Code Oblivion: Rebellion: Interlude 3: Life of a Bully

_"It has been a week since the Unsealed attack of Eldra and the subsequent quarantine of what remains of the city." A portly Doberman said as satellite images of the city appeared before and after. "Both MODD and the Salmartian government have started an investigation on just how the Ward-Generator failed and any possibility of foul play." The man said while adjusting his papers. Another Anchor, this time a lithe doe took over.

"The estimated death toll is thought to have been nearly 15,000 the largest Unsealed related disaster since the Great Seal War. As of now, only a handful of victims have been identified; one being a resident of Crosstown, Vernati Bryan Littlesea." The doe said as a picture of a familiar face was displayed.

"Bryan Littlesea was an active member of his community and worked at Crosstown Regional Hospital as Desk Attendant. Littlesea also had a son who's whereabouts are currently unknown." Another picture with an even more familiar face popped up. "The boy, named Kaelan Littlesea who is 15 years old. As Eldra is currently in quarantine we cannot confirm or deny his survival." The doe said right before the channel was turned off._

I was in my room staring at the ceiling. I was trying to wrap my head around what I had heard. An Unsealed attack on a major city was terrifying but an Unsealed attack on a major MODD CONTROLLED city? Even more terrifying! And worse, Littlesea might have died. 'Calm down Jay, kid is annoyingly tough so he probably survived.' I thought to myself. It had been a wild week since news of the disaster had spread. Panic was at an all time high and both MODD and the Rillotian government had declared a border lock down and heightened security in major urban areas. Pollenburn was especially on lock down in case another attack was aimed for there.

However, my thoughts were loudly interrupted by a loud banging from my door. "Hey you piece of shit!" A loud masculine voice shouted from the other side. "I'm out of liqueur and your whore of a mother passed out! I want you to get me more!" I just sighed, my father seemed especially drunk today though normally he would remember that I was 15 and thus not able to purchase alcohol.

I told him as much but the banging only grew worse. "Don't give me lip you waste of space! I should have made that whore abort you! Probably not mine anyway!" The voice shouted drunkenly. I could barely hide my growl. Even if my mother was a drugged up prostitute I was certain that the bastard drunk was my father, we looked enough alike. "You say something boy!?" The voice then hollered. I just sighed and told the man no. "You better not have! Stupid shit! Probably a faggot fairy I bet you are! Got to get me liqueur... Store... stupid whore and stupid bastard." Was all the voice said before staggering away.

Yup that's my home life...Me, James Dawson! Star quarterback of Crosstown High had the shittiest home life. My father was the town drunk who got arrested for public intoxication weekly and my mother was the town bicycle and meth head. Most people had stable home lives but not me! I was forced to watch myself since I was old enough to walk. One of the main reasons Kaelan Littlesea pissed me off so god damn much! Least his father seemed okay.

Sighing, I got out of bed and got dressed because I needed to get out of this house. I hated the holidays, even more than I hated school but at least at school I got away from home. Once I made sure my jacket was on tight and my shoes were good I exited my room and walked down the hallway though the house was filthy as usual. I used to try and keep it sanitary but eventually gave up. The walls were grimy and the carpet was a a disaster.

Finally I made it to the living room where I saw my mother passed out half-naked on the couch. The couch and carpet were both covered in vomit which made me wince. The floor was also littered with countless liqueur bottles as well. My Father sat in his special chair fat, balding and drunk as ever. He seemed to be listening to the news before he noticed me.

"Where do you think you're going shit-face?" He asked me. One thing about my Dad is that I don't remember him ever calling me by my actual name! No 'James' or 'Jay' nope always some insulting epithet.

"Out" was all I said as I walked past him. "I'll be back in a few hours." I said as I reached the door, not even bothering to listen to his response. The weather was chilly as it typically was this time of year. I adjusted my hood to make extra sure my ears and head were covered before I continued to set out. The streets were largely empty which wasn't surprising, it was winter and nothing happened here. 'Gods I hate it here..' I thought as I continued to walk around. 'I hate school, I hate my parents and most of all I hate living in this hick town.'

