Chapter 17

Storm Warning

I spied the big ursine Bouncer the minute I walked in the door, surveying the crowd for trouble. "Yo Bruno!" I called to get the grizzly's attention.

"Hey! It's da big Ha'Coona!" Bruno replied in his rich baritone voice. "Wazzzup?"

"Well, two related things, One; I've got something for you and I've got some news to deliver..."

"Good news, or bad news?" The bouncer asked suspiciously.

"Well, that depends upon how you take it, I guess." I said with a grin.

"Okay...what's 'da news?" He said crossing his arms over his broad chest.

"I have been asked to convey a message to you...Kacy is back in town; and she told me that she wants another Run at cha."

"No Kiddin'?" The big bear grinned.

"Yup, she said you'd need this..." I tossed him the bottle of Vitamin E.

Bruno gave me a look somewhere between shock and delight. I thought that poor guy is doomed... then I began making my way to the kitchen. There I found the three furs I needed to talk to.

"Ah, Just the furs I was looking for..."

"Yo! Mix Master!" Ted called back.

"Big Ha'Coona dude!" Bill added, Max just rolled his eyes.

"Evening Rick, what can I do for you?"

"I bring you a message, so don't kill the messenger, okay?" I grinned.

"Kacy's in Town--"

"NO WAY!" Bill and Ted shouted in unison, causing Max to flinch.

"Yup, and she wants to drop by on Saturday, around ten a.m. is that good for you folks?"

"Awesome! The mistress of munchies will be in the house!" Ted exclaimed.

"Boys, Enough!" Max growled at his sons.

"...Yes sir." they said meekly. "You were saying Rick?"

"She wants to check on their progress and bounce a few ideas off them, I think she also wants to discuss a few things with you as well, Max. Is ten a.m. okay with you?" The badger nodded.

"Sure, we generally get here around nine in the morning to start the set up for Saturday night, so ten should be fine. Please let her know I'm looking forward to seeing her again."

"Sure thing Max...thanks." I went out to punch in for my shift...

Bruno grinned to himself as he surveyed the crowd. "Cool, KC's back in town and she wants to see Me! Dis is gonna be fun." he thought.
