Put up or Shut up PT 6
#7 of Put up or Shut up
A little piece to step forward. Some things just get weirder.
Beep, beep, beep.
Debbie swats the alarm clock to turn it off. It seems it's going to be another one of those days, because she can smell coffee eggs and bacon wasting up from the kitchen. Likely her son Breyer is cooking breakfast again. He's been doing that a lot lately, trying to prove to her that he loves her and that he is trying to make up for the fact that he and his brother did not tell her the whole truth of some of their past.
Debbie thinks back but first time she met her kittens, after a long night of partying with some of her friends her car got stuck in a puddle three feet deep. True she was able to get her car out eventually. Only to have it drown out when a semi trailer passes her on the road and as she tries to dry the engine compartment out enough so that the spark plugs can fire again. She hears whimpering from a nearby storm drain. Her maternal instincts had kicked in at that point so she investigates the sound, she finds a pair of children a 10-year-old and an 6-year-old huddled together on a maintenance ledge of the storm drain shivering in the cold water that laps at their ankles and waist. The younger one looks over to her but shyly turns his head away into the shoulder of his older brother. Debbie is guessing the two of them are twins. The older boy looks her in the eye and in his eyes is a look of determination yet, there is also fear as well. Debbie slowly approaches the pair being watched by the older boy all the while, when she almost can reach the boys she stops and holds out her hand.
"You seem to need some help and a storm drain is not a safe place to be during the storm. If you willing to trust me just a little, I could take you to a place that's a little warmer."
The older boy nods his head. Picks up his brother and starts moving towards her, she brings them to her car opens the door and the boys get in, she moves back to the front of her car to try to get the engine started the older boy, she finds at her side looking at the engine.
"Lady just so you know my name is Breyer and my brother is Thorne. And thank you for your kindness."
"Well Breyer my name is Debbie."
"Let's see if we can get this car move shall we."
"Yes let's, how is it that you seem to be hostile to me a short while ago but now you're starting to be kinder."
"Miss Debbie I wasn't being hostile to you per se, it's just that I've had a long night in a very wet and cold place. I'm just sorry that I took my displeasure at being cold and wet on you."
Breyer fiddles with some things in the engine compartment then he moves to the driver-side door opens it and turns to key, the car starts right up. Debbie closes the hood and moves to the passenger side door the car horn honks she looks through the windshield and sees Breyer motioning for her to reclaim her property. As Debbie gets into the driver seat Breyer shifted to the front passenger seat his brother and his arms asleep. On the ride back home Debbie notices that even Breyer is asleep. The look on his face, both their faces tell her that they feel comfortable with her. And she hopes that with luck they might allow her to adopt them.
A knock on her door frame gets Debbie's attention to the here and now, Breyer is holding a tray with breakfast for her on it. "You know dear if you keep doing that, I might stop being able to cook."
"Not likely mom, considering all the things that we've been putting you through, the weirdness. Me and Thorne are happy that you are kind enough to keep us around."
Debbie lets out a slight growl at those last words. When Breyer sets the tray on his mom's lap he raises his hands in a gesture of surrender. The doorbell rings. Breyer makes a hasty retreat saying. " I'll get it." As Debbie is eating her breakfast her younger son enters her room. "Morning mommy, did you sleep well?"
"Yes dear I had a good sleep, how about you?"
"I wet the bed again." Thorne hangs his head in shame at those words. Debbie knows that Thorne is trying to act his age and be like his brother in some matters. But Thorne though he knows he has did the nerve dysfunction in his groin region, he still sees that many of his friends and his brother's friends and siblings don't have to wear diapers 24/7 365. Though Thorne understands that his brother wears them for political reasons Breyer still acts like he's potty trained. That is that Breyer only wets or messes his diapers when he is in a restroom or after holding it for as long as he can.
Debbie motions for Thorne to come closer and she gives him a hug.
When Debbie finishes her breakfast she picks up the tray from her bed and heads towards the kitchen as she walks down the stairs she hears that Breyer is grunting and muffling curses then she hears a bang as if something heavy has collided with an immovable object. She sets her tray onto a small bureau in the hallway and she heads over to where the sound originated from. She sees that Breyer is moving a box into the living room by the look on his face tells her that the boxes heavy. Thorne is looking at all the shenanigans from the kitchen doorway smile on his face. Debbie asked Thorne what's in the box and when it come from. "Mommy we don't know what's in the box yet because Breyer hasn't opened it. he only signed for."
"Mom it seems like someone had sent me and Thorne a package the damn thing is heavy # grunts # and awkward."
"Breyer try to keep your language civil. And what you mean someone sent the package didn't you recognize the address of the shipper?"
" Mom, Huff. Huff. the way the courier looked. I doubt he was a true postal carrier more like a stalker or an assassin guild member."
"And you still signed for a package from that shady character?"
Both boys say in unison. "It's better to sometimes take a little chance with a box than it is to take a big chance with a person."
