A Fight for Love
She stood at the edge of town hidden in the trees as promised, waiting for him to return. She was enjoying the new life she lived, traveling together with her lover, keeping each other company and more, it was a good change of pace. Her name was Miroku, a busty caracal lynx, and she was beautiful. She stood 5'3" with white hair and, large emerald green eyes, and curves that her newfound lover was occasionally caught ogling at, if his mouth was open he'd probably have been drooling she often found herself thinking. She mainly had black fur excluding the white fur that appeared in a few places, circling around her eyes and ears, covering from her chest to her stomach before forming two lines that wrapped around to her back to point at the also white dot between the two ends, the tip of her tail, and high on the insides of each thigh. She wore comfortable traveling clothes as she always did, a blue cotton T-Shirt, faded jeans that fit just snug enough to reveal the curve of her hips and bottom, and white, lightweight hiking shoes. The only thing she still hadn't gotten used to was the enchanted dagger at her hip, a gift to keep her safe because of her lover's profession.
"What's taking him so long?" She asked herself, looking around. "We were supposed to leave a half hour ago..."
"Hey beautiful," He whispered into her ear from behind, making her jump away from him in slight surprise, her fur standing on end as she stood there.
"You jerk!" She turned and slapped his chest half heartedly as he chuckled lightly.
His name was Kurojaki, but she was the only one that was able to get away with just calling him Kuro. He was almost a foot taller than her, missing by an inch at 6'2", but he was also a year younger than her. He was lean and muscular. A fox with all black fur excluding the hot pink lines around his eyes that turned into lines running towards the back of his head, stopping with a needle point at his temples, and the jagged hot pink swirl that ran from the base of his long and bushy tail, to the tip.. He wore no shirt as usual, but he did wear fingerless black gloves, black jeans, and black boots. He was wearing a hooded black duster though, using it to hide himself from the rest of the world because of his secret. He was a knight of the Holy Order, but he was also a demon, he couldn't let the innocent souls find out that the Order had let a demon join their ranks. Outside the duster, wrapped around his chest, was a leather strap with a large dagger sheathed and tied to the front running along the strap with the handle placed for a left hand draw, and on the back, a loop which held his larger than normal cutlass which held a jagged edge on one side, angled for a right hand draw.
"What took you so long?" She asked as he pulled their bag from the branch it was hanging from.
"I was getting you a surprise," He said as he dug into his pocket and pulled out a small box and held it out to her. "I saw it and thought of you... I had to get it for you."
She took the box and untied the ribbon around it before opening it to find a bracelet filled with charms and a small string of hearts across the top. She blushed a little as she looked at him, seeing his goofy smile with too much teeth. He gently took it from her and put it around her wrist.
"Thank you, Kuro," She took the opportunity to tip toe kiss his cheek.
"Are you ready to go milady?" He asked as he swung the bag over his shoulder before taking her hand, "I figure we'll have to camp tonight then we'll reach the next town tomorrow."
She giggled and squeezed his hand as they walked out onto the main road and started towards the next town. He was always polite and charming, but about a mile away from town, she noticed he was acting a bit paranoid, contradicting his usually laid back personality when he was around her. He was constantly looking around, his slitted eyes a dull silver instead of their usual sparkling silver that she came to enjoy looking into.
"What's wrong?" She asked as he looked around again.
"I keep sensing another demon around here, but his energy keeps fading in and out at random."
"Do you think he's following us?"
"No, I think he's setting an ambush, whether it's for us or not is a different matter," He said as he slid the bag from his shoulder and gave it to her to hold, "Stay behind me."
