#3 of The Young Fox Chronicles

The young fox, still nestled in the strong arms of Weston, laid with eyes wide open, not catching a moment's rest as thirty minutes, then an hour, slowly went by. Frequently he would make a feeble attempt to make himself more comfortable by rustling about on his side, pulling at the covers, scratching an itch on his leg, and other nervous gestures that he was known for when feeling uncomfortable. "There's no way out of this." He told himself, sighing deeply. "There's just got to be some way... some way to make this stop."

"Jesus Christ, kid! Get comfortable and rest, already!" Stated Weston, playfully, giving Ty a shove to the back.

"Sorry." He replied, the sadness in his eyes hidden by both his turned away position and the blanket of night.

Weston caught this hint of sadness. "Something the matter?" He asked nicely. "You know you can talk to me about anything, right?"

"I'm sorry, Wes." He replied. "There's just some things I can't talk about."

"Why's that?"

"I just... I can't. You wouldn't understand." He replied. "God, stop torturing me like this!" He told himself in his mind.

Weston sighed. "Alright... but if you're ever ready to talk, you know that I'm here... right?"

"I know." Replied Ty, knowing full well that what was on his mind he would never fully be ready to talk to Weston over, nor did he ever have any intention of even letting the husky know what was going on. He paused for some time and finally replied. "I just can't sleep."

"Got something on your mind?"

Ty nodded. "Lots of things." He sighed. Although that was in fact the truth, the majority of his problem was what he had spent all day trying to forget.

"Ty..." Weston began, as if he were to begin a long speech. "You know as well as I do that I'm not one to pry in my friend's lives... But in your case, I'm going to make an exception." Weston raised up, flicking on the lamp on the night stand next to his side of the bed. "I've noticed that you've been distancing yourself from me ever since you got here, when you should feel right at home." The young fox rolled over, continuing to listen to his friend. "You and I used to be such good friends back when I was in high school. Remember?"

"Of course I do." Said Ty with an almost saddened smile.

"Well, it just bothers me that somewhere along the line, we lost that. Do you see where I'm going with this?"

Ty rolled onto his back, staring up to the ceiling in thought. "We both know why we're not close any more, Weston."

The husky bowed his head. "Ty, I'm sorry I moved off like I did." The fox remained silent. "You just don't understand why I had-"

"It doesn't matter now." Replied Ty, hurt obvious in his voice. "The damage has been done."

Weston sighed. "I know that, and I know that I can't ever take all of those years I threw away back, but what I can do is try to prepare the friendship that we once had." The fox said nothing; he stared into Weston's eyes blankly. Suddenly, a smile came over Weston's muzzle. "Remember the time I told you about yiff?" He began to laugh. "You didn't believe me! You were so certain that it was the stork that brought you to your parent's doorstep."

Ty couldn't help but smile. Finally, he decided to chime in on the conversation. "..and the time that I had you forge my mom's name on my report card cause I had two C's?"

The two of them began to loudly laugh aloud. "I thought both our mom's were going to kill me when they found out."

The laughter eventually died down. "How are your parents?" Asked Ty, beginning to feel more comfortable with the husky now that they got the ordeal off of their chests.

"I...don't speak to them much any more." Replied Weston, his smile vanishing almost instantly. Curiosity and misunderstanding became evident on the fox's face. "They weren't too thrilled when I ran off, either."

"Why exactly did you run off, Wes?" He finally asked, never truly knowing why he had run off in such a hurry.

"It doesn't matter." He replied quickly. "It's a bunch of nonsense that I'd rather not remember."

Ty frowned. "Please?"

"No; I'm sorry. It's very personal to me. You of all people should understand that." He rubbed his paw on Ty's head. "When you're older."

Ty rolled his eyes. "If I had a dollar for every time I heard that one..."

"I know, I know." Weston laughed. "You just wouldn't understand." He explained, clearing his throat. "Anyway, as I was saying. I truly want your forgiveness, if you'll allow it."

