Foresight and luck part 7: out and open
#7 of Foresight and Luck series
Okay there was a delay on this one, I know and I apologize. Just a side note, the note passing: I know things aren't grammatically corret, I was trying to give them the actuall teenage feel to them. For your information, THIS story doesn't contain yiff but does contain a male homosexual couple. Said couple is the focus of the story. Should you be homophobic, or something along those lines of discomfort, please do not continue reading only to bite my head off for the story being about "fags". Otherwise it is here for ya'll to enjoy
- * * *Eyes were on him. Eyes belonging to furs he saw every day but barely knew. He gripped the velvet soft paw he was holding tighter from the fear of having so many pairs of eyes on him at once. The velvet paw he was holding for comfort was lost from his grip only to find it's way across his shoulder pulling him tight to the muscular figure that he loved. Looking up he saw his mates face had that comforting smile on his muzzle. At that moment he knew he'd make it through this. They walked up to a table that had many furs conversing, the main topic was of the couple approaching the table. As they neared the table more and more conversations ceased. A few of the furs stood up and looked at the couple with a confused look plastered on their muzzles. It was obvious that the group at the table would wait for one from the couple to speak, but he was too afraid to open his mouth let alone talk. Just as he was about to scream from fear and nerves, a velvet smooth voice broke the silence, "Hey guys in case none of you remeber, or neglected to learn, this is Ayden and..* Ayden awoke after having the same realistic dream as the night before. Carefully sitting up so he didn't disturb Zeke, the red panda brought his paws to his face as he began to think. *This has never happened before.* *Why did I have the same dream?* *What does this mean?* Ayden looked over at the clock. 5:30 A.M, it read in cerulean blue lights. It would still be another half hour before the alarm clock would go off and signal the two to get ready for school. Zeke mumbled softly and rolled over in his sleep. Ayden carefully watched his cougar with a smile. He then decided to take advantage of the time given to prepare breakfast. Carefully and slowly he began shifting his weight towards the foot of the bed. After five minutes he succesfully go his weight off the bed without the cougar noticing. He slowly padded from the foot of the bed towards the door but only took a few steps before one of Zeke's mumbles caused him to turn and look at the cougar. "Mm...I love you Ayden.." The red panda smile at the sleep cougar feeling warm inside, just as he did the first time he heard those words from Zeke two nights previous. As he got to the kitchen he had to spend a minute with is paws scavanging on the wall to find the light switch with no success. "Ugh, where's the stupid light switch to turn the light on" Ayden said in quiet frustration. Just as he finished his sentence the lights to the kitchen turned on and a rather robotic sounding woman repeated Ayden's last two words, "Lights on" Ayden stood there in suprise for a moment, "...Cool". Going to the cupboards Ayden began looking for something that he and Zeke would enjoy. Noticing a stereo sitting on the bar counter Ayden went to it and put in an album from A Day To Remeber before setting off to finding food again. Finally settling on pancakes, Ayden grabbed the box of pancake mix and set it on the counter top before going to the fridge to fetch eggs, milk, and butter. After getting everything out of the fridge he looked in the freezer and found some bacon and decided to cook some of that up as well. Going to the stove Ayden turned on two burners with two skillets on top of them, one for scrambled eggs and the other for bacon. Meanwhile he heated up the electric pancake pan after coating it with vegetable oil. Ayden was used to preparing his own meals. His dad worked all day, usually leaving the house at 5 A.M and not getting back until about 8 P.M though his hours were never exact. This gave Ayden the experience of having to cook for himself, tidy the house by himself, and do his own laudry and his dad's as well. As he was finishing the first few pancakes, eggs, and bacon he heard Zeke's alarm go off. Upstairs Zeke was groaning at the upleasant sound of the alarm that forced him out of his wonderful dream. Groaning more he rolled over to turn his alarm clock off before it disturbed Ayden, then he rolled back over to find Ayden was gone. Sitting up Zeke began looking for the red panda just as he caught a whiff of the food cooking from downstairs. Walking down to the kitchen, still in only his boxer-briefs from sleeping, the scent became stronger and the cougar's mouth started watering. Turning the corner into the kitchen Zeke saw Ayden, also in only his boxer-briefs, cooking away while singing along to another favorite band of theirs. "..If you can wait til I get home, then I swear to you that we can make this last.." Zeke joined in, "La, la, la" Ayden turned to Zeke with a smile, "Morning love" Ayden suprised himself by saying that. He didn't think about it, it just came out. Zeke walked ove to Ayden at the stove and hugged him tightly, "Good morning my love," Ayden blushed. After the hug Zeke took another sniff at the air, "Mm, this smells wonderful. Is it almost done?" Just as Zeke finished his question Ayden was turning off the burners and the pancake skillet then picked up a plate of pancakes, another plate with bacon, and a bowl of scrambled eggs. He set them on the bar counter, they were each filled enough for the two to have a filling breakfast. "Yup, chow down," Ayden said with a smile. Zeke looked at the food for a moment the gently and lovingly kissed Ayden's