Chapter 13

Tuesday morning, Tanya woke up to find herself alone in bed. Her first thought was that Terry had gone to the bathroom, but her own visit there found it empty. She finished her morning business and got dressed. Still no Terry. A slight worry crept into her mind, and it grew into concern when both the kitchen and the living room were empty as well. When she opened the door to her brother's room and found his bed untouched, she was approaching panic. Where could he have gone?

She found him in the next place she looked, though; their father's office. He was sitting by the window, staring out at the rain-filled clouds that had gathered during the night. The cold lump in Tanya's throat vanished, but returned with a vengeance when he turned to her. His eyes were the saddest she had ever seen, and his cheeks were damp with tears. In no time at all, she crossed the room and laid her arms around his neck.

"Baby, what's wrong?" She had a hard time keeping her voice from breaking. "Why are you crying?"

"Oh, nothing." He turned back to stare out the window. "Just being stupid."

"You're not stupid." She touched Terry's cheek, and he turned around slowly. His lower lip trembled, and fresh tears filled his eyes. "Tell me. Is it something I've done? Or not done?"

"No." He sighed, fighting back the tears. "It's me. It's just... This morning..."

"What happened?"

"I woke up, and..." He took a deep breath, then let it out slowly. "I just looked at you. You're so beautiful, Tanya. So very beautiful."

"But?"

"But... Oh, it's just so stupid!" She saw how Terry clenched his fists. His face twisted into a snarl, but it only lasted for a second or two. Then he was back to that sad expression again. "It just feels like I'm too happy. Like something bad's just waiting to happen."

"Come here." Tanya held out her arms, and Terry fell into her lap as if drawn there. His arms went around her neck, and as he hugged her sobs started racking his thin body. She stroked his hair and whispered into his ear. "Nothing bad's gonna happen, baby. Everything's gonna be okay. I won't let you get hurt again."

"B-but it's gotta," he sobbed. "It always does. Ev-every time I'm happy it d-does."

Tanya felt her own eyes water. It was so easy to understand the poor boy's feelings. Life really had been rough for him. She wondered if there were other things hidden in his past as well, aside from the divorce and from their mother's illness and death. Now was not the time to ask, though; instead she held him close and let him cry himself out. Once his tears had abated and he had stopped hiccoughing, she found a tissue and let him blow his nose. Then she carried him to the downstairs bathroom and stood him down in front of the sink. While he brushed his teeth, she got the shower started and slipped out of her clothes. The hot water felt good, and served to lift her spirits. Just as she was lathering up, she felt a small body move up against her, and she smiled. Terry rubbed his muzzle against the side of her neck, while his hands caressed her buttocks and tail. She let out a deep sigh, followed by a moan of pleasure as Terry turned her around and kissed her. It wasn't long before she was completely lost in their tongues' dance.

The shower and the kissing put new life into Terry. After yesterday's joy over the fact that Tanya had adopted him, he had felt oddly low. Not even an afternoon spent playing with Josh, followed by a nice dinner and a pleasant evening with Tanya, had helped. They had spent over an hour before bedtime, kissing and caressing each other to mutual orgasms, and while it had kept the foul mood away for the moment it had been a losing battle. When he woke up that morning he had only felt like crying. Part of it was the weather. Gloomy grey skies always made him feel sad for some reason, and now it had served to heighten his sense of impending doom. Surely things had to change? Surely something as good as his new life with his big sister/lover could not be allowed to last?

But then she had been there. She had held him, had comforted him with her presence rather than with words, and it had felt so good. Maybe, just maybe things would work out after all. The paper he had signed meant that he was hers, didn't it? That she had agreed to care for him and that nobody could tear them apart, not ever? The thought that Tanya was now like a parent to him was a thrilling one. He tried again to call her 'mommy' while they made breakfast, and was rewarded with a dazzling smile than made his head spin.

He was still feeling a bit dizzy when she sat him down at the table and went to fill up his plate. His eyes took in every inch of her body as she walked the short distance between the table and the stove, and it was as if time froze. Every second seemed to stretch into minutes, and every minute into hours, as he stared without being able to stop. Without wanting to stop. Even the simple act of piling eggs and bacon next to a mountain of pancakes seemed somehow erotic to him, and he felt a now very familiar stirring inside his shorts as he thought back to their shower. She was so beautiful. So beautiful it almost hurt to look at her. Then, all of a sudden, this spell broke, and before Terry knew it she had served him his breakfast and joined him at the table. They smiled at each other and tucked in, and Terry felt his bad mood lift a bit further.

