Halloween tragedy - Short story

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE, I JUST GOT BACK FROM A 2 WEEK TRIP WITH MY FRIENDS AND IM NOW BACK READY TO START MAKING STORYS AGAIN (and working again -.-) , SORRY IV BEEN AWAY SO LONG D:

It was seven O'clock, I watched outside my window as the day gave way to night and I wont lie
im fucking terrified
well I mean we all know Halloween is about spooky ass shit happening but have you ever been around sergals at Halloween?
yeah...me neither
I sighed as I looked down outside, "people" were coming for a small party my brother and, friends I guess I could call them? decided to have to celebrate Halloween, I was gonna dress up but I decided today would be a good time to work on my bike to avoid all the chaos that im sure was about to happen.
but to make matters worse, earlier today when I woke up I was on the computer and since the internet sinks up to where my current location is, with the help of the all mighty google I found out that Halloween isn't actually called Halloween here, its called the devouring of the first hunt

I walked over to the door and put my hood up, it was time to get sneaky, I had a black hoody specially equipped for this moment
the door creaked open, because of course I had to have the noisiest door out of everyone in the house, my luck is just amazing, as the door opened I slowly walked out and closed it behind me, but holy hell the house was dark, I could barely see the pictures on the walls, and it felt eary as fuck
as I put my hand on the wall to guide where I was going the hair on my neck stood up as I heard voices from down stairs, I hid myself in my room for the whole day since I was working on some "important" gaming, so to be out of my lair of filled with dr.pepper, chips and my lovely computer was already bad but the knowledge of someone coming up to make me come downstairs was even worse, but what freaked me out he most?, there was barely any noise, just voices that I didn't recognize
I neared the edge of the stairs and peaked down, and It felt like my eyes were gonna blast out of my head, I guess ever since Halloween became kind of mixed into the sergal culture they got to dressing up to
james was dressed as han solo from star wars which was pretty awesome I must admit, Cherry was dressed up as what looked like a nurse with what I hope was fake blood on her gown, Kelly was something I didn't recognize, probably a sergal movie I haven't seen, Rev was dressed in a dark cloak like a wizard I guess?, then emma and Emily were dressed like the stereotypical "high school cheer leaders" in skimpy outfits, which didn't surprise me at all but, what really freaked me out, was the other sergals I have never seen before
the first two was a big blue female, wearing a witch hat, the white male sergal sitting beside her just wearing some regular clothes
the next was a bright red female who did not look happy to be there what so ever and was wearing a chef hat
and to my terror james looked at me, which was quickly followed up by me giving a few hand signals basically translating to "please dont..."
"what the fuck are you waving your hands around at me for?" oooooohhhhhh my god...
as eyes bobbed over to me I gave my equivalent of the death glare to james, I swear he is either a fucking idiot or just the biggest asshole on the planet
"well, are you gonna come down or just stand there?"
fuck..
"OH, another human?" the big blue sergal eye'd me as I walked down
"ooooohhh is this the special friend you were talking about sis?" I watched the red sergal nudge cherry on the side and her blush ins response
what the hell? cherry had a sister?
"yeah, did you think I was joking?"
the familiar feeling of social anxiety came over me with the addition of cherrys sister? and whoever the hell the other two were
"mom.. his name is layne, and why are you so surprised?" Emiley crossed her arms, first time I ever seen her looking kind of pissed off even though it was hard to take her seriously with the cheerleader outfit on
"well you two had a bit of an appetite for them when you were little and I thought james was just the one special case" the big blue sergal gave almost a proud looking smile with the addition of a unhappy almost nervous look from the white sergal sitting beside her
I could feel the colour pour out of my face and even james went pale out of the corner of my eye, within five seconds I learned some sketchy shit and that the two new sergals were emma and emileys parents
"MOM!" both Emily and emma shouted in unison
of course rev and Kelly sat there trying to keep as far away from the chaos that had now just started, both giving me a look of sympathy
"UHHHH alright so, yeah this is my brother layne, layne, these are Emma and emiley's parents, Terren and Mia, and the red one is Cherrys sister ithani"
"uh, hey.." why am I such an awkward human being?
ithani looked like she was disecting me with her eyes while terren and mia just kinda of gave me a friendly smile
