The next morning after Alex had saved Koren from the assult by his guards Alex had woke up to find Koren still sleeping beside him only her breathing sounded like she was sick which she porbably was given where she had been for the past week or more. Koren shfited some as Alex gently pet her head then left her to sleep longer. He got up and dressed then left the room, stopping a maid who looked at him with a curious look. "Yes my prince?" Alex looked at her and smiled faintly. "Bring some hot food to my room for Koren and some juice...Apple juice for her...make the food meats and such...make sure she eats if she is awake when you take it." The maid raised a brow and stared at him before giving a small nod. "Yes sir.." The maid turned and headed off to the ktichens while Alex moved to meet with the Doctor of the royal family. When the Doctor opened the door the elderly man blinked as he looked at Alex. "Yes my lord?" Alex smiled to him and spoke softly as he crossed his arms. "Koren is sick...I can hear it in her breathing...I want you to take her some medicines and make sure she is taken care of." The man blinked and looked somewhat confused by the prince as he spoke. "Sir? You want to...help the anthro get over a sickness? Forgive me but...isn't she just a slave?" Alex frowned and shook his head. "Not anymore...please do as I have asked." Alex didn't give the Doctor a chance to respond as he turned and headed to the throne room to do whatever work he had waiting on him.
As Alex was working in the throne room the maid he had sent for food arrived back to his chambers with a tray of cooked meats and breads as well as alrge jug of juice with a cup. The maid opened the door in time to see Koren sitting up in the bed and holding her head with a groan. The maid rolled her eyes, not wanting to deal with the feline but didn't want to be punished for not doing what she was told. The maid cleared her throat and walked over to the bed, placing the tray of food in her lap. "The prince has sent you food and juice...he wants to make sure you eat and rest." Koren stood her ears up and looked at the food before looking up to the maid, noting the angry look in the womans eyes. Koren shifted some and gave a small nod to her. "Thank you...I...will eat it. You don't have to stay...I can see it in your eyes you don't want to." The maid blinked and stared at Koren for a moment before nodding and turning to leave the room.
Koren let out a sigh after the maid had left. She lowered her ears a bit as she looked at the food in front of her. She wasn't really all that hungry but figured she better eat it or else get yelled at. She shifted and leaned back against the head board of the bed, nibbling on some bread when the Doctor came in with a small vial of purple liquid. Koren stood her ears up and looked to the old man with a confused look on her face as he made his way over to her. "The prince has ordered me to give you some medication..." Koren blinked and stared at him as she shifted some before looking to the vial. She looked back to him, looking hesitant to even take it as he pulled hte cork from it and moved in closer to her. "Open your mouth and drink it so I can go back to my own work!" Koren pushed the tray from her lap and moved to the other side of the bed, growling faintly to the Doctor as he cursed a few times. As he made his way around the bed and cornered her against the wall Alex walked into the room to check on her. "Doctor!" The old man jumped some and turned to look at Alex as Koren moved by him quickly and growled to him. Alex motioned for the Doctor to come to him and once the old man was in reach he took the vial from him. "Go back to your work.." Alex looked at the Doctor as he left with a grumble coming from him.
Alex looked over at Koren as she coughed a few times before letting out another small growl. "Crazy old coot.." Alex grinned some and closed the door behind him as he made his way over to Koren, standing in front of her as he spoke. "Koren...please take the medicine...your sick because of me." Koren stood her ears up and stared at him, a bit stunned by it all as she looked from him to the vial. "But...I don't know what it is...for all you know...it would make it all worse." Alex raised a brow and smiled some, shaking his head. "No...the old man wouldn't risk what is left of his life to poison you...but if it will get you to take it.." Alex poured the liquid in the vial into his mouth then pulled Koren close to him, making her gasp softly before he pressed his lips to hers, forcing her mouth open with his tongue making the medicine spill into her mouth. He held the kiss until he was sure she had swallowed it before pulling back. Koren blushed brightly and twitched her ears rapidly from the taste of the medicine as well as from the kiss. She shook her head some with a small cough before looking to him, "What...what the hell?" Alex chuckled and gently led her back towards the bed. "It was just something to help you breathe and fight off the sickness...might make you go to sleep for a while though...he usually slips in stuff like that so one can sleep and recover." Koren gulped a bit and followed him, slowly climbing back into the bed before downing what was left of the juice in her cup, growling a bit. "That stuff was awful." Alex laughed softly and nodded some before motioning for her to keep eating. As she done what he wanted she heard him chuckle again which made her look to him. "I hated taking that stuff as a kid...I even bit his hand once to stop him." Koren grinned a bit to him before shaking her head some and eating her fill of the food.
Sadly the medicine Alex had gotten her to take never did put her to sleep. She was walking around the bedroom wearing one of the gowns Alex had brought to the room the night before, looking around with a restless feeling. Alex watched her before getting up and moving to her, taking her hand into his and leading her out of the bedroom. Koren stood her ears up with a confused look on her face as she walked with him. "Alex...where are you taking me?" Alex looked to her and smiled but never answered her. Soon enough he led her into the large library of the castle that had a large fireplace lit to keep the room warm. Koren stood her ears up and looked around at all the books that lined the walls. "Whoa.." Alex let go of her hand and moved over to a couch that was a few feet in front of the fire, sitting down and leaning back some. "Better then being stuck in my room all day isn't it?" Koren looked to him and nodded some as she moved to sit by him only for him to hold his hand up to stop her. "Get a book first...you might find one you like." She blinked and stared at him for a moment before nodding some and moving around the library slowly, looking at the books while Alex watched her every move.
