The Ultimate Breakthrough-2
I woke up and let out a little yawn. Sitting right next to me was Maria, who seemed to be talking to Emily. I looked to my other side to find Jack feasting on a cooked fish, with Dracko putting out the flames. He noticed that I woke up and got something from beside him."Hungry?" He asked while holding a cooked fish in his paw. I took his offer, and bit into it. It didn't taste like a four star cuisine, but it was acceptable, with the draw backs being the scales that I forgot to remove. I gobbled up the fish once I got past the organs, and buried the bones. Dracko held out his paw towards me. "I didn't get to properly introduce myself before, but I'm Dracko. Alchemist of the Conquest Army. Leader of the Warp Squad."I shook his paw." I'm Junior, its nice to meet you." Then Maria shook his paw. "I'm Maria, its a pleasure to know a guy with adorable ears.""Okay,these are my friends Emily, princess of the realm. And Jack, scout of the Warp Squad." They both gave their "hellos" and gave the spot light back to Dracko. "Since I have taken it upon myself to bring you two along, I will personally add you two to the Warp Squad. Once we get back to our home country, I will allow you two to stay in my personal quarters free of charge. From there on, I will guide you along to become suitable members of the Warp Squad. Do you understand?" Me and Maria nodded our heads in agreement. "Good, now lets go, there's a warp zone not too far from here. If we can get there within the day, I'll reward the both of you." Maria took this thought as a chance to pet his ears, and as I watched her fantasize about that, the large salamander began to reach for something in his pocket. Without a word, he pulled out a small little jewel that gleamed in the light. To me and Maria, it instantly caught our attention, while Jack and Emily saw it as a common. With the visual encouragement, me and Maria began to hurry through the forest that seemed like a sea of trees. I decided to use this somewhat dead time to think about what their world was like. How it was structured, and how its landscape was. And with a quick glance to my sister, I could see a determined look on her face. I've never seen her really want something and travel great distances for it.As we began to near a clearing, Dracko signaled us to stop. His ears perked up, and he began to look in many directions. As if spotting something abnormal, he grabbed me and Maria, and hid us behind a large rock. Jack and Emily noticed the abnormality as well, and hid themselves into the trees. Dracko put one finger over his mouth, making the "be quiet" gesture. Me and Maria silently complied as he began to disguise himself into the vast number of trees. As if on cue, I began to feel chills run through me. The same kind of chills when you see a ghost. It was making me uncomfortable. I looked into the dense trees to try and find Dracko, but instead, I saw something
that made me really question my insanity. It was a woman that looked as though she was a prisoner. It was that woman with the cyan blue hair. She seemed to have spotted me, and slowly walked over to me like she was in pain. She got close enough to the point where I could easily make her out. Her eyes dropping tears, she made eye contact with me. Her lips began to move, but I couldn't believe my ears. Her voice was beautiful, like I was listening to an angel. "I have seen you before, and I liked seeing that face. As many generations past, I missed that face, and longed for him to return. Now that you are back, we need to meet again, all three of us."Her voice stopped, and she turned around, walking back into the forest. And soon she vanished, unable to be seen. I felt a loud thump hit the rock we were hiding behind, snapping me out of my dreamy state. Maria hugged onto my arm in fear. On the ground, I saw a fairly large shadow cast over us. I looked behind me, trying to see the source of this shadow, only for my eyes to meet a masked creature. It found us as well, and let out a loud screech that I've never heard before. More masked creatures appeared from out of the thick forest, and ran quickly to its caller. Eventually, five creatures quickly surrounded me and Maria. They were like feral beasts hunting for its prey. One of them pounced toward us, only to be knocked backwards onto the ground by an invisible force. Dracko dived onto the creature, and placed his palm onto its chest. An odd electrical current ran from him into the monster, making sure it stayed on the ground. Using the distraction as an opening, Jack slammed into one monster with brute force, and released a dark energy onto it. Emily lept out of the trees, and created a sword from thin air. She thrust her blade into the creatures chest, and swung left, turning the remainder of the monster into a mist. It let out a dying cry, making the final two monsters run away in fear, back into the woods from whence it came. Me and Maria stood there, amazed at how good their teamwork and skill was."I'm glad you two didn't get hurt, but something still boggles my mind. How did that masked individual get knocked back?" Dracko questioned."Heh, yet you claim to be the smartest in the realm. Maria here has the ability to manipulate her own aura." Jack answered."I can? But, I've never done that kinda stuff in my entire life.""Hmmm... So it would appear that Marias human state has kept this ability dormant, but now that she is a fur, she is able to access this special ability.""So I have super powers now? Cool!" Maria gave herself a little cheer and dance, congratulating herself for her newfound ability. "Looks like I got someone to follow me on the path to greatness. Listen to me Maria, I also can control my own aura, and if you're up to it, I can teach you how to control it.""Wow, thanks Jack!" Maria lunged at the wolf giving him a tight hug. "You're the best!" While I watched them in their own world, Dracko held out his paw towards me. I found myself still on the ground from the attack, and took his paw where he helped me on my feet. "Are you alright, because from that skirmish, it seems like you've become a little quiet and distant....and you can let go of my paw now.""Oh, sorry. I didn't realize I was still holding on...But, I have a question to ask. Why is there a Warp Squad in the first place?""Taur founded the squad to find another place to harvest resources and collect information on. He hopes that this place can serve as a safe haven for villages that have suffered from the war. But you still didn't answer my question though.""Oh, yeah. I'm okay, no damage done. Except, there was someone that was trying to tell me something. She said that she knew me from before. And her hair was cyan. But she walked away into the forest be-"Dracko gently, but forcefully closed my mouth. His eyes were slightly filled with anger, but he hid away that feeling."Do not speak of that cursed woman in front of me..."He let go of me, and began to walk and lead us to the warp zone. Why did his generous mood suddenly shift into that grudge? What was he hiding? I looked back into the woods before we exited the large clearing, and standing beside a tree was that mysterious woman.