Thankfully my 16th Birthday was coming soon and my plan could be set in motion. A scholarship from MODD to one of their Military Academies; pretty much the only opportunity one like me would have. My grades were definitely not good enough for some fancy university...not that my worthless parents could afford it. But MODD didn't care about grades...if you could survive their boot camp they would let you in easy and I had gotten quite good at forging my parents signatures not that they really cared.

I was just passing through central plaza when I found myself at the Littlesea residence. Everything looked almost normal...it was hard to believe Mr. Littlesea was dead...he always seemed nice...well I don't think he liked me much since I continuously harassed his son but eh 'I hope he's okay though.' I thought, regarding the mentioned son who had all but consumed my thoughts since I saw that blasted blond. Turns out he was right on the nose!! Yeah surprise, surprise the big mean bully was a flaming faggot who projected his issues on the object of his obsession cliche much huh?

I actually had no idea if he was actually gay really...but damn I had an image to keep! I was the biggest baddest guy in the 10th grade...girls wanted me, hell, I got asked out by upperclassmen several times. Guys wanted to BE me and I was the best damn quarterback in Crosstown High history. But here I was spending years pining after someone who by all rights hated my guts. But I had enough problems at home I didn't want to think of what would happen if my dad found out I was actually gay.

Damn I couldn't wait until I was sixteen! I could fuck whoever I wanted, maybe find another blond, black furred wolf and fuck him silly while pretending he was Littlesea. Okay maybe that was a little bit TOO creepy...thankfully my thoughts were broken when I heard someone call out.

"What the hell are you doing here Dawson!?" The voice stated which caused me to swivel around to see a pretty female leopard holding a few flowers in her paw. Emily Davidson, Littlesea's best friend...maybe she was here to pay respects? Her eyes looked puffy...had she been crying?

"I just found myself here actually, guess you're paying respects?" I asked, motioning towards the flowers. "You were close to Mr. Littlesea right?" She just nodded. "I'm sorry for your loss, but honestly I think Littlesea made it out okay." I said in an attempt to comfort her. "It's just a gut feeling but I trust it." She just gave me a tiny smile at that.

"You know, you aren't so bad when you aren't being a bully. You should act like this more. But I have to ask, why have you tormented Kaelan so bad through the years? What did he do to you?" I stayed silent, it was really none of her business but still she continued to pry. "Oh, don't tell me you really DO have a crush on Kael? What are you, some walking cliche?" I just growled, embarrassed but she just sighed and shook her head. "I hope you are right though, I really do." She said before placing the flowers on the front porch. I just noticed that there was already a sizable amount there. After that she turned towards me.

"You wanna go somewhere? I have nothing to do and I doubt you are very eager to go home am I right?" I just gave her a nod. "Good! We can maybe grab a burger at Sammy's?" I just nodded again and plus, it sounded great and I had enough in my wallet.

"Sounds great!" I said. The walk was quiet and still awkward but I was desperate to break the silence. "Wasn't Sammy a good friend of Mr. Littlesea? How has he been holding up?"

"Not too well...I stop by every day but it's hard for him. He and Mr. Littlesea were close ever since he and Kael moved here." The leopard stated sadly. "Kael used to always get us free food from him which was awesome!" She said before becoming somber. "I miss him, I should have tried to dissuade him...if I'd known that this would happen I would have tried to get his father to reconsider...He was so looking forward to seeing Atlas." I just patted her back sympathetically keeping my muzzle shut. Too be honest I missed him as well.

Not just because I was semi-obsessed with him, no, he was the only person who refused to let me or anyone else walk over him. I respected him actually, he was a lot tougher than he looked.

"It'll be okay there was nothing you could have done. They were already on the move and I doubt he would have listened to you." I exclaimed gently.

"I don't get you..." Emily stated point blank at me. "You are far nicer than I thought possible but why did you decide to torment him so much? Why hide your feelings by making him hate you? Are you really that afraid of someone finding out you're gay?" I quickly shushed her while looking around frantically. Thankfully the snow covered roads were still empty.

"No need to blurt it out!" I whispered hoarsely. "I can't let my patents know! My dad is already an asshole and I don't want to find out what he would say if he finds about me being gay." I muttered. "But I got only a few more months until I'm out of here! Already got a invitation to join a MODD Academy. Boot camp will be a cakewalk and I can get out of here!"