"glad to see you finally came of your hiding place"
"uhhhhh its not a hiding place thank you very much its a lair" Cherry i think was the only one that chuckled at my failure of a joke but.. but i mean considering im her mate? or somthing like that i dont think that even counts.
"so, considering we did it with james last year i think its time we show you a tradition of ours, we were gonna go get you but this makes it a bit easyer" i stared at emileys toothy grin and just kind i felt the "something bad is gonna happen feeling"
"uh..alright?"
in a flash of red fur cherrys sister was behind me with her hands on my shoulders which made me scrunch up a bit
"so how this is gonna work is we are basically gonna hunt you, so you have a 30 minute head start which starts right now"
I felt a cold chill course through my body as I stood in silence
"id suggest you start going, lots of people here so it'll be pretty quick if your not settled into a hiding spot"
my brain snapped to it and I booked it out into the back yard, I kicked the back fence open and started running into the forest, im not getting caught, fuck that
I ran down the trails and I will admit, im not in the best shape for running my legs are already going numb and I can feel beads of sweat running down my forehead, and before I knew it, A RANDOM ROOT APPEARS, I felt my foot catch under the big root and all of a sudden, my face went to ground and I felt sticks and rocks scratch up my arms
I don't know how long I was on the ground but I felt blood on my forehead and my leg kind of hurt way more then I thought it would
"ah fuck that hurts" I got up and looked over myself, tear in my new pants (oh great..) blood going through my sleeve probably caused by falling on a nice sharp stick and blood on my forehead from gravity deciding to ruin my night even more
but at this point I don't care, I gotta hide.
I ran down the path farther and found what seemed like a fallen log and well, it looked better then nothing so I dove into the hollowed out log and pulled some fallen leaves around the entrance to try and be a little bit more camoflauged, id like to put too that as a kid iw as fucking terrible at hide and seek so...this will probably go bad..
"holy fuck where are they?" I looked at my phone and it had almost been 40 minutes, I turned off my phone and put it back in my pocket because knowing my luck they'd see the light and id be screwed
and then out of nowhere the sounds I didn't wanna hear decided to pop up, I heard the sound of rustling and sniffling
"hmmmm, I smell ya little guy now where are you?" by the voice I already knew it was Cherry's sister, which I didn't feel to comfortable with being caught by, I didn't know anything about her so for all I know I was in legitmet danger
I heard claws scrape the top of the hollowed out log
"oh, this seems like a perfect hiding place, I wonder if maybe ill find a little treat inside"
OH OH MY GOD
I tracked the sound and heard her footsteps go to the end of the log, the end of the log that was right infront of my face
my heart thumped, It felt like it was beating in my ears and then I saw them, the two golden orbs belonging to the predator, and those orbs stuck to me like glue
"hehe, thought you'd be in here" before I could say anything I saw a flash of white teeth and it went dark..
screams rippled through the air as teeth sank into the body, it withered around in agony as she tore into the body, and with a final lurch it went dead as she sunk her massive fangs into his neck
she ripped and munched at the body in the log, tearing limbs and swallowing them whole, blood soaked the ground and the log he was in, he was the perfect prey, easy to find and filling
"im sure sis will miss you but I think she'll get over you pretty fast" the large red sergal chuckled to herself and patted her now stuffed stomach, quickly rubbing her blood soaked muzzle against her forearm to get some of it off, it was indeed a good hunt and an even better feast, he never had a chance against the perfect predator
"hahaha, well goodbye little guy, hope you had a fun time..."
and that was the end of the Red haired child, no one ever found out where he disappeared too no matter how much they searched, all they heard was the screams, and to this day the victims brother and friends still search, but he will never be found.
now remember children, don't play games with the big mean predators and if you do, make sure you hide well
because if you don't, you might end up like this poor lost soul

sorry if this kinda sucks im a bit rusty as writing right now and I just kinda wanted a short story for Halloween, only took me like 20 minutes to write so its kinda quick and sucks lol, ACTUAL part of the world expands series will be out tomorrow will be spending a while writing a longer portion that hopefully you guys will enjoy, but yeah
have a good and spooky Halloween everyone
