietly as it opened just as the camera Human had finished setting up. His eyes snapped to the representative of Zol as the delegate sat in the chair that had been reserved for him. The gray-brown scaled delegate sat as dignified as he could, though to Nerick he seemed weary. His tail was limp and his shoulders were a bit slumped in defeat. The door behind the Human bodyguards opened again; it was the representative of Earth.
The Human was tall like the others but not as skinny, he appeared happy and looked pampered. The delegate from Zol stood as the Human approached the table. Both delegates looked at each other, no doubt betraying their smiling expressions with thoughts of killing the other mercilessly. The reptilian delegate from Zol extended his four fingered hand, waiting for the Human to shake it. The Human looked at the scaled, four fingered hand and sat down without shaking it. Dejectedly the delegate of Zol sat back down and placed a briefcase on the table. He held it with two hands, another two twisting the locking mechanisms in sequence expertly. With a click the briefcase opened and the delegate lifted two sheets of paper out and signed a line on both of them before passing the papers and pen to the Human across the table.
"By signing this treaty the Zol'Naer offers their surrender under the condition that the planet Zol will continue on its own. Humans may freely come and go as they please and will be looked upon as greater beings by all Zol'Naer. A Human section will also be created in the government to look into all concerns of the planet Zol and its people. Does the representative of Earth and her people accept the terms of our surrender?" The delegate had spoken like a machine, reciting the lines in an empty monotone voice.
Nerick watched the Human intently. The whole ceremony had been rehearsed by both sides and both sides were to sign the treaty. There was no going back, continuing the already too long war was not an option for Zol or its people. Nerick barley contained a sigh as the Human delegate's pen glided across both papers.
"As the representative of Earth and her people, I accept Zol's surrender and agree upon the terms of Zol's surrender." The representative took one of the signed sheets and placed it in his briefcase, closed it and left. The Obsidian Knights let their composure slip as small smiles appeared on their faces. They followed behind their own representative as he left as did the camera man. The room was now empty except for the three bodyguards. Nerick's lieutenant moved around the table and grabbed the chair the Human had been sitting in and lifted it above his head. He threw the chair and it shattered as it smashed into the door the Human had exited through. He shoved his way passed Nerick. "Fucking Humans, I hate them! Trash the universe would be better off without!" Nerick griped the lieutenant's shoulder carefully, feeling him tense up as if to strike.
"We'll pay the sons of bitches back sir, someday." Nerick said quickly. Feeling the lieutenant relax he removed his hand. The black garbed reptile turned and faced Nerick.
"You're damn right we will and we won't have long to wait." He turned and left the room leaving Nerick standing motionless trying to decipher the meaning behind the lieutenant's cryptic words. He looked over at the other guard who shrugged and left the room the same way his superior had. Nerick contemplated the words for another moment before leaving the historic room not feeling at all proud about being one of four Zol'Naer to have witnessed the momentous occasion.
Present
Nerick climbed the three flights of stairs to the third floor where his apartment was. He walked down the short hallway giving a polite nod to whoever he passed. Keys jingled as he looked for his apartment key among the dozen he had. Finally finding it he unlocked the door and stepped inside, closing the door quickly behind him. He stripped out of his grey and black camouflage fatigues as he walked towards the bathroom, tossing them into a basket. Nerick stretched and flexed his lower, second pair of arms as they were finally freed. If there was one thing Nerick hated more than having to deal with the Humans it was 'being aware of their feelings.' Humans only had two arms, Zol'Naer had four. So without a second thought to how uncomfortable it would be for the conquered reptiles the Humans politely asked that all Zol'Naer that worked around Human occupied facilities had to keep their second pair of arms hidden. And by politely it was either do it or lose ones job.
Water sprayed from the showerhead as Nerick adjusted the heat to his liking before stepping into the stall. Once inside and the door closed he pressed two more buttons. Four more showerheads came to life, completely covering his body continuously with warm water. With haste he washed himself quickly, turned off the water and dried himself. Nerick left the bathroom, dropping the towel into the basket that he'd previously dropped his clothes into. The apartment was quiet and warm. Sunlight lit the room in a pale orange light as it set slowly. Nerick walked into the small living room and looked around. " Carcin is usually home before me, weird."_Nerick rubbed his scabrous belly, _"And it's his turn to cook." With a mental shrug he sat down on the sofa and turned on the MediaScreen. He idly flipped through the stations waiting for Carcin to get home and cook something.
* * * * * * *
The door opened and Nerick turned his head. The door slammed shut and keys clanged loudly as they were tossed onto small table next to the door.