"You want to join MODD? Wow...I had no idea but don't you need a parents signature or something to join an academy?" Emily asked.

"I forged their signatures so I'm waiting till I turn 16 so I can join officially."

"That sounds like Kael! He always went on about wanting to join the World Riders, that's all he's ever talked about when we discussed what our plans after school were. Said he thought he had to...thought that something drew him to them as if by joining the WR he could somehow trigger his missing memory." Memory? What did she mean by that? Seemingly sensing my confusion Emily explained herself. "You didn't know? Mr. Littlesea isn't Kael's biological father."

"I know that much!" I muttered annoyed, they looked nothing alike and from what I knew his Dad was never married. 'But what did that have to do with his memory?' "So what does him being adopted have to do with his memory? Lots of kids are adopted...are you telling me Littlesea is an amnesiac?" I asked feeling guilty at making fun of him when we met...he always seemed off at first but I never thought he had no memory.

"Yes, he can't remember anything past him waking up at his house. That's why he seemed so off when he started school...he had no real memory to base anything off of." She said. "Must have been hard for him...having memory is something we take for granted but he pretty much had to figure things out without it."

"If I had known he had no memory I don't think I wouldn't have treated him so badly..." I muttered. "Kinda feel like shit now to be honest." Emily just gave me an unimpressed hmph at that.

"As you should be, you have been nothing but an asshole towards him since he came here. But not even that, you did it for the most CLICHE of reasons! The bullying your crush thing is so overdone it's not even funny!" She stated making me blush and look around cautiously. Emily might have been justified with this but she didn't have to shout it to the heavens...

"I had my reasons..." I stated lamely. "I was biding my time until I could get out of here, then I wouldn't have to hide." After that I just sighed. "Look, I know that isn't an excuse but that's the truth."

"So you are a coward basically? Why are you so scared of people finding out that you're gay? I doubt anyone would care and are you that afraid of your parents? You are a lot tougher than that drunk and your mother probably would be just too drugged out to notice." Emily asked me bluntly as we were getting closer and closer to our destitution. I didn't say anything, I just put my paws in my jacket pocket and stared at the ground. She was right, I was a coward...but I'd rather be a coward than possibly get thrown out of the house.

Finally we reached our destitution; a small burger-joint about a block away from Crosskeep. Sammy's was the best place for food and I always made sure to grab a burger whenever I managed to collect enough money. Stepping in, it looked like your average burger-joint; black and white linoleum floors, booths along all the walls and a few assorted tables at the middle of the room. It was a comfy place, clean, way cleaner than home that was for sure. At the counter stood a dumpy looking hippo. He looked tired, as if he hadn't been sleeping well.

"Hey Sammy! How are you holding up?" Emily asked as she walked up towards the counter. The hippo just sighed and rubbed his forehead.

"Been better...can't believe Bryan's gone! We were gonna have a poker game when he got back..." He said silently before shaking himself. "But you two gonna order something? I need something to keep my mind off what happened." He stated before moving towards the oven. Surprisingly we were the only people here.

"Slow day?" I asked as he fiddled away behind the counter.

"Nobody wants to leave their homes, everybody is terrified about what happened in Eldra that was a MODD controlled city. It had the direct protects of MODD and look what happened...what would happen if the Unsealed attacked here? Sure we have police but they aren't trained to fight Unsealed and we don't have a Ward-Generator here either." He stated before looking back at us. "Guess you two want the usual?" We both nodded and he quickly got to work on the food. We decided to take one of the booths.

"Can't believe it's so empty...it's almost always packed..." I stated while looking around at the big empty room. "But I guess people are scared." I said solemnly as I turned my attention towards Emily. "Nobody would have thought one of the MODD cities would get destroyed but it happened."

Those poor people though...I can only imagine the agony of waiting to find out if your loved one was one of those killed...I wonder how long that quarantine will be though?"

