A Pet Kitty Cat for Nexii by Draconicon
Nexii clasped the edges of her cloak around her tightly, her claws digging into the fraying material as she walked up to the walls of Felwithe. The old walls were crumbling, but still strong enough to keep out the casual traveler. Even those like her, on official business, tended to get stuck in line.
Thankfully, this wasn't one of those times. One look from the elf on watch, and she was called to the front of the line. The snow leopard female wove between the other traders and travelers that were waiting their turn until she was at the front of the line. The light skinned watchers bowed as she approached, and Nexii returned the courtesy.
"I hope that Offering is ready to see me. It's been a long journey, and I can use the rest and hospitality."
"Of course, Lady. She is waiting for you in her quarters on the north side of the chapel."
Nexii sighed. It would be the chapel.
"Thank you. I'll be on my way."
Her fur bristled slightly in annoyance as she made her way north, though she quickly regretted the expression. It let more of the cold in, and she quickly smoothed down the exposed bits outside the cloak. Offering was comfortable there, and it was the elf's primary source of business. She should be happy her old friend was doing so well, even if it was dealing with the paladin order here.
Even if they are as annoying as the demons, in their own way.
She drew eyes from the various elves in the city as she made her way towards the chapel, something that didn't surprise her overmuch. The fact that a Vanadian had come to visit was a rare thing outside of their capital, and she knew that most would be talking about it for weeks to come. Few would forget her, and she supposed that was as it should be. It was the best way to look at it, as the consequences were unavoidable.
Soon, she reached the small chapel that housed Felwithe's paladin order. It stood on the top of a hill, and it was only small due to the fact that it was dwarfed by a number of buildings around it. Back home, the chapel would have been halfway to a cathedral, and definitely something worth bragging about. She wondered why Offering hadn't mentioned the size in their bits of correspondence.
Shrugging it off, the feline walked to the front door and knocked.
"Who bids for entrance to the chapel?"
"A friend seeking a friend."
"Is there one within to vouch for you?"
"One. Offering is the one I came to see."
"Please wait."
The sound of retreating footsteps was all that was left to her as the door remained closed. Nexii sighed, turning to look out at the falling snow that drifted over the city. It was large, but not as large as Vanadia City. And certainly not as enclosed, or isolated. It felt far too...foreign.
In a few minutes, the door opened, and the snow leopard stepped inside. The soft light of torches was all that remained after the door was closed, and it took a little willpower to not reach back to her crossbow out of habit. One of the armored sisters of the paladins came to her.
"Offering is in her chambers. I will take you there."
"Lead on."
The Vanadian fell into step behind the elf, finding her eyes drifting down just a bit as the armored female led her on. While most of it was a form of plate, there were areas where the armor was a bit thinner, and Nexii purred softly at the sight of the metal hugging the elf's hips. They were rather lovely.
"A happy thought, Vanadian?"
Nexii cleared her throat.
"Merely a thought of home."
"I hear it is -"
"You hear little in facts."
Her cutting interruption brought the conversation - what little there was - to a screeching halt. The sound of their footsteps was the only thing to be heard - one with leather boots, the other with clanking metal - as they made their way to the far end of the chapel.
Despite her stony facade, Nexii's face lit up as Offering opened the door. The pale skinned elf woman ran out with her furs streaming over her arms, and the snow leopard smiled as they embraced. She did, however, also blush at the feeling of the fur rubbing against her arms, letting out a deep sigh.
Coughing to cover it, she pulled her head back and rubbed her nose, as if clearing it of something.
"It's good to see you, Offering."
"And you, dear Nexii. It's been far too long."
"I suppose it has."
"May I offer you my hospitality?"
"Always offering, aren't you?"
"It's my name, dear. Will you accept it?"
"Of course."
The paladin walked away, though to Nexii's annoyance, there were another four of the females inside of Offering's room. The feline looked at them coldly for a moment before turning to her friend.
"Do you offer your hospitality to everyone?"
"Name, Nexii."
"I know, but -"
"And besides, they are good friends, just like you. Please, sit. Let me get us some tea. I daresay that you could use the warmth as much as I."
Waving the elf off, Nexii took a seat beside one of the other elves. They all wore furs, just like her friend, and all wore them in a way that looked carefree, draped over arms and over legs in arrangements so casual that they had to be planned. Nexii shuddered every time one of them shifted. In such close quarters, the warm fur rubbed her every time, and she had to struggle to hide her body's enjoyment of the feeling.
She was grateful when Offering returned with the tea, taking it and sipping it eagerly.
"Thank you."
"No problem at all. So, I assume you're here to talk trade, like we discussed in our letters?"
"Yes. You see, back home -"
"Oh!" One of the other elves spoke up. "Is it true that you all have no homes in Vanadia City?"
"What? No, that's -"
"And don't you keep changing homes and partners, what with your feline nature and all?"
"That's just -"
"I heard that the cats up there live in dens, and have orgies every night, and that's why they don't want people seeing their place. Out of shame."
Nexii's face was bright red by then, but out of embarrassment rather than anger. While there was....some truth to their statements, it wasn't so drastic as they were making it out to be. It was only a few of the Vanadians that had left their homeland making this name for the whole species, making them all seem promiscuous and obsessed with bedding others. Just because they liked to cuddle didn't mean that they were...like that.
She looked to Offering for aid, but her friend looked as inquisitive as all the other elves. The snow leopard groaned.
"I just came here to trade."
"Perhaps I can offer a discount, if you answer their questions."
"You can't be serious."
"I'm sure you can use it, dear. Now, what was that about changing partners and orgies?"
She swore her face was going to light on fire. Rubbing her cheeks, the feline shrugged.
"We are...more social than wild cats, yes. We enjoy the warmth of each other during the night, considering it's so cold in my homeland. So, yes, if someone is alone, we often join them for the night."
"Scandalous!"
"It's not -"
"Fur against fur? It sounds so...wild."
Fur against fur. Yes, like the fur that was brushing her legs and arms even now. Nexii pushed her legs together, trying to hide her reaction as she cleared her throat.
"There's more body heat to be gained in the fur with one another than with clothing between us. There's -"
"Naked? My goodness, Nexii, I never took you for such a harlot. I imagine you must have slept with half a dozen others by now."
"I - well -"
"More?!"
"..."
"How many?"
"...I don't know. I stopped counting."
The elves stared at her like she was something completely alien to them. It wasn't that strange back at home, but here, Nexii was starting to feel shame...embarrassment...and more than a little arousal from all the close quarters.
Offering only made it worse, leaning forward and allowing Nexii a look down her shirt.
"So, does that mean you can sleep around as much as you want?"
"Why would you even -"
"Would you sleep with us?"
Nexii's eyes went wide at the offer. She looked around, and saw the same mix of curiosity and warmth and bit of lust in the eyes of all the other elves. The Vanadian blushed, leaning back, but the wall of fur and flesh followed her.
"Why would -"
"I've always been curious about being with a...with a Vanadian."
"Me too."
"And I as well."
Nexii looked back and forth between them, and as the fur pressed against her again, she groaned. She had to give in.
"This better be worth a huge discount."
"I offer a 40% one."
"Done."
The End
