Miracle realized this spirit was a child as Miracle talked to the client. To find out that their was a lost hatching from an accident. Miracle told him, "I know what is going on and you can feel the dead but, I can see and talk to them. The one who is stalking you is your feral dead sibling. I cannot stop them at all, their dead. You have to learn to live with it or see a specialist. I know of one but that cost 100 dokoi extra." The client decided not for that information as they felt it was a ripoff. A few days later their was an emergency rescue in the winding trail dungeon. The wind was hard on Miracle as he felt an ominous aura coming in his dreams at home. Catarina was rushing as this was good cash and it was fast. Miracle had no idea the horror his life would become that his dreams were real. He was having nightmares about Anna being used and killed. He and Cataria knew by smell that Anna was past her first estrus and she had found love and was expecting. She was packed to move on her own in a few weeks. It was short term and they were on a trip when it happened. Miracle knew not to tell Catarina anything just yet. Anna' s first death hit her really hard and she was near suicidal in behavior. She took greater risks that he thought was too dangerous for her. The news was hard as a pidgeot from the police came to find them on the rescue mission. The officer asked, "Are you two Miracle and Catarina Vanderbilt?" They nodded as the news was not good. The officer said, "I have grim news as a pair of serial killers have entered your home and well, how do I put this. Anna Vanderbilt was murdered. She had her slit throat and her blood was used as ink as we found out she was with pups and the murders cut her womb open. You two others were witnesses and described as 'The rival killer pair' we/I regret to inform you two about this news but, with all the religious conflict our officers have had to lower the priority. Your place was raided for wealth but none was found." Miracle was in shock as he said, "Why are my dreams like this and theses locals have no idea how much foreign credit chips were at my other wife's house. Are my pups there at Polly's house?" The officer said, "She has them now but they are in treatment for the sight." Catarina was ranting the whole time, "Why Anna? Why her, she came back to us just to die again?" Then, she sang a song of death that her father use to sing. The song echoed throughout the valley below in the morning fog.

Note: This song is from a distant fictional' nation that was almost always defending itself against aggressors to the south and west over contended territory that was won through battle and treaty with the previous rulers. These wars have been near all out attrition or genocide depending on the nations at hand. It is a traditional song sung at funerals and wakes.

Catarina wanted to just go home as they walked to the rescue. She looked down the cliffs and pondered what would happen if she jumped head first. They found the skiploom two days later and returned home as Catarina just wanted to stay in bed. They had battled several ice types in a snow storm on the way home leaving in slow pace wanting to avoid any battle. She did that and was depressed as Miracle decided to leave her so he would take the next job solo. Anna's soul was gone as he felt grief but the pain was buried under anger and guilt. This was a confusing time as what they hoped was front page news was on the third page. The anger was misplaced in Miracle as his two surviving pups were traumatized and had nightmares about it, they refused to come home and would rather say in Polly's shed on the property than their apartment. The apartment they lived in felt wrong as the police were done gathering the evidence. The murders left the chips that were useless unless redeemed properly. Catarina wondered the Deep Marsh to think and be alone as she noticed Ivan glowing strangely. He was in the marsh to find a nice place to live or transcend his existence. She just walked by and noticed a smell around and other guild members talking about fighting and she just wanted to watch. The smell was nearly unbearable like a pile of corpses on fire. They were battling a garborator that was a female and making jokes about the news of a series of murders. This got Catarina emotionally as her fangs were showing and her breathe was starting to smoke to come out. She was almost feral as she snapped. Her eye's were cold as she acted like a crazed psycho. She charged into the fight like the smell and poison did not bother her. She was out of control as she jumped with a blast from a flame burst nearly hitting the mark as she was yelling. She yelled, "How dare you disrespect the dead, I am Catarina Vanderbilt and I lost my daughter to those monsters! I have smelled the scent of death and have no qualm with killing you!" Cataria's eye's were not beginning to go blind from poison as she charged and used flame burst again down the throat of the garborador she was fighting. Her body was poisoned as she was angry. A light came down as Theodora came in person to heal the garborador with divine magic. Theodora said in a serious tone, "I know you are angry but killing like this is not for you anymore. You swore to yourself you would never do this again. I tried to be free and the only good thing is another legendary owes me a big favor. I made a fake body and save Anna from death. She can never see you ever again. She had her neckless with the credit chip Drake gave her on. She will stay alive for now but you will be the play thing for others because they want to harm me! You are wrathful or should I call you your old nickname, 'Crazy Catarina'?" Catarina was angry and depressed as she said, "All I wanted was to see grand pups! Anna was going to be a practitioner and heal the sick with lessons on magic from Drake!" Theodora continued, "I know that Ivan taught you the seven steps to evolution but that is the forbidden physical evolution. You will be unable to obtain the final lesson from him or me. However, the eighth lesson is learned and Ivan and his mate have just achieved it. Anyway, I have no interest in you as you are near becoming a ninetales. Why hold back so much?" Catarina replied, "I want to die with Miracle and if I evolve I cannot do that! A thousand years is a long time and I do not deserve evolution!" Theodora was irritated when she said, "In your state if you do a regular evolution you will die. You are poisoned and near dead right now. If you lunge at me or try to move your heart will stop. If, living is your choice then, calm down and let your rage disperse. However, let your emotions continue out of control and death awaits you! What no one ever tells any one is this, mortals always die alone in the end. I took a big risk to bring my mortal half back and I am limited on what I could do. I can remove the poison but, just enough to have you not die. Playing with the lives of mortals is skirting the edges of the rule. The best I could do to keep Anna safe is remove her from me in a far away place. I have no debts to the other legendaries or any gods left. I am limited on what I can do! Oh I almost forgot, Anna will have three pups and two are male. I think, one pup was not able to be saved unless you trade your remaining life for theirs?" Catarina replied violently, "I, I will not make that pact with you! Forever wondering this world beyond true death is an unforgivable act." Theodora replied sarcastically, "But you pleaded that to me as you watched your father lay dying as he coughed up blood and tried to calm you down, you sang your favorite lullaby with him until he died." The others were shocked as a ninetales was covered in pure white was giving off black flames. They were shocked as some were rethinking religion as a structure rather than a law of life. Catarina was silent and buried her muzzle under her front paws wailing in her native tongue. She sounded sad and just wanted to cry if she could physically was able to. She was realizing her life was miserable and cursed to start with. No matter what she did, she got hurt with wounds that were soul shattering and would never heal. Weeks later she was home and drunk again. She drowned her sorrows in liquor to the point of passing out. Miracle took her to Polly's house and locked her in a room in the cellar just to let her sober up. There was no escape for Catarina and her life. It was painful to watch for Miracle to see the one he loved dirty, ungroomed, and losing her mind. She was really hurt and wanted to just look inward as she refused to eat or barely drink at all now. Her body was thin (under eight pounds) and malnourished as she realized her reason for living. Catarina commented as she started to eat small portions of fat rich food, "Religion means nothing in this world. We are here to make and raise pups until death takes us. When did we stop thinking like that and why become civilized at all? Is there no right or wrong in this world. My religion was never hiding anything then, it was the culture that was. Maybe Theodora was right when she said I was wrathful and maybe I should evolve to hunt those two down and gut them myself." No one heard her when she said that as she rested and gained weight. Catarina's was losing her mind and to protect herself she was developing a split personality.