"'Bout damn time Carcin," Nerick yelled. He heard a low growl and stood up, walking around a corner into the open kitchen. Carcin turned his head to look at Nerick who was standing nude and staring at him. Carcin was a Lupe'Uin. A fur covered mammalian species that resembled a mammal on the Human world called a wolf. The difference being that Carcin was bipedal.
"Shut the Hell up I had a long day and put some freakin' clothes on."
"You even said yourself you didn't care and it's not like you can see anything anyways. By the way, you look a bit ruffed up." Carcin took off his jacket and hung it on a hook before walking into the kitchen and dropping a bag on a nearby counter.
"Yeah, had to be restrained after decking a smartass Human for saying something about me being 'uglier than the damned four-armed lizard freaks.'"
"You're lucky you Lupe'Uin aren't in such an unfavorable position and can get away with shit like that. I'd be in jail for battery and assault if I touched a Human in a way the perceived to be an attack. I could simply poke them with a claw and get a year or two in prison. Besides, being uglier than me is a compliment." Carcin rolled his amber eyes at the remark and walked into the bathroom. Nerick moved to the bag Carcin had brought in and rummaged through it, pulling out a paper bag. Quickly he opened it and pulled out something wrapped in paper. He unwrapped the paper and frowned. "You're such a damn cheapskate Carcin!" Nerick yelled loud enough for his fur covered roommate to hear. He heard the shower turn on and slowly began to eat the small bland tasting sandwich.
Carcin stepped out of the bathroom just as Nerick finished the sandwich and tossed the bag and wrapper into a trashcan next to the counter. Nerick watched Carcin as he unwrapped and ate one of the sandwiches. Ever since he and Carcin had first met he'd always enjoyed looking him over and at times like he was now, only a small towel around his waist, he couldn't help but feel attracted.
"You can stop staring Nerick." Nerick blinked and blushed, his normally green and light brown scales gaining a red hue. He looked away for a moment before thinking of something to say to break the lingering silence.
"You know I hate this crap. I don't see how you can like something that simply has no taste and can hardly even be considered sustenance."
"Quit your bitching and you know that's why I buy it. Just to piss you off 'cause you're so cute when you're angry." Carcin said sarcastically before taking a bite of his sandwich. Nerick blinked and had to give Carcin's words a second processing to make sure he really was being sarcastic.
"I know you do it because this apartment is the only place you can. Everywhere else I'm a higher rank than your sorry ass. If you did this anywhere else I could force you to go get me something better with the snap of my fingers." Nerick snapped his fingers and smiled. He'd hit a nerve. Carcin turned and glared at him angrily.
"Don't pull that rank shit on me Nerick, you've been in the Honor Guard ten years longer than I have. I've only been in the Guard for three years. Oh, that and you're damn near ten years older than me old man." Nerick moved behind Carcin and draped his upper arms over Carcin's shoulders while his lower arms rubbed the Lupe'Uin's chest. Gently he licked the back of Carcin's neck and laughed inwardly as he felt the mammal shiver and tense. "Aw, you know I love you Carcin. I only make fun because seem to enjoy it when it comes from me." Carcin froze and frantically tried to decipher Nerick's words, tone of voice and actions to figure out if he meant what he said. "Is he serious?"
Nerick's second pair of hands slid down Carcin's body, stopping when his progress was impeded by the towel. The tips of his claws slowly slipped under the towel as he spoke.
"Carcin I have a confession to make," Carcin didn't move or speak so he went on. "Ever since I first saw you I couldn't help but look from time to time and I admit I was quite visually attracted to you." Nerick paused and Carcin mumbled something along the lines of 'Not like you tried to hide it.' Nerick ignored it and continued.
"You were transferred here after your acceptance into the Guard, yes? I often heard you talking with the other men about the shit hole that base life was. Well ever since the Humans and the surrender living on base went from crappy to a shit hole in Hell. I knew that on even your pay in the Guard you wouldn't be able to afford a decent place off the base and I didn't want one of my men to be demoralized by horrible living conditions and besides you're an Honor Guard, you shouldn't have had to live there for the short time you did.
"So that's why I offered you to stay here with me. I had a spare room and I knew I wouldn't mind the company and somebody else to share chores with. After being around you outside of work for two and a half years well, I've become more than just visually attracted to you." Neither of them said a word for several minutes. Carcin was the first to speak.
"I'll admit I always thought you were a little . . . weird. Always looking at me oddly and giving me menial tasks that kept me around you. I never looked into much for the first few months thinking you were just observing me or trying to keep me on my toes being new to your command and all. The day you asked me if I would rather share an apartment with you instead of living on base I was apprehensive. Living with a superior officer would make everybody think I was a favorite and that I was treated so. It was either ridicule for living with a superior or living in that shit hole for another five months . . . I could deal with ridicule."
