Part 6 of Sage's Story

-Hey all. Sorry for this uber-short chapter. I had to rush it quite a bit so it may not be of very good quality. I plan to make all of my chapters in the future about twice as long and way more detailed then they currently are. Thank you so much for reading my story and have a nice day.-

Sage and I walked home in relative silence. When we arrived I made dinner and we ate. There was a slow night ahead of us. I looked over at Sage who looked rather forlorn. I stood up and sat in the chair next to her, placing my arm around her.

"Hey, you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah... I'm just thinking." She replied.

"Well, just don't drag yourself down with your thoughts." I said.

Sage smiled. "I won't. I promise."

I gently hugged her. "I'm going to go do some writing at my desk. Feel free to join me when you like." I said, then walked up the stairs, leaving Sage alone with her thoughts.

As I walked upstairs, I heard someone rummaging about in the bedroom. I grabbed one of the many knives I kept around the house in case of intruders and walked towards the bedroom. As I entered the bedroom I saw a dark figure making its way towards the window which it had broken to enter. I ran after it and grabbed it pulling it into the light. It was a pokemon! I quickly made sure it knew I was armed and yelled at it.

"Why did you break into my home!? What did you want!?"

It merely replied by staring at me and I suddenly felt very lightheaded. I rolled off the pokemon, receiving a strong punch in the gut. I tried to stand up, but couldn't until it was long gone. After much struggle, I stood up and leaned against my writing desk. There was a poem that was not written by me.

Night is coming

The Light has fallen

All has led to nothing

And now is the end of men

We all must rise tonight

Against those who enslave us

Now is the time of our plight

There is no time to discuss

If you love your trainer

Prepare to fight

We fight regardless of gender

And will kill throughout the night

All humanity will fall

In this one moment

For the saving of us all

We will no longer be broken

This glorious time

Will befall

At the last chime

From our God's hall

Sage walked in the room a few seconds later and stared with horror at the room. "What happened?" She asked as she ran over to support me.

"A pokemon broke in and left this. I don't think he took anything though." I said.

Sage stared at the poem and soon whispered, "So it is beginning."

"What's beginning?" I questioned.

"The end of man. I have dreams about it every night. One night all pokemon will rise and destroy all of mankind. In a matter of years at best." She replied

"You're kidding. Right?" I asked with worry.

"I'm afraid not. We better start preparing." Sage said.

"Alright. I'm going to choose to believe you. We start training tomorrow." I said.

After an hour more of planning our training, we went to bed. We were tired and we had a long day ahead of us the next day.

Two Halves of the Same Whole, Chapter 2

_ _ I woke up to see the woman from the forest with her hand on my chest. Her touch was gentle and caring, but at the same time there was tension. I almost attacked her when I saw the gash along her face. Remembering that I had done this, I stood up...

Sage's Story: Part 5, A trip to the mall

Sage and I both sat down at the table and dug into breakfast. Sage was more careful about how she ate so as not to get her clean fur dirty. After we finished eating, I cleaned the dishes and then came to Sage with an idea. "Hey Sage! Want to go...

Two Halves of the Same Whole: Chapter 1

It all started when I was gathering food for the night. I had just gathered all of my food when I heard a small rustle behind me. I turned around expecting to see one of the wild pokemon who wanted some food, but I was surprised to see a human...