"Probably a few weeks since that's the standard I believe and they even got an Arc Generator running there. Probably making sure if anyone got infected they wouldn't spread it further." I stated calmly. "I'm sure they got the antidote already being administered but they are probably waiting to make sure everyone checks out." I said as I looked towards Sammy.

The hippo looked distracted, he hadn't moved an inch since I last looked towards him. 'Something's wrong...' I thought as I cautiously turned towards Emily. "Something's up, I'm going to check on Sammy stay here okay?" Emily just gave me a look and it seemed like she was about to protest until she seemingly decided against it.

"Be careful..." She whispered. I just nodded, not really paying attention to her as I made it up there. He still hadn't budged, in fact it looked like he was hunched over and I was starting to smell the scent of burning flesh... what the hell...?

"Sammy...? You alright man?" I asked as I finally reached the counter and what I saw nearly made me barf. Sammy was dead! He had what looked like a large bullet hole right between his eyes and the right side of his face was burned black as it continued to roast on the grill. "What happened?" Almost on cue, two men wearing black appeared out of nowhere, guns brandished at me. I knew those uniforms...but how...? Inquisition were supposed to be a Weleshnian thing! What were a bunch of Inquisition members doing in Rillotia?

"Looks like we got a snooper! On your knees infidel! I'll make it quick but if you struggle I'll make sure it's painful." I couldn't move...no...I wasn't going to die! Not here! Plus, I had to get Emily out. If she got out safely then I could in peace...

Before they could react I tackled the one closest to me and used him as a shield when the other guy opened fire. I saw the life drain out of his eyes as he bled out on top of me. He looked so surprised as his eyes grew dimmer and dimmer. Turning towards where Emily was hiding, I saw her sneaking around while the other gunman was completely focused on me. Adjusting myself I managed to kick the now dead gunman off of me and onto the other one knocking him off balance.

While he was was recovering his balance, I swiftly grabbed his gun which he had dropped and aimed it at him. I also kicked the other gun out of his reach. The man didn't seem fazed however, if anything he looked thrilled.

"You gonna kill me boy? Gonna shoot me full of holes?" I just stayed still, pointing the gun while trying to keep my paws from shaking. Truth be told I never shot a gun before, let alone one of the old school ones. Seeing my hesitation he just laughed. "Figured as much! You are a pussy like the rest of this sorry place! Can't make a kill! I was killing way before your age kiddo!" The man laughed. I just stood my ground, my paws were really shaking by now. Out the corner of my eyes I saw movement behind him and thinking quick I played distraction.

"I don't have to kill you! I can just keep you here until the police arrive!" I said. "Let them handle you!" More movement behind him. The idiot was completely focused on me he didn't even notice Emily standing behind him holding a cast iron skillet. "But I have to say... good night!" He just looked at me confused right before Emily thwacked him with the skillet. I heard a sickening sounding crack as the gunman just fell over, eyes blank and what looked like a sizable head wound. Emily just stood there in shock but we had to get moving now!

"Come on!" I shouted "We need to find someplace safe! If these guys are here there has to be more Inquisition troops here!" Right as I said that the building next to Sammy's exploded causing her to scream. Swiftly I grabbed a hold of her and pocketed the gun. I would probably need it later. Carrying her bridal style I ran out of the building. Outside was chaos as people were running around everywhere. I could hear guns blazing all around us as Inquisition and Police fought it out.

Fire was everywhere and it seriously looked like the end of the world. I kept running though not stopping...I had a destination in mind. Hopefully we could take shelter at the police station, it was probably the safest bet. As I ran I passed by numerous others who were either police themselves or medics tending to the wounded.

"Where are we going?!" Emily asked in a panic. "We got to find our parents!" I just shook my head it was too dangerous to try and search for them. We needed to get to shelter ASAP! Hopefully by then the police could try and contact MODD so they could deal with this shit, send in the Elemental Lord of Wind if necessary! Our police might be going alright but they just weren't prepared to face a fully armed militia!

"They should be fine we need to get somewhere safe! We got lucky in Sammy's but I don't wanna test my luck any more." Emily looked like she was about to protest but I swiftly cut her off. "I know you're worried about them but it's just too damn dangerous! If we try there is a good chance we'll get killed you know that right?" I asked her firmly. "If you want to see Littlesea so badly we have to survive. Your parents should be fine trust me okay?" Emily stayed silent for several minutes before letting out a small sigh.