She did as requested willingly. She could take care of herself, but demons were a different story. She often left demons up to him after seeing him fight for the first time. He was reckless, but then again, so were the demons. Half his wounds were self caused by his own power though, using so much to defeat the demon as fast as possible, especially if it was in a public place so no one but him would get hurt. She was always waiting with bandages, kisses, and hands that worked magic, as he often said, into his tense, sore, and knotted muscles. He was always ready and willing to return the love and affection no matter how big or small though, which made up for the fear he caused her when he went off to fight. It was amazing to her though, she didn't expect him to be like this, she never anything like this from someone that looked the way he did, and he was a demon no less.He was just as stunned by her, no fear or shock when he revealed his true nature to her, admitting what he was and expecting a harshness that never came.
"We're getting close," He said as he reached over his shoulder and drew his cutlass.
"Be careful," She said, her heart always felt like it was breaking every time he returned to her with more than just a few cuts and sore muscles.
"Damn it," He suddenly turned and grabbed her, pulling her out of the way as his sword lashed out and collided with metal, though there was nothing in front of him. "That's why he was fading in and out... he's cloaking!"
She gasped as he suddenly as he reached his hand out and cut it open on his sword before splashing his blood onto the invisible enemy. She was a bit angered at how he carelessly wounded himself, just so the demon would lose its advantage.
"Let's see you hide from me now," He said as he drew the dragger with his bloody hand, revealing that it had a blood curse on it, and stepping into the stab, only driving the demon backwards. "No you don't!"
He jumped after the demon, bringing his sword down in a strong swing, only cutting air. He paused and sniffed at the air though, finding the scent almost immediately and vanishing, but she knew he didn't really vanish, he was releasing his energy to distort space and move through it, making him allowing him to move at the speed of light... an ability he often referred to as Flash Step. She could hear the ensuing battle off to the side of the road a few yards away, but she remained where she stood, not knowing what would happen.
The explosion caused her to jump and gasp though, but shock soon turned to fear as Kurojaki came crashing through the trees and tumbling across the road, landing on his side. She started moving towards him but paused at the growl, his body engulfing itself in blue flames as he reached out and grabbed his sword then got to his feet, seemingly uninjured except for a few cuts and scrapes. The demon emerged from the trees as well, but this time it was visible. It made him look like an ant in size, decaying flesh and large snout with one long arm ended with steel like claws, a portion of its bulbous, grotesque stomach missing, a sign that Kurojaki had used a bomb... but she knew his bombs weren't powerful enough to throw him the way he came crashing through the trees. He stood there and readied his sword as the demon took staggering steps towards him. All the flames around his body moved and concentrated on the blade of his cutlass before he charged forward. He jumped and swung his sword, cleaving through the demon's neck, killing it. The body and head fell to the ground, only to turn into ash and sink into the earth, descending back to the underworld.
"Don't worry, I'm okay princess," He said as she barreled into him with a tight hug after he sheathed his sword.
"Stop scaring me like that you reckless fool," She cried into his chest.
"I'm sorry," He said softly as his eyes returned to their sparkling cilver color, his hands wrapping around her and holding her tightly.
He hissed as she pulled the stitches tight on his back... still not believing that he had managed to be caught and thrown by the larger demon. He was almost patched up, but he said he didn't need a massage... instead, he was giving one to apologize for scaring her when he was thrown through the trees. She wasn't given an accept or decline option, he became a brick wall which she didn't expect when she tried to wiggle her way out of it, wanting to give him because he had battled a monster that tossed him around like an empty soda can. But he didn't budge on the subject. She finished the stitches on his back and leaned down, kissing just beside it since she didn't want to put anything in it after she had just disinfected it and stitched it closed. She let him up, moving to the side as he sat up and looked at her with a gentle thank you, sitting down beside her.
"You're a mess, you know that?" She said as she ran her fingers through the fur along his neck and between his ears.
"Yeah, that happens every now and then."
"Well... I guess if you're not giving me a choice, we better get this over with," She said as she lifted her bottom off the ground and slide between his legs with her back facing him, "shirt on or off?"
"Off," He chuckled softly into her ear as he grabbed the hem and of her shirt and started lifting it up. "I want you to feel this."
