Chapter 2 The Bus It's been an hour since they have been driving away from the district. Still not close to the other district. Red was still looking down and getting kind of sleepy. There were a few kids behind her. They seemed to older then her, they seemed to be 16 or 17 years old. They were both girls. One of them was chubby and she had red hair with a long sleeved red shirt and black pants. "You think we could get there in time?" One of them said. "I don't know but parents were left back there and were killed." The slim one cried. She wore tight jeans and leather jacket with a black shirt.

Red can hear they're conversation. It was getting dark and they must of have took the long way to the place they were going. They got to some city but all the buildings were torn and some were just in a wreck. They didn't see anything out there yet though, Soon Red hears a loud thump underneath the bus. Everyone seemed to have heard it. "What was that?" A guy said. Suddenly the bus was going through swirls.

"Everybody hold on!" the guard shouted. The bus suddenly tipped over and got into a crash. Some people fell from the side of the story to the other. But Red didn't she had a seat belt on. Most of the people did also. They fell hard though. Suddenly they hear something outside roaring. Red was trying to unbuckle her seatbelt before something comes. Everyone was trying to get out and Red finally unbuckled and fell from her seat hard and got up. A man was trying to open the door that was in the back of the bus but it was jammed.

Red came over to try and help but she saw a sledgehammer, picked it up. "Is that sledgehammer?" the man said. "Yeah." Red answered. "Let me see it!" the man said. Red gave him the sledgehammer and he was prepared to hit the window. "Everybody stay back!" he shouted and hit the window and break through the window.

The two got out safe and the creatures came through the windows on the top of the bus and killed the rest of the people including the girls. They all got sliced and stabbed and one of them was dragged out but Red and the man were running off down the street away from the bus. The creatures threw molotovs at the bus catching it on fire. The bus blew up soon after that. The creatures saw Red and the man that was with her. They both were running away from them as fast as they could and one of them had a rifle and they shot the man in the leg and he fell down. Red gasped and was trying to help the man. "No go without me, you need to find a way to get to the other district!" He said. "But I can't..." Red said and trying to help him. "Go!" The man begged and Red looked down and ran off, getting away from the creatures.

The creatures dragged the man and they started to fed on him. Red tries to hide and the creatures were trying to kill her. Suddenly a dark figure comes off the buildings and lands in front of the creatures. The creatures stopped and looked at him. He stood up looking the creatures. A growl comes from the dark figure and he has a smirk on his face and he wielded out a sword and sliced up the creatures head really fast in five seconds. The light from the fire from the bus showed some of him, his face didn't show but he had on a black trench jacket and gray jeans and a... curled up fluffy tail? He looked at Red and grabbed her and carried her and ran away from the bus that was about to explode. He was really fast and suddenly he jumped but really high! Off the ground and up to the air and landed again and jumped again on top of a tall building that was a rooftop. He put down Red. It was too dark to see his face.

"Are you okay?" He said. Red was just so shocked and couldn't speak. He smirks and walks around her and he lights up a match and throws it in a fire pit chimney and the fire light shined on his face. He had a face of a wolf with gray fur, on his head he grows the same hair as a human but was really long and covered his left eye and his eye color was blue. Red was about to scream but he covered her mouth and his hand was a human like wolf paw with wolf pads and his fingers had claws like a wolf does. "I'm not going to hurt you know." He said. Red slowly calms down. "What's your name...?" Red wondered.

He smirks. "Sultra." He smiled. "Well um... Sultra I need to get somewhere I can't stay here." Red said.

"I wouldn't go out there if I were you though right now." Sultra said. "Wait but... why?" She wondered.

"Okay how old are you and you must of stayed in one of those districts right?" Sultra questioned.

"Well... yes, the one I lived in was invaded by those 'things'." she said. "They are called fiends, another word for demon I shall say, some are very wild at night and are difficult to kill at night so might want to stay with me for the night till it's morning." Sultra explained. "Well okay then." Red said. His got out his long sword.

His sword had a really sharp blade and it was 10 inches wide and was 7 feet long. The handle was 12 inches long for him to handle. It seems so heavy for him how can he handle that? He walked to a rooftop door and opened the door and walked down the stairs, Red followed him then he looked at her.

"I have a lot of weapons down here but I'm just getting food, so watch out there's sharp blades down here." He told her. "I'll be alright." Red said.

They both walked down and Sultra took off his jacket and he has on a white undershirt on and put his sword away. Red can see he just has gray fur all over him but with clothes on.

"What are you...?" Red questioned. He looked at her and he shrugged. "Don't know, from what people told me I'm supposed to be some wolf anthropomorphic creature." Sultra tries to explain but not much information and walks up to the fridge and opening it.

"Well... I thought maybe your some kind of werewolf..." Red said. "No, I'm not exactly a werewolf, hard to explain what I am really." He laughed and brought out glass of bottles and tossed a bottle to Red and she caught it.

"What's this?" She puzzled. "Ugh do you not know what soda is?" Sultra sighed. "Um, no?" Red said. "Oh yeah I'm talking to a 10 year old, well soda was really popular back in 50 years and before that, but this is my homemade soda, not sure you would like it though." He said and got out a bag and a pot, pouring water in the sink in the pot and letting it boil and walks to an old flat screen TV.

Of course Red has never seen a TV in her life in the district. Sultra was whistling a strange song and opened a closet that was near the TV, there were old movies and TV shows that were from 50 years ago. Pulling out a CD case and it said "Looney Tunes!" for the title and putting the CD in a device then turned on the TV and showed perfect picture. He went back to cook something and Red sat on a sofa that was in front of the TV. "What am I looking at?" She asked. "It's called TV." Sultra said and has two bowls and turned out to be Mac and cheese. He gave her a bowl and sat on the floor with one leg straight and a ankle up and was eating starts chuckling a little at the TV, a gray bunny eating a carrot and saying "eh, what's up doc?" the bunny said in the TV. "What's up doc?" Red thought. Sultra got done eating and put away his bowl and washed it some and comes back and opened his soda to drink some. "I see you only ate half your Mac and cheese, something bothering you?" Sultra said. "I... I'm just not used to eating by someone-. "Different?" He interrupted and frowned a little. "Yup you weren't the only one like that." He said and finished his drink and threw it away. "Look Sultra, I can't stay here, I have to go and look for my family in one of the districts." Red was telling him. "Do you know exactly which district?" Sultra asked. "I... don't know exactly remember we were heading north from my district." Red said. "Okay well you're going to need weapons, but it's too much hell for you to handle so you might need me." Sultra said. "Where you going?" Red asked. "I need some sleep, you will probably need sleep also. " Sultra said trying to make a point. "What about the fiends out there?" Red worried. "Don't worry about that, they can't come in here, the place is way too secured, and tomorrow I'm going to help you get home." Sultra said and was giving her pillows and blankets on the couch and left the room to go to bed, Red looked at the TV again and seeing the bunny blowing up dynamites in a pirate ship. She looks down a little and giggles about the show. She lied down on the sofa and tries to get comfortable taking her shoes off and went to sleep.