Koren returned with a book in her hands and sat beside him, looking to him with a faint smile. "I have read this one before...my dad would read it to me at night until I learned to read on my own." Alex watched her then smiled a bit more, watching her light up a bit as she mentioned her father. As she looked down to the book to open it Alex felt more guilt hitting him. He knew she wouldn't stay for good unless he made her a slave again. He honestly wasn't sure if he wanted to send her home when spring came. He shook his head some and rubbed his forehead which made Koren look to him with a curious look. "Alex?" He shifted and glanced to her before giving a small smile and gently reaching up to pet her softly a few times. "It is nothing...go ahead and read..relax." Koren stared at him for a moment before nodding some and shifting around so she was leaning into him with the book held open in her hands. Alex put his arm around her and closed his eyes, listening to her breathing as she read in silence.

"Are you fucking nuts?!" Koren looked to Alex, now standing in his room while pulling her hair into a low braid, her ears folded back against her head some. "You want me to have dinner with you in the dining hall with the nobles? Why?" Alex grinned some as he sat on the edge of his bed, watching her as she stood there with her tail curled around her legs, holding the gown against her while she locked eyes on him. "Because it would piss them off and seeing their eyes twitch with annoyance would be funny...come on don't you have nobles in your kingdom that you don't like? Don't stand there telling me you wouldn't do the same if the roles were reversed." Koren opened her mouth to respond but stop and narrowed her eyes at him with a thoughtful look coming to her moments later. "Fuck your right I would do it." Alex laughed and stood up, moving over to her and reaching up to rub his fingers along her cheek gently. "See? Now come on...chances are they will make it into a full blown party of sorts...an excuse to drink the stash of booze and get me to dance with their snobby brat daughters." Koren blushed lightly and purred from him petting her cheek then nodding some. "Fine...but one remark about me needing to be eating out of a dog dish and someone is getting hot soup dumped on them." Alex rolled his eyes, hearing the empty threat then offering his arm to her which she slowly took then proceeded to walk with him out of his room.
As Alex walked into the dining all with Koren holding his arm the nobles and their daughters all looked up, every single one of them frowning to the sight of Koren standing beside him. Alex ignored the looks as he lead Koren to where he normally sat, pulling her seat out for her and letting her sit before taking his own seat. As the nobles sat down one of the older ones spoke. "Lord...why is your...pet sitting with us? Shouldn't she be by your feet?" Koren lowered her ears and glared at the nobleman as he glared right back. Alex shook his head and spoke softly after sipping on some wine. "No...she is not my pet anymore...she is my guest until spring time...then it will be her choice on if she wants to return home." Koren nearly choked on the sip of drink she had taken before looking to him with wide eyes. Alex looked back to her with a small smile before looking to the nobles as they all looked among each other. The daughters all looked relieved that their chance with Alex didn't seem to be lost to Koren.
During dinner Koren listened to the nobles and the daughters, the nobles discussing what to do about her kingdom and her father which was annoying her. The daughters often gave a flirty grin to Alex or giggled to something he said in hopes of catching his attention which Koren could see it was annoying him greatly. Koren nibbled on her food as she looked down at the table. By the end of dinner the eldest nobleman stood up and smiled. "What sat we lighten up the evening and have some music in the throne room?" Alex had to fight his urge to roll his eyes and shake his head. Instead he gave a thin smile and nodded in agreement, hanging back at the table while the nobles and their daughters left for the throne room. Koren made a fake gagging sound and leaned back. " I swear those girls...your human females are spoiled beyond normal reason...I swear if one more gives a fake giggle I am going to smack her."
Alex laughed and stood up with Koren, gently rubbing the back of her left ear. "I know what you mean...but only way I can really stop them is to marry a princess." Koren looked to him after purring softly for a moment. "You should tell them you want me to be your wife...just might give a few of them a heart attack." Koren moved ahead of him to head to the throne room, leaving Alex standing there with a thoughtful look on his face before he finally followed after her, gently rubbing her back when he caught up to her.
Alex moved to sit in his throne as one of the nobles ordered the music to begin. No one dance though as Koren sat by Alex at the steps of the throne, looking up to him for a moment before looking to see the daughters all grouped together chatting and trying to see who had the courage to ask the prince to dance. The nobles were all seated on some couches near by that had been provided for the evening as they sipped on some wine and discussing their lives. Koren thought for a moment before looking to Alex, watching as he stood up and moved down to her, offering his hand to her.
As Koren took his hand and stood the daughters all stopped and looked at them with narrowed eyes. Alex grinned to Koren and pulled her along to begin dancing with her, his hand on her waist and the other keeping it's grip on hers. Koren blushed and put her hand on his shoulder, following his lead with the dance, often glancing over in time to see one of the daughters huffing while the others moved to their fathers to complain. By the end of it Alex was chuckling as the nobles left in a huff with their children. Alex looked to Koren with a grin as she shook her head some with a smile of her own. "Amused?" Alex nodded and put his arm around her shoulders, turning to walk with her back to his chambers. When they got there he moved behind her, unlacing the gown and helping her out of it. He moved to the fire to add more wood to it before moving to the bed, removing his own clothing and getting under the covers. Koren blushed lightly and watched him, standing beside the bed the entire time. "Come on." He held the covers up and smiled some as she climbed into the bed with him, laying down beside him and resting her head on his shoulder with a soft yawn coming from her. "Thanks for being entertaining tonight...and not throwing soup at my guests." Koren had to laugh softly at that before she fell asleep with him petting her head slowly.