lips before going to grab two forks not bothering with plates. After finishing their breakfast and setting all the dishes in the sink the two went up to shower. The two giggled as they rubbed shampoo into each other's fur. They showered quickly to make up for the time they took eating. With five minutes to get dressed Ayden was, for the first time in his life, struggling over which clothes to wear. He'd normally wear tight jeans and a long sleeved and somewhat baggy shirt. But since his relationship was going to be made public today he didn't want to seem too "Flamy" or femenine. "Hurry up slow-poke," Zeke teased as he finished pulling up dark blue, semi baggy jeans then start threading the belt through to loops at the waist. Ayden turned his head to reply, stunned for a moment as he looked over the cougar's muscular torso. Quickly snapping out of his trance like state he responed, "I don't want your friends thinking I'm the flamy type," Zeke walked over with his shirt in his paw and hugged Ayden from behind, "I don't care what my friends think. Just as long as I have you." Ayden blushed as a few tears welled up in his eyes. He turned his head and kissed Zekes muzzle. "Thanks hon, you've no idea how much that means to me." Zeke nodded and slowly released Ayden to put on his Bullet For My Valentine shirt on, "We've only got a few minutes so you really should hurry," Ayden nodded at Zeke after pick out some skinny, not tight, jeans and the exact same Bullet For My Valentine shirt that Zeke was wearing. After a moment of thought Ayden put the shirt back in his bag to pick out a black and blue In This Moment shirt. Getting their school bags and cell phones the two headed out to Zeke's car and began driving off to the school. From Ayden's house the trip was about 20 minutes, but since Zeke lived on the edge of town it was just a bit longer. The school they went to was a joint school system and the high school was in the town that their shool joined with. Pulling into the stundent parking lot Ayden's nerves kicked back into one of the higher gears. Zeke parked in his normal spot surrounded by the most all the jocks at their school. They were all still hanging around thier vehicles and watched intently as Zeke pulled up. Their smiles and conversations were slowly stopped as they looked at Ayden in the cougar's car with confusion. Zeke got out of the car after getting his bag from the back seat, "Hey guys" All but one wolf was to dumbfounded to say anything, "uh, hey Zeke." he was a 6' 8" built black wolf. He was the footballs teams starting senior running back. As Zeke had his exchange Ayden was busy turning off his cell phone then trying to stuff it in his bag before Zeke could open his door. But as he zipped his bag shut he heard Zeke opening his door. He looked up to see the cougar smiling at him so he smiled back as he got out. After swinging their backpacks onto their shoulders Zeke grabbed Ayden's paw and they walked off towards the school. Zeke turned his head to address them once more, "See ya later," Zeke said. None of them heard their jaws were all dropped in shock and their eyes locked on Zeke holding Ayden's paw. Zeke chuckled at their response and turned to whisper to Ayden, "The look on their faces is priceless," Ayden looked at Zeke's smile then back at the jocks who still hadn't moved and their jaws still hung open. Ayden turned his head forward giggling softly, somewhat relieved at the sight he saw, "You're right, priceless." The two giggled to themselves as the continued walking paw in paw to the school, getting more turned heads and dropped jaws as they went. Just as they were to the plaza in front of the school's main entrance Ayden noticed a distracted wolf walking a few feet away from them, "Hey Jordan," Jordan looked up from his backpack fo find Ayden and Zeke next to him holding paws, "Aww, you to are so cute." This sparked a blush from Ayden and a chuckle from Zeke. Zeke looked past Ayden and winked at Jordan, "Thanks Jordan" For the first time in years Ayden saw his friend blush, "Uh...y-yeah no problem...I have to go" Jodan was flustered and sped off after managing to even say that. Ayden and Zeke walked paw in paw to their lockers, which were right next to each other, "You know, I think somehow this is 'our' year," Zeke said as he placed his backpack in his locker. "What do you mean?" Ayden asked as he got his school things from his backpack. "Well think about it," Zeke closed his locker door and leaned against it, already holding all the required items for his first class, "We have all the same classes together, we have lunch together, the same end of the day study period, and our lockers are right next to each other" The more Zeke listed these off the more it was less likely to be coincidential, or at least it seemed that way to the two, "Huh, I guess you're right," Ayden now had all his materials for first period, "Either way I'm glad it's this way," Ayden smiled at Zeke and kissed his lips causing Zeke to blush. During first class they started a new section that Ayden's and Zeke's school went over before the merge, so they didn't pay attention much. Instead they were passed notes by other furs asking why they were holding hands earlier. Before class the couple had predicted this would happen and decided to simply tell the truth with no covers. Ayden was the first to get a note. It was from Shelly, a vixen who was a junior like Zeke and Ayden but she was the head chearleader for football. *What was up with u and Zeke???* Was her question written in pink gel pen. Ayden grabbed his red pen and replied after deciding to mess with her a bit. *Do you mean this morning, or last night? XP* he handed the note back after the teacher looked down at his book. He then watch the vixen's facial expression as she read the note, he had to bite his tounge to stop from laughing when he saw her jaw drop. After flipping her long blonde hair over her shoulder she wrote a reply and handed it back to Ayden when the teacher wasn't looking. *R U SRIOUS? R U 2 going out or not?