The undefeated gladiator
Adon sat at the bar having ordered a rum and coke and continued to scan the crowd seeing who was in the pub. To adon's amazement there were just as many humans as morphs within the bar, sure humans and pokemorphs were equal in terms of their rights but the humans and even some of the morphs he had been around all thought themselves superior to him and the rest of his race that had he not been in the arena back then he would of done to them what he did to the combatants in the ring. Adon again shook his head as he caught himself thinking of his past, regardless of how horrible it was it still was a part of him and shaped him into the Houndoom he was today.
"Um Adon are you ok, you look far off in thought" said the Umbreon female Lumina which snapped him out of his trance and he smiled at her gently saying "sorry Lumina just thinking of something was all" as he lifted the glass to his lips and took a sip of the drink he felt the carbonated soda fizzle on his tongue and tasted the sweetness of the rum which helped bring his mind back to reality. "Well if you want to talk about it I am told I am a great listener" Lumina said to Adon which produced a chuckle from him saying "Ah it is just about my old...job..." he said letting that word roll off his tongue with more sorrow and pain then he intended, "What about you old job Adon? Was it something you loved a lot? Do you miss your old co-workers?" Lumina asked which again made Adon smirk. "I wouldn't say I miss my old job, I won't lie that it was definitely a more active job" he said seeing the confused look on her face, Adon thought for a minute about how to word it so as to not raise any suspicion and said "I was a fighter, so I was always getting my ass kicked, granted I never lost a fight but I always was so banged up afterwards I never had any energy or strength to do much else other than sleep afterwards, and not having friends to hang with it was a lonely job" he said taking another sip of his drink.
A long silence fell upon the two of them as the Rapidash woman on the stage continued to sing very soothing and relaxing songs for the crowd. "I...see..." said Lumina not knowing how to respond to Adon's answer, so she did the only thing she knew and placed her hands on his saying "Well why you may not have your old job you came to this city and wanted to start fresh and try something new am I right?" Lumina asked with a bright smile on that smooth furred face of hers. Adon looked up into her eyes and nodded and opened his mouth to say something when he was interrupted.
"OY LUMINA OUR DRINKS ARE EMPTY SOME FILL US BACK UP BABE!" yelled a very loud and very drunk Grovyle morph. Lumina rolled her eyes and said "Sorry Adon we can continue this in a minute" as she filled a pitcher of beer and brought it over to the group saying "There Michael now please shut that mouth of yours along with your friends, your causing a ruckus and disturbing all the other guests" she said turning around to leave. The grovyle morph very intoxicated grabbed her arm and pulled her back to him as she fell on his lap and he groped her saying "ohhhh come on babe, I want more than just beer service, come on you and me have mated before, I can't forget the tastes of this delicious body I rutted over and over that night" he said kissing her neck drunkenly.
Adon all the while was sitting there watching it unfold drinking his rum and coke, he could tell Lumina could handle herself for the most part but this Grovyle morph was clearly more drunk then she expected and on top of that he had a firm grip on her so she couldn't resist him. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the growlithe female get up to go over to her friend to help but was stopped by a crowd that was passing through. Seeing Lumina squirm and seeing the dissatisfaction in her eyes at what the Grovyle morph Michael was saying he decided to step in. "Nggggh, Michael let me go and don't bring that up we were both drunk and not thinking clearly" Lumina said but the Grovyle wasn't letting up, she could feel him using his drain ability on her to sap her strength from fighting and soon she became frightened, she didn't know what would happen with him being so drunk but soon she felt a firm hand grab her and pull her off of Michaels lap and into the chest of a houndoom "Adon!" she yipped startled as his eyes were very menacing as his next words came out of his mouth.
