A day at the beach
Well, a little story with my new Char Cézar!
"Today, the weather will be warm and sunny, only a few-" The weather outlook announcer was shut as the TV was turned off. Cézar, the owner of this tiny shack, which was called "The Boat Rental" even though he let surfboards, too, was sitting on his chair... Well, more like "hanging" in there. Since he rested one of his sandy feet on the table; right next to the TV.
It was one of those boring days. Not even that he was the orca, who was responsible for The Boat Rental, no. He was the attendant of the beach right in front of it.
After his father had died, he had to manage it, but every day happened the same things! Nothing! It was totally boring to sit all day in there and talk to people you'd normally despise!
He raised his sun-glasses and looked into the sky. Just as predicted. Not a single trace of a cloud. But the air was funnily sweltering. Thinking of nothing bad, he put back on his sun-glasses and closed his eyes to enjoy the warmth of the sun on his thick, black skin. It was calm there, there weren't many visitors today so nobody would disturb him; well, at least not very often!
Things became too quiet, as he started to doze off. About twenty minutes later, he was woken by nobody but the storm. As he heard it, he was immediately taken away from his dreams about chocolate.
Indeed, a storm was approaching from the ocean. He took off his sun-glasses, stepped outside the shak and blew into his whistle. "Everyone OUT now!" he yelled over to the few guests who hadn't noticed the storm yet. The storm approached with high speed and Cézar watched over the evacuation of the beach.
In the meantime, a small wolf girl was just walking upon the rocky coast. She was humming a jingle as she didn't even notice the storm coming. The reason, why didn't was the big red ball in her paws. She really loved his ball.
Just a few seconds after, she was hit by the wind and she was carried off; down the coast into the raging floods.
A woman was screaming from the beach: "A CHILD FELL INTO THE WATER!"
Cézar heard it and grabbed his binoculars to see. Indeed, the little wolf was fighting with the floods without much of a success.
Orca knew what to do and immediately grabbed one of the life-savers, put away his necklace and his bracelet and rushed into the raging water. Even for an Orca, it was quite difficult to fight themselves forward.
His adrenaline level rose as he used all of his muscles to fight. Fighting for every inch into the raging waters.
The wolf was trying to keep herself from getting her head underwater, without knowing that help was on its way.
As he finally reached the little girl, it was in the very last moment.
But suddenly, some kind of plastic trash hit him on his belly and made a scratch-mark from there up to his chest over his left cheek.
It started to bleed a little, as he finally grabbed the wolf and pulled her up on one of the rocks, where he was holding on. Even though they were wet, he found a good grip on them, for their both luck. He now had two options. Either, he waited for help or the storm to calm down OR he could try to make his luck back to the shores.
Of course, he waited for the storm to calm, the wolf was unconscious in his arm.
Just as fast as the storm came in, it vanished, well, in Cézar's eyes, it took like half of his lifetime.
Some guys came with a boat over and took them both back to the beach. Cézar still held her in his arms and looked into her face.
She was slowly waking up as they were halfway back. After ein fully awaken, she realized what happened... And gave her saver with her paw's claws a deep scratch on the same.
"WHY DID YOU NOT SAVE MY BALL?!" she yelled at Cézar, as she coughed up some water. "But I just saved you, little one!" he said to her. "DON'T CALL ME LITTLE ONE!"
"Call me Erika!"