"I...I trust you..." She finally said. "But I hope you're right." 'I hope I'm right also...' I thought to myself. Finally we reached the station but the building was completely barricaded and they had a makeshift shield generator also. Several policemen stood outside, probably guarding and waiting for survivors to arrive. One lit up greatly when he saw us.

"Thank the gods! More survivors! Get inside! It's far too dangerous here!" I just nodded and walked in. The room was packed with countless civilians. I finally put Emily down just as she was grabbed by two leopards. Looked like I was right after all! Watching their reunion made me happy a little but as I looked around I didn't see my parents anywhere...

"I'm so glad you're both okay!" Emily said while holding her parents close. "I was so worried!"

"We were among the first ones here! We were so afraid you got caught up in the violence!" Her Father said calmly. "Where were you?"

"We were at Sammy's! He's...he's dead Dad...they shot him. Me and James barely got away!"

"That's awful!" Her mother gasped out before hugging me, catching me by surprise. "Thank you! Thank you so much! You saved our baby!" She cried while I just patted her back awkwardly.

"It's nothing ma'am, she's the one who took out one of the gunmen! Hit him with a cast iron skillet! You should've seen her!" I stated awkwardly. "I just played distraction really." I continued but it was weird being praised for something I never got from my parents. My father would never consider me his and mom would always be too drugged up to frankly give a shit about me. Was this what it felt like living in a normal household? Was Littlesea's home life like this? If so I envied him even more!

"It was still brave son! I'm proud of you! You are a bright spot on your family I think!"

"My Dad certainly doesn't think so!" I muttered bitterly. The man just gave a sympathetic smile and patted my back lightly.

"I know your Father he was never the nicest person but you have a noble heart James no matter how you try and hide it. You are not your father and you have so much potential I think. But truly, thank you for protecting my daughter." He said in a kindly tone making me blush. "You can sit with us! We have an area set up for us so you don't have to be alone."

"Thanks Mr. Davidson I'd appreciate that!" I said as I followed the leopards deeper into the building. Despite the building appearing small, the inside was quite spacious and it seemed as if the walls had been infused with an expansion field while it was being built. As we walked past I saw more refugees and others slowly entering the building, most with a variety of injuries. On the way I passed a pair of officers whispering to themselves.

"I cannot believe Inquisition attacked here...what could they want here?" One asked panicked. The other just shook her head, the collie looking just as scared as her partner.

"I wouldn't know...I can't believe they are in Rillotia..." I just shrugged them off as we reached the basement of the station. Once there we entered a large set of doors and into what looked like a makeshift refugee camp. It looked like numerous makeshift rooms had been set up, each separated so to allow privacy. I followed the leopards until we reached their allotted area. It was small, two twin sized cots and spaces for clothing and other toiletries. It was amazing how they got everything up so fast...

"All Rillotian Police Stations are requited to keep safe areas for their populace. This room is typically sealed except for emergencies." Mr. Davidson explained as he sat on his cot. "Been like that since the Rillotian-Weleshnian War. MODD personally built the vast majority of them, this one included."

"I remember that. It happened about 115 years ago. Conflicts between the countries had escalated to the point of an all out war. Thousands were killed and MODD was forced to send the Elemental Lords of Wind and Earth and their forces to end the war and lead directly lead to the MODD endorsed 'Mortaelean Military Decommission Act' which ended State run military forces and leaving MODD in control over all Defense matters with the Elemental Lords being in charge."

"Yes! Exactly! It was a landmark act and drew criticism from Anti-MODD forces that saw it as a coup against a Nations right to protect themselves." Mr. Davidson stated. "This lead to several protests and riots and the most resent Trinan Rebellion." He said before sighing. "There are only two cots you might have to take a bed with me and my wife and daughter take the other, is that okay son?" I just nodded, seeing the logic he probably didn't want his daughter bedding with a teenage boy. Though I had no actual interest in her.