There was something so normal about sitting down for breakfast, so natural that, perhaps for the first time since he had returned to his old home, Terry felt as if he truly belonged there. As if it were really true that nothing would take him away from there. As if he and Tanya really were meant to be together from now on. He still fought against these feelings, afraid to set his roots too deep. Afraid of the pain if it wouldn't last. But watching Tanya act as if breakfast were the most ordinary thing in the world made him feel safe. Secure in a way he never knew was possible. And then all his thoughts and feelings seemed to vanish as she leaned over and nuzzled him briefly, before stealing a slice of his bacon.

"Hey!!"

Before he had recovered from this sudden thievery, she stole a slice of tomato as well, laughing at his dumbfounded face. Grinning and snarling at the same time, he launched himself across the table and snatched at her plate, but she was ready for him and held it out of his reach. Instead, she grabbed the scruff of his neck and pulled him up for a kiss. Like a kit being carried by its mother, Terry grew limp, and would have collapsed on top of their breakfast if Tanya hadn't been ready to catch him. She lifted him over to her lap, then let go of his neck. He chose to remain limp, however, and slumped against her chest, while he rubbed his muzzle against her cheek. After hugging him for a while, Tanya took her fork and started feeding him. It was a feeling that made his insides melt, to be so cared for. The last of his dark thoughts fluttered away, and he hoped that they were gone for good this time.

Just as they were loading the dishwasher, the phone rang. Terry jumped at the sudden noise, having never heard it before. He had all but forgotten that such machines even existed. Tanya went to answer, while he finished the dishes. As soon as he understood who was calling, Terry broke into a huge grin. He kept his ears pricked, listening in, but it felt a bit odd to listen to half a conversation.

"Hello? Oh, hi Josh. No, he's awake. Doing the dishes after breakfast. No, he wants to help. Well, that's your mom's problem. Terry's a good boy, I don't even have to tell him. What, right away? In the rain? Yeah, I guess it's okay. He needs to be cheered up. No, it's the weather. Rain and grey skies always did get him a bit down. Okay, bye."

"Didn't he wanna talk to me?"

"He's coming over. I thought it'd be okay."

"Yeah, sure! We can finish my LEGO set." Terry started up the dishwasher, then made a dash for the door. In the hall, though, he stopped and turned back, grinning sheepishly. "Forgot about the rain. I was gonna go wait for him outside."

"Better stay indoors," Tanya beamed, tousling his hair. "If you want, I can show you the entertainment centre. I don't think you've seen it yet."

"I gotta go out anyway, to open the gate."

"No, you don't. Come here." Tanya picked him up and sat him next to the sink, just by a window that had a view towards the gate. "Push that button there."

"This one?" Terry eyed the small black switch carefully, then pressed it. A loud buzzer sounded, making him yelp. "What was that!"

"You just unlocked the gate," Tanya laughed. "Oh, come on, don't look like that."

"That wasn't funny!"

"Your face was. Oh, sweetie, don't pout." She hugged hi and kissed his cheek, then helped him down to the floor. "I thought you'd be happy that you don't have to go outside."

"I am. But you could have warned me."

"That wouldn't have been as much fun."

Terry kept his sour face for another few seconds, then he broke into a grin. Laughing, Tanya gave him a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek. He returned it, then took off towards the bathroom. While he washed his hands, he thought about what Tanya had said. Entertainment centre. What did that mean? Was it, like, an entire room just for fun? As he walked back to the kitchen he meant to ask her, but something else popped up in his mind.

"Tanya?"

"Hmm?"

"Does Josh know he's gotta lock the gate after him?"

"No need. It locks automatically once it's been opened and closed. Pretty neat little thing, huh?"

"Yeah, cool! This whole place is so neat. It's gonna take ages getting used to it all. Mom and me, we just had the apartment." The thought of his mother brought back some of the gloomy feeling, but Terry shook it off. "I mean, it was a good place to live, and all, but it was nothing special."

"Maybe it was special," Tanya said in a low voice, sitting down and offering him his lap. He gladly sat down and let her hug him. Clearly, she had sensed his sudden change of mood. "Maybe it was special because you lived there."

