A dragon goes hunting for some lunch, only to end up as a quick snack himself!

Commission for Flamedrake and featuring Jesad

There was something about hunger. It made you do things you would not always consider doing. You might start hunting things you would not normally think of hunting, delving into new territories to find that perfect meal to quench the insatiable rumblings of the stomach. So thought Flamedrake as the diminutive dragon hopped from branch to branch, seeking out the illusive breakfast his body craved. His red scales and white underbody actually blended in fairly well with the autumnal leaves of the forest, but every now and then he kept glancing back, sure there was something stalking and tracking him.

The forest was silent and still behind the little dragon. Nothing to fear but nothing to hunt either. The only way was onwards, further into the unknown. Spreading his small wings, the dragon glided down to the forest floor, his paws crunching on the leaves as he landed. He grinned as he picked up on some sort of scent, close by. It was sweet and alluring, calling him on. Food!

Bounding on without caring too much about how much noise he made, Flamedrake could only think about how he was going to fill his belly with whatever prey was out there. The aroma was tantalising, a delicious lunch was just a few minutes away, he knew.

The miniature dragon froze when he heard the first loud crunching of leaves. Something big and heavy was coming his way. The first moment of doubt flickered across his mind, fearing some kind of trap. Maybe this prey was a lot bigger than he had initially considered. He glanced back, thinking that a tactical retreat might be in order. Before he was able to enact on this thought, his former prey emerged from the shadows between two trees.

Flamedrake gulped at the sight of the large mammal, a black and white canine that wasn't quite a wolf, more than a little husky traits thrown in and a purple tuft of fur on his head for good measure. The dragon took in these features in just a moment, also noting that he didn't even reach the wusky's knees as he stood. Definitely time to flee.

Flamedrake spun on his heels, attempting to outpace the wusky, but only making it a few paces before the mammal trod down on his tail. The dragon squeaked and fell to the floor, unable to free himself from the wusky's foot. As much as he struggled and squirmed, the grip on his tail got tighter and harder, before a heavy hand pushed down on his back.

“Well what do we have here?" the wusky murmured, more to himself than the dragon. He had been waiting for something all day, hoping something took the bait and now here was the perfect little thing. The squirming dragon beneath his foot would satisfy his needs greatly. He grinned widely, a predatory gleam in his eye as he looked down at the hunter-turned prey beneath him.

“This is Jesad's territory dragon," the wusky growled, holding the dragon down into the dry leaves. “And do you know who Jesad is?"

The dragon shook his head, terror filling him as he rolled his head back to see that wolfish grin. He knew he had made a mistake in coming here. His eyes darted around, trying to find some opportunity to escape, but the canine's grip was too strong.

The wusky barked in laughter. “I am Jesad. This is my territory, and anything in it is either a mate, food, or a threat. Which are you to be?"

Flamedrake squeaked again, wriggling his hips in a desperate attempt to free himself, but to no avail at all. Jesad had him pinned tightly to the ground. He could feel the wusky's hot breath on his back as the canine leaned down, both hands wrapping around the little red's body and lifting him up with ease.

Unable to resist the larger and stronger canine, Flamedrake felt himself get turned around to stare into the wide blue eyes of the wusky. He gulped and shivered, afraid of the fierce glare. He had wanted to find some lunch, not be it!

Slowly, Jesad extended his tongue and dragged it along the dragon's underbelly and chin, leaving behind a thin layer of saliva. The wusky then licked his lips, a wide grin on his muzzle. “Always loved the taste of dragon," he said, making the dragon shudder, limbs hanging loosely as his tail thrashed back and forth.

When Jesad licked him again, Flamedrake squirmed, though none of his claws able to find any purchase on Jesad's arms and hands. The wusky's grip was simply too strong. His movements were suddenly stilled as Jesad moved the dragon up to his muzzle, slipping his red-scaled head into his open maw.

Closing his eyes and squeaking, Flamedrake was able to press his hands against Jesad's nose, for the moment preventing any more of his body slipping into the wet maw. He closed his eyes, breathing heavily as the smell of the canine's breath overwhelmed his senses. The thick tongue pressed against his face, licking his horned head several times, even attempting to tease open his muzzle, which the dragon was just about able to resist.

Jesad's tongue soon gave up trying to pry open the dragon's mouth, instead slipping under the prey's scaled body and pushing it up. Flamedrake grimaced, growling and occasionally snapping out at the probing tongue, never able to get any meaningful purchase on it. Any time his teeth so much as grazed the slobbering muscle he was treated to a firm squeeze around his belly from the wusky's hands.