* Ayden continued to bite down on his tounge though he couldn't hide the amusement in his smile. *Nah last night we just cuddled. And yes we are going out* He replied. Ayden was interrupted from that conversation when he got a note from behind him. It was from Isaeh, a black panther who happened to be the co-captain of the basketball team with Zeke. *So whats up with you and Zeke?? Ayden was too scared to fool around with Isaeh like he did Shelly. *We're dating* was his simple yet effective response. He then got another note from shelly. *OMG NO WAY! U 2 make a cute couple <3* Ayden stared at the paper for a moment then looked of to see Shelly smiling as she looked first at Ayden then at Zeke and repeating. Apparently assesing how "cute" of a couple they really are. After noticing Ayden looking at her she simply smiled and him and he mouthed "Thanks" to her. "You're welcome" she mouthed her response right before the bell rang. Zeke and Ayden walked out to their lockers together and giggled as they discussed the notes they passed. The next to classes were exactly the same as the first, only since the teachers were more relaxed no one bothered with notes. The most popular questions were, how they met, had they had a first date, what was the date like, and had they had sex yet. Luckily each time they had gotten to the sex question the bell rang and they left the room with pseudo-dissapointment. Whenever the football players would pass the table Zeke and Ayden were eating lunch, they'd look at them for a moment then pass without saying a word. The community they lived in wasn't a homophobic one, though it often had troubles accepting homosexuality. When they got done eating and were waiting for the lunch period to end they cuddled together, not caring who saw. Some of the girls at the next table let out a simultaneous "Aww" then giggled as the cupple looked over at them. After looking back at each other the kissed each other's lips, and naturally the bell rang right as they did. Throughtout their next class and the end of the day study period the couple wasn't bugged with furs asking if the two were an item. With high school being a gossip magnet, the information of them being a couple spread quickly. At the end of the day Ayden and Zeke were forced to say goodbye at their lockers. Zeke had football practice and Ayden had to go home eventually. "Well today was fun," Ayden said to Zeke as they leaned their shoulders on their lockers. "Yeah it was, but I'm glad it's out of the way. Hey do you think I could stay at your place tonight? My house is going to be too lonely" Zeke pleaded with a begging face that Ayden couldn't say no to. The red panda kissed Zeke's lips before responding, "Yeah, i'll let my dad know you're staying." "Thanks babe," The two smiled and had a quick kiss before Zeke started off for practice and Ayden went to Jordan's car. As he walked to Jordan's car some of the football players grabbing their equipment from their vehicles stopped the red panda. It was the same black wolf that had spoken to Zeke this morning along with one of the senior lineman, a huge bull. Though it was the wolf who spoke. "So you and Zeke are the new FAG couple?" he put a little anger behind the word fag. Ayden chuckled softly how he used the word was used out of context, "What's so funny faggot," "For one, if you want to insult me, please use words in their proper context," He began walking away towards Jordan's car only a few feet away, "and two, I was just wondering how bad your homo-complex really is." As he got in Jordan's car he saw that the two made no attempt to punish him for his insult. This only reassured him of his suspision of their homophobic front being nothing more than a cover. Especially for the wolf, he had his fists and jaw clenched for show but his eyes showed fear. Fear of his realization at how insightful the red panda was. Jordan looked at Ayden in amazement after they were out of the student parking lot, "That was awesome," "Thanks," but that was all the more they talked on that subject. Jordan was going through all the rumours he heard about Ayden and Zeke from the school day. Then Ayden remembered he had to call and let his dad know about Zeke staying. He turned his phone on after getting it out of his back pack then hit the speed dial for his dad's cell, though he could probably dial the whole number just as fast. "Hello," He heard his dad answer. "Hey dad, it's Ayden. Zeke's parents are out of town, is it alright if he stays the night?" Though Zeke's parents were now out of town for two weeks, Ayden didn't see how that would be relevant to his dad. "Uh, sure. I'm not going to be home.." Ayden cut him off from his routine spill, "..till late, yeah I know. Oh and just so you know, he and I are dating." "Oh, you two haven't.." Ayden cut his dad off again not wanthing to hear the rest of his question, "BYE DAD. SEE YA TONIGHT" Ayden hung up quickly. Jordan got to Ayden's house in a hurry, "Hey I'll see you later." Ayden looked at the wolf as he getting out of the car, "You aren't coming in?" "No. I'm going to meet this guy. I'll see you later." "Yeah," Ayden replied as he closed the car door and started walking in the house. *Jordan's actually going to go meet someone?* *A guy so that means it's most likely a date.* *Is he really finally over his break up?* Ayden decided not to think anymore of it as he got inside to wait for Zeke to arrive. *(TO BE CONTINUED)* * * *
So I was thinking maybe I'll do a side chapter to explain a little bit of Jordan's past and his upcoming date. Leave a comment if you'd like to see that or not. And Ideas for that would help as well.