"Tanyaaa," Terry whined, then chuckled. "That was way, way too mushy!"

"At least it made you smile." She kissed him on the lips. "I hate to see you down."

"I love you, Tanya," he muttered, burying his muzzle in her neck fur. "Love you so much."

"You too, baby, you too." The buzzer sounded again, making Terry jump with fright. "Oops, looks like Josh is here."

"That damn thing..."

Before he could say anything else, Terry felt himself being hoisted up into the air, and before he had even stopped squealing Tanya had sat him down next to the window again. They peered out through the rain, and Terry's tail started wagging as he spotted a blue-green umbrella moving towards the house. Then he noticed something else, that puzzled him. Josh was dragging something that looked like a large, bright red beach ball, which kept bouncing between puddles. As they got closer, he saw that the ball was reaching out with a tiny hand to hold on to Josh.

"Is that...?"

"Yup, that's little Jerry." Tanya smiled. "He's the cutest thing you'll ever see."

"I doubt that," Terry said as he was lifted back down. He pressed himself closer to his sister and hugged her tightly. "I really doubt that."

"Oh, now who is mushy..." Tanya muttered, but she did return the hug. "Come on, the front door does not open on its own."

Tanya opened the door and let the two wolf boys in. She patted Josh's head while he put away the umbrella, and was rewarded with a lopsided grin and a wagging tail. Then she turned to Jerry to help him out of his raincoat, while Josh pounced Terry. They fell into a laughing, squealing heap, wrestling around until Terry got pinned. Smiling broadly, Terry accepted a hand, and was pulled to his feet. As he turned towards Tanya, he saw that she had been just about right. Peering out from behind her was the face of a tiny copy of Josh. Jerry waved at him shyly, looking a bit scared, but when Terry sank down to one knee and opened his arms, the boy yipped happily and flung himself into them.

"Hullo, Terry," he beamed. "Yer Josh's best friend, right?"

"Yeah, that's right," Terry smiled back. The pup had squirmed out of his arms and was now bouncing up and down, his tail wagging so fast he almost fell over. "Can I be yours, too?"

"Yeah!!!"

Clearly, that had been the right thing to say, because little Jerry ran screaming down the hall, skidded to a stop near the staircase, then dashed back for another bone-crunching hug. After that, he hugged his brother, then Tanya. Terry took a moment to look the pup over. He was really too cute for words. His markings of grey and brown were different from Josh's, but otherwise it could have been as if someone had gone back in time and brought with them a four-year-old Josh. He was even as crazy as his brother, Terry thought as he was hugged yet again.

"Hey, I jus' thought of somethin'," Jerry suddenly said, pausing in his antics to look at them all. "Our names rhyme! Terry an' Jerry!"

"You're right, that must mean we're friends," Terry said, then held up his hands. "Hey, no more hugs, little guy. You're breaking my bones."

"Yeah, be nice to Terry," Josh spoke up, tousling his brother's hair. "He's gotta last for years and years."

"Okay."

"So, who's for milk and cookies?"

Tanya's words triggered an avalanche of boys, which ended up at the kitchen table with hungry eyes and wagging tails. Together, the four of them attacked a plateful of chocolate chip cookies with no mercy, swallowing them down with a half-gallon bottle of milk.

* * * * * *

Tanya was very pleased to see that meeting little Jerry had lifted Terry's bad mood. After their snack, she had kept to her word and showed the entertainment centre. Josh had been over before, but the other boys made big eyes. Beyond the living room, the previous owners of the house had built a room that looked just like a bar, with a drinks counter, colourful signs advertising different beverages, chairs and tables and even a pool table. Tanya's dad had decided to keep the room as it was, but had added a couch and a couple of easy chairs at the far end, surrounding a huge TV screen. There was a DVD player and a stack of films, but what caught the boys eyes was the videogames. Before Tanya had even stopped grinning at their awed, hushed voices, Josh had started up at game of racing that they could all join in. Terry and Jerry had no idea how to drive, but Tanya was pleased to see that Josh didn't whip them completely as he well could have, but even held back enough to let his brother win a couple of time.

