Three’s a Company, Four’s a Crowd
#22 of Hockey Hunk Season 6
Three's a Company, Four's a Crowd
*
Hello, cheesecakes,
and welcome to the latest adventures of the cast of The Hockey Hunk, brought to you in Furry Definition to your various Internet access devices! After Friday's delay, I'm glad to present the new chapter to you, and I do hope that you have a good time reading! I look forward to your comments and other feedback, I am most pleased to hear from you whenever you do!
Thank you!
Special Author's Note: I have been a very bad boy indeed, I noticed last week. I have constantly confused Aiden's species T_T He started out as a jaguar but has since appeared as a cheetah and a leopard, which has led to me becoming even more confused about just what he looks like! So from now on, with the Word of God from me, Aiden is a jaguar (as per his original Season 3 appearance) and he has always been one, and will always be one! *growl* I'll probably be going back through the old characters and retro-fixing them to correspond with the canon information. Just so that you know if you wonder why he's suddenly a jaguar now in this chapter.

"...and one and two and three and four and back row turn!"
I side-stepped twice and made a turn, as swiftly as I could before landing a paw, keeping my body steady and my eyes fixed in front of me wherever my body was going, because that was the best effect, and now I was looking ahead again, right towards the tight butt of Aiden, on the front row and wearing some kind of a spandex leotard.
I doubted anyone else could get away with something like that.
"And front row one, two, three and four and back row, sidestep, go!"
I moved as I was told, watching how the front row separated and moved onwards.
"And remember the shoulders..."
I made rolling motions with mine, and swung my hips extra broadly.
"And one and two and tree and four and arms!"
Swing, swing, swing.
"Slow, slow, quick quick slow!"
We moved faster now, and with Megan in the front row, glancing over to each side of her and over her shoulder at us on the back row, too, while effortlessly moving through the choreography even as she told the rest of us what to do.
"Twist, twist, twist, turn and sweep and TAP!"
I stomped my foot down once I'd gone through the motions described in Megan's cryptic words, and clapped my paws together, as per the set actions for the routine. I was still looking forward, too, to the swinging rump of Aiden's, which was a necessary evil at the time.
"And one, two, three, four, and again, one, two, three and four..."
I snuck a look at Mason, at the front row next to Megan, watching her carefully as he tried to memorize the refinements into the routine she had felt like doing, to make the opening number even more cool to watch, she had said, and put us to work our buts off at memorizing the new choreography at a moment's notice. Of course Doctor Faye had immediately fell to her whim, and even now he was leaning at the wall and watching us with obvious pleasure and fascination as the group of us moved in synchronization.
"...and one, two, three, four, turn and arms and bend!"
We adopted a sideways posture towards our at the moment mostly imagined crowd, except for Robert and Doctor Faye and a few others, while all of us on the cabaret routine twisted and crouched, arms swung forward and I suppose the only real word to describe it would be writhing while we crouched, my muscles tensing pleasantly at the posture that put genuine tension on my back and my rump.
"And look and wink!"
Must've been an interesting sight, a bunch of furs bending over and winking at you...Doctor Faye was probably not complaining about that. I could hear that Aiden was purring nearby, enjoying himself. He was a real show-off, and not always in a good way.
"And up and tilt and turn and forward and back, one, two, three, four and shuffle!"
I wondered if it was just me or whether Megan's so-called improvements were just mostly increasing the amount of ass-shaking in the choreography. It did feel like that to me as I swung my hips back and forth, forced to do it even more pronounced than the others with longer tails, since they could add to it with that. I didn't mind mine, but when it came to this kind of dancing, it might've as well been longer. Or maybe I should just be lucky that I didn't have to think that much about where mine was going, unlike, say, Aiden, who seemed to have a habit of swiping other furs' butts with his. Especially the guys.
"And forward, one, two, three, four and up for the finale..."
I mentally hummed the music while he all gathered for the last moments of the choreography, creating a tight bunch of furs with arms around one another and lifted in places, showing off. I was feeling sweaty already, considering we'd gone through this several times now and it must've been at least half an hour altogether, more than enough to work out a funk.
"Bravo! Bravo!"
Doctor Faye clapped enthusiastically, giving a big smile to all of us while he surveyed the picture we made, and after another moment of muscle tension, everyone started to relax.
Megan stepped out of the group and faced us, in front of the mirrors that covered several walls of the studio, looking at us with her clever fox eyes.
"That was great job, guys, really!" she said, her tail swishing quickly. "I think you're really taking onto it quickly, that's good! Everyone seems to be up to speed!"
"Ohhhh I think it's fantastic!" Aiden chirped, his own tail still swirling. "Feels all great!"