"Okay," She pulled it off, shaking her hair back down as it fell out of her shirt.
He sneakily unclasped her bra, letting the string fall but not removing it as he placed his hands on her shoulder and started working his thumbs into her muscle. She started purring as her head dropped a bit. He started working his hands down, massaging the muscles along her back, especially the ones running parallel to each other with her spine in the middle. He leaned down and started licking and kissing the back of her neck as his hands reached her lower back and the very top of her butt. He started working his way back, making her sigh, a small moan escaping her throat as he nipped at her neck. She groaned as a single claw extended from his index finger and started tracing the wings on her back, then the design underneath it, his other hand tickling up and down her spine. She gasped and shivered as he gently bit the side of her neck, he didn't bite hard enough for his teeth to puncture and draw blood though. It was more of a marking type bite, a move he loved giving as well as receiving.
"Kuro..." She sighed his name as she suddenly leaned back against him and looked up at him as he wrapped his arms around her and rested his hands on her stomach.
"Miroku..." He said before he kissed her deeply, his tongue slipping past her lips to entangle itself with hers.
They fell asleep like this, Kurojaki lying back and Miroku crawling up his body to keep her head at his chest.
Kurojaki laughed as walked back and forth quickly between the merchant stands within the square of the town they were visiting. She was easily distracted, and she was giving very obvious signs of such, but it's one of the things he loved about her.
"You know we can't buy everything in the market square right?" He teased as she noticed him just standing there with a smile and walked back over.
"I know, but that doesn't mean I can't look," She said as she looked at the bracelet around her wrist, "I'm more than happy with this bracelet."
"I'm glad you like it," He smiled as he took her hand and they started walking again.
It was a beautiful town but they were only staying long enough to restock a healthy amount of supplies before they traveled back to the temple. Kurojaki was called for a mission by the Order, but it was still unknown as to if she was allowed to travel with him or not. He was sure she could travel with him, but she would have to take a hotel room at night and wait from him to return in the morning.
"Shall we go find somewhere to get something to eat?"
"Definitely!" She said excitedly as she pulled him away from the market square to look for a small restaurant.
They settled on a small place, an outside diner where they happily sipped some coffee and ate some of the best food they'd ever had. Kurojaki was a bit uneasy though as more than a few people stared at the young couple enjoying themselves. It was no surprise as he walked around in a duster with his hood up while the rest of the town wore regular clothes. He admitted that it was a bit odd and suspicious. But what came from it was a frightening experience as the town guard approached their table.
"Excuse us, miss, "He nodded to her before looking at Kurojaki. "Sir, I'm gonna have to ask you to come with me."
"Why?" Kurojaki asked with a regular bland voice.
"Other citizens feel uncomfortable around you because you're hiding your face and carrying weapons, we simply want to confirm that you mean no harm."
"I'm a knight of the Holy Order, why would I be here to hurt anyone?"
"He wouldn't hurt a soul mister, honestly," Miroku said, trying to use the fact that she was a woman to help him, "He's escorting me to the temple."
"Still, we need to do it to put the people at ease," He reached out and grabbed Kurojaki's shoulder, but Miroku made a small mistakes and slapped his hand away. "Miss, I must ask you to let us..."
"He doesn't have to, he hasn't done anything wrong," She defended.
"Lieutenant, get her out of the way!"
Kurojaki was on his feet the same instant the guard roughly grabbed her, pressing his dagger to the captain throat underneath the full headed helmet. He had no intention of killing him, but he needed them fear him enough to back down.
"That's enough Miroku," He said, reassuringly to her as the guard let her go and grabbed the handle of his sword. "I'll come with you, but any of you lay a hand on her, the rules say nothing about hurting you..."
"But Kuro?"
"I'll be fine!" He smiled as he sheathed his dagger and removed his weapons, holding them out to her, "Keep these safe until I..."