Debbie shudders at that one. Since they told her that they both were created in a lab and meant to be super soldiers before they escaped. Since they have identical genes when they speak in unison Debbie gets kind of creeped out by it. But what scares for the most is that they never knew their father or mother never had one to begin with except for a test tube machine and a pair of doctors that wanted to play God. Breyer told her of the training he went through, experiments that were done to him what the doctors and soldiers augmented on his body. Thorne following his brother's lead told Debbie his mommy now. what the many scientist had done to him, though some of the experiments Breyer had to tell him and his mom. Because Thorne did not remember it because he was not conscious for the experiments when they happened.
Quick motion snaps Debbie out of her revere. "Mom are you all right?" This from Breyer. "Yeah mom are you all right? You spaced out on us." This from Thorne
"yes boys I'll be fine. it's just mommy's trying to think of some things." Debbie said with a slight from. Both boys look at each other then look to her and in unison say. "Mom we should not look at the past but in our future for its happiness." Breyer goes back to the box he was dragging him into living looks it over finds a pocket on the side of the box that's holding some files paper brings them back with him back to the dining room. Thorne starts looking through them when Breyer heads back to the hallway to retrieve his mother's tray. Debbie smiles and starts thinking to herself I'm a very lucky woman to have these two as my sons. Breyer finished washing the dishes. Looks over at his brother and asked. "What did we get today with that box. And what type of trouble is it going to cause for us."
"You'll love it. For it is one of the people things really that made us." Breyer and Debbie have looks of surprise on their faces, Thorne grinning from ear to ear.
"Mom could you change Thorne's diaper while I go check out that box and its contents." Breyer says as he makes a quick exit towards his room to pick up his desert Eagle 50 caliber action express pistol that Debbie does not like having in the house but due to the recent information she's been told she is willing to overlook it. Thorne and Debbie head to Thorne's room. Thorne sits down on his bed motions the imp cats to get away as Debbie goes over to one of the small dressers that Thorne has in his room. Opens a top drawer of it for the pack of wipes, a small power puff and a bottle of talcum powder along with a diaper that needs to be a replacement for the used one that Thorne is wearing. With supplies in hand Debbie heads to where Thorne is sitting motions for Thorne to lay down. Debbie removes Thorne's diaper and starts to peel front to the edge of the bed and is given a full view of Thorne's little soldier sticking out of his slit as if it's willing to greet any and all comers. "Excited dear" " ah mommy its been a bit squishy around certain places and its kind of pleasurable to my body." Thorne says with a blush. Debbie will continues with the diaper change wiping Thorne with baby wipe, pulls the used wet diaper out from under Thorne slides a nice clean one under him. Lovingly sprinkles the baby powder on to his diaper area and tapes to diaper shut planting a kiss on the front landing zone to get to get a giggle out of Thorne. As Debbie is throwing the used diaper into its pail. She asks Thorne what do you say? Thorne says "thank you mommy for changing my diaper" "you're welcome sweetheart." Thorne gets off the bad and goes through dresser to get ready for the day. Debbie walks to the living room to see what Breyer is doing. As she closes in on the living room she notices that the phone in the hallway is trailing its cord into the living room, a home phone in question has a special circuitry that keeps private conversations to the two people on the phone from getting to other people even if they're in the same room. Just as Debbie rounds the corner into the living room Breyer hangs up the phone onto its cradle and turned around to set the cradle back to the wall socket. Before Debbie can ask who was on the phone Breyer says that his friend Bobby and his mother are coming over shortly to discuss some things that happened a couple weeks ago.
Breyer moves back over to the box and Debbie follows him to get a closer look.
"So what's in the box dear one?"
"Trouble with a capital T."
"How so?"
"Mom remember when you said be careful what you wish for. You might just get it. Well what I wished for. I got."
"And"
"well, to put it one way. I have a new pet that I would love to beat. To put it another is that I now have a thing that I can shock the shit out of. A third option, would be to send this to the gray stalkers. And let them sort out."
"Breyer honey I understand that you when agitated with certain things will recourse to certain language. But at the moment I don't want to hear it. And you know I don't like to hear than a living being referred to as a thing."
"Mom the individual that is straight jacketed, hooded, connected to a couple tubes and stuffed in a box. Stopped being a being when he put augmentation and his dick into my brothers and my butt hole."
Debbie gives an exasperated sigh. she does not like the fact that her son uses course language when he has an IQ of better than average. Before Debbie can say another word to Breyer about anything more on the subject the doorbell rings since Debbie is closer to the front door she turns to go answer it. He looks through the side window to see who it is and sees Breyer's friend Bobby standing on the opposite side wearing a dark hoodie. When the doors open he greets her with his usual good day to you MS. Starpaw beside him is another cat that shockingly looks like Breyer use to. Bobby makes a motion towards him and says. Miss Starpaw this is alias he's a friend of Breyer's and Thorne's.