I wanted to snort, but in respect to the integrity of the group, I kept my misgivings with Aiden to myself.
"I'm glad we've got someone as skilled as you doing the dancing," I heard Mason say.
I glanced over to him and saw that the wolf was breathing kinda heavily, from the exertion, surely, and looking at her carefully, one paw already tucked into his pocket while his tail swung between his legs.
"Awww, thank you, Mason!" Megan giggled.
"You didn't look half bad there, dude!" Aiden purred.
My previous want to snort turned into an acute wish to growl, but instead I just took a big, loud breath. That was easy to pass as simply needing a moment to relax from the exertion of the dance routine.
"Uhh, thanks, Aiden," Mason replied, giving the jaguar a quick look. Aiden smirked in reply.
"No problem at all!" the sleek feline said. "Anytime!"
His eyes lingered on Mason for a moment, while Mason's had already returned to Megan, who appeared a bit out of breath herself from all the dancing, and looking at us still.
"Just remember your positions and we'll do great!" Megan added.
"I have to concur," Doctor Faye stepped over to her and smiled kindly, almost fatherly, I guess, even though it was funny to think something like that about someone who was really only a few years older than we were. Maybe there was something about him that projected some kind of an older air, whether it was how he spoke or how he dressed. He was almost subtle today, I guess, in a beige button-up shirt and jeans, something I'd never seen him wear before. "Everyone is really progressing!"
"With only a few weeks to the premiere, we ought to," Robert added in his gravely voice, the German Shepherd standing on the sidelines and looking at all of us, since Cliff did not take part in the opening number, which meant that he didn't have to do any singing or dancing at this point.
"Quite right, quite right!" Doctor Faye chuckled, his ears flicking rapidly as he projected smiles and purrs to everyone in the room. "And I am most pleased with everyone, and seeing how you are all enjoying yourselves so much!"
He sure sounded like he was enjoying himself and his role as the director.
"As it should be!" Megan joined in.
"It is so indeed, but looking at the time now, it's already past six, and I'm sure you all have a lot of homework to do already, so I better let you all go now!" Doctor Faye clapped his paws together once to bring attention to his words. "So I'll see you all on Tuesday for our next rehearsal, and then we'll be doing a full go through!"
"Can't wait!" Megan said.
"Thank you, everyone, have a splendid weekend and remember to keep singing and dancing!" Doctor Faye commanded.
The waves of mumbled 'thankyous' and 'youtoos' filled the room as a few already started to line out. I stepped through the crowd to find Mason, who didn't seem to be in any particular hurry to go, instead standing there and looking at Megan and Doctor Faye who were talking with their heads pressed together, the taller lion looking down at her so that they might chat easily.
"Hi!" I smiled.
"Hey," Mason nodded at me.
"Pretty good job?" I asked him, with a smile.
"Sure," he shrugged, now both paws in his trainer pocket.
He was looking at Megan again, watching how one of her arms moved against her side, how the fingers seemed to be gently stroking her hip while she chatted eagerly with Doctor Faye.
"Don't take too long, Haakon!"
I glanced over my shoulder to see Aiden at the doorway, grinning and flicking his ears at me while he peeked into the studio, showing most of his obscenely dressed body to me. He might've as well been wearing nothing, considering how tight that outfit was. I could even see his sheath.
"Off you go!" I yelped across to room to him, which only made him pout, before he winked and disappeared, finally.
I turned to look at Mason ,but he didn't seem to have noticed our exchange, instead simply looking at Megan chatting with Doctor Faye.
"Do you wanna shower before heading out?" I asked him.
"Humm?"
"Did you want to shower before we head out?"
"Uh...sure, sure," his ears jumped now that he finally seemed to notice me, and looking at me.
"Well let's go!"
He gave a longing look towards the chatting pair and then seemed to make a decision, turning for the door.
"Bye, Doctor Faye!" I called out.
"Oh, good day to you, Haakon!" the lion didn't seem to be engrossed enough with Megan so as to not to notice me leaving, for he waved a big paw to me and smiled broadly as I made my goodbye to him.
Mason moved sluggishly and I was sure he took one more glance at the door before we made out way down the corridor and over to the boys' locker room. Everyone was changing already as we entered, including Aiden, who was wriggling his way out of his skin-tight outfit and chattering happily to anyone who might listen.
"Let's just grab our towels, huh?" I told Mason, wanting to hurry up.
"Sure," he said.
We opened our lockers, positioned side by side, and quickly began to strip off. I was only wearing a sleeveless T and some training pants and boxers underneath them, so it didn't take so long, neither did Mason spend too much time in it, either, revealing more and more white and grey and black fur as he placed articles of clothing into the locker.