In that moment, their world came crashing down as the captain suddenly reached up and yanked his hood down. He was revealed to the town as a demon, most knowing the deference between feral fur and fur that was washed and conditioned. His slitted eyes also gave him away to them.
"DEMON!!!"
The crowd soon scattered as Kurojaki ripped his duster away and raised his gloved fists to the surrounding guards, Miroku taking his swords and backing up to the sidelines. He wasn't as efficient with hand to hand, but he wasn't anywhere near a whelp either. He caught the captains incoming baton and punched him square in the nose of his helmet, his knuckles making a loud cracking sound on impact as it sent the captain to the ground in a daze, his next attack was a sharp and powerful knee to his stomach, driving the man to the ground before he took off at a run. The guards took chase as Miroku just stood there with a hint of fear in her eyes. This was different from humans, he loved the order, and the rules prevented him from doing too much even if they did attack him.
"He's not gonna like this but I have to do something to help," She yelled as she chased after them.
He was running through the town's roads and alleys as fast as his fox legs could carry him without enhancing with his power, or using his flash step, he didn't have enough free space to perform such a move. He was losing ground though as he found himself trying to move through a crowd of people, as well as dodging other guards that joined in the chase.
"Damn it, I'm going to have to fight some off again," He said to himself as he stopped.
This was going to be a bit more tricky though as they all charged in at once. Kurojaki pumped only a tiny bit off energy through his body to move just a bit faster. He kicked and punched at two while another took their places in the same instant and came in at him from the sides. He jumped with a spin, his left foot lashing out and knocking the guard on his right unconscious, landing on his left foot once more as his right foot lashed out as well in a side kick, taking the breath away from the guard that had been coming in from his left, doubling him over as he wretched, trying to inhale much needed air but his struggle was unsuccessful for a few short seconds.
"Damn it!" He said as more charged in and he was over powered.
He fought the restraints that were soon placed on him before two guards started dragging him away. Miroku stood at the edge of the circle the crowd had made as she watched in horror, her lover being hauled away. She slowly slid to her knees as tears began rolling down her cheeks.
He looked around with a growl as he stood in the court room, bound to the floor through shackles and chains as he was on display for the town as well as the head of the town's guard force. He looked up at him as he cleared his throat. He knew this wasn't going to be a fair trial, they were just doing it to please a teary eyed woman. But he knew he was done for in the trial, they called his every word a lie and even cut him off before he had a chance to explain.
"What's your name Kurochaki?"
"Kurojaki," He growled at the man.
"Well Kurojaki... I hereby sentence you to death. You will be hung at dawn."
He heard Miroku yell no as the slits of his eyes grew narrow, the color turning to a dark gray as they followed the man across the room and out the side door until the guards cam up and put different wrist and ankle shackles on him before taking off the ones that tied him to the ground. He was escorted through the crowd, Miroku stepping in the way and grabbing him by the ears and pulling him down into a deep kiss.
"Don't worry, I'm not done yet," He whispered into her ear when she broke the kiss and hugged him tightly.
She was pulled away despite his growling and attempts to bite the guard's hand. He walked willingly though as they pushed him forward. He did have a plan, but it was a plan that wouldn't be useable until the rope was around his neck the following morning, until then he'd await in his cell, meditating and preparing his body, mind, and building his energy for what he was going to do come the hanging.
"Hey, are you awake... do demons even sleep?"
"I have a soul you know..." He said as he lifted his head, "And I can't reall tell you, I sleep, but I'm not like most demons."
"All demons are the same, it's even worse that you were posing as a knight of the Holy Order," She hissed at him. "How could you bring yourself so low?"
"I'm not lying about being a part of the Order..." He said as he slowly got to his feet and looked at her. "One, I could break out of this cell with a snap of my fingers, two, I didn't kill any of the town guards, and three, what the hell do you want, if you're here to antagonize me, you'd better just leave."