With a forceful gentleness, Jesad removed Flamedrake's hands from his muzzle, teasing the dragon's body in to his maw, until just the dragon's kicking legs remained beyond his lips. He could feel the dragon struggling in his wet mouth, squirming and wriggling like any prey should. The wusky wanted to savour this taste, to feel the warmth and panic of the dragon as he tried to escape.

Jesad suckled on his helpless prey for a little longer, completely coating his body in his saliva. Flamedrake could smell nothing now but a scent that was vaguely akin to wet dog, his nose assaulted by the wusky's hot breath. When he opened his eyes he could see little but red flesh, lit from the partially open maw around his hindquarters, the canine's tongue raising him up and towards the pitch darkness of the back of his throat.

Slowly the dragon was pushed back, his muzzle pressing against the fleshy roof of the canine's mouth. He could feel Jesad sucking on his tail like a straw as his feet were finally pulled in to the moist darkness, rubbing against the back of the sharp teeth lining the maw. He briefly thought about kicking out at those ivory spears, but with his tail still sticking out the wusky's mouth, he reconsidered.

Flamedrake squirmed as the thick tongue moved beneath him, pushing him ever closer to the wusky's throat even as the tip of his tail was sucked inside. The dragon whimpered, a hot blast of air rushing into his face as Jesad exhaled. He gagged and choked, the smell of the wusky's gullet not exactly enticing the red-scaled dragon.

He could feel the tongue wrapping around his body, the slimy wetness feeling like it was seeping through his scales, so much so that he thought that even if he escaped he'd never again feel properly dry again. The last of the light faded as the wusky closed him mouth completely, leaving the dragon engulfed in the damp and warm darkness.

The dragon's head was pushed down into the tight throat first, the tip of the tongue on his rear pressing him into the inky darkness. The hot and slick walls of the wusky's throat pressed against his head, pulsing slightly as he was edged ever on and down. No matter how hard he tried to resist, the dragon couldn't find any purchase to pull his head back up again. If anything, his struggles only made him slip further.

Jesad's throat bulged out as the dragon's shoulders were squeezed down, forced back by his tongue and the slow undulating of his throat walls. His saliva kept the dragon moving, unable to find any purchase on the moist inner lining of the canine, helpless but to go along with the wusky's swallowing, each great gulp sending a little more of his body over the edge and into the constricting throat.

Flamedrake felt his wings pinned tight against his body now as he began to slide a little faster, arms and legs forced to his sides as he moved inexorably towards the wusky's stomach. Every gasping breath was hard to come by, what little air he could find warm and stale, doing little for his aching lungs. He didn't know how much longer he had, his tail desperately trying to wrap around the canine's tongue. For just a moment he was able to halt his movement, throat constricting to no effect against his side. He even felt a discomforted grunt emerge from the wusky's lungs, but Jesad reached into his mouth with his fingers and detached the dragon's tail, giving his rump a little push for good measure.

That little push was all it took to unbalance the dragon, giving him that final squeeze through the tight throat. He yelped quietly as he fell down into the waiting stomach, splashing in a mixture of saliva and warm juices. He wriggled against the stomach lining, limbs flailing a little, completely blind in the perfect darkness. His thoughts started to become faded and vague, his movements slowing. He almost felt like a little nap.

Maybe then he'd be able to get his lunch.

Lunch sounded very good indeed.

The dragon closed his eyes and smiled.

Jesad rubbed his belly and grinned, feeling the slight bulge where the dragon now lay, the taste of his scales still strong on his tongue. He licked his lips and sighed, leaning back against one of the trees and sliding down to the ground. The dragon had been quite a treat, but he couldn't help but wonder what might have made it even better.

“A bit of cinnamon next time perhaps," he grinned to himself, tail wagging. He made a quick mental note to find some before he returned to this part of the woods. There were always more dragons to find after all.

Hauling himself back up to his feet, Jesad held his hand over his full belly again, smirking as he thought of the little dragon within. Slowly strolling away, the wusky idly wondered what he could find to wash the dragon down with, a little dessert to go with the delicious main meal. Hunger was a wonderful thing, he thought. It led to all kinds of wonderful treats.

His stomach sated for now, the apex predator disappeared back into the trees, already planning his next trap for an unwitting prey to stumble in to. Until his hunger returned once more.