"I knew that that would be a problem so being the superior officer that I am I made sure to give you the same assignments I gave everybody else. Even though I did ask if you wanted to stay at my place because you are my favorite Carcin. I still get a kick out of the first day I came home from work after you'd moved in. I did the same thing I always do." Nerick chuckled and removed the tips of his claws from under the towel and rubbed Carcin's belly.
"Of course you would," Carcin began, feeling more relaxed at the change of subject. "It was completely at my expense. You came home and got into the shower without saying a word while I was in the kitchen. You didn't notice that I was even in your apartment. When I heard the door open I began to say something as I came around the corner an-"
"And I was bent over picking up the towel because I'd missed tossing it into the basket." Nerick finished for Carcin with a laugh. "I stood and turned with my hand ready to drop the towel into the basket and there you were mouth slightly agape and eyes transfixed on me. When you finally snapped out of your little daze I couldn't help but laugh at how embarrassed you were. Stuttering and constantly saying you were sorry and that you didn't mean to stare."
"You remember when you asked a week later if I minded whether or not you went naked after a shower?" Carcin asked.
"Yes."
"Well I have a confession to make myself. I only said I didn't mind because I thought you were quite sexy the first time I saw you with nothing on the week before and wouldn't mind seeing your nude body more often." Nerick turned Carcin around and looked into the Lupe'Uin's amber eyes and smiled softly. Carcin averted his eyes from Nerick's gaze.
"Carcin." Nerick muttered in a quite voice. Carcin looked back into the Zol'Naer's dark green, slit pupils. He wasn't sure what he saw behind the lizard's eyes; love, lust or longing he couldn't tell which it was . . . or was it all of them?
"What?" Nerick didn't reply but instead softly touched his lips to Carcin's. Carcin pressed back into Nerick, much to Nerick's surprise, as his arms slipped around the lizard's chest. Nerick broke the kiss and looked into Carcin's eyes.
"Do you feel the same for me as I feel for you?" Nerick asked in a hushed voice.
"Yes Nerick, I do." Carcin pressed his lips against Nerick's strongly. Nerick sighed happily to himself and wrapped his four arms around his subordinate's body. Being older and stronger Nerick lifted Carcin easily until his feet no longer touched the floor. He walked slowly into the living room towards the couch and didn't break the kiss they shared until Carcin was sitting comfortable.
Nerick kneeled in front of Carcin on the floor and removed the towel that covered what Nerick wanted, dropping it onto the floor. With a grin he placed his upper hands on Carcin's thighs and leaned forward. Slowly he slid his deep purple-blue tongue up along Carcin's sheath. He felt the Lupe'Uin shiver and using a third hand, wrapped his fingers around the furred sac. Gently Nerick massaged the precious orbs within while continuing to lick Carcin.
The tip of Carcin's member exposed itself as it hardened. Nerick lightly wrapped his tongue around the glans and let Carcin's member lengthen into his maw. Carcin groaned as Nerick bobbed his head, his many small sharp teeth touching against the member in his maw. His tongue wrapped tightly around Carcin's length as he suckled it. Carcin moaned as Nerick continued his ministrations.
Nerick opened his maw and unraveled his tongue from Carcin's member, licking a bit of pre off the tip. Carcin whimpered quietly and Nerick glared at him. "You're part of the Guard and my first rule is that my men will not whine, complain or bitch without first asking my permission. Just because you're my favorite doesn't mean I'll let you slip up. I didn't get my reputation as a cold hard, unfeeling bastard by letting people get away with things. Understood?" Carcin merely nodded weakly. Nerick chuckled and trailed a claw down the sensitive underside of Carcin's phallus and smirked at Carcin's response.
Quickly Nerick got to his feet and shoved a small coffee table out of the way, almost tipping it over. He got down on the floor and leaned back on his elbows, knees bent and legs spread apart. It didn't take Carcin long to get what his superior wanted him to do. Carcin obediently got off the couch and kneeled between Nerick's legs. He lowered his head and touched his cold nose against Nerick's slit before inhaling his intoxicating scent. Suddenly Carcin found himself wanting to take Nerick right where they were, right now. Quickly Carcin shook and cleared his head of the thought before dragging his rough tongue up and down the lizard's slit.