"Um Mr. Davidson I'm..." I didn't know why but I actually felt comfortable around the man, enough to actually tell him about my sexuality. It was weird...sure I had known him my entire life, he taught History at Crosstown Middle but I never thought I'd confide in him something so personal. But before I could finish he just set his paw up and chuckled.

"No need to finish that son, I suspected as much since you were in my class." The man said softly. "But even then I would prefer my daughter bed with her mother I'm sure you understand. I'm protective of my daughter especially around teenage boys."

"You don't seem bothered with her being alone with Littlesea..." I noted causing him to laugh.

"True, but Kaelan is a very special case...let's wait this out we should be safe here until MODD arrives." He stated calmly. The rest of the day passed rather peacefully. Outside I heard the fighting though I had also learned that the Police had contacted MODD and they were sending an Anti-Inqusution force that should be here by the next morning. So really all we had to do was wait everything out.

At night just about everyone had fallen asleep...Thankfully it seemed almost everybody had made it safely. The area was packed but that was a good thing. My parents were missing though and despite myself I was actually getting worried... even if they were shit parents I didn't want anything to happen to them. I sighed to myself as I went to the bathroom.

There were about 8 for each gender in the room. I chose the one closest to us. Looking at my watch showed it was about 2:30. I really should be asleep but it just didn't want to come. I was also a bit horny...(I blame teen hormones) but jacking off while Mr. Davidson was sleeping next to me was probably not the best thing to do. But just as I was about to enter the bathroom I heard commotion coming from upstairs.

"Containment Breach! Sound the alarms! We got to protect the civilians!" I heard someone cry before loud blaring alarms sounded, waking everyone up before a voice rang from the loudspeaker.

"Attention Civilians! The Station has been breached by Inquisition forces! We are sealing the doors to the Safe room. We will unlock them as soon as we are able to repel them. Please stay calm." The man said before complete and utter pandemonium erupted throughout the room. People were everywhere huddling together in fear. I noticed the doors were closing but on instinct I ran for them. I actually still had the gun from the gunman at Sammy's and I wasn't going to wait to be rescued like a helpless pup! I was going to show my father I was a somebody! A hero! I had barely made it out when another voice called for me.

"What are you doing?!" It called out. Surprised, I turned and saw Emily standing behind me with her hands on her hips. "Didn't you hear that there is a breach?! Why on earth did you run out here?!"

"I could ask you the same." I stated back. "Why did you follow me?! It's dangerous!"

"I can't just let you rush out alone idiot!" She shouted in a frustrated tone. "What, did you think you could play hero? You couldn't even shoot that bastard at Sammy's! What makes you think you can do it here? If I wasn't there he probably would have called you on your bluff and what then?!" She shouted. I quickly shushed her however.

"Be quiet idiot!" I told her! "I can't wait to be saved...I'm not a coward!" I stated basically "I'm sick of people thinking of me as just a dumb jock! I'm sick of my father refusing to say I'm his! If I die then fine! I'll die trying to stop a bunch of sociopaths! Far more than my worthless drunk of a father ever did!" I stated stubbornly.

"Is that it?! Are you seriously trying to risk your life just to spite that drunk? He's not worth it! What about you trying to join MODD? What about that?" I just shrugged before I heard an icy sounding chuckle. I actually felt the fur on my neck stand up. Turning around I saw a masked gunman standing behind us.

"Looks like we got a bunch of naughty kiddies here! I'm going to have so much fun!" Immediately I placed myself between him and Emily, blocking her from his view. I had also managed to grab my gun and level it at him.

"Come any closer and I'll blow your brains out asshole!" I snarled, my hands were steady this time and my mind clear I was done being a coward and I couldn't let Emily get killed because of me. She followed me out here so it was my responsibility to keep her safe so I owed her and her father that much.

"Like you really would brat!" The man mocked but just as he was about to step forward I pulled the trigger and the bullet whizzed past him barely and half-an-inch away from his head causing him to scramble back.

"Still doubt me?" I hissed out coldly. He just stared at me eyes uncovered and I saw fear. "What? Can't handle it being thrown back at you? You're just a murderous bully!" I said before looking away. "Not that I have room to talk...I'm hardly better. I'm a bully myself and I've tormented someone because I couldn't come to terms with my sexuality but I'm done...I'm sick of hiding! Now either stay still or I'll make damn sure my next shot won't miss."