The fox smiled, paused for a moment, and then said, "Of course I forgive you. You were like a big brother to me since I can remember."

"I'm glad." The husky replied. He then held out his arms.

Although he hesitated, Ty raised himself up. "Ty...come on...control yourself." He said to himself as he leaned forward, accepting his warm embrace. The way his masculine frame felt against his own was a sensation far too strong to ignore. Never before had he felt so warm, so happy, so...

"In love?"

"NO!" He told himself, but he couldn't resist the temptation. His paws held his muscular, finely figured back, and his fingers caught every curve. He wanted so badly to reach lower and feel the curves of his entire body, little by little. Oh, but it felt so good...

"T...tyler?" Said the husky nervously.

His friend's voice caught him by surprise. He came back to his senses to find that his hands hade made their way to Weston's very lower back. His face immediately reddened, and as he turned away, noticed that his member had hardened completely in the process. "Oh my God, I..." He looked around nervously, grabbed a pillow, and held it close to his mid area as he jumped out of the bed. "I'm so sorry, Weston... please... Please don't tell-"

"Ty, just-"

The fox was becoming hysterical. "I'm sorry, I just... I can't stop thinking about you, and I just want it to stop! I was afraid you would-" He began to fumble around, walking back and fourth, trying to explain the situation, although he wasn't making much sense due to his panicked state of mind. As he rambled about, Weston somehow managed to roll across the bed and get to his feet. Tears began to stream down the terrified vulpine's face, until he felt a warm paw turn his face slightly, and then it hit him.

They kissed.

For the longest, they both just stood there, muzzles locked in a loving embrace of passion. The sign of affection seemed to last several eternities as Ty's heard pounded heavier than he had ever felt before, and his legs began to give beneath him. He moaned as the kiss continued, placed his paws on the shoulders of his older friend, and pushed away. Weston stared deep into his eyes. "Is this what you've been wanting?" He asked as Ty turned away from him. "I'm not stupid... I've noticed the way you've been looking at me."

Ty's face was as red as blood, and he could feel it. "I... I don't know what to say." He closed his eyes, feeling of his cheeks. "I'm so embarrassed."

"Don't be." Replied the husky, walking over to Ty and placing a hand on his shoulder. "What you are feeling is perfectly normal, Ty. Bad stuff happens when hormones and curiosity gets mixed all up into one."

The young fox shook his head. "No... This is not normal." He explained, turning around to face Weston. "Sometimes the feelings are so strong... I can't even stop my imagination for anything. Sometimes I want you so bad that I..." He couldn't stand to look Weston in the eyes. "I'm scared to death of what I think I'm becoming."

"What you're becoming? Ty, what are you so afraid of? If you're gay, you can't help it."

"That doesn't matter!" He yelled. "If I were... If I were what you just said, then it would cost me everything. My friends, the respect of my mom, CC..." The young fox turned around, bowing his head in stress. "...Why did you kiss me?"

Weston's eyes seemed to stare straight through his own. "Because I've been having thoughts of my own for quite some time." He replied. Ty thought that he would die after hearing these few words. Could this really be happening? Could this situation be any more perfectly mutual? All the anxiety and stress that he had been holding since the beginning of this bizarre trip vanished as if it had never even been there, and once again, he felt that everything was alright.

He decided not to think about what everyone else would think. He didn't care; it was his life, and right now, it was no one's business what the two of them now shared. He would worry about that later, and while he could, would enjoy what he had been longing for. No, he wasn't even remotely ready for something as serious as yiff, but there was nothing wrong with an affectionate embrace. He threw himself toward his new love, muttering, "Hold me." The warm embrace felt so wonderful. He was in love, and he knew it. For a second time, Weston reached for his face, and they once again found themselves locked in a beautiful and perfect kiss. In his mind, he spoke. "Thank you, Weston... Thank you, so much..."