"...two ladies...beedle-deedle-dee..."
_ _
Aiden was singing now, a bit off-key, possibly on purpose, I thought, as I grabbed my shampoo from my bag which now doubled as a gym bag and a musical bag.
Mason pulled out a towel from his bag which was huge and covered in big bright-colored flowers. I had seen it hanging on a hook in his bathroom a few times but I'd never seen him use it, and seeing his body wrapped in it did draw my eyes. He noticed soon, and flicked his ears as he saw I was looking.
"it was the only dry one I could find," he said, "mom and dad brought it as a souvenir from Florida."
"You're rocking it," I smiled.
"Thanks," he scratched his belly while he closed his locker. "Uh, can I borrow your shampoo? I think I forgot mine."
He sure sounded absent-minded today.
"Sure, dude!" I said. "Let's go."
We went over to the shower room, which was deserted except for us, and shucked off our towels and hung them from the hooks. I tried not to look too much, but I stayed behind just a little so that I happened to walk behind him, to observe the uncovered swing of Mason's tail over his butt. The wolf was generally nonchalant about nudity when I was around, which was a good thing, because the last thing I wanted was him to be uncomfortable in any way with me. Leering at his ass was a sure way to make that happen, I thought.
"The shampoo's here," I said as I put it on a small shelf on the wall between the showerheads, pointing it out.
"Thanks!"
I turned on the water, soon followed by Mason, and then both of us were covered in swooshing water. It felt nice after the exercise, like it always did, slicking my furs up and pressing them onto my body and its shapes. Mason, glanced from a half-cracked eye, appeared similarly taken in, his furs soggy and smoothened over him. It was a look that fit him just fine.
"Had fun today?" he asked after a moment, when I was rubbing my head furs through with water.
I tilted my head down so that water washed over it and not onto my face, and looked at him from my twisted point of view.
"Sure!" I smiled. "Almost feels like I've been to the gym, heh, Megan's a slave driver."
"Lol," Mason chuckled.
"Well we did so many rounds!" I said. "How many was that anyway? Five or six?"
"I dunno," he replied, his paws splashing water about.
"Well I'm spent," I continued cheerfully. "You wanna catch something to eat?"
"Hmmmsure..."
I turned down the water a bit and grabbed the shampoo, to begin rubbing it onto my furs. Mason was still soaking himself up, which was probably since he had much more fur to work with. My paws sliding my own body felt nice, though I didn't want it to feel too nice, considering I was in company.
"You feel like maybe going somewhere tonight or tomorrow?" I continued my hopeful inquiries. A Friday night out could turn out great, and I really felt like I needed to unwind a little.
"Dunno...."
My ears flicked.
"Or if you're busy or don't feel like it, we could just hang out..."
"Sure..."
I frowned.
"Something on your mind?" I asked, my paws pausing over my hips, feeling slick with the shampoo.
"Uhmm...maybe," his tail made a wet slap against his leg.
My belly fluttered a little.
"What is it?" I asked as casually as it was possible when you were naked and soaking wet with another guy.
Mason grabbed the shampoo I'd splashed onto my paws only a moment earlier and squirted some of the stuff onto his palm.
"Uh...well, I was thinking...maybe, if she's not busy..."
Hmm.
"You gonna ask Megan out?"
"Well I want to..." he said, "but I'm not sure if she wants to, I mean, I've often seen her talk with Robert..."
Damn. What was I going to say about that?
"I don't really know about that, but if you want to, go for it, man, I mean, she's nice and all..." I said.
Mason seemed thoughtful.
"You know, as long as you don't mind..."
I could've gasped.
"What do you mean?" I asked carefully.
He couldn't know...
"Well..." he started rubbing his arm, and looked really awkward, "just to make sure you don't...you know..."
"I don't know what you mean," I said.
"Well..." he coughed, "unless you've...interested...in her..."
Oh.
That.
With our history, that seemed like a feasible question. All the drama with Jessica...
I forced a laugh.
"No, dude, go for it," I forced a smile, "sure."
"Uhh...yeah, sure, thanks, "he mumbled. "Good to know."
"No problem," I lied.
Mason smiled and slapped my thigh with his wet tail. I made a playful jump.
"Dude, what's that for?"
"Just waking you up," he grinned, while continuing to soap himself up, paws going close to his sheath over his belly.
I had to turn away so that I wouldn't end up watching too much, and turned the water a bit colder, to take the edge off.
So that's what it all was.
"...please do not peek too much, boys!"
_ _
I grimaced freely against the wall. By the sounds of it, Aiden had sailed into the room.