Anna' s death

The door was banging as Anna was watching her younger siblings as she pushed them in a pipe of boxes and she kept them calm for the moment. Anna said to them as she was scared, "Just stay quiet and be silent at all cost. I am pregnant and, and I think I can stall them for you to run." The door was about to fail as she pushed her younger sibling into the vent as the door slammed to the floor. Anna was shacking the most feared criminals for her age group came in.

The notorious, Zangoose named Jack and Serviper named Jill. Jack was looking at the target as Jill was showing her tail and her paralyzing poison was dripping out. Anna was pleading, "Please I am pregnant with pups! Just walk away and I will say nothing!" Jill started to speak with a killers intent, "Now that is a surprise, a rare one indeed. So we always wanted to cut one open and see how it works. First though, we will skin you alive and cut you open from your hardware up to your neck and slice you up." Anna tried to run as she was starting to form black flames and was slashed by 'Jill' and she was unable to move her legs and Jack held her down as the poison was working. Anna was shacking as they flipped her and skinned her from her legs and Jill's tail blade was burning the capillaries to Anna's epidermis until they came to her belly and began to cut. Anna was feeling the pain as she tried to plea to have them stop as they got to her womb. With one long slice they found one unborn pups and Jack pulled it out his claws as he was getting horny. He wanted to see his shaft sliding in Anna. Jill was watching with excitement. All Anna could see was her blood and feel the pain as she was losing consensus as she was trying to look strong at her siblings as she was unable to speak and one sibling was gone as she hoped they called for some help. Jill was pulling out a pup and soon a second. Tears were coming out of Anna as she knew that they were likely dead. She was hiding the labor pains as Jack penetrated her again looking at his seed flowing our of her. Anna was gasping for breath as the police finally arrived and the two homicidal killers had to take leave without Anna's pelt as a prize. Anna felt like she was in a timeless void as she heard a stranger come close. They said in a disturbing tone, "Me and my lovers looked at this and we will send you away as you are seconds from death. You were targeted and twice and died twice. The best place for you is away from your divine half. I would not want to hurt the mother of my other half's child. Now feel the burning that will keep you and your child. With a smirk the stranger said, "Anna, you will be on fire and it will hurt a lot, just for my entertainment. Oh this favor makes you square with Theodora, Arceus. Take her away somewhere Theodora cannot find easily."