Adon grabbed Lumina's hand pulled her into his chest whilst the drunken Grovyle and his buddies which were both human and morph stood up at this intruder ruining their fun, "She said she doesn't want to and I suggest you respect the ladies wishes" he said with menacing conviction at the group which made them stop for a second. "HUUUUUH?! WHO THE HELL ARE YOU YA DAMNED MUTT?! WE WERE JUST HAVING FUN!" said Michael loudly as he walked towards the two of them his fists clenched and his tail bristling, Adon having fought (and killed) plenty of Grovyle when he was a gladiator knew this guys was readying to attack. Adon pulled Lumina behind him and said "Lumina go to your friend and call the cops now" he said as she was about to protest and he said "They aren't going to back down, go I can't protect you and fight them off" he said as she nodded and soon after a fist came flying at him from the Grovyle.
Adon blocked the fist with ease and returned the punch back with his own connecting it with the Grovyle's lower jaw sending him staggering back into his friends who caught him, "I would suggest against this you won't win" he said cracking his knuckles. Michael spit out some blood from his mouth and said "OH YA?! GET'EM GUYS!" he yelled as the other guys all charged Adon as well but he merely sighed as he grabbed the first punch from a human male that came at him and blocked it away and struck him in the chest sending him flying back onto a table breaking it, soon two more came at him this time morphs one a machamp morph and the other and Raichu Morph, both of them used the equivalency to Irontail and karate chop But again Adon easily dodged them using his equivalency to extreme speed and both the morphs fell to the ground knocked unconscious. The other human and morph guys took a step back but Michael having regained his footing said "MORONS! ATTACK AT ONCE!" as they all charged and Adon smirked, "go ahead and try" he said as he dodged and weaved between the attacks and struck back with just as much force knocking each of them unconscious. Within a matter of minutes all of the guys were on the ground writhing in pain but none with major injuries.
Adon looked to Lumina saying "See? No need to worry" but soon he felt a very heavy hand slam into his ribcage and he looked to his side and what he saw wasn't a fist but the tail of the Grovyle morph Michael slamming him with a very strong iron tail attack which broke at least three of his ribs. Adon slammed against the railing of the upper floor where they were which had him cough up some blood, "Adon!" Lumina yelled seeing him cough up blood but her Growlithe friend held her back as she felt what was coming next. Adon lay against the railing still catching his breath trying to calm his mind, "don't Adon, you can't harm him he will die" he said almost gaining back calmness until Michael stood over him saying "It is you who will die mutt" as he slammed him with a X-scissor across his chest several times gashing into him, but to Adon the pain was very dull what he was more concerned about was what he couldn't hold back. The Grovyle morph kept slashing him until one swipe was stopped, Michael was stunned and felt his bones cracking from immense strength coming from the Houndoom as his eyes looked into the houndooms and what he saw were the eyes of someone whom had killed and now Michael was the one who was afraid.
Michael tried to get free but it was no use as Adon stood up and with his other hand slammed it into Michaels arm and with a loud "SNAP!" his arm was broken. What came next would permanently scar Michael as Adon sunk his teeth into his neck, but they were just his teeth it was a fire fang attack which engulfed Michael and Adon in a blaze sending a writhing scream from Michael as the fire burned and seared him. Lumina yelled "Adon stop you're going to kill him!" which surprisingly to her and the people around did stop him as he withdrew his teeth from the neck of the Grovyle his maw covered in blood and his shirt torn to shreds, Soon whispering and gasping saying "That is Adon the undefeated gladiator the illegal arena fights" they said as a tattoo on his back on his right shoulder which was the sign of a champion and warrior of the Arena was revealed on him.
Adon lost all his strength as he fell to the ground the blood lose too much as his adrenaline high wore off and soon he lost consciousness. Lumina now was able to break free from her friend and ran over to Adon saying "ADON COME ON YOU CAN'T DIE, NOT HERE, I REFUSE TO LET YOU!" she screamed. Lumina didn't know why she was acting so hysterical but for some reason she didn't want to lose Adon and the other girls came to her side as well bringing what they could to help their friend until the paramedics arrived to help the dying Adon.
