The Dangers of Fur
A girl gets more than she bargained for with some fur.
As Stephanie closed her door she pondered what she was going to wear to the party tonight. "I didn't hear her say if it was a costume party or not. Still, I should probably wear something other than my casual clothes." she said as she dug through her closet.
"Perfect!" she exclaimed as she picked up a blank red box. "I've been trying to find a perfect time to wear this. It really should make me stand out at the party." she said as she opened the box and lifted out the fox fur. "I wonder why this thing's got a black tail. It's kinda freaky." she said as she wrapped it around her neck and rested the head on her right shoulder. As she was modeling in front of her full length mirror her cell phone rang.
"Hey Mary how are you. I thought we'd just see each other at the party so what's with the call?"
"Bad news. The party's been canceled because Steven has to take his little brother out trick or treating."
"Oh well. See you Monday."
"Okay see you then." she said as Mary hung up on her. "Oh well. It seems like I need to find another time." she said as she grabbed at the fur and pulled. It didn't come off.
"What the hell?" she asked as she continued to pull at the fur. It was then that she realized that it was tightening around her neck. "What's going on?" she asked as she continued trying to pull it off. After trying to tear it off for about five minutes she grabbed her cell phone and dialed 911.
"Hello 911 what is your emergency?"
"Choking. . .need help. . .address is. . .3914. . .East Mountain. . .Avenue. Hurry." she said as she dropped her phone before losing consciousness. The police arrived three minutes later to find her dead in her room with the fur still around her neck and a grin on its muzzle.