"I figured I'd do something nice for that girl that kissed you, she seemed so heartbroken I couldn't ask her if I could help then go back on my word," She held the small clothe wrapped item through the bars.
"You talked to Miroku... what did she say?"
"Just asked me to give this too you," She said as she started walking away. "I'll be tossing rotten apples at you in the morning!"
He unwrapped the cloth to reveal the bracelet he had bought her only two days ago. He smiled as a small tear swelled up in his eye before he put it around his wrist, the wrist of the hand he often used to hold hers when they walked. Morning couldn't come fast enough for him as he waited all through the long night.
Miroku watched from under the hood as he was walked onto the platform, the rope being tied as he made his way up the steps. She drew her dagger as well as his, hissing as the blood curse burnt her hand a bit, but she didn't care, she had to save him. He stopped at the trap door and the rope was lowered over his neck and tightened.
"Do you have any last words?"
"Yes I do!" He said, making sure everyone heard him. "I'm not done yet!"
He wanted his escape to be public as he activated his soul flame, burning the rope away before he jumped into the air, bring his knees to his chest as he swung his arms under him and in front before jumping into the crowd and running towards Miroku. She sheathed his dagger and drew his sword, holding it out to him as he ran passed her. He grabbed it and continued running as she took her stance, ready to fight off any guard that came at her.
Kurojaki quickly used the butt of his cutlass and snapped the chains that bound his wrist shackles together before holding the cutlass and turning, facing the guards following him. He perries the first attack, swinging his sword and clubbing the guard along the side of his head with the flat of his sword, his eyes flicking to Miroku to see she was also fighting off a few guards for having helped him, but she was using the flats of the daggers, resisting the urge to kill for almost seperating them. He focused on his own fighting as he started dodging and blocking attacks from four different guards, working his way closer and closer to his love with each attack. He was getting closer, by now the crowd had cleared, revealing how many guards were left now, only ten and the captain who was alongside the head of the justice providers. They quickly fought off the remaining guards, finding themselves still 30 yards away from each other.
"Well, you're quit the fighter demon," The head officer said as he drew the gun from his belt. "But let's see how fast you are?"
Kurojaki's eyes widened in shock as the trigger was pulled, but hehad just barely enough room to flash step infront of her, the slug burrying itself in his chest, burning a whole into his heart and lodging itelf in his shoulderblade. He dropped instantly with the impact, his eyesopen wide as he stared up into the sky, panting and slowly growing cold, a feeling he hadn't felt before.
"No... Kuro!!!" She dropped to her knees beside him. "Kuro, get up, you have to get up!"
He smiled as his eyes slowly fluttered shut, his head rolling to the side as his last breath left him with a an echo of a word. She started crying, her tears falling to his chest and soaking into his fur, mixing with the blood from the bullet wound.
"You promised..." She said through her sobbing before she slammed her fist against his chest repeatedly. "You fucking promised!!!"
She continued to hit his chest until she fell against it, depositing her tears directly into his fur as a small chuckle left the two men standing and watching. Her cat eyes slitted as rage filled her, her hand reaching out and grabbing the nearest object which was his sword.
"I guess he wasn't fast enough save himself," The captain chuckled as he holstered the pistol.
"You son of a bitch!!!" She screamed as she charged forward, Kurojaki's sword pointed straight for his chest.
The captain stepped in the way with a raised foot, kicking her in the stomach and sending her to the ground, Kurojaki's cutlass clinging against the stone as it landed. She weezed for air while holding her stomach, her eyes wide with panic because she couodn't find her breath, but it eventually returned as the head guardsman put his foot on her shoulder and drew his pistol once more.
"You love him so much, it would be evil of me not to send you with him," He cocked the hammer and pointed it down at her, but the explosion drew his attention to wear Kurojaki's body would be, visible if it wasn't for the cloud of dust that now engulfed the area. "What the fuck was that?"