After a quick lunch, Jerry took a nap on the living room couch, while the older boys dashed upstairs to work on the LEGO set. Tanya chose to settle down next to the sleeping pup, opening a book she had neglected over the last few days. Every now and then, voices and laughter found their way down the stairs, and each time, she smiled. She renewed her vow that, from now on, she would make sure that her beloved baby brother was always happy. Then, thinking back to how they had teased each other bout being mushy, she laughed quietly.

After about an hour, something began to stir on the other end of the couch. Tanya looked up just in time to see Jerry squeeze his eyes shut. She returned to her book for a moment, then looked up again. This time, the hurriedly shut eyes were accompanied by a not-quite subdued giggle. Tanya waited for another minute, then let a deep growl rise to her throat. She turned slowly towards the boy, and caught him peeking again. Then she pounced, and started tickling his feet mercilessly. The pup was soon broken down to a squirming bunch of laughter a hiccoughs. She kept her attack up until he screamed that he had to pee, then let him up. As he bolted for the bathroom, the other two boys peered in through the door from the hallway.

"Good thing you let him go, Tanya," Josh laughed. "He doesn't kid when he says he's gonna wet himself."

"Oh, so you've had accidents?"

"A couple of times..."

"Mommy, we're kinda hungry," Terry said, smiling at her sudden gasp at hearing the word again. Her heart immediately picked up pace, and she could feel the skin burn beneath her face fur. "Do we got any more cookies?"

"Yes, but maybe fruit would be a better afternoon snack. Save some space for dinner."

"Actually, we gotta be home for dinner," Josh said. Tanya nodded and headed for the kitchen. Behind her she could hear Josh whisper to Terry. "She your mom now?"

"Yeah, kind of. Remember that paper we signed? It means she's taking care of me from now on. So she said I could call her mommy if I want."

"Cool. But she's still your sister, right?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Nothin', just confused. How can she be both?"

"She isn't, don't you listen? She's my sister, but she's gonna take care of me like a mom."

"Oh. I think I get it. Hey, little guy, did you make it to the bathroom in time?"

"Yeah." Tanya turned around just in time to see Josh swing his squealing sibling around. "She tickled me."

"You've got such tickle-friendly toes," Tanya said, smiling at the boy. "They just keep begging for it."

"No, they don't! They's quiet!"

* * * * * *

After eating their fruit, they spent a couple of hours in the bar room playing more video games. Tanya joined in, and made sure to kick Josh's butt thoroughly every time she thought he was mean to any of the others. By the time Josh and Jerry had to leave, it had stopped raining. Jerry still let Tanya help him put on the raincoat, and she soon understood why as the pup immediately he got outside started running for the puddles. Terry and Tanya watched them go, then went back inside. It was dinnertime, but when she asked him what he wanted to eat he just shook his head.

"I'm too tired. Cant we just have a sandwich or something?"

"Sure thing, baby."

They ended up eating a couple of cheese rolls each, then Terry yawned widely. Clearly, so much fun had been tiring. It was only a little after eight, but they still decided to go to bed. In the shower, they washed each other, but they did no really sexual touching. Tanya felt slightly disappointed, but immediately chastised herself. All such things had to happen as Terry wanted them. She could not take advantage of him. Once in bed, terry kissed Mr Cuddles on the cheek and placed him on his pillow, then turned to Tanya. They lay staring into each other's eyes for a long while, before the boy spoke in a quiet whisper.

"I had a great time today."

"I know, sweetie. I could tell."

"You know what would make it perfect?"

"No." She waited for him to tell her, but he stayed silent. As the minutes ticked away, he began fidgeting, twirling his fingers while waiting for words that didn't come. In the end, she took pity on him. "Please tell me, baby. You know you can tell me anything."

"Yeah, okay." He took a deep breath, held it for a moment, then spoke rapidly. "Do you think we could do it?"

"Do it?" Tanya's heart fluttered, and for a moment she almost thought she would faint. Did he really mean...? To buy herself time, she asked what she felt was an unnecessary question. "What do you mean by 'it'?"

"You know..." He blushed deeply. "It. Make love. For real."

"Are you sure, baby?" she whispered hoarsely. "Are you absolutely sure you want that?"

"More than anything else in the world." He leaned in and kissed her lips. "I've wanted it every since... you know, since we started doing stuff. Sexy stuff. But I wanted to wait 'til it felt right."

"And, does it?" She held her breath, hoping and dreading and wishing for a positive answer. "Does it feel right now?"