The man looked to be looking for something but I saw a flash of black and cold and the man was thrown a good distance away. I had to gasp at what I saw. Standing in front of me was a black furred wolf with golden blond hair and bright blue eyes. He was also almost completely covered by what looked like glowing black and gold tattoos.

"Littlesea?!" I cried out in shock "You're alive!" He just gave me a surprised look before I ran up, grabbed him and laid a big kiss on his muzzle. I heard Emily snicker but I didn't care I was finally going through with what I had been fantasizing about for years and it felt good! Unfortunately the kiss was ended when Littlesea got his arm free and slugged me hard. I was knocked down slightly dazed as I saw his glaring face above me.

"What the fuck was that!?" He snarled out. "You spend years tormenting and harassing me! Calling me a faggot among many other things but you up and kiss me?!" I just nodded awkwardly. "Are you serious? You put me through hell for who knows how long and you were gay yourself? Are you seriously that THAT cliche?!" 'Geez I get it...can everybody stop pointing out the cliche thing damn...'

"I had my reasons!" I stated while trying to regain my composure. Thankfully before he could retort Emily was quick to embrace him and hold him tight.

"You're alive! Thank the gods! I was so worried! I thought I lost you! But what's with the glowing tattoos?" I also wondered that. I know for a fact Littlesea didn't have any tattoos but he was covered in glowing almost tribal style ones. He gave her a confused look before connecting the dots.

"Oh, this is my brand see?" He swiftly grabbed his arm and the tattoos completely evaporated except for one single tattoo that showed up as he removed his paw. "Pretty handy! I'm stronger and faster when it's activated and I also heal faster! Perks of having it."

"You alone?" I asked him in a curious fashion. No way would he be able to get from Eldra to here by himself especially with Eldra under quarantine.

"No I'm not" He said calmly before shouting "Flint! Loni! Down here!" I heard footsteps and tensed before I saw a giant of a Tiger and a slender lioness enter. The tiger was pretty well built hell, he made me look puny by comparison. He had startlingly red hair in a crew-cut and his eyes were an even brighter green. He wore the same jacket as Littlesea and a pair of dirty jeans. The lioness was similarly dressed and looked familiar...I could have sworn I saw her on TV somewhere but I was broken from my thoughts when I heard Emily gasp.

"You're Loni Daniels! From Shellington news! You're like my favorite anchor there! What are you doing here? How did you meet Kael?" She asked excitedly before Littlesea quickly shushed her. THAT'S why I recognized her! I always made sure to watch the news and she was often shown on the field. To her credit the lioness just smiled and blushed.

"It's a long story but basically we both got caught up in the chaos surrounding Eldra but let us talk about this later. We helped clear the police station Kael should we go find the others?" She said and Littlesea just nodded.

"Yeah you two stay here the police should open the gates soon so get back in there!" He ordered. Emily just gave him an indignant look and I just smirked did he really think we would actually listen to him?

"I'm going why should I listen to you?" I told him flatly.

"I'm not being left behind again Kael! I'm going to!" Littlesea looked about to protest before the tiger gently knelt down beside him and whispered in his ear.

"Being a bit hypocritical don't you think kid? We let you tag along with us, let them come too we'll keep them safe right Loni?" The lioness just smiled and nodded.

"He's right Jacob we let you fight so you should let them fight." Wait... Jacob? What the hell? His name isn't Jacob is it?" Loni seemed to catch my confusion as she explained herself. "Jacob was the name he was given when he was born, Kaelan Littlesea is the name his adoptive parent a man named Alistair Stark gave him."

"You're talking about Mr. Littlesea? His name is Bryan?"

"He worked in the faculty MODD kept me in then one day he smuggled me out and erased my memories and brought me here." Littlesea stated calmly. "I remember very little but I'm starting to piece things together." He said before shrugging. "If you two are going let's go we can't keep the others waiting long." He stated before he started running. He had changed so much in the week...it was as if he were a different person but deciding that was for another time I followed him, the others behind me.