Nerick hissed in pleasure as the Lupe'Uin's insatiable tongue explored him, searching. Carcin's intruding tongue didn't have to search long as Nerick's phallus pressed against it, pushing it back out the way it had come. Carcin licked the underside of the meat growing in front of him, his rough tongue eliciting a soft hiss from Nerick. Gently Carcin slid Nerick's length into his muzzle; the tapered tip rubbing against the roof of his mouth. Nerick hissed in pleasure as Carcin's head bobbed and tongue caressed his length. Several minutes passed. Carcin continued his actions, Nerick hissing happily the entire time. Feeling himself nearing his climax Nerick placed two, four-fingered hands on Carcin's muzzle and lifted his head from his member.
"I want you to do something for me Carcin." Nerick spoke softly. Carcin simply nodded. "I want to feel you inside me." Carcin hesitated. He was surprised that Nerick would ask that of him. Nerick waited for Carcin's response and smiled when he agreed. Without hesitation Nerick turned over onto his hands and knees. He lowered his shoulders and head until they both came to rest on the floor. Nerick moved his tail to the side and relaxed as he felt Carcin climb over his body.
Nerick closed his eyes and smiled as he felt Carcin's tip rub against his tailhole. As relaxed as Nerick was Carcin easily pressed his length fully into Nerick. Carcin groaned as the warmth that surrounded him contracted and clutched his member. Easily Carcin retreated until only his glans remained buried before pushing back in. A hiss of pleasure quickly followed the thrust and the ensuing ones. Carcin began to rub, stroke and pleasure Nerick's member as he pushed and pulled his length into and out of Nerick's tailhole. Both were breathing heavily and their expressions of the pleasure they both felt increasing in volume as they neared the end of their endurance. Carcin felt a familiar pressure in his loins building steadily and quickly.
"N-Nerick I . . ." Nerick knew what Carcin would have said if he'd been able to finish his sentence.
"Please do."
Nerick hissed as Carcin thrust into him with finality as he climaxed, filling the lizard with his seed. Another moan and hiss escaped him as his orgasm washed over him.
"Odd." It took Nerick a moment to come out of the daze he was in to reply to Carcin's comment.
"What?"
"You. You taste weird. Not sweet or sour. Not neutral or plain. I can't explain it."
"So I've been told on several occasions." Nerick said chuckling. Carcin bent down, his muzzle next to Nerick's head. They stayed like that quietly and unmoving, just the two of them, together.
* * * * * * * *
Nerick and Carcin showered together and at times doing more than just cleaning. Normally they slept in separate beds but Nerick pushed their two beds together making one large one. Together they climbed onto the bed and settled down for the night in each others embrace.
"This question has been gnawing at the back of my mind for a while but, why did you choose today to come out to me?" Carcin asked, nuzzling Nerick's neck softly.
"Because after tonight, I don't know if I ever would have gotten the chance." Nerick replied softly, rubbing one of Carcin's ears. Carcin lifted his head and looked into Nerick's eyes questioningly.
"What are you talking about Nerick?"
"Well, tomorrow is going to be a life changing day for all of us Carcin and by 'us' I mean Zol. Try not to think about it tonight. Just sleep and don't worry about it. You and everybody else will be briefed by me about it tomorrow."
"You really expect to be able to sleep with the words 'life changing day' in my head? Come on Nerick."
"Fine, we strike back tomorrow. Our uprising is upon us, we're taking action. Happy now?" Nerick asked sarcastically.
"No."
"Good, go to sleep Carcin."
"You know you're a real cold, unrelenting bastard sometimes."
"Just dwell on right now, not tomorrow. Just think about me and what we now have and we'll both get through the next days, months and years." Carcin sighed in defeat and snuggled into Nerick, concentrating only on his lover's embrace.
Basically, if you haven't already guessed, a war breaks out the next day after so many bombs have leveled Human facilities, government and military. I also planned on introducing another main character, the one that ends up the leader of a band of freedom fighters. That was pretty much all in the second part, Uprising. The third part went more into the struggle and fights, following Nerick, Carcin and the Honor Guard and other parts following the third main character. That part would have been titled, Escalation. The fourth part which, now that I look back on it, wouldn't have been very long. That part, Crescendo, follows the end of the war; the annihilation of the Human occupation and the arrival of the Lupe'Uin battle fleet, which in turn decimates the Human fleet. Part five, Collapse, is more of an epilogue. Earth is attacked and it's military forces utterly destroyed. Which pretty much leaves Earth defenseless, however, being the nice beings that they are the Zol'Naer guard Earth for the Humans. Only police forces are allowed on Earth to keep those destructive little bastards from doing to anybody else what they did to Zol.
Well that's about it. A paragraph summary was much easier than writing another four parts. Thank you, the reader for taking your sweet time in getting this far, it means stuff to me.