She tilted her head backwards to see the red energy barely bleeding through the dust, a silhouette at the core of the the energy. It continued walking forward, emerging from the cloud of dust to reveal a living Kurojaki, the hole in his chest completely healed. He looked feral, his ur standing on end, the hot pink fur around his eyes and swirling around his tail now blood red, his silver eyes now black with his slitted pupils now blood red as well.
"I suggest you let her go," He said, his voice sounding dark, screeching like steel against steel.
"Oh really," He pointed the gun back down at her. "And what if I..."
Kurojaki appeared before him with a hard right hook, smashing him against the ground. He looked at the captain next and started slowly walking towards him. Miroku was amazed at the energy he emitted, she remembered him explaining it to her once, this strange energy was his chaos, his true demonic nature, his blood lust, his desire to fight and win.
"Okay... you made your point!" The captain said, backing away from him with two steps to his one step.
"You hurt Miroku," He growled, clenching his fist. "No one hurts my Miroku!"
He jumped forward and slammed his fist into the captain's chest, sending him skidding a few feet across the ground. Kurojaki turned to Miroku and walked towards her, seeing the tears that she still shed as he kneeled and took her hand before kissing her knuckle.
"I made a promise, didn't I," He smiled as he pulled her up, his tails reaching out and scooping up his sword as he picked her up like his bride and carried her away, also stopping to retrieve their daggers as he carried her all the way out of town.
Kurojaki looked down at her with lust filled eyes as he hovered over her, their naked bodies pressed tightly against one another as she pulled him down into a kiss, their tongues wrestling for dominance over the other's mouth. Her fingers dug into his back with each press of hi hips, pressing his length between her nether lips, the tip putting pressure on her clitty, causing her to moan into his mouth.
"My demon knight," She said as they broke away from eachother.
"My beautiful princess," He smiled, his hips sliding back and putting his cock against her opening, he leaned down and gently bit into her neck as he slid inside her.
"Oh my!" She gasped as he didn't pause until he was hilted inside her.
?me he murred through the bite into her neck as he slowly started pulling out and thrust back in, making her gasp once more. He repeated this slow movement until he found a suitable rythm. She moaned as he mated her and marked her neck once more. He continued to do so until she suddenly rolled them so she was on top, her hands on his chest as she stared down at him, her hair a wild mess as she started to grind down against him, groaning and biting her lip in the process. He grabbed her hips as she started lifting her hips slowly, then letting them slide back down him. Soon she couldn't help herself anymore as he lifted his head and took a nipple from her swinging breasts between his teeth and started rolling it, causing her eyes to squeeze shut as her juices leaked around his cock in a mini orgasm. His hands rubbed at her hips as he switched to her other nipple. She started riding him faster as he started thrusting his hips up, meeting her fall with a wet smack as their hips conected.
"Oh, Kuro...* she panted as she bounced upon him, his hand traveling up and down her sides now.
He didn't answer, he instead intended on showing her as he rolled them again, starting to grind at the end of each thrust as he started thrusting faster. He leaned into a kiss, his tongue not bothering with the ensuing fight but instead wrapping around her tongue and sucking gently as he gave a hard thrust and hilted deeply inside her. she started panting as he started giving her multiple thrusts like this, pre spurting from him inside her. Neither of them expected to last that long as she started pushing back at him, her cunnie growing wetter andtighter as it tried to squeeze it out of him. He thrust deep into her over and over as she started cumming, her juices soaking his fur as he released his seed deep inside her. His cock twitching and bouncing around inside her through her orgasm, sloshing the hot demon seed around inside her.
"Kuro..." She panted as he lay on top of her, nuzzling into her neck as he wrapped his arms around her, she felt his chest heave a little as he started crying into her neck.
She smiled and rubbed his back, comforting him as he let his own fear of being seperated from her, it had been bottled up long enough inside him. She kissed the top of his head and heldhim against her until they both fell victim to fatigue and their body's gave way to sleep.