"Yeah," he whispered, nuzzling her cheek. "I think so."

"Me, too."

Yipping with joy, Terry pulled back the blankets and hugged her tightly. His mouth found her nipple and suckled hungrily, while a hand slowly trailed its way down her stomach towards her sex. She breathed in hard, then moaned as his fingers twirled her pubic fur. Terry wasted no more time, but slid a finger in between her labia. While toying with her folds, he started rubbing his palm over her clitoris, making her see stars. Not wanting to just lie there, she caressed his head with one hand, while she let the other find his rigid erection. She pulled the foreskin back and rubbed his tip, enticing a groan on her nipple that pushed her over the edge. Without having even noticed that her climax was approaching, she cried out loudly and arched her back up and off the bed. Terry giggled as her thighs squeezed his hand, and when she finally relaxed he held up a hand that was all wet with her juices. She made a face as he licked it clean, but then she pounced hi. Growling, she flipped him over to lie on his back, ignoring his squeals and laughter as she dove for his penis. With one swift gulp, she took all of him in and sucked as hard as she could. Terry yelped, then clasped his hands over the back of her head and started thrusting into her mouth. His orgasm was just as hair-triggered as hers, and his erection soon bucked and jumped inside her mouth, while he let out something that was half barks, half groans.

"Unf, unf, unf!!"

And then it was over. He sank to the bed, panting as if he had run the Marathon, and Tanya joined him, snuggling up to him and kissing him gently. They lay there for a long time, occasionally kissing and cuddling as they caught their breaths. Every now and then they would exchange 'I love you', then giggle at their own mushiness. By the time they felt ready to continue, it had been dark outside for a while. Tanya left the bed to turn on the lights, thoroughly enjoying her brothers hungry eyes that roamed her body. She walked slowly back to the bed, letting him get a good look before she lay down next to him. Another brief kiss, then she rolled over to lie on her back, and brought her knees up to her chest, spreading them wide.

"Wow," Terry whispered, swallowing hard as he stared at her exposed sex. "N-now?"

"If you want." She reached up and pressed her muzzle against his ear. He yelped as she nipped him gently. "I do."

Grinning widely, Terry stood up on his knees in the bed, wiggling his hips so that his rock-hard penis jumped before her eyes. She laughed at his antics, then began to purr as he moved down, down until he was positioned between her raised legs. Last time she had been taken, she now recalled, had been over three years ago. It had been a boy in her high school class, but right now she couldn't remember his name. All she could think of was Terry. He gave her a nervous smile, then scooted closer. When she felt the tip of his penis touch her, she closed her eyes and moaned his name.

"Oh, Terry, oh."

Accepting this invitation, he pressed himself against her, then slid in all the way. They both gasped, then Terry returned the moaned name. He held still for a minute or two, getting used to this new feeling, then he pulled back. Tanya opened her eyes, fearing that he would withdraw, but it seemed he knew what he was doing. Just as his tip reached her opening, he thrust back in. They gasped again, then again as he repeated the motion. Terry leaned down above her, placing his hands on the sides of her belly, pushing up with his hips so that the next time he thrust into her, his shaft rubbed her clitoris. As the fireworks began to light up, she couldn't help but wonder how much of this was instinct, and how much he had learned from those stories Bobby had given him. But those thoughts didn't last, as her own instinct took over. She pushed back up against him, rotating her own hips to get maximum pressure on her clitoris. Terry caught on, and imitated her moves. Soon they were both moaning, loudly, and Tanya felt a drop of sweat land on her chest. Terry's eyes were closed, and his face twisted into a grimace of pleasure, as he found a steady rhythm. After a while, Tanya felt that she was getting closer to her orgasm, but she needed more. She leaned up and grabbed Terry's head, forcing him down into a passionate kiss. He increased the pace of his thrusts, and now he started matching them with the movements of his tongue inside her mouth. At the same time, a hand found one of her breasts and squeezed it, palm rubbing against her nipple. That was too much for her, and she came with a scream of pleasure. She cried out again as a second wave of bliss hit her, and just then a shrill cry told her that Terry, too, had reached his climax. He pushed into her as far as he could reach, then held still while his penis did its usual bucks and jumps. When it was finally over, he collapsed on top of her, kissing her hungrily while his purr matched her own. Still kissing, and with him still inside her, they drifted off into sleep.