Outside the station was a mess, the entire street was wrecked. I saw several officers rounding up unconscious Inquisition members, probably to lock them up. As we walked through town I saw more of the same thing happening, fighting was heavy but when we finally reached our destination I was surprised. There were 3 more figures. One was a wolf, older than Kael's early 20's maybe, his fur was red and his hair was brown and he was covered in markings much like Littlesea had been.

"About time you three showed up," The wolf stated when he saw Littlesea "what took you so long?" He asked and beside him was a slender blonde vixen wielding a naginata and a stern looking Dobbie who held two duel energy pistols. The wolf himself was holding a fancy looking gunblade.

"We ran into these two." Littlesea said while motioning towards me and Emily. "How are things progressing?"

"Everything is doing well, we helped police recapture a few areas of the town while Inquisition has a small pocket of control in others." The vixen said. "We might have to wait for MODD to show up before we can clear this completely and we are still undermanned." Littlesea just nodded satisfied

"We'll still do what we can, any word on casualties?" He asked.

"Sammy...Sammy's dead" Emily spoke up shyly. "They killed him...me and James barely got away." Littlesea looked devastated but he quickly dismissed it, putting on a neutral expression but I could tell it was a facade, I had gotten good at reading him over the years. It's how I got so good at hitting his buttons and he was struggling...I still think he hadn't let himself fully grieve for his father and now, hearing a dear family friend also die I felt bad for him.

"No official word but they seem low, the police managed to get the majority in the station." Aidan said. "But we still got a ways to go. It seems the attacks are slowing down, hopefully we can keep them pinned down until MODD cleans things up."

"Don't have to wait anymore Lieutenant Hart." A firm but somewhat youthful voice rang out. All of us jumped and turned to see a wolf, not a very tall wolf even Littlesea was taller but he was pretty stacked from what I could tell. He looked really young very early 20's or possibly late teens. His eyes were a brilliant sapphire blue, the same shade as Littlesea's. His fur was brown and silver and his hair was a silvery, bordering on white blond. But what really caught my eye was what he wore. A sleeveless black coat...an Elemental Lord Coat.

"Holy shit I know you! You're the Starlight Warrior! Rex Reaper!" I cried out. But I noticed Littlesea seemed a million miles away in his thoughts because he was staring at the newly arrived Elemental Lord, eyes looking blank before he snapped back and uttered only a single word. "Rex...?" That caught the man's attention and he gasped.

"It can't be... Jake!?" He asked before running up to Littlesea, he was crying, he seemed so happy and Littlesea just looked confused. "I've been looking for you... for years...Mom had given up hope but I knew you were out there! Where have you been baby brother?" Wait... BROTHER?! No way...No way was Littlesea his brother... 'Way to go Jay! You've been tormenting the little brother of the Elemental Lord of Space!' I thought to myself.

"Just hold on Commander Reaper are you seriously saying that Kaelan is your brother?" The wolf Lieutenant Hart...? Asked and the smaller wolf just gave him a small nod.

"I don't know any Kaelan's but this boy is definitely my brother! Jacob Samuel Reaper. But wow, you definitely take after Mom! You're already taller than me! Oh, Mom will be so happy to see you!"

"Mother...? I'm so confused... I have no idea who you are but I feel like I've known you my entire life... I've seen you... My flashes... Your dad was named Isaac right...?"

"Yes he was, you don't remember me? At all?" Littlesea could only shake his head.

"I don't remember anything... Not you, not this 'mother', not anything." He said before his body started to seize.

"Jake?! What's wrong with him? Wake up!" He shouted as he tried to shake the wolf. Emily just gasped but kept her distance while Lieutenant Hart approached cautiously.

"Calm down this has happened before...I think he's slowly regaining his memories, he should be fine in a bit." With that, Littlesea's body relaxed and he just groaned. "Let's get to camp we can start the fight tomorrow. We all need rest." The wolf said before walking away. This was crazy... but really, I'm glad I came with Littlesea. Maybe he can help me find my purpose? 'I promise Littlesea...I'll redeem myself in your eyes...you'll be my purpose so please let me redeem myself.' I thought before I followed the others into the darkness and turning my back on my old life.
