That's what we'd say

Those simple words

Got me through the day

Who knew forever

Wouldn't last so long

This distance hurts

But for you, I stay strong

Each day a new problem

Each night a new tear

But it keeps me afloat

To know you are here

Not here at my side

But we are not apart

For I'll always keep you

Tucked away in my heart

Soon I'll see you again

And we will rejoice

I'll feel your warm hug

I'll hear your soft voice

So please do not worry

Nothing more to discuss

I'll hold on for you

Forever and ever, just us
